Spent four nights at this hotel through work. Whilst I cannot fault the cleanliness of the rooms, I did find it noisy. There appeared to be some sort of fan or motor periodically starting up, then shutting down. This would go on four about twenty minutes or so. I managed to ignore the sound and not let it disrupt my sleep. Towards the end of the week an almighty mechanical noise began around 07:00. It may have been a heat pump as it seemed to coincide with people using the shower or bath. The room was cleaned daily and they provided additional sugar and a loo brush on request. The provision of a fan was well received as the last few nights have been quite warm. I appreciate the room wasn't the biggest but the addition of a comfy chair to watch the TV or read would have been a nice touch. The convenience of the pub being part of the hotel, meant there was no need to drive anywhere for an evening meal. The service was prompt, food was good too. Overall

Great pub, hotel and restaurant. Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Ideal for anyone and everyone to use, from family meals to business meetings/stays. Great location with easy access with lots of amenities close by. Would definitely recommend

Not a 5⭐ hotel, but definitely great value, with a good choice of food in the Bar/Restaurant The hotel has easy access from the motorway with ample parking, and although small, the rooms were clean and tidy and adequate for the stay. All in all, it perfectly suited my needs and would stay again

I have stayed here a couple of times and find the place convenient, cheerful and close to everything I need. Rooms are modern enough, with decent smart TVs. Bathrooms are a little outdated, but clean and perfectly usable. Place could do with contactless key entry, as it's a pain having to use actual keys to get through the building front door when arriving. Breakfast is decent and it's handy having the pub/restaurant just outside the hotel. Noise isn't too bad from there either. By 10pm I was able to settle down to sleep quite easily! Will be booking here more often.

Stayed over for a couple of nights as I was working close by. Reception is inside of the pub. Rooms are decent sized, but I found it really dusty. Spent a good portion of the night, coughing and wheezing. Didn't try any food or breakfast as you had to go to the pub to eat. Drainage in the bathroom was really slow. Both in the bathtub and basin.

Attended a wedding reception. Didn't stay, so unable to give any stars on rooms or service. The building itself is situated under a main A road, so lots of noise.

Clean, comfortable rooms, nice and quiet. Only soap, shampoo and towels are provided in terms of toiletries. Pub next door serves the food which is very good. Very friendly staff.

Arrived late and had to knock them up. They were so nice and never minded at all. Had to buy breakfast separately but it was nice loads to eat. They even gave the children a cake to take with them

Good Value weekend accommodation and friendly staff. Spacious rooms, maybe ready for bit of maintenance in places, but overall good value. Staff really helpful, good breakfast choice, pub and food just the ticket.

The rooms were cleanish. Hoovering under beds once in a while would help. The pub was spacious and staff were so friendly. We didn't book brekkie with the room, but ordered adhoc and it was very good. Just was not happy that they charged us extra for a cup of coffee (£3.10!) even though I said we wanted to go for the £3.99 breakfast which included tea, coffee, juice. Would have been nice to let us know that we would be charged extra for it because we were going off menu.

The hotel room was nice, clean and tidy but have had to mark it down a couple of stars for a few reasons: There was only one towel in the bathroom despite having booked a double room for two people. There was no real ale available. As our stay was a Sunday we thought that perhaps they'd had a busy weekend but, upon asking, we were told it had been quite quiet. The price of the first two drinks was quite shocking and yet later rounds of 8-10 drinks seemed better value; perhaps we were overcharged? When we ordered a gin and tonic, we didn't expect the whole bottle of tonic to be poured into the glass. Maybe it was a new member of staff.

The meeting room exceeded the expectations. The room was setup as requested, was clean, and had the necessary items for a meeting. Sarah was awesome. She was very friendly and helpful. She took care of us while using the meeting room.

Three night stay. From moment we arrived staff were welcoming and friendly, nothing too much trouble. When asked where we had parked and I said the disabled bay, the receptionist immediately offered to put us in a ground floor room. Room was very clean and comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was included and the choices were very good. We also ate in the adjoining pub in the evening, good choice and well cooked and presented. Thoroughly enjoyed each meal we had. Staff were very helpful and attentive throughout . We were very impressed and wouldn't hesitate to stay again and to recommend to others both for meals and the hotel.

We have stayed here longer than anticipated and been made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The staff have been really great, they're very friendly and happy which is a reflection on management and couldn't ask for better. The food never fails to disappoint and make the best poached eggs. Lovely gardens to sit in and have a drink enjoying the pleasant warm evenings.

We stayed here for 2 nights and thought all the staff were delightful and extremely helpful. The family room was spacious and clean which is a pleasant surprise for a room that excepts dogs, I usually find it quite the opposite. We ate breakfast here both mornings and ate dinner here both evenings. Food was nice, although I'd say the chili Nachos were a bit odd to be honest they weren't the usual kind and were more like deep fried crackers. The only thing that really stops it from being a 5* for me was the bit of disorganisation, waiting for staff and lack of communication at times. We kind of had to find things out for ourself (like check out times & breakfast wasn't to be ordered through the app like everything else!), which any good organisation shouldn't make you do. Also, we paid extra for cheesy bacon on two different burgers and didn't get it. Because nobody came outside to ask if our food was ok or clean the plates away we couldn't tell anyone. When I told a lady later on at the bar she just laughed and another guy made a joke about bacon being a must on burgers - odd! Also, on the hotel side of things we didn't have enough towels the first night as they only out us down as 1 person staying instead of 3. Simple error and they resolved that at least. All being said it was still a lovely stay.
