Our stay was exceptional. The room was very comfortable, stocked with everything you might need and the shower was modern and well pressured. We had a private patio and spent time relaxing outdoors. The bed was super comfy and we slept soundly through the night. We also ate at the in-house restaurant. Amazing food and one of the best Portuguese dinners I’ve eaten. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I plan to make a habit of staying here when I visit Covilhã. I can’t imagine anyone else going to such efforts to make the stay so pleasant. One of the best hotel stays I’ve ever experienced.

Room was very clean, pleasant, nice rustic atmosphere in the renovated stone walled building. The breakfast was the icing on the cake - the best I had in my stay in the region. Delicious bread and local cheese, scrambled eggs made to order, very fresh fruits and fresh juice to go along. Also, very nice staff. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Casa Das Muralhas for two days and I absolutely loved it. The view was outstanding, the room was perfect, great bed, great view, great WiFi. I was so impressed because this is one of the first hotels that had a really nice range of pillow sizes and a perfect one for me. The restored old stone house is really beautiful. The weather was a bit cool but I could not resist a plunge in the pool. It was cool but absolutely refreshing. One awesome feature, the outside rinse-off showers are really unique, basically a control faucet in the stone wall allows you to turn on the water and out from the top of rock the wall comes the water, just like a mountain stream....a wonderful feature! My stay was extremely comfortable and relaxing. The staff was really great and friendly. The parking can be a little challenging given the medieval streets, but be patient and slow and you will find the perfect spot. Everything in town is within close walking distance, but steep which is good if you are active. I give my highest recommendation to Casa das Muralhas. I will stay here again anytime I am in Covilha. Also. please check out the restaurant, it is delicious.

Truly a special place. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Close to everything. Driving in this city is not for the faint of heart with very tiny streets, but doable even in a big car. Parking is on the street, found a space easily.

Lovely boutique hotel in Covilha. They have got so many things right - from simple, yet sophisticated decor to figs grown on site, a saltwater pool, great views. Will definitely visit again

This was my second stay. It never ceases to surprise me! The booking process was very professional and kind. The rooms are very elegant, clean and comfortable. The terrace is welcoming with an amazing view and filled with beautiful details that are so pleasant to see. The Bistro Restaurant has a great atmosphere. The food is delicious and the selection of wines exquisite. All this added to the nicest staff I've met, makes it an experience I want to come back to again and again.

We've stayed for some nights at the hotel and the service was great. The staff is very nice and caring. The room had a lot of space and was extremely clean. The view from the room was also very nice and the temperature was easily adjustable. There is a swimming pool which is also very nice. There is Netflix service for free in all the rooms and the internet speed is one of the best I found in a hotel. The location is good but in the old town which means some difficulties bringing the car (specially if a large one) and some challenges parking during the high season. The access to the hotel rooms is not easy for people with reduced mobility, at least from this experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the property for 3 nights and it was just perfect. A team that helps with any problem. Recommends special places, restaurants and events to maximize your stay. An outstanding breakfast, including considering me as gluten sensitive. I received very tasty muffins every morning and an omelette. Always ready to help and 😊with a smile. Thank you very much!!

We loved staying at Casa Das Muralhas! This artistically decorated modern hotel is located in a historic building that was renovated in 2018. Our comfortable balcony room on the top floor gave us a spectacular view of sunrise over the misty lowlands and red tile rooftops of the town. Catarina was very helpful with tourist information about the town and she was able to accommodate our gluten-free request with delicious queijadas for breakfast. The meal was divine with exquisite espresso; fresh orange/carrot/apple juice; and house made pumpkin, tomato, and fig jams with cheese and ham. My only regret is that we we weren’t able to snag a dinner reservation in the bistro for the night before.

Thank you for the wonderful stay, the clean and pleasant room, perfect breakfast and helpful personnel. We stayed for three nights and we had dinner in the hotel restaurant we really enjoyed. Good food, good wine pairing and exquisite service! Also: walking distance from the city centre and the guy at breakfast told us all about the must-do things in city & surrounding. Would definitely recommend thus family run hotel & restaurant!

I absolutely loved this hotel. The pre arrival communication was wonderful, check in easy and informative and the room was fantastic. I treated myself to higher view overlooking the town and valley. The pool was wonderful and deliciously quiet for my liking, but in high season, the atmosphere of lots of people would be great. Their in-house restaurant was superb. The food was of the highest quality and the waiter's wine knowledge and explanations was great; best b of all was the ability to have wonderful wines by the glass and try a few regions over dinner. Breakfast was tailored and friendly again highlighted regional produce. I'm rarely impressed but I can't recommend this place highly enough.

We had dinner at the restaurant of Casa das Muralhas. Excellent service from Filipe and Diana. Good food and a wine selection that had good thought on it. Keep up the good work. Danke!

Called in for a quick drink before going next door for dinner. It was a good idea! The space is very pleasant with good views from the terrace. Our waiter was friendly and professional and the wine and beer were good quality and reasonably priced.

Calm terrace with views for the outdoor pool and panoramic views of the mountains. Great for summer nights. Ambient music not too loud, and sometimes live concerts. Small but enough selection of cocktails, with table service. You can sit on the tables available, or just be in the balcony looking the view.
