A 4-star hotel that acts like a 2-star hotel! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a luxury experience. FYI, I have never left a bad review in my entire life up until now. That’s how lousy this place is. I almost enjoyed this hotel up until its housekeeping staff started slamming on my door 2 hours before check out, while I was on a conference call with my company’s entire senior leadership team, even though I had a “do not disturb” sign up. This is the type of experience I would expect at a 2 star hotel, not a 4 star one. I pay extra money for experience & privacy. Had to spend an annoying amount of time sending out apology emails for the obnoxious interruption by the housekeeper who just wouldn’t stop knocking. And best of all, this hotel completely offended me by sending me 15k reward points (after having to complain multiple times). That is worth slightly more than 1/4 of the price of a one night weekend stay. Truly glad to know what my time is worth to the management team here. Yea, no thanks, you can have your lousy points back. I’ll go stay at a real 4 star hotel next time - one who respects the privacy of their guests and takes actual accountability for their mistakes.

Pros: -Good location -Good lighting in the room, except by the vanity mirror. -Nice lobby. -Starbucks on the first floor. Cons: -Be warned there is a $24 check in fee if you want to check in before 4pm. Even if your room is ready, they don't care it's still $24. -If you check in online and it sends you your room key through the app the front desk will not give you a hard key before 4pm unless you want to pay $24. Even though I had a virtual key they told me I could not go up to my room before 4pm. -The shower floor wasn't well thought out, it's not slanted so all the water doesn't go down the drain you are standing in about a 1/2 inch of water while you shower. -The shower appeared to have mold in the corners and on the outside areas. -The bed was ok but the comforter had a hole in it so feathers got everywhere. - There is no AC, the thermostat lies to you. The room was about 75 degrees when we arrived, we set the temperature to 60 degrees and could a hear a small fan running but the room only got hotter at night. It was very hard to sleep in a room that was about 78 degrees. - The room felt cheap. I would expect to pay less than $100 for the room we had not $200+. I'm summation, stay at another hotel, even if it's more expensive this hotel is not worth it.

I traveled with a couple friends and stayed here for 4 days. We booked 2 rooms, totalling over $3500 for the weekend. I thought I'd treat myself and book a suite for the first time... it cost around $3000 Canadian Dollars for 4 nights. Now, at this rate and calibre of hotel I would have expected to be somewhat "wowed", but instead I'm left disappointed. The room was dark... It felt like a dungeon even with all of the lights turned on in the middle of the day. I could literally hear conversations happening in the room next door to mine, including the other person's speakerphone at 6am, not to mention people walking though the hallway, including the cleaning staff knocking on every door. Every time the people in the rooms next to me would leave I could hear their doors slam which means I got very little sleep. When I brought this up with the front desk they just shrugged it off. When I asked for a later checkout just so I could get a couple hours of sleep before my flight I was told there'd be an additional charge of $25/hr. The pool was closed with no mention of this on their website. There wasn't any room service whatsoever, and you needed to book having your room cleaned 2 days in advance. I might be a little more understanding had I booked at a low rate, or one of their standard rooms, however if this is how they treat their highest paying guests I will go out of my way to avoid staying at Hilton hotels in the future as this wasn't a great experience.

Horrible Service and staff (Troy). Unfortunately I‘m working during Christmas time and staying here in this hotel. My family wrote an email to the hotel and called them additionally to ask if they could forward a surprise note. They weren’t able to forward the call or leave any kind of note. I didn‘t receive any kind of message. My spouse from abroad ordered food from uber to surprise me (hotel doesn‘t offer anything after 9pm) I didn‘t get any information if it arrived. I went to the lobby at 2am (jetlagged) the employee named ‚Troy‘ didn‘t even greet me. Asked me in a very unfriendly tone what my name is and told me it is not their job to call me if my food arrived. I understand but he had nothing to do in the middle of the night than chatting with his other colleague. Very disrespectful unfriendly treatment of Troy. So unprofessional and disappointing.

From the minute we arrived it was fantastic. We were met at the car by a man(I am sorry I did not get his name) who was very friendly and explained things to us as well as where to park our car. Emily was at the front desk. She greeted us with a smile and was very friendly and polite. She made us feel very welcome and did an excellent job getting us checked in. The room was very nice. the proximity to the event we were here for was very convenient. we will definitely stay here again when we return to Denver

This was a good choice for a downtown stay in Denver. The location is great for city center sporting events. The lobby is very nice. Staff is helpful and friendly at the desks, concierge table, and valet stations. Starbucks in the lobby is convenient and exactly what you are expecting from a Starbucks. The rooms were clean. Housekeeping service was available and reliable when called upon.

The African American property manager Carla at Hilton Denver city center is rude, unprofessional and a liar. We had a 1 night stay at with 2 rooms. 1 of the rooms had a bad bed which ended up in both me and my girlfriend not being able to sleep. I told her staff about the issue early morning . They gave me the resolution that the room will be refunded. But during checkout the manager was not willing to. Just to get me out of there she said call advanced purchase department and they can refund me. After talking to the department, they said the refund can easily be refunded by the hotel. So the department called the hotel to help with the issue. And the manager said no. Hilton as a brand used to exemplify customer service. If you can’t take care of your own, then there are more than enough competitors in the market that are willing to take my business. I will go stay with others more than 30 nights a year.

The hotel is beautiful! It’s so great that they have a Starbucks. The location is even better as it is a couple of blocks from 16th Street. The valet is VERY pricey ($59 per night). It’s a plus that they are pet friendly. It’s so annoying when hotels don’t disclose that their pool is out of order. I booked this hotel for the sole reason that they had a pool only to find out that the pool was out of order. The first time I called the front desk to find out if they had a pool I was told they didn’t have one. I called the next day and they told me they did have a pool, but it was out of order.

Bar Staff was amazing! Maids were amazing. Head of security was amazing. The front desk dropped the ball. Lied to us about upgrades, lied to me about checking on lost items, and lied to us about the “upgrade” we received. Turns out they actually put us in a room 300 sqft smaller then the room we booked and paid for. Waiting on a call from the gm. Not happy as a Diamond member with Hilton of 4 years.

Will definitely stay again. I loved it. The room was nice. I got the suite and it was top notch. It has a great gym and it's only 5 min on foot to 16st mall. All restaurants are close and it has a Starbucks and a restaurant inside. Lots of places to sit while you enter the building. The only down side the hotel has it doesnt have free parking. I believe all guests should have free parking because we are the paying customers and you should not be charging us. Anyways it was a great stay.

They are OK, but there are much better options in the area. Staff is a bit pedantic and not very friendly. Food options are limited and if you are going to pay hotel prices for meals, then you might as well go somewhere else within a block. Location is convenient and good walking distance to a lot of businesses - restaurants, pharmacy, etc. Honestly, given location and hotel affiliation for points, I will stay here again. But I just won't expect much.

I stayed here for 2 nights for a staycation. Our room was beautiful with a lovely view: The ambiance of the suite and bathroom was quite luxurious with a very sensual Western vibe. The lighting was also really nice. There were other employees who were very kind & attentive, plus the Valet attendants were friendly. Would definitely recommend staying at this location!

This hotel is located just a few blocks away from 16th St Mall and very close to lots of different restaurants, bars, shops, and sightseeing areas. Very convenient location. The staff are very friendly. I attended a conference during which refreshments and food was served, and everything was delicious. I only have two complaints: The internet seemed unreliable and I feel the drinks and food at the restaurant are overpriced. Everything else was great.

Great hotel in downtown Denver. Convenient to a few bars and restaurants and reasonably close to the convention center. Rooms are clean and the downstairs bar/ restaurant is affordable with plenty of room. The Starbucks on the ground floor is always backed up so he prepared to wait. That's not the hotel's issue, just an FYI.

  • 4/5 Greg B. 5 months ago on Google
An odd hotel in that everything seems to be on the lower level: the restaurant (which is good), the conference rooms, the bar. There is a Starbucks onsite and some lounge area upstairs but always being on the lower level with little windows is a bit odd. Otherwise it’s a fine hotel, no complaints really: room is fine, was clean. Service was good, you can walk to a bunch of restaurants, but it’s not in the heart of the city. You need to walk a little bit to get to city center.

I reserved a King bedroom and upon checking in I was told I am getting two queen beds due to high occupancy. I was disappointed as there was a price difference when getting a king bedroom over two queen beds (price was higher for king bed). I asked if I would receive a credit given I did not truly get what I paid for, I was told I could accept the room or leave and I would not get a credit. Pretty unsatisfied as I paid and reserved my room and upon arriving I realized I hadn’t truly “reserved” my room, pointless to pre pay for something and not get it. Poor customer service, the attendant acted in a defensive and rude manner instead of trying to address the concern. I’ve stayed here multiple times as I tend to visit the area almost every weekend, and can say I will not be doing so in the future.

Perfect downtown location for my work trip. Only 2 blocks to the office. Full Starbucks in the lobby. Nice modern mountain decor with nice Holiday touches. The downstairs bar is nice, a mix of comfy and modern. Delicious plates from the kitchen for our large group dinner. A banquette with chaise in the bedroom. And a small fridge. Compact and everything needed in one place. Crabtree & Evelyn full size amenities in the bathroom were perfect. I could live here :).

Great hotel, clean, good service in person, valet was awesome. GREAT location. Only complaint and reason for 4 stars… I asked multiple times, through their texting service and calling the front desk directly asking for multiple pillows as the ones in room were not comfy and wanted more, was told 4 times they would send them up no problem over the phone and text but did not get any additional pillows either night if stay. Other than that, good hotel.

This specific location is absolutely fantastic. The bartenders and restaurant food was outstanding. Our room was cleaner then my own bedroom at home. Check in staff were extremely friendly as well. I would stay nowhere else when visiting Denver

Power outage twice in the past two days with no information or notice without calling. Not to mention that their Internet service is horrible and constantly is dropping. This is happening with the training that I'm attending as well leading them to have to go to 4G and I'm having to lean on my hotspot as well. I will never be back to this location! Find elsewhere to stay. Update: Hot water is now out as well starting around 0700 this morning, again only finding out through the training outfit. Just shameful operation on the hotel's part.

No sanitizer or recycling. The conditioner bottle came off the wall & would not open. Windows do not open. No microwave, but there is a mini fridge in the room. The restaurant's Saturday morning breakfast service was very slow & the waitress even told us she forgot about us, so our breakfast was cold & we were late for the keynote speakers address. It was also challenging to get the wifi password bc even though my name was ON the room, it wasn't IN my name. There was a lot of unnecessary attitude from the front desk clerk when I asked about wifi. There were two specific front desk staff members that appeared to be bothered by questions & were rude when they had to answer with more than a yes or no. They were not very hospitable. Housekeeping staff did an excellent job. Room & bathroom were both very clean upon arrival.

No complaints here. Staff were competent and friendly, rooms were comfortable except for the office building just 150 feet outside your window on the rooms numbered in the middle 20s. We didn't try the restaurant because there are so many other options, but the catering for our meetings was very good.

We stayed in July of 2023 for a convention. Front Desk Supervisor, Barbara Torres & Front Desk Agent Adam Lucero were excellent & always friendly & helpful at all times. There were other employees who were very kind & attentive, plus the Valet attendants were friendly. Would definitely recommend staying at this location!

4 star prices for a 2.5 star experience. You can literally lay on the bed and see everything in the bathroom. The only 4 star experience was the bar. It is just not a great value. This is a $180/night room at best. We were charged $375. Plus everything is an extra. For this price, I should get the water bottles, the wifi, and a happy ending to my stay. Instead, we went to breakfast at 7am, and they checked us out of our room. When we came back, we had no access. Just abysmall at best.

This is a nice hotel. We had a corner room. It did seem clean. However, I will say that there was a strange odor throughout the hallway and into our room. There were several damp spots on the carpet in the room as well, so I feel like maybe it had been shampooed and hadn't completely dried? We did enjoy the bar/restaurant in the lobby.

  • 3/5 Michelle P. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent location for any number of events and venues. Lobby and Restaurant were elegant and the Restaurant was incredible - try the blood orange margarita and shrimp tacos! The rooms were just like a standard Marriott room, only in miniature. It was mostly lovely and comfortable, great view, but VERY narrow. Door and room hall just barely large enough for a luggage cart. The bathroom featured a shower that was so narrow, it would be very difficult for one to be able to accomplish a shower If you are larger than 5'10"and about 160 pounds. It made for a good laugh but that's only because we fit in the shower. I would feel very sorry for anyone who doesn't have a very slight build, I think it would be humiliating. They have remodeled, and it's beautiful, however they neglected to change the carpet in the halls and rooms which looked and smelled like it was straight out of the Eighties - I could still smell cigarette smoke everywhere in the hallways/room from decades gone by. Most of the valets were nice, but one was downright hostile. The competence level could be improved. My car was left unattended and unlocked in front of the hotel for most of the evening. I expect more from the Hilton, But we had a great time at the concert we went to and the room was good enough for us. It would have been too crowded had we been more than 2 travelers, though.

I went with a conference. Front desk was not prepared for the amount of check-ins. Check in was at 4pm, many rooms not available but if your room was available, say at 3:30, they made you pay $25 early fee to get it. Slow elevators, one of the escalators in conference center didn't work. Room was nice, modern, and clean. Hotel overall was clean and modern. Location two train lines is great. Close proximity to Union Station, Coors Field and the state capital.

This hotel is disappointing for the price and location. My first impression was of poor service by the valet staff, with the exception of an older gentleman who helped us the morning of check out. The younger staff were seemed very bothered by our presence, barely spoke a word, very far from cheerful. I'm paying 54$ a day for this? The lobby was beautiful, rooms modernly appointed and friendly front desk staff. This hotel allows pets but is NOT pet friendly. I asked where there was an area for my dogs to relieve themselves. they knew of none. There is nothing but cement for blocks! I paid extra for having a pet,, cantvthey provide a small patch of rocks or grass? And don't expect luxurious bath products. I thought shower gel was standard these days? And why do hotels only provide tiny trash cans? Poor housekeeping has to deal with overflow.

Check-in: Person who checked us in could've been more friendly. No questions asked - just rambled to get his speech done and handed over a single room key. Did not even ask if I wanted 2 keys, which I definitely did. There was no hot water on April 18th 2022 from morning. Called the Guest services and all they said is there is an issue and no ETA. Nothing else was provided on the phone to help in any way. Room: Room was decent and had a comfy bed. The walk-in shower is slightly small and could do with a little more cleaning. Overall a decent stay but don't know if I'd stay there again with the same service I experienced.

Nice hotel. Rooms are so comfortable, quiet, dark. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and made sleep so good. There's no pool, bummer. Because it was so hot that it would have been nice for a swim. The location is great. It's very close to a variety of restaurants and coors field. It was a pleasant stay

AMAZING STAFF! Big shoutout to two individuals who made our stay extra special. Karla checked us in and was incredibly kind, welcoming and warm. She was prompt, helped answer questions and had an overall magnet personality. Troy was the night shift front desk who was, again, incredibly kind and welcoming. Anytime we needed help or asked a question he would go out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Very nice and awesome staff member. Room was good! You pay for what you get. It was clean and overall a great experience. Breakfast is great and the Starbucks is a great add for the lobby. Staff at Starbucks were also great. Overall great stay and I’ll come back. The staff (Karla and Troy) sealed the deal for my experience!

Overall nice hotel. Rooms were updated. Front desk and house keeping staff were excellent. The fitness center is way better than most hotels, although it can get crowded in the morning. Starbucks on the ground floor. No pool despite signage in hotel indicating it's on the second floor. Need to pay for parking like everywhere else in downtown Denver.

Very nice clean rooms, but one worker lied about having any rooms left, and I told him I was there just a couple of minutes ago and that you had 9 rooms I believe. Suddenly, he found one available. All was good though. I would stay again. Little pricey for no pool anymore. Great location. Right across the street from Trans America.

I have always been a loyal Hilton Honor member. When my husband went on his business trip, he had the option to choose any hotels. I wanted him to pick Hilton because of my HH membership. I requested the hotel to print the final bill under his name and they told me not to worry and that they will take care of it. However, on the checkout day, they did not accommodate my request. When I asked about the agreed upon request, they said they can't fix it. I reached out to a Hilton support Help Desk and they said they will get it fixed. But when I reached out to the hotel directly, they said the ship has sailed. I don't usually leave bad review, especially not to the brand I strongly feel about. So this is very disappointing to me. I don't want to be embarrassed championing for a brand who ignored such a trivial request. I don't think that's a very customer-centric mindset they have.

A solid stay in Denver. We appreciated the very friendly check-in and good location. The room wasn’t huge but was well-appointed (if not a little bit noisy). Excellent gym and the in-room coffee was delicious. There was a good shower and toiletries. An easy walk into RiNo. Would stay here again for sure.

Stayed for three nights for a wedding in town. Central location to walking and sights. Hotel clean and maintained. Had a city vibe. Restaurant was good for drink and food. Staff friendly. We had an vehicle with ski box so we had to park in lot off property but not far. Wasn’t comfortable with that as Denver has a huge issue with homeless right now and it’s a bit sketchy. I think there is safer parking if regular sized vehicle.

  • 3/5 Andy H. 1 year ago on Google
Ok experience when i stayed for 4 nights in March 2023. They tried to charge me for Valet parking when i actually parked my own vehicle and also tried to charge me for an upgrade when it should have been given free due to my Diamond Status. I declined the upgrade as i really could not be bothered to explain to the check in staff that if there is a one room upgrade available at check in , it should be given to a person with Diamond status. Overall a pleasant stay but these issues should be ironed out

Location: Very good. Valet parking: I saw them working very diligently. Customer service: very good. Please be aware that the price does not include breakfast. The restaurant does not have many options in the menu and the price is a little expensive. You can find many options of different restaurants around the hotel. Please make sure to double check how does the housekeeping work. I was there 4 nights and nobody went to my room. I was "OK" but it looks like too much time without checking soap, toilet paper, garbage, etc.

Great location, decent views. Hotel itself is very nice and the lobby is clean and bright. The rooms are nicely maintained and the beds are comfortable. You will hear the city throughout the night and I was woken up by some people coming in through the hallway at about 3 am. The restaurant is decent and the vibe is nice. The drinks are 65% ice so you don't get much for how much they're charging. $16 a piece for cocktails. I get its downtown but they were nothing fancy. Overall a nice hotel with nice rooms, definitely great front of house staff. Worth a visit if you're in Denver

Great place and location. Staff are also nice and accessible for any issues. Was disappointed that there was not a pool (despite the many google pictures of one) but the attended informed me that on check in. As someone who likes to swim I may have chosen another hotel nearby if I had realized. Also, the elevators were extremely slow and my room’s mini fridge didn’t work well so I had to throw away some food I bought with plans for lunch for the next day.

I have stayed in Hilton Hotels around the world and had unequivocally the worst experience at this location. From minute 1, the women at the front desk were incredibly rude and dismissive. One of the employees cared so little about professionalism that she wore multiple pimple patches all over her face. Second, they charge you for checking in early, even if the room is empty and ready. I have never in my LIFE heard of this occurring in other hotels. They put a “temporary hold” that actually isn’t a hold, it’s a full charge of $400. I had to give my card for my friend’s room as well as they would not let him check in so if that happens to you, prepare to have a charge of $800 that you then need to wait for them to reverse when you check out. The “suites” are very, very small. The only staff members I did not hate interacting with were the restaurant staffers who were very kind, and the food was delicious. Overall though, I will never return to this hotel.
