Overpriced
and
Underwhelming
My
stay
at
the
Westin
DIA
was
notably
disappointing,
failing
to
meet
the
expectations
for
the
high
price
of
$600
per
night.
The
hotel,
while
offering
the
convenience
of
proximity
to
the
airport,
fell
short
in
almost
every
other
aspect.
Promised
an
upgrade
to
a
runway
view
room,
we
instead
found
ourselves
staring
at
the
unremarkable
roof
of
a
parking
garage.
The
situation
was
made
worse
by
the
constant
noise
of
traffic,
which
disrupted
our
sleep
during
a
crucial
long
layover.
Despite
bringing
this
issue
to
the
attention
of
the
hotel
staff,
their
response
was
apathetic,
showing
no
interest
in
addressing
our
disappointment
or
offering
any
form
of
compensation
for
the
inconvenience.
Adding
insult
to
injury
was
the
room
service.
The
food
can
only
be
described
as
horrible,
a
surprising
misstep
for
a
hotel
that
charges
such
a
premium.
This,
coupled
with
the
staff's
indifference,
significantly
detracted
from
our
overall
experience.
The
singular
advantage
of
staying
at
the
Westin
DIA
—
not
having
to
leave
and
return
to
the
airport
—
is
heavily
overshadowed
by
its
shortcomings.
It's
evident
that
the
hotel
leverages
this
convenience
to
justify
overcharging
its
guests,
without
delivering
on
quality
or
service.
In
conclusion,
the
lack
of
compensation
or
even
acknowledgment
of
our
issues
was
the
final
straw
in
an
already
disappointing
stay.
The
Westin
DIA,
with
its
uncomfortable
noise
levels,
poor
food
quality,
and
indifferent
service,
offers
poor
value
for
the
price.
Travelers
would
be
well-advised
to
consider
alternative
accommodations,
even
if
it
means
a
bit
of
extra
travel
to
and
from
the
airport.
