My partner and I stayed at the Patterson this past weekend to celebrate my birthday, and it was the loveliest experience! They left a nice card, chocolates, and a couple free wine vouchers for the tavern for my birthday which was so thoughtful. We were in the Antoinette which was a beautiful clean room with an incredibly comfy bed and lots of preserved and refurbished furniture, plus gorgeous stained glass windows that compliment the sky blue ceiling. We had breakfast both mornings with two different cooks and it was great both times, just be prepared that because this is a small inn with just one person running the kitchen breakfast is limited to two options (one savory one sweet). The building is secured with not one but two doors with a code required for entry, and although the room doors are quite old the lock was secure. The location was great and we were able to walk to all the restaurants and activities we needed to go to. We will definitely be staying again!

Let me start by saying that we were visited by a ghost, so there’s that (more at the end of my review). But other than that, what a gorgeous inn! Absolutely loved this place! The room was beautiful and the entire inn has a really nice feel. The bed was comfy and the sheets were spectacular (I actually called back to get the brand and bought my own got home!) i can’t say enough about the breakfast . Every day, you get your choice of a sweet or savory breakfast. (My boyfriend and I each chose one of each and went splitsys). The food was scrumptious and you could tell that Ricky was a real and experienced chef. The owner and the entire staff seem to have real passion about this place! If you want to know the ghostly encounter, here it is… I couldn’t sleep and woke up at 3:30 in the morning and went to the bathroom. When I came out there was a man in a three piece suit with a mustache in front of me with his arms crossed, looking at me sternly. I jumped back and yelped, and he disappeared. I’m pretty sure that was old man Patterson, and for some reason he was disappointed in me? Lol! who knows, but that’s what I saw!

Staying at the Patterson Inn was a highlight of our weekend trip to Denver. The room was gorgeous. Loved that our room had a private balcony. Great tub! The cook, whose name is sadly eluding me, was one of the best parts! So friendly and very talented.

When I booked, the Inn had only one room available so I couldn't select a room. Each room is identified by a name instead of a room number with the exception of Room 9. Were I to book here again, I would avoid Davinci and Antoinette, which are on the first floor and close to the front door, and Royale, which is literally steps from both the elevator and stairs to the 3rd floor. Breakfast is served in its dining room and each morning you're offered a different, freshly prepared savory (sausage and eggs for instance) or a sweet option (like crepes), and of course coffee and juice. Built in the late 1800s, it has quirks but the accommodations are comfy.

This is such a unique place! Our room was elegant, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious with nice amenities. They gave us special anniversary treats! Breakfast was delicious with fun flavor profiles. The two staff members we had interactions with were gracious and kind! They were also helpful with restaurant and activity suggestions.

Whent to celebrate my partner's birthday. ( We're local.) What a beautiful old gem, that's decorated beautifully! I have never ever slept anywhere so comfortable! If I could stay forever I would! Breakfast was a little bit other than what I expected, but absolutely above my expectations! Staff was very friendly! Well absolutely be back!

TLDR: Beautiful Home, Incredible Service, An Absolute Delight This is a beautifully restored home in the heart of Denver's Cap Hill neighborhood. My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and really enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and locale. The front desk employee is attentive and knowledgeable. The cleaning staff is incredible. The food is divine and the chef is very friendly. BRING TIPS! That was probably my biggest regret coming to the Patterson, not being able to tip! The service is exemplary. We stayed in the Da Vinci suite and it was even more beautiful and comfortable than the pictures portray. We stayed here for a 24 hour period where the high was 0 degrees. Yes, the room was a little chilly but that is to be expected from a stay in an historic home. We were given a space heater and instructed on how to get the heat flowing the best in our room and it was very comfortable! My only gripe is that I wish there was more information about the house itself, what is original, what these rooms were originally used for, information about the family, etc. I worked in the Molly Brown House and would've appreciated more of a chance to slip into the past. Thank you for an incredible visit!

The owner and staff have covered every detail to give you a more than comfortable stay. Quite possibly the most comfortable bed and pillows I have ever slept in!

We had a great time at The Patterson Inn- it was clean and staff was super friendly. We stayed in the Library room which had a “clue” theme complete with candlesticks, dagger, pistol, and a wrench. The owner served as bartender for the quaint speakeasy downstairs, and the breakfast chef was personable and accommodated all of my allergies. Highly recommend this place - would def return. Solid 4+ stars experience

The staff was wonderful, the breakfast part of bed and breakfast was great. The room was unique and romantic. The one tiny thing was that the whole house smelled like breakfast. This place would go from great to stellar with a little fancy fragrance floating throughout. (Note: the flowers in the room were my wedding bouquet, so don’t expect those!)

We stayed at the Patterson when we went to see Qveen Herby at the Ogden. Our accommodations were beautiful, romantic, comfortable, and clean. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The chef was amazing and our breakfast was delicious. We met the owner and he was super cool. He even told us how to get into a secret room in the tower. It was a great experience and I highly recommend the Patterson inn for your stay in Denver. We will definitely make it our hotel of choice. If you like concerts, it is super close to The Fillmore and the Ogden!

Husband and I came to celebrate an August birthday of sister who lived in Denver, and decided to treat ourselves with a stay at this enchanting boutique hotel. Prior to our stay, pleasant staff checked in with us via emails and a phone call to see what they could do to make our stay more memorable. What?!! Chris, the owner was gracious, helpful, and a great storyteller, He even let us set up a special birthday dinner in the side garden! Brian, the manager and bartender of the cool street level bar, was personable and concocted gorgeous cocktails. The Library, where we stayed, was spacious and beautiful ~ and the bathroom huge and full of amenities. Great location, dreamy accommodation, scrumptious breakfast, great owner and staff. We're fans and will return, hopefully, for a longer stay.

Have stayed here multiple times and the Patterson remains our favorite place to stay when weekending in Denver. Staff is wonderful, rooms all unique and comfortable, and the vibe very cool. Highly recommend!

Great older hotel in the Capitol Hill area. Cute rooms, delicious breakfast (included) and a really cool bar for guests in the basement.

Love this Bed and Breakfast! All the staff members were polite, professional, helpful, and very friendly. We stayed in the Da Vince suite. Absolute perfection. The room was tastefully decorated in period furnishings, the bathroom has a large soaker tub combo with great water pressure. The private patio was delightful in the evening. Then there's the bed. All I can say is I slept like a baby. It was like sleeping on a cloud of fluff and warm hugs. I did not want to get out of bed. The bar in the basement was fantastic. The drinks and small bites were scrumptious. And the bartender was just as fabulous. We had a great time. The breakfast was definitely a highlight during our stay. You have your choice of a sweet or savory breakfast. Both equally pleasing to the most discerning of culinary pallets. Great portions as well. Both chefs delivered excellent breakfast. Overall we were blown away by this most pleasant and relaxing B&B. We can't wait to book again. Thank you for the fabulous stay.

We had such a great time at the Patterson! It's an amazing old building with so much cool history and architecture. The staff were all very, very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. The room was clean, breakfast was great, the basement bar was fun and the overall experience was perfect! I highly recommend it!

Very comfortable accommodations, delicious breakfast and proximity to some amazing sights were the highlights of our stay. We were celebrating our anniversary and the inn keeper really went above and beyond to ensure we had a special time. Definitely recommend staying at this cool historic B&B.

I took my 65 yr old mother there because she had seen a show on tv about it. Drove from Oklahoma! We rang the bell because the door was locked, Only to be approached by an employee at the door in a public enemy tshirt and tell us we cannot enter without a reservation. We explained to her that we only wanted to see the lobby. She said no and shut the door. Pretty upset with her but I didn’t want to upset my mother anymore than what she already was. I took her to the Stanley hotel and were treated 100% better! NEVER will stay here and I will tell everyone not to!

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a stay as much as I did my stay at The Patterson Inn. I can't recommend it enough. The room and hotel were vert clean. The breakfast was incredible every morning. And the owner was deticated to excellence .

Very nice inn! We booked with breakfast included, 3 of us loved the yummy food! The services are fabulous too, after the receptionist checked us in, he was on the 2nd story to help us to take luggages up too. The building itself and the rooms matched the description!

So beautiful and rich with history. Breakfast was amazing and the staff even better! If you’re into places with a ghostly history you’ll love it here. It was relaxing and fun! Will definitely stay again for another mini staycation!

My husband and I have stayed here twice and we love it. The location is perfect in the Capitol Hill District. You can walk to museums and restaurants. The wine happy hour is so fun. the rooms are roomy and exquisite. The history of the Inn is entertaining. The custom breakfast is included and always delicious. They always have a gluten free option, which I appreciate. We will be back! The Royale room is fabulous!
