Would often come here for a pint after work in grand canal. Nice pints, nice staff. Bit out of the way if you're in city centre but handy if you want to get away. Nice view of the water. Didn't know it had rooms! But according to Google it does.

We loved staying at The Ferryman. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. The pub itself is amazing, the decor is traditional and steeped in history whilst the atmosphere is brilliant, it gets very busy, you must try the Guinness. There's only one thing extra I wish the Ferryman did, and that is food. I just know like everything else the owners do for its guests, it would be first class. Having said that, there are plenty of eateries around so it's not a problem. We look forward to staying here again and would thoroughly recommend it. 🙂

Nice pub, good crowd creating a good vibe. Drinks are on the expensive side, sort of expect that being across the river from the financial centre. But well run and staff were friendly. Didn't stay there.

Stopped for a drink after touring the EPIC. Friendly staff, great service and the bar is one-of-a-kind. It opened in 1780, according to the bartender. It’s filled with mementos that makes it the quintessential Irish pub. And their house gin is the excellent Copeland Gin from Ireland.

Visit = pub only, not related to the hotel Location = solid That's it. I came here per recommendation of locals and I shoulda just went elsewhere since the service here was horrible and the staff had no manners. I knew it would be a bit challenging since the crowd was chaotic here but the bartender ignored me a bit even though I was waiting there for about 20 min for a drink and finally when the bartender got to me, the straight up asked me "what do you want (insert discriminatory p-word here)?" I was like whoaaaaaaa, that's a bit off and told her my name is Adam, please call me that. She replied with "whatever (insert discriminatory p-word here)" and just walked away at that point. I just left the pub at that point and took a look at the clientele, all white so I was not surprised. I thought Ireland was friendly and I had a great time there but this pub was part of a handful of places that had given me some problems that seemed triggered simply due to my skin color. Either way, not coming back and advise those who are minorities to avoid coming here. If you look like a local and are closeby, this seems like a great spot to enjoy a pint or two but alas, I was not given such a warm welcome here.

There for a few pints and a great spot for it. Great crowd and great pints. Had some real good Guiness.

Rooms have recently been renovated to a very high standard. Atmosphere in the bar is fantastic as is the Guinness, one of the finest pints you’ll find in Dublin. Staff are really friendly and even when it’s at its busiest service is quick and efficient. Some really quirky artefacts to be found around the three bars. Downstairs bar has an amazing vibe in the evenings and upstairs bar wonderful views over the Liffey.

Perfect bar. Perfect meet spot. I can't name it a date or hangout or quiet or beautiful but you can make here suit whatever occasion. It's that bar that you just go to alone to have a pint and watch the match. Or you have that old friend coming in and you don't want anything fancy. Loud enough but also quiet 😆. At this point, I'm even confused about my review. Ermm, visit and let me know your own thoughts. ✌🏾

The pub is fantastic, great atmosphere. The staff were great, especially behind the bar. I'm giving 2 stars for the accommodation. The room was nice, but there was no hot water for 3 days, so no showers. We reached out to numerous people for help, but they did not fix it. Pretty upsetting after the large amount we paid to stay there. For that, I wouldn't recommend.

Really loved our stay here. No breakfast, but it's not an issue with so much available in the area. The views from the room are really lovely. Beds are incredibly comfy. Room and bathroom were spotless. The pub is really lively with like music on the weekends.

The Ferryman is one of my absolutely favorite pubs. And is an authentic Irish pub experience. I don't know why but I can't not order a Jamie Ginger which is a shot of Jameson topped of with Ginger Ale and a slice of lemon. Pro tip split one ginger ale across two drinks and add some water to fill up the glass. This place has ample seating inside and outside. They have group seating downstairs and they open the bar downstairs if there are enough people. You'll never see this iconic bar empty. It's positioned right behind bord gais theater and the entrance overlooks the Samuel Beckett bridge and the Liffey river.

Lively traditional Irish pub overlooking the river Liffey. Staff are friendly and bar service is efficient although at busy times it can take a few minutes of queueing to get served. The decor and atmosphere are traditional and friendly. A great pint of Guinness. Its a great spot for a drink before and after a show in the nearby Bord Gais Theatre or even the 3 Arena.

The only pub in the area open after midnight, which is an instant 5 star rating. Typical Irish pub with a lot of drunk people, yet everyone is friendly and I’ve never had any bad experience there. Baby guiness by the river will always be in my memory

It is a great place to go for a beer. It is located close to Samuel Beckett's bridge. The environment is great, with that old pub vibe. Good choice of beers and cocktails. It you are in the area it is worth going there.

Great pub with great pints of Guinness. Usually busy but they always seem to have many bar workers. Don't let outside drinkers deter you, there are usually tables open, especially downstairs

Lovely pub. Efficient friendly service. Great pints. Covid certs checked... Distancing at seats ensured. The guy at the door (a manager or owner I would think) was amazing. So friendly and helpful in a difficult situation (restricting access, checking certs) and picking up glasses, getting ice for the bar etc... Very impressed! Will be back. Might even stay the next time!

Well this is just the mostly lovely pub! Full of paraphernalia and old photographs which is just lovely. Lovely view over the Liffey. Lots of little nooks and crannies too which add to its quaintness. Toilets downstairs so not sure it’s totally accessible for everyone. It gets busy when there are matches on and when there’s shows on in the Bord Gáis. Well worth a visit. Pint of Guinness was €6.00.

This is a huge boozer in a great location with a good selection of beers on tap. The staff were fast and attentive for such a full pub on Wednesday. I would recommend it for a nice pint just outside of the direct city centre.

A cozy Irish pub, right outside the corporate hub on the dock. Few tables outside in open and a 10-12 tables inside... 5-7 options on the tap. Overall a nice pub to have few drinks on the way back to hotel from work. You won't get a seat post 5, all standing

The reception from staff was wonderful - we felt very welcome and at home right away. The room was clean and the gentleman doing the housekeeping was efficient and attentive. The room was well insulated - neither too hot nor too cold. On the Friday night, we couldn't even hear the revelry of the pub-goers below! We could hear the music pumping from the bar on the Saturday night but that is expected from a hotel room over a pub, so we did not mind. My only tiny complaint is that while there was body wash and soap available, there was no shampoo or conditioner. Even a little vial of shampoo alone would have improved things greatly! The hotel is pretty central and cost effective. I will stay here again but next time I shall bring shampoo!

Very nice spot for young professionals. Pretty traditional interior decor which gives the place a nice atmosphere amongst a load of glass blocks in the area. Good service too.

Pros - Fantastic pint of Guinness, good selection of drinks, authentically Irish, great vibe, hilarious conversations overheard and good, decent crowd. Cons - Being a real mixture of Dublin locals, people living nearby and tourists, and being a naturally busy spot, it can mean that sometimes it's hard to get served as the bar staff are sometimes more intersted in chatting with the Dublin locals. This is nit-picking though. 9/10 times you'll really enjoy your night here.
