Be aware! It is a scam-hotel! We booked a deluxe room. We didn't know at this time that the room is located in the first floor heading to the back yard. The backyard belongs to the Pub. Loud music and shouting people disturb you that you can't even think about sleeping. The entire room was vibrating. We asked for another room. But they where full. So we asked for a refund to find a different hotel. But the owner just want to gain money. He says: "there is a bar opened till 2:30am", and you can also read it in the description. He doesn't even care about my pregnant girlfriend who needed to rest. They frauded on us. No willing to find a solution. Long story short. Don't waste you money and book another hotel. Worst hotel I have ever booked before.

NO PARKING AT ALL. Extremely expensive for what you're getting per night, TV is small, didn't work until I fixed it myself and only has 4 channels, the passage through the doorway doesn't have enough space to even spread your arms out, there is no space next to the bedside, if you stay make sure to ask for a room at the far end of the hotel or you won't get any sleep because the pub is literally in the same venue, so brace yourself, the nicest part of staying there were the people at reception, the rest of it was an absolute mess, I'd pay maybe ÂŁ40-50 a night but no more than that, there are old scuff marks on the walls, the place needs to be repainted. I would not recommend staying here. It's more of a hostel than a hotel. Definitely not worth the money

This is honestly the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.I don't know how they haven't been shut down because it is a complete scam of a place. A 1star hostel would be better than this place. The rooms are claustrophobic and the noise made it impossible to sleep. They also charge a 100 euro deposit. When you go to get your deposit back at the end they go inspect your room. They took 50 euro out of my deposit for having tan on the bedsheets. Which is honestly so ridiculous I had to laugh, they said it would not wash out. Which was a complete lie tan always comes out of bed sheets. So I overall paid 160 euro to stay here because I had tan on the bed sheets! Absolute scam.

Absolutely horrid hotel. The only saving grace is the people who work there are kinda nice. The location is awful. Drug addicts and homeless people hang out outside the doors and on the streets in the vicinity. What’s worse is there’s a nightclub right below that is open every night of the week until idk how early in the morning. We did not get a single night of peaceful sleep in five nights. The doors to the club were right below our window so all night we had the smell of cigarettes and drunk people yelling outside our window. Two of the nights there were people physically fighting outside our window and using racial slurs. The accompanying video was taken at 3 or 4am on a Tuesday night. Horrible place to stay. We made sure to be in the room before dark, as you wouldn’t want to be caught out in the area after dark. Can’t even say the price makes it worth it, it was wildly expensive for how awful it was. The hotel keeps getting this review deleted! This is a real experience google, I wish it wasn’t, but it was!

Have stayed here before and loved it- it's an old quirky, slightly wonky building, in a fantastic location in center of the city, with Live music in the cellar bar, and a Humongous beer garden ( 3 Pubs converge at the rear!). However.... The worn grubby carpets, really lumpy mattress, dark, dingy and very badly decorated rooms (paint is Cheap, people- use some!!)) and TV with only 1 clear Channel....we won't be going back. Summary then- fab location, nasty rooms, so book it as a Hostel, don't expect Hotel, and you can have a great base to explore and enjoy Dublin fromđź‘Ť

Old and degraded hotel, expensive for what it offers. A room for 1 night for 2 persons was 189€ (in august). Cleanliness was not the most remarkable thing... the entrance of the hotel is barely visible when you walk by the street, it seemed an old closed pub. It was also located next to a pub and music and people talking were loud until 2-3 in the morning. Not recommended.

Booked a quadruple room, which actually turned out to be three singles and a double, it was supposed to be for three of us but one person cancelled. Service was mediocre as we booked in. The room was on the top floor at the front of Parnell st. Got the key, walked the few flights, no lift, into the room to an absolute unholy smell of cat urine or extremely bad damp. Checked the beds they where fine and clean we reckoned it was the carpet. It was a very basic room. Windows where open so we hoped that it would be gone by the time we got back which was about 1am. It wasn't. It was so bad but we where too tired to do anything at that time of the night. We frequent the nightclub below so knew what we where dealing with, which was it closing at about 2.30am. Then couple hours after that you have allllll the lovely noises of Dublin City. In particular the changing of lots and lots of kegs, roadsweepers sirens, shouting etc, etc. The windows may aswell have been made of paper they were cheap and just bad quality. Wouldnt take much to sort out these couple of issues.

At first glance it seems like a good enough, cheap hotel for 1 or 2 nights. Then you realise everything is not what it seems. The floor boards crack under each and every step which you and your neighbours can hear, the shower doesn't have any power behind the flow, the faucet leaks a bit, the entire bathroom is not level (not even close). The only thing that was good was the bed. But if you think that this means you can actually sleep, you haven't been paying attention. There is this 24/7 electrical noise of something irregularly turning off and on. Even when drunk it'll keep you up at night. Moreover since the walls are very thin you get woken up by everybody who comes home. Wi-Fi was actually pretty good.

Worst hotel in my entire life. The floor inside the room had a small incline which was reminiscent of a thriller movie. Noise from near clubs made it impossible before 2 p.m. Honestly, how do they still manage to maintain it open?! Probably the place would be more appropriate for a pub.. On the pros, it was near the city centre

Booked this hotel for my wife and daughter for the weekend. Unfortunately flights were grounded and no further flights until late the following day. Reached out to hotel to try and get at least some of our money back, (I was aware it was a none- refundable booking). So just be aware they will not do the right thing even if the cancellation wasn't your fault. Poor customer relations in my opinion

I'm not very fussy about hotels, for the limited amount of time I spend in them, I don't go for five star places. The room that I got was perfectly adequate for me, I had what I needed, a bed and a bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was very roomy. Free wi-fi although I didn't use it. My only problem was the heat. The room was very warm, I had a fan and windows open while in the room, there were no heating controls in the room and the radiators seemed to be off. On the whole I didn't find this to be a major issue. For other people who may be considering this place; it is upstairs from a rock bar, music and people outside is fairly loud until the early hours. That didn't bother me as I was out until the early hours anyway. If you're a light or early sleeper you may want to consider alternative accommodation. I would stay here again, I was wary about my stay as reviews on the internet are fairly poor but in my experience the room was clean enough for my liking and certainly comfortable enough. The rooms are not serviced daily but you are told at the time of checking in that should you require anything to let reception know. This was fine by me as I was only staying for three nights. For a central location and the transport nearby it is a handy place to stay. There is no food available on site but there are plenty of options nearby for food. In all, pleasant enough stay and far from the worst hotel experience I've had in Dublin.

If I could put 0/5, I would. Long story short, I entered the hotel with: a women having a cigarette bud in her hand, old carpet that doesn’t seem clean and a location above a pub/club. The receptionist asked me to pay for my stay, I asked to see at least the room before doing so and what a surprise: small and gloomy bedroom that looks nothing like the photos and body hair all over the bathroom. The receptionist insisted that the room was clean and pretended not to see the dirt. Back at the reception, I asked for my luggage back which she sort of threw at me under the counter. This hotel isn’t suited for professional trips nor personal ones. Absolutely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone…

The hotel is situated above a nightclub that doesn’t close until 3am so loud music is blaring until then. The hotel was unkempt and the hotel room was dirty. I found someone’s gum on the sink in the bathroom and other filth throughout the room. The bed was fine and the staff was nice but otherwise I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Location was great. However situated above a nightclub was a major downside. The noise at closing time was awful, we had to listen to people shouting and fighting. That would stop then the traffic would start. If you don't mind being constantly woken up from 3am then ideal for you. The pictures on booking.com were not a reflection of what we saw in reality. The place was old and falling to bits. The staff were friendly enough and I can't complain in that respect. However not being local they were unknowledgable in the surrounding area.

All hotel prices are quite expensive in Dublin during busy periods. This hotel is one of the cheapest and despite some of the reviews is pretty decent! Staff are friendly and although it is above a nightclub it wasn’t too noisy for us, but we were on the third floor. Overall enjoyed my stay.

Very noisy room. Music playing loudly in bar below. Not a place to go if you want a nights sleep. I would not recommend this Hotel. Staff were nice, but there are no facilities and the noise is a disaster. I asked to move but no otehr rooms available.

I would have put 0 star if I could. This is one step up / if that from a hostel with full hotel high prices. I wouldn’t even stay in the room based on the grubby hallway and noise level alone. Plus I was asked for a 50 euro cash deposit!once I arrived , which I have NEVER been asked for, especially in a place like this. This was definitely a moment of What was I thinking not checking reviews. I had to do it in a hurry Don’t stay there ! !!!

Considering the type of hotel, it was good enough. The rooms are comfortable and clean enough. They are not new and the whole building is quite old. The position is perfect, very close to the centre and close to many good pubs and restaurants. Recommended, I would go back here.

I was in a few bad/cheap hotels in my life but this one is by fare the worst one! Sorry! - the room was not clean (hair in the shower, used towels, ...) - there was a strong smell in the room, a mix from old cigarette smoke and something rotten - the whole hotel and room have a flair of a love hotel (hour hotel) - if you know what i mean ... also the other persons we saw in the aisle at night would fit in this flair. - the carpeted floor in the room was also very stinky - we where afraid of touching it

This is a very bad hotel, I'm not one for putting other people's businesses down but this place is just a junkie hostel. They have a ginger guy called John staying there and he was just a handful, begging for money and clothes while the secretary sat there and said nothing. This is a dangerous place and I would not recommend anyone to stay here, service was bad, reception was not helpful as me and my partner complained numerous amount of times and not one thing was done. There was even guys smoking joints in front of the reception, like how bad can it get?

Good hotel, the service is very good. Even though we had a quiproquo. Rooms are nice but not the best. Also it's very noisy But its with it because the best part of that hotel is its location.

Not bad for a one star hotel. The room I had was big with 2 king size beds and it was well equipped. The beds were comfy. However, there was no hot water, so I had to take a cold a shower, and the room wasn't super clean but okay. Good service.

  • 1/5 Dan 2 years ago on Google
Cheap room. But get what you pay for. WiFi wouldn't reach to the room. The shower was a waste of time, had to wait 5 mins to get hot water, even then it was barely dribbling out of the shower head, that makes it a must avoid hotel. Friendly lady on reception was the only positive

A wonderful hotel and equally wonderful hotel staff. Clean and large rooms, comfortable beds, affordable prices. For short trips this is the ideal hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of Dublin.

  • 1/5 Patrick N M. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is very basic and not worth the money spent when you take in consideration the shower took 10 minutes of running water to become warm. The room we had was next to a bar that played load music until 3am. So load the floor was vibrating from the base. Won’t be going back again. More of a place to stay if you’re a night owl.

For what it's worth it's a good hotel option, I've seen some complaints on here about the noise something i luckily didn't get any of as I was in the top floor away from the main street. My travel companions weren't as lucky and woke up several times. The beds were what you expect from a hotel, the staircase leading up to the 2nd and 3rd floor feels like it's about to cave in while walking up it, you sort of walk at an angle up. Nonetheless the stay was pretty good.

  • 2/5 Desire Z. 1 year ago on Google
We got the room next to the night club (111). It was incredible loud until 3am. They gave earplugs during check-in. But it doesn't help much. The window cannot be opened. There is no mini fridge. A closet would have been nice, we had to put the clothes on the sofa. And they saved even the toilet brush (and the room service either didn't see they resulting problem or refused to clean...) On one evening we had to wait 5 minutes outside in the rain to be let in. So all in all a rather mediocre stay for an incredible expensive price. Look elsewhere, if you are not intrigued by the only good point of the hotel: It's really well located.

  • 3/5 ERIC K. 2 years ago on Google
Lovely people for sure. Room 308 is janky, toilet broke and they couldn't fix it. Moved us to 303 and it was like a different hotel altogether. Look at the room before accepting it.

  • 3/5 Donna W. 1 year ago on Google
There are a load of negative reviews of this place but not sure why. One of the big issues people seem to have is the noise, but personally that didn't bother me. The hotel is in the centre of a city and above a nightclub so if music bothers you then I wouldn't book here. Our room was fine, basic but did the job. It needs a bit of TLC though, ie the carpet was scruffy and stained. The staff were lovely and reception is staffed 24 hours a day. The hotel is pricey though considering it's classed as a 1* hotel. Hotel was in a great place for us as it was central.

  • 1/5 Jamil A. 2 years ago on Google
THIS PLACE MUST BE AVOIDED BY ALL MEANS. Most public pictures are misleading its a dodgy rundown building block that neighbors pretty audible bars and clubs. Rooms smell, stains all over the wall structure, windowns unwashed, uninsulated.

  • 2/5 Jake O. 2 years ago on Google
It's an okay hotel if you're looking for somewhere cheap and convenient. However, it's definitely not the cleanest place, with the rugs being worn and the bedrooms having an unclean feel to them. Overall, though, their prices are fair enough, but they could lower them to get more custom.

  • 1/5 Νικολέτα ďż˝. 2 years ago on Google
Don't go with the impression that it is a hotel, it is a cheap hostel. There was a strong smell of cigarette in the room, the curtains had holes probably from cigarettes, the carpet was dirty and burnt. Last but not least, there was permanently a noise plus the music from the nearby Bar. The connection to wifi was poor. However I will give a star for the location.

  • 1/5 M 2 years ago on Google
The room itself was filthy, with the shower being FULL of someone else’s hair all over the walls, crumbs all over the carpet floor and chipped paper thin walls. The room does not get cleaned during your stay so we had to live in the pre existing filth for a week. The hotel is RIGHT next to this very loud bar that stays open till 3am playing music at full volume, so if you want to sleep before 3am that will definitely not happen. The staff was decent but this one bald guy was super rude, probably wanting to grasp at any sense of power over us, wouldn’t let us in even after we answered his questions TWICE about which room we stayed in. The guy literally pulled up the copies of our passports just to see if they matched to us. It is a one star hotel, not a high security prison my dude.
