Our family's stay at Kilronan House was so enjoyable. The location is great- steps from the Harcourt tram stop and a very easy walk to St. Stephen's Green and all of central Dublin south of the Liffey, but on a quiet street. Our room was warm and comfortably appointed. The staff was very accommodating, and great with our children (10 and 7). The breakfast service was wonderful- delicious and hearty, and served in a lovely room. Only caveat for those with mobility issues is that it's a walk-up, with no guest rooms on the ground floor. But for us, it was an excellent home base for exploring Dublin!

Great stay at this hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly, nothing is too much. The included breakfast is a la cart and great food to start the day. We even got a delicious Irish coffee from the house. Would definitely recommend!

Love this place. Good location, cozy feel inside with nice amenities: clean, comfy bed, nice shower. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast w/variety of choices. Highly recommended and if we ever return to Dublin this will be our place.

Wow! A really cool little hotel where the staff are friendly and very helpful. From start to finish they took care of us and made us feel right at home. They provide a fantast 5 star breakfast tight to your table. Prices are a plus, they don't bleed you dry as other hotels do. Highly recommended if you are staying in Dublin.

We (a total of 7 in 3 rooms) stayed at Kilronan House for 3 nights in mid May and I cannot say enough good things about the staff and the place itself. Very comfortable, warm and inviting atmosphere, fantastic location, the best of Irish breakfasts every morning. The standout though was the staff, Romi (sp.) in particular. He treated the place like it was his own and could not have made my family and I feel more invited. From checking us in, to bringing our bags to the rooms, to storing our bags, making tea and coffee for us after an exhausting trip from the US, organizing taxis, providing directions, etc., etc. and just being an absolute gentleman. The staff were outstanding and I am looking forward to our next stay at the Kilronan.

Perfectly located, immaculately clean, and simply charming historic guest house; all superlatives apply, but most should go to the hospitality extended by the attentive staff, especially the manager, Vio Caba. We started with 3 days in Dublin on our Irish trek, then traveled the Wild Atlantic Way for almost two weeks, and gratefully returned to this lovely boutique accommodation for our final night in Dublin. I found this place because of its location to the National Concert Hall (just around the corner), and I quickly booked it after reading the reviews. We prefer to stay in places that feel like that have a soul, not generic hotels. Kilronan House's unique and perfectly updated rooms retained historic charm with smartly incorporated modern conveniences, cleverly named for Irish authors/history. This was our second-most favorite place to stay in Ireland (only second because we also stayed at the amazing Ballynahinch Castle Hotel). Perfectly comfy bedding provided us rest to start each day after a sumptuous breakfast in the lovely dining room. Vio's assistance with taxi's, directions, and any other need was greatly appreciated. This place deserves all the good reviews they enjoy. Thanks for welcoming us to Ireland--we will return.

After a week in a tiny, 3-story cottage in England - bruises to show for it! - Kilronan House was a luxury! We arrived off-hours and Ramazan was so friendly and helpful getting us situated. My wife and I were in the Oscar Wilde room and my daughters were in the Garden room. The rooms were spacious (for Europe), well-appointed, with modern, clean bathrooms. We loved KH and only wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was yummy and all the staff were helpful and friendly throughout. We were even treated to Irish coffees one afternoon. Thanks KH, hope to be back soon.

Wonderful stay at Kilronan! We loved the historic nature of the Kilronan House and the central location- easy walk to St Stephens Park, museums, the Pearse train station and theTemple Bar area. Clean, updated bathrooms and comfortable beds. The customer service exceeded our expectations- the wonderful front desk gentleman (Ramazon), unsolicited, carried my suitcase up the 3 floors which was a huge help after a very long travel day. The breakfast was awesome and had many options, including a full Irish breakfast! We will def stay here again when in Dublin.

Great place to stay a short walk from the city center. Small room (took the budget option) but clean and charming. Nice cozy building that give a feel of history. The staff is great. I liked the breakfast, good menu to prepare you for the day. Overall a nice choice.

Can only think of positives to our stay here. The Manager and his staff were helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and had a big comfortable bed and had all the facilities of a good hotel. The location was ideal; situated near the St Stephen’s Green area and within walking distance of Temple Bar. The breakfast had many options and was cooked fresh and presented beautifully. We would definitely stay there again and would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends. Thank you everyone for making our stay enjoyable.

A very cozy and nice place where to stay in south Dublin. Georgean style building very well preserved in a very quiet, but yet central location. You can easily park your car in the street outside the Hotel. The rooms , very stylish and traditional are a bit on the tiny size but the breakfast room is wonderful. Full Irish breakfast is recommended

This is a terrific hotel!!! The staff is amazing!!! The location (near the park and the Georgian part of Dublin) is EXCELLENT! So walkable!!! The room was very comfortable but we got the junior suite and it was SMALL, even by European standards. However, the helpful staff and location definitely made up for the small room. Would stay here again.

Positives: Friendly service and welcome, recently refurbished hotel room and bathroom. Negatives: As a lone traveller I booked a single room but was amazed to see just how small it was. Reminded me of a recent stay in Tokyo. Convinced the single bed was not full length as at 6'2" tall my feet were hanging off the end of the bed. Room very very warm also. Shower very small and not helped by presence of large shelf in corner of cubicle (why is it even there when you have wall mounted soap/shampoo dispensers?) Due to time constraints I didn't have breakfast, so can't comment on that, however it did smell fantastic !

We loved our stay at Kilronan House! The bed was comfortable, shower was amazing, and staff was friendly. The breakfast was delicious as well. The pancakes were our favorite! Definitely recommend this accommodation during your Dublin stay.

We stayed at Kilronan in September 2022. This was our fifth time...we love staying here. We always receive a warm welcome and a comfortable room that is spotlessly clean. The breakfasts are wonderful. Staff are helpful and friendly. We don't rent a car when we visit Dublin and find Kilronan in the perfect location for us to walk to tour, shop, or just relax in St Stephen's Green with a book and a coffee or gelato. Highly recommend.

I live right next door to this place and they have been doing renovations since the start of the year. It is now June, every day there is horrific noise right on the other side of my wall. They have never given us notice, have never apologized or tried to compensate us in any way for the disturbances they have caused. When asking when the works would be finished, I have been lied to repeatedly. Extremely unfriendly people and clearly no considerations for anyone else. I have friends and family visiting from abroad a couple of times a year and rest assured this is the last place I will be recommending to anyone.

Don’t be put off by the tired reception area…the bedrooms are extremely clean and comfortable. Super hot shower. Lovely fresh towels. Staff are absolutely great. Breakfast scrumptious. A real gem. Looking forward to visiting again.

Great place. Street was busy but our room was quiet, and comfortable. Newly furnished bathroom, large clean shower. Breakfast was excellent .. a good menu to pick from, eggs to pancakes as well as fruit and simpler items. Staff was helpful and really friendly. A short walk to St Stephen’s Green, and the shops and food in that area ... great for getting around.

Absolutely fantastic. Staff are super helpful and the place has recently been refurbished. It's a great spot that is a short walk into town and easy transport, certainly if you want to stay away from the middle of town. Highly recommend and we'll definitely stay here again! Book directly from their site to to help them with fees paid to engines.

I had the misfortune of needing to be in Dublin on a rugby weekend after St Patrick's Day, meaning all accommodation was eye-wateringly expensive. Although this inflation applied to all premises on the night I stayed, I nonetheless have to review the establishment in relation to how much it cost even if I paid an above-average price. Basically, it was fine. The proprietor was friendly and carried my luggage up to my room on the top floor, plus offered a late check-out of 12pm. The room itself was clearly newly-refurbished and comfortable, although tiny (fine for single occupancy for one night; I wouldn't want to be there for much longer with two people), and the bathroom was similarly compact but clean (though the Saniflo system a tad erratic and alarmingly noisy when it spontaneously came into action). The bed and linens were good quality. On the downside, however, there was no way to cool the room down aside from opening the window and the street noise - and noise of building work, of which much is happening in the area - was noticeable even with it closed. The arrangement for making hot drinks was also odd, necessitating taking the kettle across the room to a plug socket, boiling the water (and supervising it as it did not appear to have an automatic off switch), then unplugging it and carrying it back to the tea station full of hot water. A cordless version would have been much better and safer. Bigger cups would also be nice. The biggest problem with this place is not really its own fault, but somewhere in the vicinity of my room was what I assume was a broken burglar alarm that erratically but consistently dispensed nerve-ruining noises every 10-30 seconds from 5am onwards, rendering sleep impossible. I cannot comment on the breakfast provision, therefore, as I missed it in my refusal to admit defeat on the attempt to gain some precious zzzs (I will admit my failure to get more sleep prior to this occurrence was my own fault for getting in very late the night before, but nonetheless it was tantamount to some kind of insanity-inducing sleep torture). In sum: if it does not cost you over 200 EUR to stay the night and there are no alarming noises happening in proximity, this is a pleasant and comfortable place to stay so long as you are happy with not having very much space. If you had luggage you'd probably need to put it on the landing.

Absolutely superb guesthouse with so much comfort and character. We were delighted to stay. The staff was outstanding, so kind and warm. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will absolutely stay there again and hopefully for a longer period when we return to Dublin. Our many thanks to everyone at Kilronan House. Harriet
