Nice
location,
close
to
the
centre
of
Fontainebleau,
private
parking
(that
costs
10eur
per
night),
and
a
nice
garden.
Free
use
of
bikes,
but
they're
all
a
bit
old
an
tatty.
My
room
was
up
on
the
third
floor,
there's
no
lift
and
I
had
a
few
bags
to
take
up
but
no-one
offered
any
help.
I
speak
some
French,
but
not
fluently,
and
no-one
spoke
to
me
in
English.
The
breakfast
was
simple,
but
very
expensive
for
what
was
offered.
In
ten
nights,
and
I
only
bothered
twice,
as
it
was
easier
and
a
lot
cheaper
to
buy
some
supplies
from
the
small
supermarket
close
by.
No
mini-bar,
and
the
room
was
scorching
hot
up
in
the
eaves
without
the
air-con
on,
but
that
made
a
huge
grating
noise
every
ten
minutes
if
you
left
it
on,
so
useless
at
night.
Bathroom
was
very
clean
and
the
shower
was
great,
but
the
toilet
had
a
weak
flush.
There
was
a
comfortable
arm
chair
in
the
room,
but
another
metal
chair
with
a
leg
about
to
break
that
was
unusable.
Curtains
where
shabby,
and
didn't
block
out
street
lights.
There
was
a
cigarette
burn
in
the
carpet,
and
I'm
pretty
sure
I
could
smell
smoke,
when
I
first
went
in,
despite
asking
for
a
non-smoking
room.
I
left
the
do
no
disturb
sign
on
the
door,
and
the
was
left
alone,
but
the
days
when
I
thought
the
room
would
be
cleaned,
it
wasn't.
When
I
went
to
pay
for
my
two
breakfasts
and
parking
having
pre-paid
my
full
ten
nights,
I
noticed
that
the
desk
clerk
had
put
in
1180
eur,
instead
of
118
eur,
and
it
wasn't
until
I
handed
back
the
credit
card
reader
that
it
was
noticed.
I
won't
make
any
accusations,
I'm
sure
that
was
just
a
mistake.
