I like the old architecture in Penang, they are all well maintained and one of them is this hotel. This hotel reminds me of old chinese films from the 1980's. The interior is very pretty, the owner really takes care of it well. Though it is an old building, the toilet is very clean and quite modern. You also can use the bicycles they have to go around the town. Such a memorable stay

now i at this hotel,a very comfortable hotel for singles or couples. Quite a lonely place, but very suitable for some fun-loving guests. comfortable rooms and washing facilities are also available. Do not forget to book a bike for free when using the hotel.

First of all, the architecture was preserved (the main structure) so it feels living inside of heritage places. They added some modern facilities such aircon, bath and etc. But this is just normal as it simply the necessity for a place to stay, the things that I amazed of is the puzzle on how to get your keys and room without receptionist, its like playing a treasure hunt at first. I like that part because it felt like you are indianna Johnson for short while.

Self check in, reasonably priced accommodation for a couple. Very clean room and good facilities. They even have a washing machine that's free, just provide your own powder. We stayed in the bunk bed room to save on money, but the bed frame was extremely loud with even the slightest of movement. Neither me or my partner had a great night's sleep because of it, saying that both bunks were very comfortable. The location is slap bang in the center of George Town, a five minute walk to most coffee shops, street food or scooter rentals.

5 stars for hostel in budget category! Very clean and calm place. The lady at reception is super nice and friendly, I like her a lot. Shared bathroom & shower, but comfortable and super clean. Wooden floor and other authentic staff makes me feel peacefully. Very big plus - free bicycles, helps to discover city. Another big plus - washing machine for 2 MYR only :) there are also some working/reading place. Free WiFi, not very fast, but ok. Recommended!!!

Really nice and friendly hostel. The place is strategically located near to tourist spots, all within walking distance. They also provide water dispenser and washing machine, free to use!

You need to go through a restaurant area to access the inner homestay area. Has a vintage look, but in general it's quite dusty & walls are too thin so we heard conversations even from downstairs easily. Staff is friendly though, tried her best to make sure we have what we need. Overall very cheap price, aircond is very good & beds are comfortable.

Place is very hard to find. Old school style. The floor gets very hot during the afternoon. The aircon doesn't feel at all. The bathroom is shared. Little privacy. Not recommended.

Come here if you don‘t plan to get good sleep - the beds make horribly squeaking noises with every tiny movement you make.

Nice and affordable place to stay, room complete with Aircond and there is nice penang Laksa restaurant downstairs some more, it’s just a walk distance away from the popular street art. Will book again.

I'm rating 5 stars for the honesty of the owner. I booked 2 quadruple rooms for 3 nights. But the bed was squeaking a lot and we couldn't sleep. We requested to refund the remaining 2 days worth of booking and the owner went overboard to do it and made a refund immediately. I really appreciate the gesture. I sincerely request the hotel to change the bed because otherwise this is a great place to stay. The rooms are also somewhat small. I also remember other people's reviews saying that the beds were really squeaky so this is a genuine issue. Once again thanks for your honesty.

We went there for lunch. Staff was great and delicious food ( fresh and full of flavour)
