This place is very recommended although it's odd for us to find out that the lobby is separated from the hotel. You can find the lobby at lebuh noordin but the hotel sits in front of GAMA. If you happen to stay at Magazine Vista Hotel, you should phone the receptionist first and then they will come to the hotel and serve you. Magazine Vista Hotel is part of PHC (Penang Hotel Collection).

We enjoyed our stay in the 2 bedrooms (master + room with 2 twins bedroom + a sofa bed) apartment hotel. The hotel is very new, cozy and good size living room. I highly recommend it for anyone. The only downside is the master bedroom is near the busy street. As a result, you could hear the busy street from the bedroom.

Room 239 is a suite like a mini home with all the facilities. Economical and would recommend for a family of 5 or 6.

Rooms were spacious, clean and strategically located. Only thing was the sound proofing in the master bedroom could be improved as could hear the traffic below at night.

I give it a 4.8 rating. We were skeptical about the hotel knowing it's something like shophouses but to our surprise it is well furnished and clean and comfortable that made us felt at home. The staff who attended to us when we arrived was friendly... thanks.

I just had a very bad experience with agoda. Booked Magazine Vista Hotel, Penang Hotel today. Wonderful write ups with all the bla bla bla. When I reached, I was shocked that there was no parking allocation for hotel guests. When I called, they had the gut to tell me that this is a boutique hotel and it is only 3 star. They asked me to park along the main road at my own risk. Imagine a family with 4 kids having to find a parking spot in such a busy town center and have to bring 4 kids plus luggage to walk to the hotel. I told them I wanted to cancel and asked for a full refund. They told me it is impossible due to their terms and regulations. I was so angry and I called agoda. Nothing helpful either. Told me it's their policy. I told them I'm not gonna budge as it is a great inconvenience for me staying in such a place. And here I am being cheated of rm 950. Mind you, this hotel is not cheap but service is worse than budget hotel. When you have so much time to write so much wonderful things about your hotel, why can't you just add a statement that you do no provide parking spot for hotel guests. Be fair to others when you insist on collection upfront and hide behind those terms and conditions when you did not specifically inform your would be guests of what to expect ahead. Hope you can sleep well with my money.
