Old world feel with modern amenities -- air-conditioning, hot water shower, fluffy duvets and towels, satellite TV and DVD, washing machine, microwave, refrigerator, and some novels to browse. Across the road from Bangkok Road Mee Goreng (not recommended). 5 minutes walk to 7 Eleven and police station. No sound-proofing though so pray that your neighbours are quiet! Stairs are also quite steep, something to keep in mind if traveling with older folks and best to request for ground floor unit. Very easy to deal with the management.

What more can one ask for RM60 per night. A clean and spacey room, a verandah to hang out, the feel like you are in a nice hotel and most importantly a reputable mamak stall just 20 steps away from the door. Except for some mat rempits occasionally reminding me that I am staying in a house just beside the road, I had a pleasant stay throughout. Won't be going anywhere else next time I go to Penang for biz

Easy check-in and out with electronic lock system. Friendly host with quick response. Love the ambience of the house. Mosquitos at night shouldnt be a problem if all doors and windows closed tight. Free parking available for 1 car, council parking available along the road (coupon required). Many attractions within walking distance.
