1. The agent is super friendly, helpful and entertains my questions promptly. She gives me a guide on how to get and give back the key from the letterbox which is super easy to understand. The parking lot is for one car only, but there's public parking with an hour, per entry or a night rate. 2. The location is superb. Mosque, McDonald's, Starbucks and 7-E are nearby. A lot of pubs for non-Muslims. A lot of people lepak at the beachside, located in front of the residence. 3. The duplex is super awesome & clean. The seaview is really worth the price. Wifi is great. Astro is provided. Cutlery, hair dryer, towels, soap, and shampoo are also provided. The space for the kitchen, living room & bedrooms is great. There are two bathrooms (one upstairs & one downstairs). For real, one-night stay is not enough. 4. The downsides are only the small bathroom and the pool. No pool for kids. The gym is locked and looks stranded.

So, we booked on the same day just before setting off for a 4 hour drive to Georgetown. The hosts called and asked us how many people and our reason for stay. We answered. She then calls back and asks us if we’re aware of the security deposit. She asked if we have a Malaysian bank account and we said no as we’re tourists. She hung up.. we then called and messaged and called several times and asked if there would be an issue. We were ignored We literally as we arrived outside and were finding parking she finally answered the phone and told us she was cancelling our booking as we didn’t hold a Malaysian bank account. She wants 2000RM security deposit! That’s equal to nearly £400! I’ve never experienced such a ridiculous amount for a deposit at a £30 a night room, even worse they wouldn’t even accept a cash deposit… only a bank transfer that they would refund after week of our departure which seemed like a fraudulent attempt at getting money from tourists. Then they told us to cancel our booking but we had to insist that they accept the request while in their presence so that we wouldn’t be charged for the room. Essentially they left us stranded, they had no remorse, the woman we spoke to on the phone was hiding in their office. They where insistent on this idea of getting 2000rm via instant bank transfer and had no interest in pricing any level of customer service.

Not value for money. This property is not well managed, security guards are hopeless, car park area smelly with gabbage smell. Lobby is not clean. The swimming pool is not as you see in the photo, small and not comfortable, it is worse than my apartment's pool in Puchong. I waited for an hour for the security guard to give me an access card at the lobby to enter pool area, with 2 young kids 3 and 5 years old, this is on top of the 1.5hr I waited for my slot registered earlier. Its crazy for the money I paid for the stay. Everything is not matched with the money spent. Host denied my claim, so I am replying to host's reply. I think its better for Comfy homestay to understand and admit my disappointment and improve on your listing. I booked the stay managed by Comfy Homestay at Maritime Suites during Feb 2022. Don't try to be irresponsible k. I am giving review for my stay experience at this same property. Your room is fine but it is overpriced, and you can work with the property management to your favor. Very bad racist experience! I have made a reservation and the contactperson asked me different questions. I have answered all of them. After that he cancelled my reservation and he doubled the price for one night stay. I have been traveling my whole life but never experienced somebody excluding guest based on race. Never again!!

Air cond is cold in the living but slightly warm in the upstairs room. May be stay in 22nd floor, can feel the heat when walking up the stairs. Great view for sunrise, feel easy and comfortable.... togetherness

This is my first time staying in the Maritime Suites. There is nothing special about the hotel, just a big space and a big living room. I had high expectations for this hotel at the beginning, but I was disappointed in the end. Poor and leaky air conditioner. Poor sleeping environment with cockroaches hiding in the bed. Insufficient and old items provided by the hotel. In general, the sea view is good, the living room is clean and comfortable except for the place to rest.

Room and location is very good!!!! Just the car park bad like shit…..pay ticket need to walk till towerB basement….that not a problem, problem is when I asking about that basement counter( when need drive out) , that Chinese uncle face like I owe him how many thousand ringgit!!!!! Theres a bar below that is playing loud bass music past 12am. Im staying at level 10 and can hear the bass loud and clear. Rooms are nice.

Beware of this management , they just ignore u when u ask more question , no answering phone call and treat as u non show cancel ur booking after u pay , we was trying to ask about the deposit issue , after that the management like dog eyes talking very unpolite , the next call was declined , no chances to ask how to pay for the deposit and getting the key , and then we get cancel booking by non show , no refund , this is not scam ? The building is poorly maintained, cleanliness is really bad, dusty, there were 4 elavators but only 1 working The parking staff was very rude (chinese uncle) and not helpful…he shouldnt be working at this building We had an issue with parking barrier and had to pay money…Parking is dark and dirty

PLEASE READ BEFORE STAYING HERE !!!( BAD ) I have stayed in many hotels/home stays and I can say easily that this is one of the worst we have been in. Staring off when we walked in the front door the floor was sticky which was very disgusting. Secondly when I went to look at the sofa there was alot of stains on it which made my family no choice but to be in their rooms or the dining area to sit. Thirdly the toilet door on the second floor was stuck so we had to rely on the first floor toilet which the toilet bowl and the toilet that is standing one for men is DIRECTLY facing the toilet bowl so when we want to excrete or pee it would be very hard because too cramp and especially it was VERY smelly, they didn't even provide basic untelsis. Fourthly the bed has stains too we actually have to cover it with the blanket to actually sleep on it because it was too disgusting. Lastly the aircond on the first floor was okay BUT the second floor one has a disgusting smell to it when using and it also not blowing any air out so maybe it was old and malfunctioning with smelly smells. Very disappointing for RM500+ For 1 night. The view was nice BUT I could find better hotels than this for cheaper and cleaner and provides better service. Although this place is very convenient (many stores nearby) there is water leaks all over the place. For RM500+ I'm 100% sure I could find a better hotel than this. If you came for the view I wouldn't recommend this although it was nice but If I took time to scroll and survey other places I'm sure my money and my experience will be more worth it. we didn't change rooms because we did not wanted to be a fuss, so we just left a review. Really enjoyed our stay here at maritime suites. It is well managed by the comfy home team and the duplex apartments are big and have excellent views of the bay and good opportunities to see sunrise and also across to George Town It is also very convenient in terms of food (many bars and restaurant downstairs at karpal singh drive) and also it is walkable to city (half an hour?) But easier yet taking Grab to town is only 7myr which is very good value. The only slightly weaker point is the pool here which is a bit smaller than I thought but nonetheless overall this place is great!

This airbnb was the worst and we really regret the stay there. The curtain was hanging when we reached, and when the curtain dropped by itself they apologised. But after 1 week of the stay they claimed damage funds from us for the curtain. Ridiculous and not even worth the money staying there. Glasses are not cleaned. You can barely see the sea.

As usual local standard. Weird carpark design. Sofa smells like cigarettes. Carpet filled with sunflower seed shells. Rain fills up the floor through racked windscreen. Water cut off for more than 20 hours. When they say clean means we have to clean it for them before can stay.

Be careful with the management. The deposit is too high, and the marketing asked me extra charge for my toddler and my 9 months baby!! Crazy charge and she refused any revision. First i told her I with 3 kids, then I revised, obly 2 kids. She keep charged me 3 kids no matter what. The total cost after extra charge will be 2x original price. Never, never, never book this property! I found another property which more comfort, friendly and nice view also in Penang.

seriously avoid at all cost, the online reviews & photos are so misleading, the building is quite dated, cleanliness not well maintained, lifts are clunky & having screeching noises while operating, the worst of all is poor building security, anybody can freely walk in & out into the building area, the residence parking area is poorly lit & seems very shady, anything could happen & highly not recommended for ladies

B-21-01, Book at Airbnb, before accepting my booking , owner need clarife your ID to make sure it is same person booking the house, then only will accept the booking. It is nice and comfortable 2 room with 1 double bed , 5 single bed, 2 bathroom, and with good views, the room price compare with other listing is reasonable , it is easy check in process. However, they provided parking arrangements for hotel guests, seed wifi connectivity with basic Astro basic channels, the house condition so so only ... many place walls have dirty marks, the fan are dirty, master room aircond filter also dirty no air coming out, we need to help them wash the net. Then only the air become bigger . Cobwebs can be seen high up on the ceiling. they no provide any coffee , tea pack or mineral water. And the dustbin are smelly even is empty. Maybe is hight floor the water heater showers pressure are small.. dated building & facilities, not to mention the horrible clunky sound of the lifts, is it even safe to use i highly doubt that. This house let your earn money , is need to keep maintain. please touch up the wall painting are dirty , clean the fan and cobwebs on hight ceiling , services the master room aircond... Serounding have alot off restoran and pub. No worry hungry at meatnigh. Some restoran are opening until 2am.

This is a wonderfully situated apartment block, across the road from the port of Penang. Large rooms and plenty of living space. The building has 24/7 security with a pool and gym. There are a variety of shops available downstairs including restaurants and bars. A Starbucks is situated onsite and McDonald's is a 5 minute walk away. No complaints, would gladly stay again. There is also a bike hire service across the road and a walking/running path.

Under expectation. Saw on agoda ratings are 4-5stars, but indeed the building is a bit poor maintained, look old, common area a bit dirty like walls, doors, lifts.. not that new and luxury as seen in photos. Swimming pool is so small, not attractive to swim. Gym room totally not fuctioning. With the high price rate, i feel not worth staying here. Only good point is the restaurants, cafe, bars are just downstairs so it looks happening at night. Will not recommend people to stay here.

The state government especially the tourism department need to start taking action on this kind of hotel. Poor maintenance of the facilities and overall fittings,look run down and even unprofessional customer service. The hotel is located at the most strategic location, taking the reclaimed land named after an important iconic person,yet the service and facility are both bad not jusf fjd location n service would give Penang a bad image as tourist destination

this airbnb was the worst i’ve ever stayed in, i have a family of 6 and they all complained so much. they have a limit of 10rm for aircon per day, and the floor was so dusty and dirty. payed 1k+ plus and they don’t even allow us to cook in the airbnb. toilet has alot of ants. i don’t recommend staying here

The room was not up to expectations. It was hard to walk in the room where I broke one of my toe nails and literally lost the whole piece of toe nail. Have a not bad view of the sea and Penang bridge but not the best option for the price we paid for.

While the view is mesmerizing, the fact that the arrangement in the unit is like a hostel/dorm is really one of the reason i dont like about this unit. On top of that, most of the bed already started to sag. The unit design itself is excellent, nice 2 rooms duplex condominium.

Good hygiene, host very caring. Will follow with you on the check in n out process to ensure you getting thru. Very convenience location.

Enjoyed the penthouse layout and decor and the greaaaat view of course. They can improve on check-in process. Karpal Singh Drive is on the doorstep so you need not worry about food supplies.

Great vacation place with your family! Lot of paid car parks available. sea view is majestic from the suites. Lots of restaurants and convenient stores.

It was my 2nd time being there, the room is rather modern looking and spaciou during the 1st time. The room that we have the 2nd time was smaller and there wasn't any concept to the decor. Parking was provided for 1 car, so if there are any additional car, either to park in the basement or by the road at the seaside. But parking was hardly to find, so be prepared to do a couple round

The interior is so nice... You will have the seaview that is so beautiful.. The utilities is complete and work well.. Except for the tv.. Cannot do screen mirroring..

We are forced to pay for 5 pax even when we just have 4 pax. Comfy homestay want us to pay for the extra charges based on their assumption that we have 5 pax. We are not willing to pay for the extra charges and therefore being asked to cancel our room , we can get our refund only if we provide IC (4 of us) to them which is totally not make sense as we are not going to stay. Very bad Management ! Poor staff ! Bad attitude !

Maritime 1706 room. The owner fined my friend for rm300 deposit due to having tape on wall. The owner teared the tape and ruined the wall. Then snap photo saying that we ruined the wall (he ruined himself) without noticing us to remove it or etc. But using heat is able to remove the tape without ruining the wall. Beware. Many of my friends got fined!

The pool is not child friendly. Tak ada children's pool and the pool area is dangerous for kids sbb ada mcm lantai yg patah2. The whole place looks rundown. But dalam bilik lawa. Pemandangan pun cantik.

Luxurious location and good size apartment at Karpal Singh avenue. Surrounded by shops, food and view of both penang bridge and surrounding island. Sea view part of Penang Secured and safe friendly environment.

This service apartment is strategically located at Karpal Singh Drive and there are lots of shops and eateries around. I like the sea view from the apartment and the ambience of the surrounding neighbourhood.

The Homestay has been a great experience until the end of the trip, though the housekeeping needs to do a better job with managing the insects that seem to be creeping around

Stayed at Comfy last year and have to say it’s a good time. Very clean room and best service from the team. I will support again when pandemic is over.

Except the sea view,the place is nothing at all. The surrounding environment is noisy as down there has bars and the facilities are poorly maintained even the lift. Not recommended at all.

We stayed at this place from 16-18Aug. The staff accused us smoked inside the unit and confiscated our Rm300 of deposit money(infact, we smoked outside the corridor and not inside the unit). But, when we asked for the receipt, they refused to provide to us. Before they conducted the check when we check out, they ordered us waits at lobby, we didn't know and we are not witnessing how they conducted the checking. At the end, they came down to the lobby and accused us smoked inside the unit and refused to listen our explanation. Is really a very bad experience for me for the first time received this type of treatment. We will never never consider to stay in Maritime suites again.
