The receptionist is rude and falls into arguments all the time. They cancel appointments without your prior notice and charge you for cancellation. I had to cancel one due to a fever to my kid, and in their system, no notes about it. The receptionist doesn't have a sense of respect for the customer, and we are just money machines for them. The reason they would give is they would have seen other patience, but they should be able to do it anyway because we have less of doctors here and more patience. It's just that they don't want to miss any money from the booking. We are ordinary people dedicated to working 12 hours shifts, but they want to make everything out of 8 hours shifts. The receptionist was so rude that she told me they wouldn't give the vaccine to my baby at all because of this cancellation charges-related argument. You can imagine the attitude of that lady. However, this review is not about the doctor; the doctor has been excellent. The policy they are having and the rude attitude of the receptionist has bothered me. Their cancellation charges differ for a different reason ($45 to $100) which says that it's not just the charges wasting time, but what doctors would have to get from the Canadian government for the proper appointment.

This is in regards to the baby well clinic. The doctor there is exceptional, so kind and very knowledgeable. He has the best people skills. However, I have to give the clinic a one star review because the receptionist ruins the whole experience. She is the rudest person I’ve ever encountered. She is mean and condescending and everytime I’ve been there, she just wants to fight with patients. I don’t understand why she has a patient-facing job if she hates interacting with people that much. You need a kinder person who knows how to interact with patients.

I showed up there this morning and called the number while standing in the lobby and they told me they were open but all booked up. I explained my situation and how much pain I was in and needed a doctor urgently (mind you I was already turned away from 4 other places including emergency at this point). I was in tears from my pain and was told to try emerge and I said I had already been turned away and they got quiet. A moment later all they could say was "Sorry can't help you" and not even suggesting a different clinic. No compassion, no empathy. Everyone needs to fight just to get looked at, seems the only time you can get examined is after you're dead now. So upsetting in my own home province.

Would give negative stars if it was possible. Think about the worst customer service ever, make it 10 times worst than that and there you have the receptionist... Can't even imagine being that miserable first thing in the morning, would be a terrible life...

Very unprofessional walk in clinic. Dr says i am not here to discuss your issues as i have to rush to see my own patients. If Dr is so busy that she is not able to attend/ discuss walk in patients problem then why they are talking walk in appointments. Is it just to make money?? They are also charging different amount everytime for compliting same form. 1 star is too high for this walkin , wish google will come out with -ve rating also

don’t ever bring your child to this place. doctor Rostist is one of the WORST doctors in nova scotia hands down, the worst. i’m surprised he even has his medical license still.

Dr Bains is the absolute best family doctor I have ever had. He takes the time to listen and actually cares to understand the big picture. I have also always found reception and support staff to be friendly and professional. Great clinic from my perspective.

Good office staff and Dr. Bains is an absolute gem..we feel blessed to be patients at this practice.

Horrible experience for my wife. The doctor was very late and she did not apologize for it. She was not empathic and denied care for another issue. Our health system is awful and no one seems to care.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Some of the rudest unhelpful people I've ever met. They make you feel so small. You would think in a health care crisis they'd be a little more kind.

I can only speak about the prenatal clinic with Dr. Connell. I saw her during my pregnancy and she was great. I was very happy that she came to the IWK for my unplanned c-section late evening. I also really liked the receptionist, she was always friendly and polite, even though it was always busy. All in all I can say that I am very happy with their care.

Dr. Bains is great, above and beyond and most importantly; caring. Staff is also great.

I had one great experience with the women's health nurse who trained in Markham, and fine experiences with the duty clinic receptionist. Every other experience I've had at this clinic has been abysmal. No one informed me when my physician closed his practice; I learned that I didn't have a physician four months after he left, when I tried to schedule an appointment and was referred to the duty clinic. On a more recent visit, Dr. Pacis wrote "no follow up" on an important blood test, despite saying that she would follow up and refer me to another clinic within the practice, which meant that I had to pick up my results in person and interpret them myself (truly, DIY medicine). When I called to self-refer, they said they'd call back to confirm, but never did. When I followed-up, they finally scheduled the appointment and said that they'd schedule further tests, but they did not. It's very difficult to trust them with health concerns, given how often things seem to fall through the cracks. I eventually found another clinic that could see me, and asked that Regency close my file. I worry about patients who don't have that possibility.

Dr Baines is amazing, best doctor I’ve ever had & the front staff is great

If I could give this clinic a 0 trust me ai would. The office staff is rude and uncaring. The doctors are busy sailing in the Turks and Caicos and don’t care about the patients you are just a number that is only useful for prescription quotas so they can get their kick backs.

I've been coming here for a few years now, as my PCP is here. I have some past medical traumas, and it takes me longer than most to get comfortable with new caregivers. I now feel comfortable, safe, and well-looked after with an excellent Nurse Practitioner. 🙂

This place is not a walk in clinic, you need to first book the appointment and then come to visit the doctor on that scheduled day. This place is having different floors, first floor will contains the pharmacy, duty(adults) and well baby clinic. The second floor is having family practice psychiatry and the third floor is having prenatal minor procedure cardiology/ekg

Called in the morning. They booked an appointment for me. The nurse that I saw was very good the Dr.’ Just as nice and efficient. Faxed in my script. This will now be my go to clinic when unable to get in with my family dr.

We have worked with Dr. Bains & nurse Amanda and they are both fantastic.

Doctor is amazing. I don't know what I would do without this place. Staff extremely accommodating, and friendly every time I make a call or have an In person appointment. Thank you for all you do!

Please please never bring your child here because dr service is very bed and he don't know how to immunization baby.

This clinic consistently runs on time and is extremely professional. Not only are the staff and doctors friendly and personable, but a considerable amount of time and attention is given during each and every visit, which makes patients feel welcome and comfortable. Thank-you for the amazing care that you’ve provided to my daughter and all of the information that you’ve passed onto me as a first time parent.
