Beds were not very comfortable, but I have a bad back and it takes a pretty firm mattress for me to get right. My wife didn't care for the beds either. The place as a whole was very nice. Pool gym food cleanliness was all excellent

Omni Hotel in Houston has a good first impression with its spacious and minimalist chic lobby. The room I stayed in was fine. Clean and everything a standard hotel room should have. It lacks in wall outlets so charging several electronics at the same time could be a challenge. Bathroom has a shower/tub combo. Restaurant is nice but WAY overpriced. Guest service was up to par. Pool area was nice. There is no retail/guest shop for essentials and no vending machines anywhere on the property. And the location being remote to anything is kind of a big downer. There’s is PLENTY of room at the lobby level to add a guest shop somewhere. It probably will never happen so plan ahead if you stay there and bring whatever you think you may want/need. There’s a refrigerator in the room

Great location near Galleria but away from hustle and bustle and noise. Been an Omni for 20 years and The Four Seasons before that. Bathrooms still have bathtubs which is very rare these days. Rooms are spacious, views are nice! We didn’t dine or use amenities but apparently the Black Swan is trendy. Great group rate for large events.

I called ahead the day before check in to request an early check in, when I showed up closer to normal check in time on the day of check in I was informed that the suite that was booked for me was not ready. I waited for 2 hours on my suite and when another gentleman from my block of rooms went to check on it saying this was unacceptable they said my room was ready and without me present gave him my room key and said i was checked in. he gave me the key only for me to realize it was a regular room key. the staff overbooked the suites and downgraded me without notifying me. when I called to get the clarification that the room was in fact not a suite I was told I'd receive a 100 credit towards my room. when i received my receipt in the morning with no change to my price I inquiredb with the front desk who stated I'd received $100 towards food/ beverages which was not the statement from the previous date. the team here was quick to offer apology while giving no solutions or misleading in their efforts to placate the numerous guests they allowed to be in similar situations. I would never recommend this facility to be used on the basis of its hotel services

This place really ruined our experience with the marine corps ball. First they "overbooked" our room (even though people who arrived after us got the upgrade that was promised to us) and down graded us, they waited 2 and half ours before they told us, but they made up for it by crediting our room a $100, NOT. THE $100 that they said was going to the room was actually a credit for food and spa. So thinking we got $100 OFF we splurged alittle and tried to enjoy ourselves on their expensive drinks, and of course we didn't know about that $100 til the next morning, so we didn't get to use it the night before. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We really didn't get to enjoy ourselves because we had to keep fighting this hotel.

Hubert of the Mokara spa alone made this review 5/5 stars. The massages were exceptional. We’ve had massages all over the world and these were top tier! The staff was kind, thorough, and paid very close attention to detail. They helped me and my wife have an exceptional time celebrating our anniversary. The moment they found out the brought us a special dessert and made us feel at home. The hotel food is extremely delicious. Well worth what we paid. The quality 100% meets the price. Room service was incredible as well. Ice cream hadn’t even thawed when it was served! Would recommend to friends and especially family! The hotel rooms were clean, comfortable, and fresh. The room was missing a small refrigerator, but one is available for rent. This would be my only concern. Thank you Omni for an incredible weekend get away!

We had to cancel our four day reservation on day of arrival due to our flight being cancelled. Reservation was booked with points on our credit card, and hotel refused to return value to our card, even partially. I consider this a form of thievery. Beware of this hotel group.

Very modern facility wirh great customer service. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I also enjoyed the restaurant and cocktail lounge. My only negative is that the hotel's location is not convenient for off site food options or shopping.

Stuff was nice and amazing however the cleanness was not up to standard for an expensive hotel, we traveled seven hours for doctor appointments for my toddler to just have a trouble experience first room we received the bed sheets were dirty, we were told we were getting upgraded with a 50.00 credit we got the same room just on a level higher then this second room the tub and sink were dirty we personally had to clean and disinfect because at this point it was late and our babies were fussy and tired from being in a car for seven hours. Not to mention they just credited the account 30.00. Definitely will not be staying here again.

Was here for a work convention- way over cost - everything was charged including WI-Fi - . No transportation to the airport - shuttle only travels in a 3 mile radius, Resteraunt Birdie's on site is $$$ and the food rating is on par with cafeteria food. Terriable experience rooms are old , beds are hard, and the water pressure is so high it peels your skin off. The only provide you with 2 bottles of water in your room- for over $250 a night I expected a lot more. (That was a discount price) i have stayed at lesser hotels with more amenities. Never Again.

Great location and amazing service. Hotel lobby is amazing and the pool is fantastic. My one criticism is the rooms are starting to look dated. They aren't dated yet but are very close to needed an update. Also they were missing easy to reach outlets to charge your devices. Very minor thing in the massive scheme of things. In the end still 5 stars as that was only a minor thing.

Beautiful hotel, location was perfect for all the places we went to. All the staff members were fantastic, super friendly and very accommodating. Our view from our room was a plus, for sure. My most favorite part and the main reason for the 5 star review are the valet staffs. Every single one of them are so sweet!! Really made me and my friends feel so very special! Very helpful, prompt, and professional. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and hope to come back soon! ❤️

I booked a Cabana to spend the day at the pool with friends. The staff were very attentive but slow. The drinks were horrible. All the cocktails were either too sour or too sweet. The server said he will replace our drinks for free but ended up charging us at the end. We left our bags in locker room at the spa, but were locked out. The receptionist didn’t inform us the early closure, even though she knew we had the cabana until 7p. We paid a lot for the day pass, food, and drinks. I was honestly very disappointed with the experience.

I have stayed at Omni’s religiously wherever I travel and have never had an issue until now - this was my first time at the Houston Omni and I will not be returning. The interior looks nicely renovated and new when you walk in and though the staff at the desk were kind, they share mis information. As a black member I typically check in at 9-10am for business travel and I had called the night before to confirm this. After arriving at 9am promptly, I was again told my room was being cleaned and that I was first in queue and it would be ready within an hour or less. I waited for two full hours before finally having to find a quieter space to work and am currently going on hour 5 with no room. I called the manager to check in and told her the circumstances and all she had to say was that check in is at 3 (I have never checked in at 3 and I can see online there are tons of available rooms). absolutely terrible service and for black members nonetheless. Very disappointing.

For as much as this place costs, you would think the rooms and hallways would be updated to a more modern look. As I walked through the floor level to access my room, I felt like I was in the Shining movie. It smelled old. The room I stayed in didn't have a working fridge so they had to bring me a separate one which took up space. The lobby is very misleading because once you enter the floors, it's a different story. The parking is an issue for me because I feel that should be included with the room stay. Wrong, that's an extra $24.00 per key card, which you get to keep (yay)! Not only do you have the parking fee but you also have a parking tax!! The only good thing I will say about this place is the customer service. Other than that, it was over priced for what I was expecting. I'm pretty reasonable and others may disagree but if you don't believe me, go check it out for one night to see for yourself and formulate your own conclusion. I'm not able to post my bill on here so everyone can see all the taxes that are charged. The least they could do is make the parking part of the stay like most other hotels. I also forgot to mention there is no ventilation fan in the bathroom. I mean the most basic things that even Motel 6 has, this hotel doesn't.

Gorgeous hotel, professional staff, excellent amenities! Best decision we made to reserve a room block and to stay at the Omni Houston for weekend of my destination wedding! My husband's bachelor event was held in the Whiskey Lounge and he was highly impressed. We reserved a private shuttle for the day of the wedding which ran flawlessly. All of my hotel guests are still raving about the Omni. I couldn't ask for more! Honorable mention to Candace Thomas for helping facilitate our stay!

The positive of this review which made it 3 stars: On the weekends they do a breakfast buffet, which was great value and the food was great and there service was also fantastic. The room was comfortable and spacious for 2 guests. The location is great and convenient to area attractions. Why I wouldn't stay here again unless it was the last available: The weekend we stayed was very busy with weddings and other activities. We seemed to get stuck on one of the wedding guests floors, where it was VERY loud- even after 1am, 2am, even 3 am- for as quality of Hotel as Omni markets itself, this was discouraging. The 3 stars is because the room was nice and comfortable, though we could've been provided more towels. My aunt had actually paid for the room prior to arriving and communicated with the Hotel that they would be covering the room cost and other incidentals . My mom and I arrived a little later than expected to the hotel, which we communicated to Hotel our approximate arrival. Upon our arrival around 11 pm, we had shown a copy of our confirmation with the paid for credit card, where they insisted that we give another card and I quote told that " we would hate to turn you away, but unless we have a physical credit card upon check, in the room is not paid". Really, you're going to turn away guests with a copy of the confirmation number and proof that it was paid for?! Now if they had communicated that they needed a physical copy of the credit card, I know that my Uncle would have stopped by to provide it- that should've been communicated when they first paid. The Spa was okay- go to Trellis or Solayge instead. My esthetician was visibly sick and I should've just left at the beginning. We never went to the Pool or the gym- we opted for Memorial Park, they both looked very nice.

Our family loved our 3-night stay here. The hotel is beautiful, fresh, and relaxing. Most noteworthy is the staff. Every single person we spoke with had the best attitude. And this warm and kind service permeates the atmosphere. And the location is in a quiet, green corner of a busy galleria district. It’s easy to find many gluten-free food options nearby. We are looking forward to our next stay here.

Easy check in and check. The pool bartender was super nice, and we had a good experience with him. The pool was kind of dirty and cloudy. There was there was there that was smoking cigars the whole time and threw his empty drink cups in the pool. We tried to order room service, but were told we had to go pick up the food ourselves. Birdie's Breakfast food and coffee was really good, and the bed was really comfortable. Also, I enjoyed seeing the Black Swans.

Conference accommodations in banquet facilities were top-notch. We could not have asked for a better experience, there were 200 of us & we had A/V requirements that worked seamlessly. Breakfast and dinner accommodations were top notch

Great hotel, great location. Gym was good, food was good, not a lot to do for children since it was raining the whole time we were there. Other than pool and gym not a lot to do for anyone under 21

This is a beautiful hotel . Nice clean rooms , comfortable beds , beautiful lobby . Their customer service was excellent. The employees that work there are professional, friendly and have excellent customer service. Great pool area and they have a great bar that’s almost like a speak easy vibe . Definitely a 5 star hotel with a great vibe and ambiance.

Mother/Daughter Time. I enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing signature massage, and you have access to the sauna and hot tub as well. They have a delicious weekend breakfast buffet. Complimentary champagne 🍾 or signature cocktail 🍸 of the day was definitely a bonus. Plus, Complimentary self parking if not a guest of the hotel. I can honestly say, "It's totally worth it, and I will definitely be back!

This hotel needs to be remodeled. It is very clean, rooms are nice and big, but has not been updated for a loooonnnggg time… If you plan on charging your phone bring a wall charger, there are absolutely no usb chargers. And the outlets are behind the nightstand, so you’ll have to work for it. I mean there is an Ethernet connection in the room in case you brought your Y2K computer with you… For the price of the rooms I think this is unacceptable.

I was here for a business conference, it was a great venue. The room was comfortable, quiet, and clean. The food and service was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed my. The only negative experience I had was the front desk held my suitcase, as I was there before check in. When I got the suitcase back a wheel was broken. However, I would stay at this hotel again. Thank you to management for such a good experience.

As others have said, the hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous. All the comforts and impeccable service that Omni is known for. A few minor cons - self-parking is mandatory, due to location, and should go ahead and be included in price. Let people pax extra for Valet, if they wish. The food in Birdies Cafe is also not that great, including the breakfast buffet, with really high prices for what you get. But there are no options to walk elsewhere, not even a grocery store, due to location, so they know you're a captive audience. Pool is amazing! Consider having more accessible restrooms and laying off the guards stationed up front. Kind of puts off the chill vibe. No one who is trying to sneak into a hotel pool is going to pay that high garage fee. They would likely go to a lower-end hotel. Black Swan Nightclub is really awkward and only looked fun if you're a boomer AND insanely drunk (music choices were quite poor). The Whiskey Lounge was gorgeous, however, and seemed to be a nice atmosphere for adults of all ages. These points above were very minor, hence why only deducting 1 star. Overall, this hotel was still a fabulous stay and provided us a really relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Some of the notable highlights included 1) Getting to see and interact with gorgeous black swans in the front pond, 2) Enjoying a top-notch workout room with quality equipment, 3) Sleeping in the most comfortable beds known to humankind, and 4) Perusing some interesting books in the Whiskey Lounge with a quality drink and beautiful atmosphere. The management and check-in staff were also great! (The bell hops were a bit too giddy, however, after explaining several times we didn't want help, they still grabbed the cart against our wishes and proceeded to "help" then make awkward comments about how they can make change for a proper tip if all we had were larger bills...)

My husband and I stayed here with our pup. The hotel is beautiful and clean and the staff is all incredibly friendly. Upon check in we were accidentally checked into a room that was not ready. The front desk staff, Kenya, was incredibly kind and apologetic. She immediately fixed the issue and gave us a FB credit. Upon leaving there was a double charge on our bill print out and Stacy Mai was so kind and not only fixed the issue. But tacked on more of our FB credit. The customer service is unmatched and I greatly appreciate their quick problem solving and kind words. Every one smiles and welcomes you and greet you each day. It has truly been a pleasure to stay here and I look forward to staying again in the future. Thank you Omni Houston staff!!

From the moment of arrival to our departure we were treated as favored guests. The lobby was wonderful and don't get me started on how wonderful the place smells. The fitness room is worthy of a serious athlete and the room we stayed in was perfection; clean, well furnished, and comfortable. The water pressure was fantastic. This may be the perfect hotel. I'll be back

  • 5/5 Kelli H. 9 months ago on Google
Wow! So lovely. Staff are extremely nice and helpful. Mid day snacks in the lobby were yummy. We appreciated having the shuttle take us and pick us up from a nearby shopping center at which we dined and shopped. I stayed there for a conference while 3 weddings were also happening. Lots of people but that did not slow down the service.

Everything about our stay was just wonderful. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff who promptly provided us with our room. The check in process was smooth and they took the time to give me an overview of the property. The rooms were clean, comfortable and inviting. I slept so well (which hardly happens when I travel). We had the opportunity to visit the bar located on the main floor and we enjoyed a nice drink. The morning I was checking out, I accidentally got locked out of my room. I called the front desk and within minutes someone was there to help me. The gentleman was quick to help and I was back in my room in no time. It is unfortunate that we could not stay longer but we will definitely be back!

This review would be for the Service of their staff and event hosting ability. Although I did not stay at the hotel. It is immaculately kept secluded off the beaten track but still local and not far from downtown Houston on the west side parking is amazingly easy in their private garage or with the valet service, clean Facility very attentive help would highly recommend if you have a large group or an event needing planning to reach out to the Omni you will not be disappointed

During my recent stay at your hotel, I encountered a series of disappointments that had a severe impact on my overall experience. I initially booked my room with a late check-out scheduled for 4 PM and had an important online meeting planned for the day of my departure. Despite these preparations, and even after hanging a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door, I was interrupted on two separate occasions. The first incident occurred at 1:39 PM when a housekeeper knocked on my door and questioned my check-out time. Upon informing her of my late check-out arrangements, she displayed visible disapproval and departed without offering an apology. The second interruption was even more disconcerting. At 2:00 PM, another woman knocked on my door, insisting that I needed to check out. When I reiterated that I had scheduled a late check-out, she instructed me to call the front desk. When I questioned why she was disturbing me despite the "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door, she left without issuing any apology. The behavior exhibited by both women was not merely unprofessional but also incredibly rude and audacious. These interruptions, particularly during an important online meeting, contributed to an extremely unpleasant experience that no guest should have to endure. As a result, I have decided never to book a stay at your establishment again and cannot recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed at the Omni in Houston for 4 days The pool area is just lovely The room was a little dated as other reviews commented, but nothing that would cause you to not enjoy it fully We stayed in a suite, and the only issues we experienced were - streaming the TV, the small bathroom mirror didn’t light up, and the bedroom had minimal storage space for our luggage Other than this, the room was very comfortable and offered wonderful bedding and pillows We initially were given a room on the opposite side of the hotel, which wasn’t suitable, as it smelled like cigarettes - however the hotel immediately moved us to another room We had a couple of hiccups, however the hotel went above and beyond to rectify these issues, which made us feel like valued guests The location is safe and quiet with a shuttle that will take you anywhere within 3 miles I highly recommend staying here We also used the restaurant a few times, and were not disappointed in the least Thank you Omni for a lovely experience

Nice luxury hotel near Houston Galleria and Memorial Park. Service was exceptional. Rooms are a little pricey. Location was perfect for our needs. Room service food was excellent. Great shuttle service to our office.

One week stay. Did not start off well: 1. not a friendly check in 2. stain on bed sheet 3. room key not working for half the stay BUT... Ms Lakisha Lewis at the lobby reception turned it all around. She had great customer service, patiently heard our concerns, and resolved each one. Restaurants nearby. Adequate parking spaces. Nice pools.
