I
recently
stayed
at
this
hotel,
and
while
there
were
certainly
highlights,
I
encountered
a
couple
of
notable
issues
that
future
guests
might
want
to
be
aware
of.
Firstly,
for
my
fellow
Explorists
and
internet
aficionados,
a
word
of
caution:
the
'Premium'
Wi-Fi,
contrary
to
the
hotel's
page,
isn't
complimentary.
After
a
bit
of
confusion,
the
friendly
staff
did
remove
the
charge,
but
it's
worth
noting
for
future
guests
that
the
free
Wi-Fi
option
is
the
standard
one.
Another
point
of
contention
was
the
in-room
fridge,
or
rather,
the
lack
of
its
functionality.
It
maintains
a
lukewarm
55
degrees,
at
best.
We
faced
a
bit
of
a
snag
when
our
oat
milk
spoiled
due
to
this
temperature
limitation.
Though
the
staff
offered
to
store
items
at
the
front
desk,
a
more
practical
in-room
cooling
solution
would've
been
ideal.
On
the
brighter
side,
the
hotel's
lobby
is
a
testament
to
modern
design,
a
true
visual
treat.
However,
this
flair
for
style
didn't
quite
extend
to
the
rooms,
which
felt
more
outdated
in
comparison.
The
elevators,
while
aesthetically
pleasing,
are
a
bit
on
the
smaller
side
and
could
test
your
patience
with
their
speed.
I
didn't
sample
the
hotel's
cuisine,
as
the
prices
seemed
quite
high.
The
in-room
entertainment,
however,
was
a
highlight
–
the
TV
and
streaming
services
provided
a
great
way
to
unwind
after
a
day
out.
Despite
these
experiences,
the
overall
stay
wasn't
without
its
charm.
It's
an
establishment
I
might
consider
revisiting,
although
I'll
be
exploring
other
options
too
during
my
extensive
stays
in
Houston
this
year.
The
hope
is
that
the
feedback
might
encourage
some
improvements,
especially
for
frequent
travelers
who
value
those
little
comforts
of
home.
