Great place! We've stayed in a few other hotels downtown and this is the best one so far. The rooms are clean and updated. The beds are comfortable, the insulation was good so the rooms were quiet even with a big party going on downstairs, and the curtains block out all the city lights. The staff is friendly and the valet was fast. Couldn't ask for much more.

Everything about this hotel was excellent! Valet service was very professional and fast. The front desk was polite, and the housekeeping service cleaned our room without disturbing us. We were given two bottles of water each day we stayed. Valet is $45 a night, and the hold for accidentals is $75 a night. Although they were hosting a ton of teenagers for the Christian Conference, everything was great!

Has potential to be 5 stars. But lacks on a few key items. If you stay here, pray you don’t get a room on a higher floor. They have 8 elevators yet only 2 or 3 seem to work. So you’ll wait a bit for an elevator. Rooms are spacious and clean. Although the sheets are cheap and not really comfortable. They make a lot of noise under movement. Customer service is superb here. Very much dedicated to their job. 3 stars because of the sheets and the elevator situation. For the price you pay here, those two are unacceptable.

If i could give this place 0 stars i would. I was staying here for a conference and the rooms were subpar for the price that we paid. The service was the worst it could have been. We had a dinner provided by the hotel (150$ a head) that was equivalent to a McDonalds hamburger. The dinner service was awful. Entertainment was supposed to be provided and nothing ever happened. The bar was supposed to be open until 11 and was closed at 10. When asked about this change the wait staff as well as hotel staff proceeded to make a big deal and instead of catering to costumers they decided to make a scene and kick us out and escort us to our rooms. Security was posed outside of my door for a while and truly made me uncomfortable. If you have a choice between any other hotel, i urge you to choose the other option. The rooms, service, and overall experience are not worth the hassle that this hotel has caused. Terrible experience and will not be staying here again.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times and every time it has been wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the rooms have been renovated since the last time I was here in 2018. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I felt so safe being that I was traveling alone with my one year-old, and three year old… we felt safe and everything we needed was provided. I’ll definitely be back next time I am in Houston..

Booking online was easy and so was the check in process. After driving around the block a few times looking for parking we just decided to valet it was only $40 for the night plus a tip so not bad...the guys there were very helpful. The room was clean and surprisingly quiet . Huge bathroom and shower.soft comfy bed. There is a small bar area downstairs but we decided not to hang out there and just went out. Lots of food in the area and all within walking distance. Over all we had a good time . We will be booking again.

This hotel is in a perfect location for business travelers. It is close to corporate offices and has a bagel shop, bar, and restaurant on site. The rooms are spacious and well-kept, and the hotel has various stations in the lobby area for meetings or work. Be aware that there are parking fees, but the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Overall, this is a great hotel for business travelers.

We had an amazing stay this past week!! The rooms were clean and the staff was amazing!! Clean towels and linen were brought to us within a few minutes of requesting them. The staff was very friendly! The Einstein Bros Bagels in the lobby was very convenient and served great food and drinks!

What an amazing stay! Everyone was kind. I love that there are food and restaurant options inside the hotel. This is convenient! The rooms are nice and spacious; I didn’t have an issue with my stay.

Very good location. Friendly staff. The valet $45+tax .No shuttle to Minute Maid Park but cab was <$9 and fast..The hotel is dated but comfortable too a little broken in a few spots. There restaurant on site, sandwiches n coffee ect shop and a small bar ..They are priced a bit higher than i expected with so much near buy ..3 waters cost as much as a medium pizza a few blocks away..The bed and room was clean and comfortable.

We went for an event- the service good, food was very good and the valet was very expensive. Also, I understand they have a tight situation with being downtown, and we expect waits with pick up, but drop off is a bit dangerous with cars waiting out in the street. Perhaps a better plan could be devised for these events (like this every year).

I booked this place for my wife and I to take a quick vacation away from home. It is a great place to stay as there are many places nearby to go explore and plenty of things to do. Parking is either going to be valet, which enables you to get your car as many times during the day and go out and explore at the same price or there is the option to park one time, which, if you’re going to go out and explore, I do not suggest using this option because it will be very costly. It is a very busy place and you definitely need to know where you’re going or pay close attention to your maps if you don’t know downtown Houston. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and very kind and courteous. The hotel was very clean and well put together. The elevators are very fast and get you where you need to go in no time. My wife and I loved it and will definitely stay here again if we’re ever back in downtown Houston. A bit of advice I will offer is that if you run out of bottled water in your hotel room just go to the front desk and ask for more it is complementary and will not cost you anything but if you go somewhere inside the hotel and try to purchase it, it will cost you four dollars a bottle. Also, great places to eat nearby will be the turkey leg hut, snooze breakfast, the rainbow lodge, and of course, Vic and Anthony’s!

For my business purpose this hotel was in the perfect location. Regardless as to whether or not you're a Hyatt member please note there are parking fees. The fees are definitely a shocker, so be prepared. The hotel has a bagel shop, a bar and Shula's restaurant in arms reach. Bar staff are great and their food options were delicious. The salmon salad was so 😋 yummy. Only utilized the bar once due to it being off limits to hotel guests for a private company party. In Shula's I had the vegetarian burger....it was very delicious! Service in Shulas was not great, our waitress did not listen to our requests at all. It seems as though she brought out whatever she felt like, so we had to continuously correct her on what she would bring out. The bar service was definitely better. Esthetically, the hotel is pleasing. Depending on your room positioning, the view can be pleasing as well. There are various stations in the lobby area to have a meeting or to just get out of your room. So happy the rooms have great sound proofing because the lobby and bar areas can be loud. The bar was hosting a company party during my stay. With the structural layout, the noise carries. As can be seen in the pictures, the room was lackluster. How in the world can two people use the small bath accessories they provided. I suppose it matched the average looking bathroom. The ceiling had stains on it, obviously, they'd had a leak. The rooms are a let down compared to everything else.

Make sure to use HotelDully.ᴄᴏm when booking a place. This site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is one of the most well known in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you stay for a few days you won't regret it. What an amazing stay! Everyone was kind. I love that there are food and restaurant options inside the hotel. This is convenient! The rooms are nice and spacious; I didn’t have an issue with my stay.

Outstanding service from the entire hotel staff! Beautiful hotel room and excellent food in all dining outlets. A special thanks to the extraordinary valet staff; from first impression, in/out valet privileges, efficiency, and kindness, these gentlemen Shined! With a high volume of vehicles, these men absolutely Amazed me!

I went to the pool only * upon entering the hotel seems luxury. The hotels feel is a bit older but still very nice and specious. The pool area had a person assisting with food and drinks. Overall nice but it could be better.

We stayed here for one evening the room was incredibly clean and quiet. The air conditioning system worked perfectly, when we walked in freezing and moments later after setting to a comfortable temp just right. We had a cool view of other buildings and Louisiana Street The hotel itself has an Einsteins bagel located downstairs in the lobby and a large dining area with a restaurant. Great location safe and a block away from a straight shot to your Toyota Center. You can walk as it’s very safe to and from.

A very nice regency. This is the standard I expect when I’m staying at a Hyatt. The staff were very friendly and they have a nice bar in the lobby. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in downtown Houston.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The front desk was so kind and helpful. We individually parked at the garage next door. It was $46 for 2 nights and you pay on your way out. My car was safe and we had no issues. Thank you for a wonderful trip to Houston!

From front desk to housekeeping and valet attendants everybody was so friendly and nice! Checking in & out was an absolute breeze and the room was spotless. We booked a high floor king and the views were amazing and it was the perfect downtown location with easy access to many things nearby. Definitely recommend and would stay again!

Upon arrival, hotel did not smell good and the temperature was unpleasantly warm. As the weekend progressed, they seemed to kick up the AC because it did get better temperature wise, but it left an uncomfortable first day. A building that large with thousands of bodies needs AC to really be kicking to feel comfortable. The room didn't have very good lighting. The elevators were extremely slow and I often found it faster to take 20 flights of stairs. The conference room walls were much too thin and we found it hard to hear in seminars due to noise from other seminars coming through the walls. The rooms were also too small and I was unable to attend 2 important seminars due to fire Marshall codes, even though I arrived early to attend. The pool was also a bit run down, and the location felt like a ghost town. I couldn't find any stores within walking distance to get basic necessities and had to use goPuff for delivery. All this being said, seems like a nice hotel if it suits your needs. I just wouldn't recommend it for hosting a convention. The staff was very nice. Housekeeping did a wonderful job. The gym was nice. The catering services were excellent.

Not the same level of class that I expect from other Hyatt Regency hotels. Read on other review sites that this facility was nice but older and I agree 100%. Great service from all the staff and the is an Einstein bagels inside which is awesome sauce. Also across the street from Benihanas so that was nice.

Good food, great staff, clean rooms, comfy beds, excellent water pressure, beautiful fully stocked bar. Super impressed to find my favorite whiskey, Uncle Nearest. An excellent time! Also, a beautiful downtown location surrounded by inspiring architecture, impeccable landscaping, public transportation and restaurant accessibility, as well as a Riverwalk just a couple blocks away up Allen. Oh, the 6th floor outdoor pool, even though it's only 5ft deep, it's compared to others, a pretty good length, with cushioned poolside furniture and plenty of towels. The bar and restaurants also do room service and deliver to the pool. An excellent hotel, outstanding staff, and beautiful too!

Amazing service and rooms! Celebrated our 5th Anniversary here and Mrs Naomi made our room magical! Definitely an experience we won't forget. The entire staff from the bar to the valet were top notch! We'll definitely be back!

The location was great to watch the Thanksgiving Day parade! Only needs to add a jacuzzi and provide some better office space. The open lobby has a couple of small desks but it's wide open. No privacy for calls. Lastly, valet parking is almost $50 per day!

This is a wonderful hotel and great location. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and service was excellent. The room was smartly appointed, we loved the lights above the headboard. The sofa and bed were cozy and the room was clean. The tv screen was larger than standard hotel rooms. My granddaughter loved the sonic speed glass elevators. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here on my next trip to Houston!

Nice hotel, good breakfast and walking distance to lots of places downtown. I would like to mention, that if it's wet outside, be careful on their valet area. I slipped and fell hard when I was there. The whole lane is painted and incredibly slippery.

Valet parking during check-out took a very long time. Could be better organized. The stay at the Hyatt was wonderful. Plenty of elevators, about 8 of them, to get to your floor 🤗

Nice set up love the different atmosphere. It was very quiet but lively at the same time. I had a view of downtown from my room (wish the windows were a little bigger). Comfortable bed and nice bathtub. I would visit again.

Decent rooms, but overpriced and many amenities are lacking. The food is marginal, especially in the bar which deserves negative stars - barely edible, horrible staff-5 servers only 1 doing anything...even the beer was flat and they overcharged us. Absolutely no covid prevention efforts, none. But this is Texas. There is a convention of cheerleaders here and I suspect there will be a number of cases. Oh well.

Great hotel room. Located near green spaces. Only thing I didn’t like was how we can’t access the Spindletop and how there is no way to get a good view of downtown from the hallways. The hotel is connected to the downtown underground tunnel system (enter through the hallway the the right of The coffee shop in the Lobby. Thought the hotel breakfast wasn’t worth it though.

Location is excellent. We were in center of a 10K run, which was fun to watch. Beds had only a thin coverlet. Closet contained one thin blanket. We picked up another blanket for second night, but thermostat was stuck at 58, although turned up to 80. I slept in my jacket and socks. Outdoor pool only did not look inviting. No hot tub.

  • 4/5 Laura B. 2 years ago on Google
It was a pretty good stay, unfortunately, the good service at the hotel ended with the Valet service. They were kind and patient, after that I didn't feel very welcome...not unwelcome, but the service at the desk was neither friendly or helpful. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, except the pillows were a little thin. The towels were rough and small like they are at most hotels. The hotel itself is beautiful and the location was good. In reality, I think it deserves a 4.5. Because of our short stay, I didn't get to take advantage of most amenities, I would visit again, perhaps it would be better since we have discovered all the details about parking, etc...

I need to find out where the couch and bed pillows came from because they are sooo cozy!!! Stayed for 3 nights for a conference. I loved my room. Ballroom and group meeting areas for business were nice. Lobby area is nice and spacious. The desserts are delicious!! Some smaller ones were hot with the type of lighting it had. The hallway going to rooms was tight to squeeze through when you consider a large crowd, housekeeping cart, luggage, and water/food stations(for work conferences).

This place is one of the best in the area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't be disappointed. We had an amazing experience at this hotel. Service was unbelievably awesome. Cody was great! Nice and clean rooms. Tons of places around to walk and enjoy the outside. Clifton, the bar server, was superb. Will different be back.

Great hotel for business or leisure! In the heart of the Houston Downtown Business District, but not far away from many parks, restaurants, bars, live entertainment, & mass transit. Recently remodeled, & the whole hotel looks amazing. We've always enjoyed working events & staying here. Staff is very friendly & professional. Highly recommend!

A great place to stay! Cute, cozy & classic Right downtown but not deep in where you will be stuck in traffic, easy to maneuver to the freeway. Great Restaurants & Food options. Be mindful, parking fees are high but that's to be expected. The hotel lobby bar stayed open pretty late & has some decent cocktails. Hubby & I had a wonderful staycation. We wish we could've stayed longer.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Houston in July 2022 and had a wonderful stay. The staff was absolutely amazing and I was able to text them with any questions or requests I had. I spent all of my stay in my room and found it spacious and well-equipped. The bed was also very comfortable. I also appreciated that there was plentiful storage, outlets, and lighting. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Houston.

Everyone was kind, frequently and very helpful! We were greeted with a surprise in our room to celebrate our anniversary. They also left us the cutest little set of champagne and souvenirs to ring in the New Year. The facility was clean, they had lemon water and cold towels in the gym. Our room was clean and beautiful. I even had a staff member wheel me to my room when they saw I was unable to make it on my own! They get all the stars.

The experience was very day stay. The day and night staff were great, super friendly & helpful. The location itself is in a good spot with lots of things within walking distance. And the lobby has a very nice atmosphere. Be sure to look out the window & you may get a good view of the skyline!

Enjoyed our stay. The bar and food was great. The staff was very attentive. Shout out to the lady working last night, I called front desk that my a/c wasn’t working in the middle of the night. She moved us immediately, brought my key up and was so kind. We were very tired and her making it so easy for us not to have to get out of our pajamas was what we appreciated the most. True customer service. Thanks ma’am, I’ll definitely be back knowing you and your staff are very welcoming.

Newly renovated hotel w| comfortable rooms! I ended up staying here while in Houston because of Hurricane Ida and some times recently. I love the renovation of the hotel, very modern + cozy. Customer service was great! This hotel is located downtown so super close to things in that area.
