IT IS WHAT IT IS. And IT IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT It's an SRO, better than being homeless. It's a tool to be used as a stepping stone to get back on your feet or if you're on fixed income, rent is 100+ per week all bills paid depending on room size plus 10$ app fee(background check) and $15 key deposit. No on under 18 is rented to, and no aggravated, burglary or sexual crimes are rented to. And It was one of the only places that DID NOT FLOOD DURING HARVEY! 😁 I used it as an aid to get back on my feet after having to leave everything and start over due to domestic violence.

Cons: Bed bugs, Mice, and Roaches. the place probably one of the 1st places to get hit by the hirricane for sure. Parking area floods. Rent is. 400 month the community kitched is gross!! bathroom is filthy. Leave your items for a few seconds they will be stolen. Pros. Easy to get a room. Access to Metro Transit and Railroad Metro is literally 2 streets away :) The Manager invests in the place to attract good residents. Its all in how your goals are setup and what u want to gain out of this place. Taught me alot on how to live cheaply and enjoy and have fun through the accessability literally to get downtown. Mostly SSI residents A few young people. No Felons may live here and background check req. The place can get a little out of control. Manager hesistates on evicting problem causing residents. I do not recommend this place for young women.

All the rooming houses in Houston are ran by one company called BG Properties. DO NOT RENT HERE. Each house is dilapidated, poorly ran, infested with bugs, filled with drug addicts and crooks and is all around poor and unsafe.

This is a late review. I lived in this place in 2012 for a week. There were roaches, bed bugs, stray dogs in the parking lot, and the place was in terrible shape. I bought slippers for the shower, a microwave for my room, and threw out the mattress that was in there. *Side note: If you stay here, throw out the mattress immediately* I put 3 bedbug bombs in that tiny room and got a blow up mattress. It didn't help. The people were friendly as hell though. 2 stars just for them. Also, there is only one bathroom per floor.

It a great place to start out with if you are new to Houston,TX or starting out on your new job like me. The people have many personalities that anywhere you go. Me personally ALWAYS DISINFECT THE BATHROOMS. But it keeps a roof over your head. I think this place is good to start out with and save you money. Until you get a little stable.

I did stay there about 10 years ago. Very reasonably priced for an SRO. Definitely better than being out on the street. I did stay there a couple of months and never had any problems.

Outdated with a Slum Landlord (Fly by Night Limited Practices) equals disaster on every level with Magnolia LP managing the property. Or should I say Guero LP. The prospect of this place staying open much longer depends on the actions of Law Enforcement enforcing the Laws of the Federal Government regarding Treason.

Lived here many years ago. Really nice guy who ran this place the manager, the place was absolutely infested with bed bugs, someone used an outside trashcan in their room as a toilet filled it up over the course of months then left it in the hallway, was about as bad as it gets, just a super duper nasty bedbug infested rooming house. The people were cool, like the roomies were all laid back and nice, no issues with any of the residents, except the nasty one who left the trash can in the hallway. They kept the restrooms clean, as well as the kitchen. The community was nice but the house was disgustingly infested with bed bugs πŸͺ²

No response regarding my application after paying their fee for background check. No one answers the phone and no one replies to letters thru the mail sent to them.
