Cancelled flight. Lost luggage. Storm that caused a city wide black out. Other hotels turned us away. This hotel took us in and many many others. Honored reservations, took new ones and got people into affordable beds for the night. No power but lots of kindness. The front desk staff lended his personal phone to a couple who lost theirs even though he didn’t have a lot of battery life left. All the while, he answered endless questions and manually checked in at least 25 people with efficiency. I don’t know if the beds/rooms are 5 star but the service certainly is and they deserve recognition for remaining open to stranded travelers when many others turned us away.

The La Quinta Inn & Suites Houston Bush Intl Airport E is located at 18201 Kenswick Drive in Humble, TX, and is only about 2 miles away from the George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Matter of fact, remote parking lots for the airport are directly across the street from this hotel. The hotel is nice enough looking from the outside, and the staff we encountered, both at the front desk and housekeeping crew, were super nice and attentive. I did not realize that the hotel had shuttle service to the airport, and the front desk person mentioned this at check-in -- thankfully -- as I really needed that service. The room was nicely laid out; not huge, but nice, and the bathroom was clean and functional. The water in the shower got as hot as I needed it to be, and the showerhead was easy to adjust to the fairly powerful stream that I prefer. Additionally, the breakfast area (included) met my expectations; coffee, tea, muffins, bagels, cereal, fruit, waffles, oatmeal... and opened at 6AM on weekdays and 7AM on weekends. All good! However, the room that I had was kinda tired and worn. Maybe more than kinda. The carpet needed a good cleaning -- check that -- it needed three good cleanings. The bottom drawer of the dresser would not open without a serious fight (I surrendered). All of the lampshades had damage, one severe, having punctures and tears resembling maybe what a wild cat on-the-loose might have been able to do. The room needed a good scrub and dusting. Still, I had a great $60/night rate for a nicely made up and comfortable king size bed... and would probably do it again for that rate.

The Front Desk person, who identified himself as a manager is rude and unhelpful. I travel almost 200 days a year for business and had to book a last-minute room because of my college-age daughters' delayed flights at IAH. After arriving very late, they were told to schedule a shuttle when they knew what time they would be leaving Houston in the morning. At 8am they attempted to book a shuttle for a 3:30pm flight and were treated rudely by the man who identified himself as manager. They were told they could not and that the only shuttle left at 11am or 2pm. If you advertise a 24-hour shuttle but then take 3 hours off in the middle of the day, that is unacceptable. And more than the policy being ridiculous, the man was obstinate and treated the girls badly because he thought he could get away with it because they were young. I am appalled, I have never had the front desk at any hotel be that rude and dismissive. Find somewhere else to stay if stranded at IAH, I am sure they have hotel staff that will treat you with respect and have some empathy for difficult travel days.

Overall, not a bad experience. There was confusion about the shuttle. I read it was every 30 minutes and after an hour in the 4 degree C temperatures, one of the airport staff called for me (I had no data). Shuttle drivers are great. The girl at reception was nice but once the check-in was done, I was ignored and an extra question was like a drag. She never offered a wake up call. The room was clean and comfortable and the TV selection was great. However, the walls are like paper. I went to bed listening to someone else's TV and woke at 4 am to those above me seemingly jumping from the bed on to the floor (a kid maybe). The breakfast has eggs, sausage and hashbrowns and I went down when it opened at 6 am expecting they'd be piping hot but the eggs and hashbrown were stone cold. The eggs were so full of liquid (butter?) that another guest had to use tongs to pick up the eggs. It was enough that I cancelled my return stay there and booked a hotel that had the shuttle pass me like 3 times at the airport. So, fine for a cheap hotel but the paper walls were a deal breaker.

It's a great place to stay when you have to wait a flight. It's right down the road from the air port. It's quiet and comfortable. They have a work out room perfect for your morning run.

Shuttle service was awful. They kept us waiting at the airport for more than 45 minutes. Then we called back again 3 more times, and the Front Desk said that the driver is on its way and to wait 25 more minutes. Staff looks very unprofessional with a tired and disconnected attitude. No uniforms. It seems like getting on a cheap motel from the street. Property and rooms are in good shape as typical from LaQuinta, but definitively LaQuinta has to do a lot with the staff and the provided service.

The shower drain did not drain, the toilet barely flushed, the sheets smelled of someone else's cologne and look used, the breakfast bar staff was rude, when I told the front desk, they just took notes, didn't offer any refund or anything. I have no idea how this is a 4+ star reviewed hotel. I couldn't be less grossed out.

Find a different hotel! We flew in for a one night stay. We called for the free shuttle advertised. We were told it would be 15-20 mins. We waited for over an hour. When I called the front desk again to let them know we were still waiting, the person on the phone offered to just cancel our reservation. This was not helpful or a real solution, since it was now 11 pm. When we finally made it to the hotel, we were disappointed by how old and dated the rooms were. Save yourself a headache and find a different hotel!

Pretty dingy hotel. Lots of wear and tear damage, apparently minimal upkeep. Looks more like an extended-stay motel once inside. Very thin walls/ceilings, heater clicked nonstop when turned on. Strange smell in hallways. Only redeeming qualities are decent fitness room (free weights) breakfast bar, although eggs are nasty (rehydrated/watery), and proximity to airport. Certainly doesn't deserve the rating it has on Google Maps.

Really awesome staff. Awesome room experience. Park your car as close as you can to the doors. Someone got our catalytic converter. Clean cut. That does not make the hotel deserve a low rating they where very helpful and refunded the money which they absolutely did not have to do. Sally at the front desk was great as well.

First of all this is a 2 star hotel the momen you walk in to this place you know you made a bad choice. The room are very outdated very old and it smells old as well. I don't recomend this if you have kids. The sheets are dirty and stained the Beds are old and hard on your body. Definitely not coming back.!!!

Horrible. The staff are nice and courteous although the maids are very loud early in the morning. We stayed at this La Quinta for two nights on our way home from Houston. The whole place reeked of a very strong cleaner and I got a sinus infection from it. The hall stunk of pet urine. The bed wasn't bad but the furniture in the room like the couch was probably 20 years old. When you sat down on it you sunk almost to the floor and your legs hit a board. There was a chair in the picture but there was no chair in the room. On the website it shows a pool but the pool has been filled in with gravel along with the hot tub. There is nowhere to eat within walking distance with the exception of a Burger King / gas station. I tried to buy a sandwich at the gas station but the clerk told me it was one or two weeks old. The Burger King has a very limited menu.

Booked the hotel and they immedietly canceled my reservation with no notification. When I showed up unaware, they charged me more for a different room than what I booked, with a shower that flooded and a toilet that ran. Then after being told the shuttle left at 5:30am, I was ready at 5:20 and found out the night shift worker was wrong and the shuttle had left 5 minutes prior, but I was welcome to wait an hour for the next one and miss my flight. Save your money and sanity and just sleep at the airport for a better experience

Room was clean and comfortable although somewhat dated. There were no vending machines except at the front desks and the Wi-Fi was very slow. Service desk was excellent and polite Decent place to jump off to IAH and was priced reasonably.

O my word, I don't usually review, however this time I feel I must. We choose this hotel because of it 24 shuttle and long term parking. Short story, loud all night, walls like paper, and she didn't book our 4 am shuttle so morning manager rudely told me to uber even though I had a whole conversation about needing the shuttle at check in and was told it is a 24 hr shuttle. She didn't put it on my paperwork so... nope no shuttle!!! Earlier on way to hotel I called to confirm my stay which I booked over the phone directly with them 2 weeks earlier, no confirmation email was sent, they told me no reservation. So then I spent an hour calling all the other laquintas panicked looking for who I booked with, checked my call log from 2 weeks prior, yup it was for sure them, called back and now I'm magically in the system reservation came up straight away. Room was so loud all night, someone down stairs was playing electric guitar loudly at 10 pm, and you can hear everyone walking in the halls, the ac unit I super bright lighting up the whole room all night. In the morning even after having a yes the shuttle will be here at 3:30 and 4 am it's every half hour 24 hours a day with the day clerk, got down stairs ready 15 min to 4 am and there's no shuttle, according to the night clerk the day clerk didn't note a shuttle needed so none was ordered.. A) I did ask for a shuttle 2 weeks prior when booking and at check in when I specified the importance of 4 am shuttle needed as I booked my car for the extended stay. B) you advertise a 24 hour shuttle, no where at anytime was I told they need to be ordered. And he was so rude!! So now I'm out another $16 for the uber I had to order last minute, thank goodness uber drivers are 25 hours. Won't stay here again, if I'm going to have to uber anyway I'll drop my car off at another long term parking lot for a much better price and get a better room, I went with them because of convenience and that proved so inconvenient.

Staff were outstanding. They were flexible and let us check out late. Breakfast was good. Rooms were ok. They were clean, but the entire hotel seemed musty. I don't know why, the carpets and floors seemed clean -- but maybe there was some residual from previous flooding? Our rate was reasonable--if we had paid more, then I might not have reviewed it as well.

This place is a scam, it is nothing like what you see in the photos, it should be a 2 star hotel, the rooms are too destroyed, it smells bad, it doesn't even have purified water in it, too expensive for what it is! please avoid going to this unpleasant place

The location and price aren't bad but we stayed at a La Quinta Inn two nights in a row; different locations, different owners. The difference was night and day. This one had some of the modern accents of the La Quinta standard but the facility itself is quite outdated and really needs a total renovation unfortunately. Just removing the old, stained carpet and putting tile or linoleum would have brought it up a whole star for me. Sub-par for a modern La Quinta.

My experience here was dismal as there were many issues with prices regarding what Expedia was listing and hotel refused to honor such as stay 2 get I free, advertised price Vs real and although admittedly Expedia was showing correctly I had to struggle through the app to try fix issues instead of being proactive. I'm elderly uncomfortable with technology so I packed up after paying $15.00 too much per day for 2 days losing the free day and paying for 4 additional days in a lesser quality local hotel, this is in addition to some amenities.

Great value and convenient location. The staff was friendly and our room was clean. Free airport shuttle and a decent breakfast included. This is not a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons, but this place is comfortable not snooty.

Clean, economical, airport shuttle service 24/7 (this was a biggie for us). Breakfast was meh. It's more like a 3 to 3.5 star place, but it suited our needs perfectly, and the staff was friendly.

Schuttle hard to arrange, slow response. Asked for quiet room, got room next to elevator. Which means they don't care about guest experience Can't open window room smelled of air freshener all night, disgusting.... No breakfast before 7am, obviously for their convenience. I won't support such establishments!

The matress and pillows were rock hard. The extra bed we asked with the reservation was not in the room when we arrived. It was brouhth after we called for it. The only thing we liked was the breakfast. It was more than we expected. Saved us to go somewhere else before leaving to the airport.

Great staff, from front desk, breakfast staff and very good cleaning staff. Have always stayed at La Quinta in the past, this location can expect my business in the future as along they continue the great service. The only thing is missing are in room safes for their visitors, maybe that could happen in the future.

(The front staff that attends you may not be bilingual.) This is important especially in USA since many people speak Spanish as well. Great hotel but badly understaffed probably because of the current hiring crisis or the ownership is not offering a fair wage. The staff isn't bad but you will find yourself in awkward situations while talking to some of them based on policy or communication errors so be understanding. The breakfast is satisfactory but they don't seem offer a breakfast to go option for travelers which is not hard to do if they have mini market section at the front desk. Also be warned if you choose to stay here without booking online or through credit/debit you must pay a $100 deposit. Please note this a common practice but a lot travelers don't know about policies like this. One final tip for travelers staying here if you take the shuttle they offer make sure you know what time it was set up for you and arrive 15 minutes before you leave.

The rooms weren't bad, but they advertise a pool they do not have. It's the main amenity we look for in our search so very disappointing to pay full price for false advertisement. Their website clearly shows a normal swimming pool yet, its filled with rocks and grass with no plans to even restore it. Please update or at least hang signs. We would have had no issues cancelling and looking elsewhere. But of course, they don't want to lose out on money so they just keep it hidden purposely.

I stayed because of a flight the next morning at Bush International Airport. They offer a spectacular 24 Hour Shuttle to the airport. You just need to inform the reception at what time. The drive is 7-12 minutes long. The receptionist was very attentive and helpful and even gave great recommendations such as codes to wave delivery fees of food on popular apps like Doordarsh. The room was very clean and smelled as such. Their fitness center is 24 Hours and was way better than I expected. Contains a good selection of dumbells, bench, and cable machinery. Even treadmills Did not eat breakfast but it is available along with complimentary coffe also 24 Hours and fruit. (Apples and oranges) I would stay again for a different flight.

Great stay! We stay here every time when we are in Houston. Location is close to deerbrook mall and fm 1960 with lots of restraunts. Dont let location fool you when u get there u will only see a Shell and Burger King but mall and restraunts are a 5 minute uber ride away. Its minutes from the airport terminals too and there is a 24 hrs shuttle. We have gotten to know ownership and management Sukant and Minal and front desk Manager Cary are the best and go out of their way to accommodate you! Housekeeping is great too and pay attention to detail on cleanliness on the rooms especially with covid right now. 5 stars accross the board!!! Thank you and see u in about 5 to 6 months on our next visit!!!!

Rooms are a nice size and proximity to airport is good. Had a mold smell on 3rd floor and furniture was a bit beat up in our suite but it was clean. You get what you pay for with this hotel.

Large room with king size bed. Comfortable😊 We flew to Cancun and left our truck in their parking and forgot to close front window. So we got a message from the front desk to let us know they had covered our window. Very responsible hotel. Recommend it highly. Guest at LA QUINTA INN & SUITS

Not bad rooms. The desk is a good size and has much better lighting than most hotels. There is no food though; the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. There is a gas station in the corner with a tiny Burger King. Not much of a business center but at least you can print boarding passes. I do like that they have breakfast. I would rather be at the LA Quinta on JFK which is close to a restaurant. This hotel is done if you have a car.

Had room available on short notice. Flight was cancelled. Also have free airport shuttle. Was about 5-10 mins to terminal. Continental breakfast included. Small fitness room. Very nice hotel for about $75/ night. Pleasantly surprised.
