ELEVATORS DONT WORK. HAIR IN BATHTUB. ONE STAFF AT DESK WAS RUDE. (The other stuff were nice, though.) Walking up and down the stairs several times a day sucked. We were not notified about the elevators not working. We were there for 2 nights and not a single maintenance person working on it, so it seems like it's out for a good while. Spend your money somewhere else.

I think this place is badly in need of renovation. I didn't thoroughly research this location before choosing it. Furniture in my room were a mixture of cheap and worn items, e.g. the desk chair was peeling. The microwave was rusty. The freezer box in the mini fridge was too frosty, and the mini fridge was smaller than what I wanted or would have expected. The bathroom had a shower stall rather than a bathtub. While I did register to stay alone, I didn't expect the room to only come with 2 sets of towels. The building interior seemed older. The breakfast was a joke. The first morning I visited the dining area, I observed oatmeal packets but was informed that there were no bowls. I was told to use a coffee cup. Only one type of fruit was available. There were limited selections for cold cereal. No yogurt was available. Front desk service was fine. I chose to stay here on my first trip to Houston to spend time with others visiting town and think I would opt to stay in Uptown or downtown next time. From this experience, I also learned that La Quinta has a wide range in quality, so I will be more careful when choosing to stay at this chain in the future unless I'm staying at a location that I know or can confirm is up to my expectations.

i’ve been twice. the first time, the man was very nice and i had no problems whatsoever checking in. the second time around i received the worst front desk service i’ve ever had and i’ve been to a lot of hotels. made a reservation online and requested late check in because i was not going to make it by midnight. when i got there, the front desk lady told me that my reservation had been cancelled because they all cancel after midnight, and it was 12:30. this was a bit peculiar to me but she told me they had an available room so i took it with no complaints (later, upon receiving an email about the cancellation, i found out it was actually cancelled because i’d used the wrong card for the payment online and it had declined. which is obviously my fault but why tell me it was because i was late?). i pay for the room, no problem. swipe my card. THEN, after i had already paid for the room, the lady asked for my ID and upon reading that i was 19 not only told me that i couldn’t stay there (despite me having stayed there before also by myself with no issues) but also was quite rude in her way of asking me to leave. I AM YET TO GET MY MONEY BACK for a room i never even saw, and i slept in my rental car that night since it was too late to get another hotel. i know sometimes hotels will require you to be 21 to stay there, but i’ve stayed at many different la quinta’s in different cities and states and have never had a problem checking in by my lonesome. i’m young but i work full time and live alone and i can tell when i’m being slighted. i was nothing but nice and apologetic to this lady considering it WAS 12:30 am but i was not given the same kindness in return.

Very bad, elevator was broken for a long time, $100 deposit, slow refund. Booked online to pay for room, front desk clerk charged twice because she forgot to charge from online booking platform. The room was very bad, broken chairs, a bathroom that had been through WWII, had more than three people's hair on the bed and table. Make sure you do not book this hotel.

Here are the things that either broken or not working appropriately during my stay: 1. Main door has big gap, I saw the hallway lights & heard all the noise through it. 2. Faucet leaking water dripping down. 3. No heater, need to requested for a portable one. 4. The bathroom door makes noises when opening and I had to pulled really hard in order to have it closed. 5. There’s just a few items for breakfast so I didn’t eat and asked for a tea bag but they have none! My first experience ever from a hotel can’t even afford a tea bag for customer 😂! 6. And yes, the Elevator is still not working! Paid $175 for 2 nights. My first and also last time here!

Breakfast was ok. Rooms smelled musty so they brought us some Lysol spray. There were roaches in the dresser drawer and in bathroom.Elevator was broken the entire stay and we were on the second floor. We went to the pool and it said open at 9am. We went to front to ask and the young lady said she had to wait for permission to unlock the door to access the pool ..it never happened. Overall stay was poor. Won't stay again.

This hotel was nice a couple of years ago. The room was ok. The service desk was professional and helpful. I didn't like the dust on the lamps and having two phones in the room which one if them didn't work and the other I could barely hear on. Called to see why our remote didn't work for our TV. Had to manually change the channel from back of the TV. Otherwise not too bad.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Elevator wasn’t working for the time we spent, had to take staircases with heavy bags. Breakfast was horrible -microwave scrambled eggs, dried potato and smelly sausages. Our room had an office chair with torn seat. No daily housekeeping unless you keep requesting every day. All back and side entry doors would not allow re-entry into the building, as card access does not work for these door (broken).

We visted from Sunday evening (Jun 18) until Saturday morning (Jun 24). We specifically chose this hotel because it was pet-friendly and because, although it was a 2-star hotel, it had a pool. My husband was here on business but we decided to tag along because kiddos were on summer vacation. Environment: The hotel is designed to have NO side entry (i.e. only entry access is through the main lobby which remains unlocked all throughout the night). Side doors can be used as exits only. Because our room was on the third level, we parked near the main lobby to have easy access to the elevator. Unfortunately, it was out of order for our entire stay. This made for a long walk because we had to enter through main lobby, go all the way to the side of the building to access the stairs, go up the 2 flights, and then walk back towards the center of the building for our room. We had to make several trips back and forth, after what had already been a long travel day for us, so you can imagine how exhausting this was. The pool was closed our entire stay because the Health Department had shut it down. I didnt see any changes during our stay, so I'm not sure the hotel is trying to reopen this area. The hotel is supposed to be pet-friendly but I think this only means you can bring your pet. The front desk directed me to the side of the building, for the "designated pet area", which had no lighting and extremely overgrown grass. Unfortunately, most hotel guests don't pick up after their pets. After having spoke to the front desk, I started using the grass next to popeyes and noticed it was clean from loads but not from trash. For the remainder of our stay, this is the area we used for our dog, on leash. Breakfast area is kept clean. They put out a variety of food. I was surprised that this 2-star hotel had scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, and breakfast potatoes. They are also open later than most hotels (until 9am M-F, later on weekends). All utensils/napkins/plates are put away once breakfast is over. Therefore, if you order take-out, during your stay, be sure to get utensils from take-out restaurant. Rooms are fairly clean, considering pets have been in the rooms. They do provide a microwave and small fridge with no freezer section. Hotel is in a safe-enough area. K-9 officers were in the lobby most nights, shooting the breeze with the hotel staff. I assume this is their rest area. Service: When I asked if the designated pet area could be cut, the front desk said they had recently cut the grass and it was an unorthodox request from me to ask if they can recut it. He did mention that no one picks up after their pets. This tells me that they know it's an on-going issue and have not done anything to fix it. His solution was to allow my dog to relieve herself anywhere there was grass, even at the front. Why have so much signage if they are not going to enforce what is posted? He also said he would speak to his manager but I don't think he ever did. When I followed up with him, he always seemed to have a reason why he hadnt gotten around to it. One time he said he had to deal with "real" issues all day long. After day 3, I stopped following up with him because I found the popeyes grass area for my dog. The grass did get cut on Friday, which tells me that the staff are not aware of the grass-cutting schedule. Especially because the grass was very overgrown, when I asked, so it made no sense for the employee to say the grass had recently got cut. Breakfast team is not consistent. There is one lady that works Monday and Tuesday who puts out a pitcher of water. The lady that comes the rest of the week does not. I had to ask for water and she would fill up my cup (8oz because that is what they put out). I drink lots of water and I felt uncomfortable having to ask for my cup to be filled more than once. She never thought to put out the pitcher of water for the guest. Housekeeping does not clean rooms daily, unless a request is made. Overall, if you need a place to sleep (no pool or pet area access), this is a good place for you.

We came here a few days back since our A/C went out. The front desk ladies were down right horrible, first the elevator didn't work. We get to the room there was no extra blankets or pillows for the pull out bed and the TV wasn't working and when we called down to the front desk they answered the phone we told them the issue she literally just hung up the phone. When we went downstairs to ask what's going on we find the maintenance man and front desk woman sitting laughing at our situation. They hopped up pretty quickly when they realized we could here them and that's when they made sure to actually to do their job. You staff on that day was just terrible

I picked this hotel because it was close to the places I wanted to go. I went to the gym but only to find out the gym equipment was broken. The pool is closed for maintenance but looks like it has been closed awhile now. The room looked better in pictures than in person. I think I’d rather stay at Holiday Inn or Comfort Inn. This hotel wasn’t cheap neither. It’s about the same price for Comfort Inn and Holiday Inn.

1/5 If this hotel was any great, it would've definitely boosted my Houston vacation experience, but sadly it was quite disappointing. Service: I would like to start with the front desk service, it did not feel positive at all, though there were some nice workers, it was not the best. Room: The room was awful. I didn't quite understand what was going on with room service because there was a paper that said if you wanted room service you'd have to alert the front desk beforehand, but in the room, they had a sticker that said guests that were staying for more than one night, workers would clean the room every three days, unless told other wise. I stayed for five nights and did not see my sheets or anything get changed on the third night whatsoever, which I feel is the bare minimum for staying at a place that many others stay at. This, was not that big of a deal though, what was worse was the quality of the room. The chair was ripped and the bathtub was scratched up and fading to black, as well as the door. It seemed the room was old and I hope that they did clean it every now and then even when there weren't any guests because I don't know what was up with the sheets, but it caused me and my family, who were sharing a room, to all have hives. It just made all our skin incredibly itchy. What is also annoying is the bathroom door because it wasn't hinged properly, so when it closed it would scrape against the wall, leaving the door paint to be faded and broken. Every time you opened it, it made a loud noise and it would close automatically, which also made a noise. Closing the door was difficult, you'd have to pull it in very hard. Amenities: They did include breakfast, it was not bad, but don't expect so much. In the workout room, nothing worked besides the treadmill. The elevator was broken as well as the first floor ice machine. Location: The only thing good about the place, to me, is the distance to where I wanted to go during the day. It was a close drive to Belaire, which was convenient for me.

I have to say I had the worst experience ever. I always stay at a LaQuinta when traveling and I read reviews before booking and the reviews were satisfactory. First off the elevators were not working in which they did state on the app, but I informed them ahead of time if possible I needed a lower level room. Well when we checked in they gave a room on the 3rd floor so walking up several flights of stairs wasn’t in my plan. I asked if there was anything else available and they said no. I went ahead and kept the room thankfully my son was able to help me get up and down the stairs. The 3rd floor air in the hallway was not working so it was extremely hot so by the time I got to my room I was exhausted and saw a roach crawling over the outside door. We checked our room and didn’t see any but informed of the issue. First night was ok, the breakfast wasn’t the best. The second night the air in our room wasn’t cooling and we woke up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat so I called several times to the front desk and no answer so I had to walk downstairs and no one was at the counter at all. I attempted to write out a note to leave and eventually someone came and since they didn’t have another room like the one we booked they gave us separate rooms. One of the rooms my daughter saw 2 roaches crawling on the dresser and we had to call back down and have them find us another room. The attendant did and we were able to rest and try to enjoy the rest of our stay. The checkout was the worst I have ever experienced. The attendant was helping a young lady and I assume they didn’t have her info in the system, so about 5 people and myself were waiting in line to check out and she didn’t say not one word to any of us to even say she will be right with us. Then we were gathering all our bags from the room and was rushed out. I was so upset and really didn’t like my experience at this location at all.

I am starting to realize why some people find it disappointing. When I walk at the hotel hallway at the second floor, the room ceiling ventilation is dirty, and I can see some dust. It is not a good sign. Meanwhile when I enter the hotel room, the bed is nice and comfy. However, I notice at the upper wall has an open electrical socket. There is your answers there because that's where the cockroaches come from that wall. Not to mention other bugs if what some people say. Where's the maintenance? Add an electrical outlet wall plate, this will fix all the problem to avoid cockroaches or bed bugs in the hotel. I find it also disappointing elevator is not working. How long was it there? What if you have a customer disability with a wheelchair and how will that person go to second floor? That's my main concern. All in all, the staff members were friendly but why are they not calling maintenance? Please think this through and do not lose customers. Either way, this Inn was just ok for me, and I sleep well for 2 nights. The breakfast is great with eggs, cereal, milk, orange juice. If you are looking for ice machine then you have to walk at the end of hotel hallway.

Their room is clean. Good customer service.Good price for that location. However the chair in the room is not in good condition, the skin of the chair almost comes out. I spent three days in there, the elevator has not been repaired until I left. The central air conditioning is not working properly, your room ac should be good.

Had a big group in front me. So I was in line for a while. The guy at the front was apologetic about it, and laid back and very informative. My room/floor was quiet. My room had a funny smell though. Some of the linens had stains on them, the AC didn’t work well at all. Even when I turned it down to the coolest temperature. Other than that…it was cozy.

All was good except the last day Monday 11/21 breakfast was nothing: no bread, little of cold ham and cold uncooked potatoes which was say a hot breakfast. We checked out with the hungry stomachs. We knew and saw non guests went out with a full plate of breakfast the other day. So many guests were upset not only me. Your hotel was full no vacancy so should care about guests if you don’t like a not busy hotel .

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!! I WISH I COULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! WE WERE PUT OUT BECAUSE THEIR HOTEL WAS FILTHY AND HAD ROACHES! I NEVER EXPERIENCED A RESERVATION BEING CANCELED BY A HOTEL THAT WAS NOT AT CAPACITY DUE TO A SHORT COMING ON THEIR END and I've worked as a front desk agent for 5+ years. Came to stay at this hotel for the weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday. She invited additional friends along which they booked their own separate reservation. Upon arrival the room seemed to be in order, however after further inspection I noticed a dirty pillow case behind the lamp. I've worked in the hotel and tourism industry for many years and understand things happen so I let it go. However, a short time later I noticed a roach crawl from under the picture frame in the room. While trying to inspect to see where it came from I. also noticed a hole in the wall next to the lamp. At this point we were extremely uncomfortable and reasonably upset. My friend who booked the reservation goes to the front desk to speak with Joe. Instead of solving the problem he ask what does she want to do? Get her money back or change rooms but to be advised he's not going to keep changing rooms if we see another roach. I then approached the front desk and asked are they able to put in a request for the exterminator and/or spray the current or even new room to ensure this doesn't happen. Joe then proceeds to place a receipt on the counter stating the room has already been refunded and we are free to go?! WHAT?!!! You refund and cancel. our reservation based on an issue AT YOUR HOTEL!! Then Joe threatens to cancel the room for the other people in town to celebrate. He then calls his manager who does not seem to care to even speak to us or resolve the problem. We never at any point asked to be refunded or for our reservation to be canceled all we wanted was to be comfortable and at no point did this hotel attempt to accommodate us or make us comfortable. I called the following Monday to get in touch with the General Manger Leonard and once again spoke with Joe who stated he would transfer me to his voicemail and instead hung up on me. DO NOT STAY at this hotel. I happily packed my bags and took my money to the Fairfield Marriott 1.5 miles away. Much better service and way cleaner facilities and amenIties. AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST!!!

I had bedbug bites all over my body just for one night stay!!! The hotel stated they just had pest control a few days ago can’t believe it! General manager was not responding until calling him again and again and refunded our stay. Very disappointed and frustrated. Don’t stay there!!

Don’t pay too much to stay here. Everything is old and a little grimy. Okay service but nothing special. Free complimentary breakfast, but the yogurt was expired and some of the other food was sketchy. Alright place to stay if your traveling on the cheap.

There is an employee there named Dylphenna, she’s amazing! Such a kind person and she went over and beyond to help. Thanks for your hospitality Dylphenna!!! Beside the room being smelly, overall a good bang for your buck. P.S I felt protected because there is also security!!! He secured the Parking lot and the gates close after certain hours

Location, customer service & accommodation all would get 6 stars of there were. Jose on the front desk was extremely friendly and worked out a situation that arose due to hotel over booking with a smile. Unlike most hotels in the area there was No weed smell in the elevators and corridors. Would definitely come back.
