At the national garden complex (باغ ملی), this museum is highly recommended for a visit as the exterior and interior design and architecture are very unique from the other buildings in the complex. No reservations or tickets, at least when I visited in Nov). They have lockers for your personal items at the entrance. In one room, they have a gallery outlining THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF PERSIA/Iran! Really gives you a big picture of Middle East in the past 3000 years!

Malek National Museum and Library[1] (Persian: کتابخانه و موزه ملی ملک) is a museum and national library in Tehran, Iran. Malek National Library and Museum Institution (MNLMI) is the first private museum of Iran, and one of the 6 large libraries holding the exquisite manuscripts. The MNLMI collection is a rich trove of the best manuscripts and Iranian historical artworks. The Institution is located in the historical precinct of “Bagh-e Melli”, that is considered the cultural-historical center of Tehran. Usually, the MNLM visitors are numerous university students and researchers, as well as tourists who enjoy its library and museum facilities. It is one of the biggest libraries of precious manuscripts in Iran, built by Hadji Hussein Agha Malek, the richest man in Iran at the time. He built it in a traditional Persian architecture style. One of the biggest contributors is Esat Malek Malek, Hadji Hussein Agha Malek's eldest daughter, who contributed to the museum's development.

Malek Museum is one of the most spectacular places in Tehran, which is located in the historical context of this city. Malek National Library and Museum is considered a valuable cultural place in the capital of our country, which was established in 1316 by a person named Hossein Agha Malek, and then it was dedicated to Astan Quds Razavi and currently it is managed under the direct supervision of Astan Quds Razavi. The distinctive and praiseworthy feature of this valuable cultural and historical collection is the presence of unique and rare objects in it. When you visit Malek Museum, you can watch 3 thousand years of history and culture of Islam and Iran and experience an exciting journey in the history of our country.

This place has different parts such as a coin collection of historical periods of Iran , some national and international stamp collections, historical books, some of paint works of Kamal Almolk and a library. Also its cost is cheap. In addition, it is in nice historical place of Tehran.

Nothing to show, waste of time, even the architecture of building has nothing to impress you. You can save your time by visiting Iran Bastan and Abgine museum in that neighborhood.

Beautiful museum. It's got an amazing history behind it: There was this billionare living in Tehran about 200 hundred years ago, and he decides to put everything he got for public benefit. Then he gives away all the stores and houses he had, to build up a money resource for maintaining the things he gave away before. There's a great library and a nice museum to visit.
