Entrance fee for foreigner is 1M IRR. The whole place especially the church is beautiful and full of history, even though it is smaller than I expected. I recommend this attraction to everyone coming to Isfahan.

(Translated by Google) The largest and most famous church in Iran; Vank Church is one of the most attractive sights of Isfahan and is one of the most beautiful churches in Iran, which was built by the Armenians of the Julfa region of Isfahan during the reign of Shah Abbas II. During the reign of Shah Abbas Safavid, on his orders, a group of Armenians moved to the Julfa area of Isfahan to escape persecution by the Ottomans; After settling in Isfahan, the Armenians decided to establish several religious and social centers, as a result of which the Vank Church was built. The construction of this church, also known as Amena Perkich Church, began in 1655 AD (1034 AD) and ended in 1664 AD (1043 AD). The beautiful Wank Church has various sections such as a library, office building, green space and a museum, and a tall tower stands out at the entrance of the church; There is also a large clock on the second floor of the tower, which was donated to the church by Mardiros Hordanian in 1931. As you enter the church, spectacular paintings on the walls and ceilings fascinate you; These spectacular paintings, which can be seen in all parts of the building, are each related to an event and narration, and from the beginning of the birth of Jesus Christ to the Day of Resurrection and heaven and hell, which is taken from the Christian heavenly book, the Bible. Is. The gilding and gilding of this church is unparalleled in its kind and can nail you in place for hours. The dome of Vank Church is similar to the dome of Iranian mosques, which can be interesting for any tourist, especially foreign tourists. In addition, two bell towers can be seen in this church that ring at certain times of the day. The Wank Church Museum is one of the places you should visit when visiting Wank and see objects such as manuscripts, unique paintings by European and Armenian artists, metal, wooden, pottery, etc. handicrafts. Vank Church is located in the heart of the historical fabric of Jolfa, and next to it you can visit Jolfa Square and other churches in this area.

Surprisingly Iran is quite welcoming to many religion. Case in point is this beautiful Armenian cathedral right in the middle of Esfahan. A true historical gem in its own right albeit a fairly small cathedral . The inner sanctum has that Byzantine feel to it with ornate wall painting brilliantly preserved till today. Next to the cathedral is a modern building that housed a museum displaying the history of the Armenian Church in Iran..heaps of artifacts to wet the appetite of the history buff..

A true gem!!! The Vank Church is one of the most beautiful and largest churches in the Jolfa vicinity of Esfahan. Its gilded ceiling, interior section of the dome and fine historical paintings are matchless. Internally, the walls are adorned with oil paintings that are also gilded similar to that of Iranian art. Religious paintings revealing an Italian touch can be observed here. The founder of this structure was Shah Soltan Hossain Safavid. Highly recommended!!!

Paints in the catedral are very beautiful. And also colours of the paints are again gergeous and so so vivid. Also there is a museum near the cathedral. You can see a text sentence written in the hair of a small child with a microscope. It is very impressive to see that. It is written in Farsi.

Kelisa-ye Vank (also referred to as the Cathedral of All Saviors) is the most important architectural and artistic treasure of the Armenian Christians in Esfahan. The grounds surrounding the Cathedral comprise administrative sections, a museum and a library. The two-storey building of the museum houses antiquities relating mainly to the history of the Armenians in Julfa. Take your time and enjoy your visit.

One of the most marvelous attractions Isfahan is Vank Cathedral that you can visit while you spend time in Jolfa, Isfahan. inside the cathedral the exterior brick decoration and a dome on top of the church catch your eyes. The dome resembles that of an Iranian mosque, though not tiled. Inside the church, the interior tilework, gold work and paintings welcome visitors passionate about exploring Iranian, Latin and Russian art at the same time

(Translated by Google) The church is beautiful. Of course, when we left, it was so crowded that the interior could not be used well. Inside the church there are interesting paintings. The exterior of the church bears little resemblance to what we have in mind from the church, and is more like a mosque. A building with a large spherical dome. The church grounds are the graves of several old priests whose tombstones are also spectacular. In another part of this collection, there is a museum, part of which is a memorial to the Armenian genocide by the Ottoman Turks, and the other part is related to the history of the Armenian presence in Iran. One of the most spectacular cases is the Safavid emperors' orders to their rulers to respect the lives and property of Armenians.

Oldest and biggest cathedral in Isfahan. The structure is like a Islamic building from out side and there is no decoration on the dump. But when you go inside you can see the most beautiful painting between Isfahan cathedrals. There is a museum there you can learn a lot about Armenian culture and how they live in an Islamic country. The entrance fee for Iranian was 100,000 rial and for non Iranian it was 500,000 Rial.

Vank Cathedral is considered as one of the oldest Iran’s Armenian churches which was constructed during the Safavid Empire in the 17th century and is especially distinguished due to its artistic architecture combining Armenian Christian and Iranian Islamic elements and components. Beside the rich, artistic tile work and paintings of the interior and the central dome of the church, the museum of this cathedral, showcasing many distinctive artifacts from the history of the cathedral and the Armenian community in Isfahan such as European paintings, embroidery, and other treasures remaining from the community’s legacy, as well as a writing on the hair done with diamond displaying a religious text, attracts many tourists to this place to explore and enjoy its beauties.

The cathedral was established in 1606, built by the hundreds of thousands of Armenians that were forcibly resettled by Shah Abbas I in his new capital as part of his scorched-earth policy in Armenia during the Ottoman War of 1603-1618.[1] The varying fortunes and independence of this suburb across the Zayande River and its eclectic mix of European missionaries, mercenaries and travelers can be traced almost chronologically in the cathedral's combination of building styles and contrasts in its external and internal architectural treatment.

Although it is very austere on the outside, once you enter you can not imagine what you will find. It is impressive, its walls and ceilings are full of paintings illustrating the Old and New Testaments, as well as lives of the saints. The entrance costs 500,000 rials and with it, in addition to the Church, you can see an Armenian anthropological museum and a small memorial of the 1915 genocide. It is very interesting not to be missed. (Translated by Google) Cathedral Vank is located in the Armenian Quarter of Jolfa. Vank Cathedral (Kelisa-yé Vank) was built between 1606 and 1655. The paintings inside the church are in very good condition and depict events in the Bible. Some paintings represent torture and they are in the strongest team. A huge mural depicts heaven and hell and after seeing that painting you do best to be a kind person. Outside the church is a tall bell tower. Also pay a visit to the museum located in the area. The museum contains i.a. a printing press from 1841, old books and Bibles, jewelery and old Armenian clothing. What I found most interesting was a painting by Rembrant (!) And what is said is the world's smallest book with hymns in different languages, including "Our Father" in Swedish. In a microscope you could look at a hair with a bible verse inscribed, absolutely incredible! Someone must have been very restless. In part of the museum there were photographs and short film sequences from the Turkish massacre of an estimated 1.5 million Armenians between the years 1915 to 1921. The massacre started on April 24, 1915 and every year this date is celebrated on this day with large demonstrations and thousands of Armenians gather around a memorial site on the church grounds.

(Translated by Google) A very valuable and spectacular place The building, which is still active and a center for worship and religious practices, has a magnificent museum next to it. In the museum of Vanak Church in Isfahan, very valuable works are kept, each of which is a long historical narrator. Perhaps one of the most famous of these is the Taramo, on which a passage from the Torah is engraved and which you can see under a microscope.

This place is amazing... The paintings are fabulous, wish there was someone to explain about them though.. I enjoyed every moment there and of course in my next trip i'll visit this church again🤗 Entrance fee in september 2020 was 100000 rial per person.
