Can't believe I've never stopped by. Really delicious food; the portions are great for the price. You can really tell that quality matters to the kitchen. Service was perfect - attentive but not overbearing. We'll be back!

Punch drunk love cocktail 🍸 was good. The food was okay. Tad over priced in my opinion, for a $45 steak and fries that was kinda lackluster. Perfectly cooked but not much flavor. The salmon was alright as well. Again cooked great, but nothing really special. Thank you for the experience.

Great service. Food is good. Ambiance is prety, but a little dark.

I have been going here for years and the food has never disappointed me always A+. Amazing food and drinks was very flavorful. It was my first time on the rooftop so relaxing.3 floors of greatness and the bread from here is fresh and always soft and delicious. will continue going here until I can't go anymore. Also Brunch here is a blast.

Straight American brunch place. Super interesting Americana deco. Serving size is pretty large and their biscuits are served warm with whipped butter and jam. Had a hair baked into one of my biscuits, but the waiter promptly swapped out the entire bucket. Recommend their breakfast sandwich and eggs Benedict.

Not sure what happened to this place but upon my first time returning post pandemic I was disappointed with my brunch there. Food was disappointing but the drinks were fine. Ordered a steak and eggs dish that didn't contain steak (seemed like beef stew) and a skillet beef sandwich that was so dry I could barely swallow without water. And no more muffin baskets! Was a sad meal unfortunately

Love this place!! We decided to make the climb to the rooftop. So quaint. Excellent service! Great wine selection. And wonderful vegetarian options! Started off with fried avocado and olives and then I had a vegan scallop sandwich. Absolutely delicious. Wonderful place. I cannot wait to go back when I'm in town again.

Me and my wife went for an early dinner. The server was pretty dry and direct with little personality but he wasn’t bad. We had the Beef Brisket potato rounds, Cauliflower Steak and Brisket Sandwich. Everything was properly cooked, being just a tad under seasoned all around. Nothing bad about the experience but it didn’t impress us and with the slew of restaurants near Grove, nothing makes this place be the #1 choice. I hear the rooftop bar is the highlight but I didn’t get to see that this trip.

Impromptu night out and found this gem that's been in the neighborhood for 15yrs. Abdul was a wonderful server. The food was AMAZING Kudos to the chef. I hope they are there the next time I go for a consistent meal experience. Drinks were well balanced. Had the warm drink on a cold night by the fireplace near the table. I will be back for sure!

Rude staff and bad management. Didn't even end up eating here and I suggest you don't either. We made a 8:15 reservation on a Friday night. At 8:23 I received a phone call from the hostess asking if we are still coming. She had a rude accusing tone in her voice. I said we were down the street and will be there in a minute. This was so surprising to me since any other restaurant I've been to gives a 15 min grace period. We arrived and the place was hot and packed. No one wearing masks not even the servers. We asked about restaurant week menu and was told that's not on Friday and Saturday. I said your website and the jersey city restaurant week website does not specify dates. They refused to honor it so we walked out.

Where do I start.... Loved this place from looking on the menu (didn't love that the only way to reserve was through the current system and not additional options, but that's just my preference), arrived and it was a homey feel, the decor was very eclectic on the rooftop. Loved the rooftop garden that was used for drinks. I was very happy with our service as well as the food and vibe. Also, I loved seeing that the patrons had a wonderful variety of ethnicities! Will definitely be returning! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

It is a good place to hangout, with good ambiance and decent food, just make sure you head upstairs. Pancakes are amazing, although other food items are not so great. Not too friendly staff. Also, there are not many options for vegans. The vegan crab pancake was not cooked properly and I can taste the raw batter.

The perfect bar experience. Good, low music, dimly lit, small and cozy, traditional high-end cocktails, refined cuisine. Perfect for a solo night out, date, small meetup. What you want in a classic bar.

Awesome drinks and apps. We asked the bartender (Laurie) to make her special and she made us a mango with jalapeño infused margarita and it was delicious. We also liked the polenta with chef special vodka based dressing

I came here a year ago and really enjoyed it. I came back again yesterday and it was a completely different experience. The host was pretty rude to me and told me I had to wait 20 min even though there was an open table. I went outside to wait and 10 min later my friend went in to ask her about the open table. The host said it would another 20 min wait. My friend said there are three open tables and then we finally got seated but she was very rude to me and kept lying about the time. It made me feel like she didn’t want me to dine there for some reason. The food took 40 min to come out and we were so hungry. It took so long we devoured the very mediocre tasting food. The waiter was really nice but that’s about it.

Parking is very difficult but you have to be persistent and allow enough time. Our Server was Alexia. She was so patient with our many questions. Everyone is so nice there. Cozy feel. Rooftop was closed but that’s ok. Party of 4. I had a pasta dish which was good, similar to fettuccine Alfredo. I thought the price was a bit high for it. But ok. The fries I stole from my husband with the truffle sauce was addictive. Drinks were strong which I enjoyed. An autumntuni & smoked Manhattan. Creme brûlée was fab. As well as the apple crisp. My husband and brother in law had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. My sister has the chicken and she loved it. I Highly recommend.

The food was pretty surprising, given the interesting menu. We had the sliders which were a little too greasy for our liking but, delicious mushrooms and shoestring fries. We also had the steak fries and the steak was well seasoned and cooked right. The truffle mayonnaise and the barbecue sauce were delicious albeit with a little too much rosemary. Our hostess Natalia was wonderful and extremely welcoming. We're definitely coming back!

Skinners lofts. It’s a place you never just wanna walk bye you must go in here and experience the incredible food yourself my go to is the pan seared French cut chicken. It is immaculate taste to plating. The entire staff are very friendly, extremely courteous and make sure to pay attention to every detail, whoever is in the kitchen is working, some magic back there and me and my daughter absolutely love to eat here. They make incredible salmon as well. Call me a combination of the service as well as food is all that’s needed thank you guys for being a great part of Jersey City.

Love this place. We usually go to the second floor as it is more private, but during summer they have rooftop as an option. Overall atmosphere is very soft. Food is good, especially appetizers. They have a lip of vegetarian options. Drinks are ok, nothing special.

Came here on our trip to NJ, wasn't disappointed. Nice atmosphere, chilled jazz music and a very welcoming barman who only works on a Sunday! Didn't catch his name, but he did understand our accent on his love of watching Shetland! lol. He was extremely friendly, chatty and made our holiday!! We didn't try the food, but the couple next to us was very complimentary on what they ordered. If your looking for a nice local bar with a chilled atmosphere, then I'd definitely recommend here. Especially on a Sunday when you get the chance to chat with the man behind the bar! Very interesting guy. 👌

Delicious! We came here for a Sunday brunch and both the tostada and breakfast sandwich were delicious. The little muffins they bring to your table were such a nice (and tasty) touch as well! The atmosphere is trendy and fun too.

One of my favorites in Jersey City. Lovely gastropub with a throwback interior (dark wood bar, tin ceiling), excellent food, curated drink menu, and great service.

I this restaurant you have have some drinks in the bar area First floor, or you can go to the second floor in a so nice ambience restaurant to have a great dinner with friends and family. The restaurant is located in old fashion building with a good renovation. I had a dinner with my boyfriend yesterday and all the plates were delicious. Highly recommended Steak Fries…

We went to Skinner's Loft during Brunch and got some of the best food of our trip. I ordered the Pork Belly with Fried Egg which I switched to scrambled along with most of my traveling companions. It was delicious!!! We also had fresh fruit for the table and they bring you biscuits with little jars of jelly and butter. Everything was amazingly good! We ate at their outdoor seating, so I am not sure what the restaurant looks like inside, but the food is spectacular. If you can drop in for a meal, do so!

Nice atmosphere. Service was friendly. The presentation and overall quality of the food was ok. The gnocchi at its current price is not worth it. Chopped salad w/grilled chicken was good. Should it have been $25, nah.

Phenomenal food experience. We were a party of 4. We ordered the Buffalo chicken spring rolls, burgers, steak, brisket, pasta and the apple crumble dessert. Everything was cooked perfectly, the meat was melting in our mouth and everything was delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

Great food, ambience, service! Fantastic communication for a party of 17 who enjoyed celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday dinner!! The GM manager William is so helpful and always available to answer questions. Thrilled to have found this jewel.

I was a little apprehensive at first about giving my card info to make reservation but not a biggie. I wasn’t planning on cancelling anyways. They validate parking at the lot on Christopher Columbus which was a huge plus, especially in jersey city. We were greeted very warmly and promptly walked to our table. The server was sweet. Most importantly, the food was delicious. The ambiance is dimmed lights and relaxed. I have not one complaint. Love it and we will be coming back.

Skinner's is the go to for where we take friends from elsewhere to show them JC has great places. The menu rotates but always includes at least one option for vegetarians. Sunday brunch is the best, but I've never had a bad meal here. The mac and cheese isn't always on the menu, but when it is the best anywhere.
