the worst experience I had on the indian street. There are lot of things that went wrong at this place. 1st the plates that were placed for dinner were broken, which could have led to bleeding. I asked the manager to change them and he did it in polite manner. The food here was the main concern from quality and quantity respective. I have ordered egg biryani and it turned out to be veg Biryani with 2 boiled eggs and that was big disappointment for me. Even my fellow mates who had joined me for dinner faced same issue with their order. I do not encourage anyone to visit this restaurant. Its not worth of money that you pay. In any other restaurant the final check would be around 40-45$ but here the total cost was 75$. Big NO NO from me...

Best Schezwan Rice I had in the US. It was too good. Fried was just fine. Gobi Manchurian could have been better. Chicken tandoori and Chicken lollypops were delicious. We tried jackfruit it was something new and different had good taste. We had goat paya soul and hot and sour soup. Paya soup was good but hot and sour soup was not good. We also tried mango lassi it was good too. Loved the Schezwan Fried rice and Chicken lollypop would love to visit again. Service was quick and the staff was polite.

Sorry about writing a bad review . Completely disappointed with your deccan special biryani. Never ever will get any food from your restaurant. I had just 10% of biryani and thrown rest in the garbage. You guys charging like a huge amounts why don’t make customers happy with some taste. Waste of my money with empty stomach.

The food is good. Service also is good . This restaurant is a lot space. We went in Friday night due to other restaurants were busy but only here empty. We ordered three main courses. Samosa in other restaurants only $5 dollars here charged $9.99 We have been visited this area and order same type food so many times. This restaurant only provide bottle water ( yes not free) And rice charged 1.99 per order. To be honest, the price is higher than Manhattan. It isn’t a fancy restaurant but prices is fancy . I can got same prices food in Manhattan. I finally understand why dose the restaurant is always empty during peak hours. Because the prices isn’t reasonable. Actually the food is good . I can understand the owner for maintaining the business have to upgrade the prices . I believe if lower a little bit . It would bring to you more profits.

The Chicken Dum Biryani here is a masterpiece. The fragrant basmati rice cooked with tender chicken and aromatic spices creates a symphony of flavors. It's a one-pot wonder that will leave you craving for more.

Sorry but this place does not even deserve a star, firstly it's the owners who we have to blame, the staff are overworked and stressed out, the price of entree high and served without rice, its ok if to pay for good food, but the food was pathetic, the gongura lamb was so sour could hardly eat it,the telangana lamb sweet and tasted like tikka masala, the biryani used to be good, but this time horrible. Service tax is added for a table of 4,and when we asked the manager he says before covid we used to add it for table of 5,but after covid we started adding it for table of 4,this itself just shows they are not worried about service or food quality and hell bent on squeezing the customer for cash,I don't understand why charge service tax when u can't give quality food and service, the only person who was cheerful and helpful was the food runner. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE UNLESS THEY DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE FOOD AND SERVICE. And the toilet too was so dirty. It’s been a while tried a carry out this time, still the quality of food has not improved , just too bland and tasteless.

I ordered food last night through UberEats. As you can see in the photo at the top there were fresh rice at the bottom it had mixed rice that tasted bad. The Hot and Sour chicken soup barely had any chicken and it was full of Scallion and Coriander and was extremely spicy and a dark red color soup. Very poor quality food.

Tried a jackfruit biryani there for the first time and I was impressed. It had a chicken like bite to eat and tasted suberb. Loved the mirchi ka salan ans the raita as well. Cost is on a higher side but was super tasty. Staff was very polite and offered a great service. Must try.

I want to write this review for long Every single time I have ordered Deccan special biriyani which is chicken boneless biriyani it was having so much of oil in the biriyani specially on the bottom layer of it. I have never ever seen such oil in the food have ordered from any other place. I thought may be if I mention it over call while giving the order for pickup they will take care of it but that also didn’t seem to help. Every single time when I had special biriyani from them I don’t want to eat it again with so much intensity but I tend to forget.

The place and ambience is nice. The food was alright, enjoyed it for a one time meal. Everything is monetized to the point where if you want to have water you have to buy a bottle, I had to, was thirsty, they left me with no other option. Uhm, wonder if that's the right approach to get $'s out of customers, how about trying to improve the customer experience and food quality instead. Profits are good but at what cost to the business, I think is a key question. All the best!!

Was looking for place to eat after ganpati visarjan. After visiting 4-5 crowded place, this place allowed us for dine in. Decent space, with good service. Food taste good. We ordered chicken 65, chicken biryani and kulfi. Will not recommend the kulfi but gajar halwa can be tried. This place is little on pricey side

From the first sip to the last bite, Deccan spice is pure deliciousness. Awesome food experience. Very friendly host I think his name is kiran and person taking order was very nice and she was very helpful. I went with my friend and we ordered paya soup, Naatu koodi chicken biryani, special chicken biryani, kothu parotta with chicken, haleem and mango lassi. This is not the first time I went to deccan spice, Everytime we go the taste and feel good of kothu parotta with chicken served mesmerises us, the portion is large and at that price point you cannot go wrong with it and also must try mango lassi here. We had a great time, thankyou.

The worst food experience, found cockroach in food I’ve ordered.I felt like eating some spicy food and ordered from the menu and found cockroach in my food. After knowing this, the manager asked us not to take photos and to leave the restaurant and started arguing with us .Please see the attached pic. Don't ever order from here their kitchen must be infested with cockroaches.

My go-to place for Indian cuisine in Jersey City. The quality of their food is consistently excellent. Whether you're a fan of spicy curries or mild dishes, they have something for everyone. Make sure to save room for their delectable Gulab Jamun for dessert!

18 usd for 4 small pieces of chicken feels like a major scam... I used to buy food in this place and it was officially my last time. Does not even come with rice. They are a joke and they will go bankrupt because od this. The size of the food box also reduced... very upset

Simple…. You want to lose money, go to this restaurant. The prices are abnormally high. I usually feel okay with high prices when food quantity and taste is good but here I felt like going through a robbery. I ordered a veg fried rice for price $18 and got three spoons of rice in a tiny kadai. I was so shocked when I saw that and just wanted to leave then and there. For two veg Biriyani , a teeny tiny fried rice and one cocktail, my bill was hundred dollars. Even when we are 5 people, they just have three water bottles and we have to request them again to get two more, I mean you can’t even count?? On top of it, they charged an automatic service fee of 18% as if the high prices are not enough. All of us were still hungry even after spending $100 dollars and had to go somewhere else to avoid being scammed. I told the manager then and there that this is not at all worth and he sent a complimentary sweet as if that makes things right. I have seen lots and lots of restaurants but never this greediness in price and quantity.I am never ever going back there. Never again. I really suggest anyone going somewhere else where you get to enjoy food without feeling like being robbed. This place is really unworthy.

Note: This review is mainly for the owner of the restaurant. I usually never write reviews on anything even if it is worse but don’t know I have not seen a single positive thing in this restaurant. Haleem was not good. Some one said karapodi chicken is nice but it’s the worst starters I have ever had. And the main thing I didn’t like is the ketchup. I have never seen a restaurant providing ketchup bottle. It would be great if they serve in a cup but serving the ketchup bottle is really not professional. I guess staff should be taught with professionalism and owner should have some responsibility to his business. Please contact some professional interior designer and design your place too. And change the food taste too. Have a great year. I hope you will get a lot of positive reviews once your change your interior and food taste. Good Luck Brother.

Undoubtedly, the best Biryani and Natu Kodi Vepudu in town. Their service is excellent too! The owner and servers are so welcoming and polite to their customers 😌 I always come back for my bowl of happiness aka Biryani

The chicken masala fry was a lot like the chicken 65/chicken kababs you get in the streets of bangalore. Super Crunchy and juicy! Definitely recommend.

Here the Front Manager was awesome in choosing the items. We been to this restaurant for the first time as one of my friend told Goat Paya and Naatu Kodi Biryani are awesome here. They’re maintaining consistency in the taste. Goat Paya 5/5. Natukodi Biryani 5/5. But Pomphret fish need some improvement 4/5. Thanks Deccan spice Chef and the Team. Will visit this place soon.

Had the kadai chicken and an order of samosas. I was a little put off by the price at first, but it was ultimately worth it. While the main dish can be a bit of a wait, the samosas arrive quickly and will definitely hold you over.

The service was amazing and the food was awesome. The food had a lot of flavor and they make it as per your choice of spice. However the only concern would be the serving time is a but more so you gotta wait for your food before it arrives. In all the experience was worthwhile and I would surely come here again

This is one of the best tasting Indian restaurant I’ve been, just go with any non-veg curries with garlic naan, pair it with mango lassi - you won’t regret it. It’s a bit more expensive than what it appears though. Decor is ok, there are room to improve. The speed of cooking needs to be improved a bit. There is only on waiter working, and he seems too busy to handle everything. The price is about 35-40 per person, a bit more expensive than its peers.
