I recently dined here and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. From the moment I entered, I noticed an odd behavior from one of the waiters. This individual not only took a picture of me without consent but also maintained a discomforting stare throughout my meal. To my dismay, this waiter went on to whisper something to another staff member, who then proceeded to join in this unsettling behavior. Their collective actions left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. Dining out is meant to be an enjoyable experience, an opportunity to explore new culinary options in a relaxed setting. Regrettably, my visit here quickly turned into a disturbing event, tarnishing what should have been a simple dinner. I didn’t want to address the issue in the restaurant as I felt there wasn’t anyone to talk to, and I didn’t want to ruin other people’s experience by causing a scene. The space was pretty tight, and everyone was close to each other. Additionally, there were children sitting on the table next to me. I sincerely hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and addresses this issue promptly. As a patron, I expect to feel safe and respected when visiting any establishment. I would strongly caution others to think twice before choosing as their dining destination.

I wish I could give this place a negative star. Morons work at Laree Adda restaurant. We called three times before arriving to the restaurant, and of course no one answered. After 2 hours of drive, we got there at 2:30 pm only to find out that restaurant was serving breakfast till 4:00 pm, and cherry on top, it was mostly empty but the employees were too lazy to answer. Who serves breakfast till 4:00 pm? At least they should have this information advertised on your website. They were not any of the items (karahi, bbq, etc) for which we drove that far for.

Chole, Garlic Bread and Masala Chai tasted good. Although, the Seekh Kebab could have tasted better. Chicken Tikka could have been more authentic. It partly tasted like Butter chicken.

I hired Laree Adda to cater my wedding and was unsure what to expect. Needless to say my expectations were surpassed by Shan and his team. Through the process Shan was very responsive to all of our questions and even came to visit the venue beforehand. The day of the wedding all food was prepared fresh and was delicious. Samosas were fresh and crispy, the tikka masala was flavorful, and the biryani was perfectly prepared. Our guests have been raving in the week since about how excellent the food was and how how most weddings do not have such fresh and delicious food. The chai was also freshly made and served for our guests which they were delighted to receive. Please consider Laree Adda for all your catering needs or for a meal in general. You will not be disappointed.

Restaurant is new and modern. The staff is very helpful. Food was okay we only tried breakfast items. Halwa puri and chai was good but paayee (cow feet) was below average, may be because of less salt and a lot of garam masala in it. We will definitely try other items on their menu soon.

We had the Mix Grill and it was prepared live in front of us. The chicken kebab was juicy. The Mutton Korma was bland and the meat was tough. The Tandoori Roti was as expected. Note that it is quite big. The sweet lassi and Kashmiri Chai were both good. The particles floating in the chai are ground nuts. Our biggest disappointment was we didn’t get to try the Chicken Karahi. We reached around 2 hours before closing time and they said it was not available to order. The store told us that customers call in 2 hours before they arrive to pre order the dish. Please do call them if you want to eat the Karahi.

Karahi is Laree Adda’s speciality and freshly baked tandoori naan 🫓 compliment it. Takes a little over an hour to cook perfection, patience is well worth it. Service was good reactionary but not proactive, waited 1 HR extremely patiently at the table prior to requesting plates, utensils, napkins which weren’t provided and had to remind the staff to kindly bring us the appetizer which was previously ordered 👎 🧐 Dessert was a miss, Falooda wasn’t available but ordered gulab jamun, kheer and Rasmalai which wasn’t tasty. This restaurant did well on appetizers though but wouldn’t recommend dessert items as they can certainly improvise. Pink tea is mediocre and nothing beats Gourmet’s pink tea but that’s in Brooklyn. Overall highly recommend the main food entrees as we tried a few and there’s plenty more to devour. Thank you for reading!! 😁

Such a disappointment... was really looking forward to authentic good desi food. Chapli kabab in sandwich was skinnier than the tomato in the sandwich and tasteless. Bun kabab was bland. The wings, weirdly, tastes same as the ones u get frozen at Jetro lol. 2 stars because the lemon fizzy drink was good! Overall - I am staying away!

Ate here during restaurant week and had the sample lunch menu, which was more than enough for 2. Ordered a naan and mango lassie to complement the menu and had a taste of many different delicious things we normally wouldnt eat. A tad spicy for me, but in a good way. Staff was nice and attentive despite being super full that day with a big party.

I rarely write reviews but this was too good! I am an international student from Pakistan and I had been feeling home sick especially with the lack of Desi cuisine in the states. I hadn’t tried a single desi restaurant which I could compare to anything back home. On the recommendation of a family friend I went on to try Laree Adda and I was blown away to say the least. The karahi and nihari was amazing. I might even go on to add that you could compare the nihari to that of Warris or Muhammadi in lahore for those who understand how highly they rank. The lassi was amazing too. Definitely going to this place every time I’m in the NJ/NYC area. Too good, I’d recommend anyone who is in the mood for authentic Pakistani food to give this a try!!!

I ordered a Kati roll for takeout. The roti was completely burnt out, and I had 3 or 4 pieces of chicken. the rest were just filled with onions.

Every item I had there was fantastic! Chapli burger and bun kebab are a must try. Achaari chicken was delightfully refreshing and the vegetarian food items were top notch as well. Definite go to place for lovers of Indian and Pakistani cuisine! The hosts are a delight to talk with as well, service is great!

This place used to be decent once once upon a time. Not anymore. Do not waste your money. maybe the passion is gone or they just want to be this bad.. Had ordered Shami kebab for take out and they reheated old kebabs. Sour taste was alarming. Such unpleasant smell of stale food. Shamelessly they served such stale food.

Love my experience here every time! The food is always amazing. I'm West Indian, and there aren't a lot of West Indian spots in town, Pakistani food is the closest I can get to my favorite home style flavours and Laree Adda always hits the spot. Pro tip, order the chicken haleem. Perfectly spicy for those of us that love pepper, super great comfort food. Also, Ali the guy at the counter is my favorite employee. He is so helpful, so kind, and always takes great care of me and my friends. I've never had a bad experience here and I'm pretty sure he's the reason.

Friendly and fast service, restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is good. The chicken masala and the kashmiri tea were great, but the samosa was oily and the nan wasn't as good.

serving is very small in this platter Only two pieces of potato in the Aloo bhujia Channa totally dissolved like daal. Halwa very average Pori was good And sweet lassi was the only best thing I tried. Wait time at this place are too long. And And very less staff. So service is not great. Expected more from this place. Hope they improve!

The interesting part of this restaurant is that grill and karahi menu items are cooked in the open kitchen. Tried Grill Chicken tikka boti here which was so tender and well seasoned and authentic. The mozang chicken karahi was cooked and served in the cast iron pan which tasted great. Definitely recommend this place to foodies who love Indo Pakistani food.

A great Indian/Pakistani restaurant near Grove Street in Jersey City. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything here is made to order and is made fresh in front of your eyes. We ordered the Chapli Kebab, chicken seekh kebab and Tandoori Chicken for starters and chicken gravy and breads for mains. All the items were really good and the preparation was perfect. The wait time is slightly more as it's made fresh but it's worth the wait. Definitely recommend !

Visited this restaurant for the first time last week and I will most definitely be back. Everything was made fresh (you could even watch it being cooked!!) The menu is loaded with options for all ages and for people who like spicy food and for those who don't. It will be tough, but save room for a warm dessert. Not only was the food fantastic, but the service and environment were also incredible. Everyone was pleasant and willing to answer any and all questions. The indoor space looked brand new and they even had plenty of seating outdoors. Not to mention, there was great music playing indoors and outdoors! The list goes on, but try it for yourself and you will love it :)

Exceptionally bad food with layers of oil. Garlic naan had no butter and was dry. Chicken kebab was also awful.

A good restaurant serving Indian/Pakistani style food. The Kashmiri and Indian style tea we had was good and came with ample quantity. Samosa was done well and perfect for evening snacks. The place is located just across city hall and provides indoor and outdoor seating.

One of the best Pakistani food in NJ. Visiting NYC/NJ from TX, we had high expectations from this place. The overall experience was 10/10 we tried the bbq chk. Boti, Mozang chk karahi, Korma, and bindi masla. Every thing was fresh, hot and tasty. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone visiting NJ.

The food is so delicious. Very authentic pakistani taste. The owner is very courteous and serves the food himself. The mango lassi is one of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

Tried their Mozang karachi. It was amazing. You have to wait half an hour after placing order. But it's worth the wait. It's a must try. Got complimentary gulab jaman with our tea. Even tried their rolls which they serve only on weekends but they were nice enough to make it for us on a weekend. It's in downton area. So street parking can be hard to find. But there are parking lots nearby.
