SAFE review Service: Was great. We were able to sit without too much wait, surely because of Covid. They gave enough time to review the menu, food came timely and we were frequently checked on to see if we wanted anything. The only glitch being that they served the food before we had plates and they apologized for the same. The water was a small bottle, and that felt stingy. Ambience: This is a two-in-one restaurant. Sapthagiri serves vegetarian and Vaibhav with same entrance but a different seating area serves non-vegetarian food. Sapthagiri is plain in its look and feel, while Vaibhav is more classy with a banquet hall doubling fit for dining room. Food: was delicious. The idli, masala dosa and medu vada were very delicious; the sambhar and coconut chutney that came with it took me back to Kerala - enjoyed it. The Chicken Tikka Masala was really good, while the mutton (goat) biriyani was delicious. Ford desserts we had bread pudding (double ka meetha) and rice pudding (kheer) - both failed to meet expectations, and was disappointing. We saw the platter on the menu after we ordered, but would try that next that. Experience: over all was great. I wouldn't say that most authentic Indian food, but ranks up in list of those I have had recently. Will definitely recommend and surely visit again. The menu was too big and very overwhelming.

Like usual I ordered Pav bhaji dosa which used to be tasty. However, at this time they really ruined it for me. I literally received dosa with red mashed potato stuffing filled in name of Bhaji and it tasted worst. C’mon I can atleast distinguish between potato and bhaji. So now I probably won’t order during weekend.

Terrible place...does not value guest time. Food takes not less than 50mins to Arrive. We ordered Veg Fried Rice, it only had peas n rice. Same disappointment with Onion Masala Dosa, it was filled with Only Onions and just for name same some masala. Completely disappointing..the day ended bad with a Bad food!

I love this Indian food, the restaurant is divided into two separate restaurants for vegetarian and meat, I really like the Pani Puri, make sure to mix the green water well, it's amazing.

Got this hara bhara kabab... it was cold so heated up in the microwave and not sure something came out of it. Definitely it tasted old. Not getting this again and only 3 kababs is not worth the price.

I don't know how this place is below 4 stars. I absolutely loved this place especially going on a busy Sat night. Def curious to read the other reviews but I highly disagree.

This place used to be a great place for family get together. The food was delicious. Over time it has become oke. Its still good for family dinners. It has a pretty good atmosphere. Management is good service is good Buffet nights are okey. Dosa idly and uttapam are really recommend dishes Some south indian dishes are good too. Chat i would say is okey. Even chinese bhel was my favorite from here but these days it's not the same, it doesn't have the same flavor. It's still a recommended place for evening dinner Has plenty of parking space.

Ordered chili chicken dry and this is what I got..with gravy and when asked about it they said it comes like this. In which universe is this "dry"? Highly disappointed

What a great experience very authentic Indian punjabi food. There are so many vegetarian options. You can also ask cook to change the food the way you want to eat. We don't eat Onions & Garlic so they made it without and still test was awesome.

We had the weekend south indian breakfast buffet at this place which wasnt bad but never seen any restaurant charging mandatory 20 percent gratuity (we were 4 adults) on a buffet. The only thing served on the table by the waiter was the dosa which was also the part of the buffet but was served based on order per table.

It was amazing for my family and I, the mutton tasted exactly how it would be in India. The paneer tikka tasted flavorful with spice and was overall really great for my family and I. The portions sizes were a littler smaller than usual but overall we enjoyed it. I Recommended !

We ordered from uber eats and the quantity was too less….we ordered the harabhara kebob tht was just 2 and was raw and not cooked well…also the manchurian had just 3 pcs again not cooked well…….poor quantity and quality. Don’t ever order from this restaurant on uber eats it’s just waste of ur money!

Hands down the best Indian food I have ever had in Judson county. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. Portions were very generous, and all the dishes were bursting with flavor. Love that this restaurant is in the old Casa Dante, which for the uninitiated was a historic Italian restaurant that served as a perennial venue for Jersey city's political and business elite (and yes...also the mob). In many ways, VaibhaV is an improvement, at least from the perspective of food and service. Ph, they also have free parking for you drivers our there. Can't wait to come back.

Huge real-estate with separate vegetarian and non-vegetarian restaurants inside one roof in a fairly run down neighborhood. The men’s restrooms is tiny and filthier than a gas station restroom. Non-vegetarian dishes arrived quickly after we ordered. That’s a sign the food is not prepared fresh. It tasted ok. The goat dish was salty. Buy the servers were friendly, courteous and quick. After we finished dinner, I noticed a baby roach crawling on the floor. Baby roach indicates an infestation. I have no plans to go back.

We dine first time in 2018 in a big group , order variety of food , food was great, but I disappointed taste is no more like it used to be. Kitchen service very slow now, I ordered dal makhani to go, which smelly and look stale, gobi Manchurian was good , paneer makhani was very thin gravy, uncooked green paper in gravey, Butter Naan were halfway done. Bhature Chole was good. Waiters and waitresses are great. Overall not good food experience

I ordered veg manchurian for 14 dollars they only serve 3 pieces and a harabhara kabar for 10 dollars they only serve 2 pieces… its way to much expensive…. Also they don’t take care of a foor quality.. the kabab is soggy and raw and manchurian is really dry from inside… guys please don’t waste your money… on this restaurant… save ur money and stay away from their food…

I don’t normally leave reviews but this one deserves it, I had Yummiest Goat Biryani in New Jersey after coming from India, Relished every bite. The place is beautiful and this will be my go to place. Also cant wait to explore other items on the menu.

Vaibhav is one of the best Indian restaurants on the Indian street in Jersey City's Journal Square. I have frequented this place over the past few years especially for their lunch buffets. I believe they have the best weekend lunch buffet on the Indian street because of the wide variety of dishes they offer and the taste. (Only) Weekend buffets at Vaibhav include live (as in made to order) chaat counter, live dosa counter, a choice of starters, curries, biryanis, Indo-Chinese dishes, desserts and fresh Naan bread at your table. The buffet is more on the expensive side but it is worth it. I have also tried their a-la-carte options from the menu and found a few of their dishes really good. The restaurant allows you to BYOB, so you can carry some beers/wine and enjoy your food with it. Overall the restaurant is very vegetarian friendly, they have a lot of vegetarian options on their menu as well as on their lunch buffets which is a huge positive. The service has always been great, often over weekends the restaurants may get crowded during the lunch buffet and may involve some wait. The place is a must try if you are interested in a all you can eat Indian buffet in Jersey City. Buffet Recommendations: Chaat: Dahi Puri, Sev Puri Dosa: Masala Dosa, Cheese Dosa A la carte Recommendations: Appetizers: Hara bhara Kabab Vegetarian curries: Matar Paneer, Palak Paneer

Good. Not awesome, but it's just good. Quality - 3 Service - 4 Ambiance - 4 Price - 3 Since i am a biryani lover, i liked the biryani here. The chicken curry also was good. Pav bhaji, some veggie curry were average. Live dosa, some snacks items are good. Deserts although not so bad, they were average. Overall its good place to dine.

Very tasty, well prepared vegan food. Good assortment. Particularly good appetizers. Each curry has a different sauce and spices. Food even better as leftovers, the next day.

I Ordered Chinese food. It was over spiced and they used whole red chills and Idk why these guys put lots of curry leaves in Chinese food. Total waste of money. There are far better restaurants in city. Never ordering again from here. Worst experience. Highly not recommend.

Their food is good, good flavor and quantity, the parking is a plus. The only issue I’ve had is the samosa chaat never has samosa. It’s just channa and toppings. I’ve had it many times at dine in and delivery but same issue.
