Poor customer service. They sell main dish only (which are over priced) ! Bread, rice, salad …all extra. The place needs some cleaning for sure. I do not recommend this place. Google says they are open 24/7 but they are not. They close at at 11:30pm but when I came at 10:45, he would only give me takeout.

Limited vegetarian options, unlimited joy. Paneer Bhurji, Dal Tadka, Palak Paneer Makhni, Jeera Rice: 10/10 Naan, Peshawari Naan, Whole Wheat Roti: 10/10 *Don't miss out the starter: PANEER TIKKA SHASHLIK* Takes 20 minutes minimum to serve because everything is freshly cooked. Authentic species, and trust me, the best. The ambience can be much worked on, but someone who loves food more than the view, you are missing it if you don't visit this place. To all those people who miss that "desi dhabha" taste, this is surely at your rescue. (Visited it 11 times in a month since the first time I went there!!!)

Sitting area is not that good as you see in picture but food tastes SOO GOOD!! I've been coming here for over 2 ½ years and eveytime I come here, I love everything I ordered. I tried almost everything on the menu but Daal Tarka is still my favorite 😍

Basic dine in option with amazing food. The main cook came out to take order and we told him that we haven’t had Punjabi food for a long time and make it like that’s available in Punjab. He took care of the rest. Food was amazingly delicious and reminded me of some of the best restaurants in north India. Kebab was succulent and butter chicken was fantastic. Will be back again.

Tried the kebabs-chicken tikka, Malai kebab, bihari kebab. The best kebabs I've ever had hands down. I normally don't write reviews but I just had to. Incredibly juicy and tender chicken. I asked them to make it spicy and they made it extra scrumptious. I'm ordering kebabs from this place again whenever I have guests over 100%. Must try

We ordered Chapli kebab, garlic Naan and chicken Tikka from here and food was amazing. Food was prepared on time after ordering it online.

Vegetarian curries are good with North Indian spice level. Good Late night spot to get some food if you don’t have any other options

Great food good service even though the place is dated. Don't let the interior fool you - the food here is great. Everything is made to order and really flavorful. Naan bread was on point.

I think it’s very to the restaurant where people are giving 1-3 star reviews. The food is extremely delicious, and I can put the prices and looks aside because it’s so extraordinarily good! It is not the kind of place I would go to dine in. It is not made for ambience. It is made purely to serve you deliciousness and that’s all I care about. If they hired someone to improve their look and marketing, it would be off the charts. But I think the owner prefers it to be a low key type of place. Also it’s a little pricier because let’s face it, this kind of food quality takes love and effort to make delicious. It’s worth the price.

The food was amazing, the spices were all on point. We ordered Chicken Tikka, Chicken Kofta, and boneless Chicken Bryanni. The Bryanni is made by Lanhore cook, and they were not cheap in giving enough chicken in the Bryanni.

The food was not good to be frank. Indian food is much tastier and fun to have. We waited for 45 minutes for the food to arrive. We ordered 2 naan and 2 roti. We weren’t told what was served and the lady claimed to have served everything. She was very rude and didn’t respect her customers. The plates were not cleaned and we were served with the curies first and the roti’s came very late. The service was very poor and the staffs never cared about the customer. NOT recommended for traveler’s new to New York. There are much netter Indians restaurants with good services in New York.

The most authentic Pakistani food I’ve had in Jersey City since I came here. Their goat karahi is amazing and the garlic nans are a must when you’re ordering here. However I would advise to take a look inside the packets for confirmation of the correct order if you’ve decided on a takeout.

Come here only for the amazing delish food. If you are looking for ambience, views, seating, not for you. But if you are looking for straightforward authentic Pakistani food, knock here. Amazing biryani, curry and peshawari roti! Finally found a spot that does spicy food, spicy.

Great food ... Garlic naan best Goat curry best, best kababs All in all if you want indian/Pakistani food this is the place and it is open till 11 most nights One of very few restaurants in jersey city Service is nice, they would even recommend you the menu item or spicy level recommendations Sitting arrangements are okey, not much of room there and its just old school feeling, all though they take care of the place nicely. Have the restroom, somewhat clean. Parking can be hassle here since they have only street parking mainly because its mostly famous for take outs... But its most recommended place for good food with reasonable prices👍🏻

Been going there since last 3 years. Babar (chef) prepares food fresh on order. I prefer ordering chicken Sikh kabab, tandoori chicken, and any other veg or non vegetarian curries. He has be kind enough to adjust test to my liking. Prices have gone up recently but inline or less compared other nearby by indian style restaurants.

Very cheap place and food is so-so. Curry dishes don't come with rice. You have to buy rice extra. It's ridiculous. What is wrong with people. A basic thing like rice is not offered with currily dishes. They are so so cheap. Travel a few more blocks and you will have much more options in Indian Street.

Ujala is the real deal when it comes to regional Indian/Pakistani cuisine. I first came here with my co-worker (indian) and its become my go to for no frills Indian/Pakistani food in JC. Everything that comes out of that kitchen is heavenly. Made fresh. Not too oily, the right heat/flavor profiles. Ive become obsessed. Its ruined me. Favorites - mutton biryani, chicken korma karahi, palak paneer, paneer bourji, bullet naan (it is killer)

The food here is amazing. Fresh and delicious every time I ate here or ordered takeout. I don’t know why there is so many bad reviews but do not believe it and go try for yourself. You will not be disappointed! Try the garlic naan and the tandoori chicken it is delicious. Also there is BIG sign that says there is a fee for using cards. They do not process unnecessary charges!
