Our stay was excellent! Staff provided us with great service and made it easy to check in and out. The room we stayed in is pleasant and very comfortable, everything we needed is there already. The hotel in general is aesthetically pleasing and family friendly. The highlight of these hotel is that it’s around tourist area which is very convenient and you can just walk around, easy access to everything. Also, shout out to Ms. Annette and Ms. Julia for giving us the great experience and helping us making sure we were okay with our stay. Over all, I love it and will be coming. 👍🏽

I've stayed here many, many times over the past 30 years but likely will never stay again. While the staff gets 5 stars for all their help (Monroe is amazing) the experience was the worst. From no mention of the extreme state of construction going on to the fire alarm testing all day, no water overnight one of the nights and the unkempt pool, the laid back Key West luxury experience promised and expected fell very very short. Shane on the hotel AND IHG for making no mention when booking regarding the constriction. Jack hammering above our room began everyday by 9am and went ALL. DAY. LONG. When it rained, you couldn't bear to relax in your room so you got out early and stayed out. This is Key West, you don't get up and out early normally! It was a truly terrible experience and really sad as this has always been a favorite hotel. I do not recommend staying here any longer as the hotel ownership cares nothing about what goes into planning a vacation for many of us. While the staff at the front desk and the location are great, there are now far better places to trust with your valuable vacation time and money. This is not the place!

Stayed at this property for a week and couldn't have more positive things to say! The leadership and management teams have such attention to detail and truly care about their guests. A highlight of the stay was definitely the fitness center with stunning panoramic views of the island. The pool deck was also so expansive and the perfect place to spend an afternoon in the sun. Also, did I mention the location? Right in the center of everything on Duval Street! Can't wait to return!

Have to give them five stars! Although the hotel is under partial renovation, the staff, contractors, and manager couldn't have been any more helpful, accommodating, and attentive. We met Hotel Manager Monroe when we checked in and he was very impressive. His attitude, helpfulness, and local knowledge is excellent! Great location. Clean rooms. Clean pool. Monroe is everything you could want in a managerial position! We're definitely coming back! PS: Monroe told us that we were the first guests to be staying in a recently renovated room. When I say clean and pristine, you know what mean.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Key West is a stunning property with well-maintained grounds, situated right in the heart of the island on the famous Duval Street. I recently had the pleasure of staying there and would like to provide an honest account of my experience, which was overall enjoyable but marred by a single, significant issue. Location-wise, the Crowne Plaza Hotel is unbeatable. It's nestled within a minute's walk of all the action that Key West has to offer, from vibrant bars and restaurants to unique shops and art galleries. This prime location makes it an ideal choice for travelers looking to explore and experience the island's lively atmosphere and attractions. Upon arrival, the beauty of the hotel is immediately apparent. The hotel's design and architecture embody the laid-back, tropical charm that Key West is known for. The lush, immaculate landscaping and clean surroundings create a welcoming atmosphere that invites guests to relax and unwind. The staff at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Key West were incredibly warm and friendly. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone we encountered was eager to help and ensure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Their professionalism and hospitality truly made a positive impact on our overall experience. Our room was also clean and well-kept, with all the amenities one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. The attention to detail was impressive, and it was evident that the housekeeping staff takes pride in their work. However, there was one significant drawback that unfortunately affected the quality of our stay – the bed. Despite the room's overall comfort and cleanliness, the bed felt like sleeping on rocks. It was extremely firm and uncomfortable, which led to restless nights and stiff mornings. For a hotel that otherwise provided a wonderful experience, this issue was a major disappointment. In conclusion, the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Key West offers an unbeatable location, beautiful grounds, exceptional staff, and clean, well-appointed rooms. However, the uncomfortable bed detracts from an otherwise outstanding stay. I would recommend this hotel to others, but I do hope that management considers upgrading their beds to ensure a more restful and enjoyable experience for all guests. We will be returning to Key West next month... I probably will book another hotel.

We could not stay in the hotel for the nights we had reserved. Upon arriving we discovered there was an unannounced full scale construction project ongoing in the hotel. Concrete hammers were extremely loud. The location is very much in the touristy ugly side of Key West. Mr. Monroe was the only highlight of our attempted stay who did all he could to help us better the possible stay but could not make it appealing enough for us to consider the stay. We left and stayed at a nicer resort on the water for less of a cost in a nicer part of Key West.

Staff was great. The room was clean. Housekeeping came daily. There wasn't a door hanger to request them not to come, but we didn't mind since they restocked the bottled water daily. We were in room 354 "overlooking" the pool (there is a palm tree in the way, so you can't see anything). It wasn't an issue since we didn't spend much time in the room during the day. Outlets were hard to find, hidden on the floor level behind furniture, except in the bathroom. I don't know if this was a malfunction or part of the spookiness of the hotel, but on the second night, I noticed that our smoke alarm strobe light started going off intermittently at different brightness, and only when the room was pitch black. As soon as a phone was lit up or a light turned on, it stopped. It freaked me out a bit (for fire safety reasons), but it continued for the remainder of my stay. We arrived on a Wednesday and left on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. The first couple nights were quiet, but that Friday night became rowdy around Key West with the holiday. Also on Friday afternoon, the free water in the lobby was not available. The hotel free parking is great. We parked upon arrival Wednesday and didn't touch the car again until we left Saturday. We never tried any of the food the hotel had to offer and the spa is no longer an offered amenity.

It’s a beautiful hotel. The location is perfect walking distance from a lot of the area. The room is amazing, the shower is perfect. It feels very vintage, but in the best way possible. Staff is super friendly, and glad to help with anything you need. I loved my stay here, and i will come back again:)

Excellent experience. The manager here saved our family vacation. Thank you to Umberto and many others; everyone here was kind and went far above and beyond for us. When the changeover from IHG to Marriott occurred, IHG failed to notify us of this, which is critical because we were staying solely because of our IHG free night points. We found out it was no longer an IHG property only 2 nights before leaving on our vacation! Needless to say, nothing else remotely affordable could be located on such short notice (we planned this trip a year in advance) in this prime location. Yet, we had nonrefundable tours booked early AM in Key West, so we couldn't cut this part of the vacation, and honestly didn't want to as it was to be the high point of our trip (our first time to Key West). IHG offered us zero solutions, no help at all, they were truly awful to nearly unbelievable proportions, despite that we are IHG Diamond Elite members. However, management at this property was amazing, and kindly worked with me to find an affordable solution. They have my immense thanks, and I hope both the hotel owners and Marriott realize what a tremendous asset the management and staff of this property are. Our room was lovely; the location was unbeatable. The hotel amenities, ample parking so hard to come by in this location, welcome drinks, and breakfast with many delicious options were enjoyable perks. Close to the old Key West downtown sights, a short walk to the pier where our tour departed, ground zero for the night time dining and activities. We even found a band playing live salsa music nearby and danced outdoors in cute cobbled courtyard. I would return to this property in an instant, and shall someday, but as a Marriott member. (IHG has lost us.) Thank you again La Concha Key West team.

I strongly advise against choosing this hotel for your stay. Currently undergoing renovations, the construction work starts promptly at 7:00 am, creating a continuous disturbance that hinders peaceful sleep. Despite my request for a late check-out due to the disruptive morning noise, the front desk declined. Additionally, the rooms are dimly lit and carry a persistent musty odor, contributing to an overall unpleasant experience. As I write this review, I'm grappling with a severe headache caused by the lack of sleep. I share this feedback in the hope of sparing others from the challenges I encountered during my stay at this hotel.

Great location on Duval. Hotel is under some major renovations. Rooms are very small but bed was very comfortable. Fire alarm went off more than 10 times in 3 days. Still charged a $43/night resort fee with no offer to “make things right” with all the construction and alarms going off constantly. For a place charging a resort fee, I expected better service and free coffee in the lobby. I would recommend doing your homework before booking and making sure the property is not doing renovations. Live and learn…

Beautiful historic hotel. Outstanding customer service from everyone, especially Gonzalo at check in. Housekeeping was excellent. Historic hotels have difficulties in the modern age, keeping their exquisite decor spotless and thos one is no different. They do try, however, better than any vintage hotel I've been in.

The hotel was great — no issues there, but the bartender, German, was the highlight of our stay!! He was very friendly and super knowledgeable about Key West. He gave us some great suggestions on things to do and places to eat while visiting. My husband and I really appreciated his kindness while staying here (and his drinks were also very, very good)!

I cannot recommend this hotel at all. I will start with the positive, which is that, for the most part, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and they provided us with great service. But the rest of the experience was below average. The guest rooms are just terrible. First, the bed is hard as a rock. I woke up with back pain every morning. They also have the absolute worst pillows I've ever had in any hotel. They are huge and firm, and also gave me a neck ache, since I'm used to sleeping on my stomach with a soft pillow (which this hotel somehow just doesn't have). And they have two gigantic chairs that do nothing but take up a huge amount of space, because they're way too uncomfortable to actually sit on. The bathroom is terrible. First, there is no bar, rack, or ring to hang up any towel, which makes no sense at all. There is also no fan in the bathroom (which is bad for smells, but also for this very high humidity environment). The shower floor is very slippery, and they provide the smallest bar of soap you have ever seen in your life. If you're even able to shower with it, the thing won't last more than just one shower. The a/c in this hotel is just awful. It's stupid how cold they keep the temp in the lobby and hallways. Most of us had to go outside or to our rooms just to warm up. Then the a/c in the rooms is horribly inconsistent. I was with a group of 6 people, and one room was freezing cold, and even putting the temp on 80 they couldn't get it any warmer, and another of us had a room that was overly warm, and putting the a/c at the lowest temp didn't cool it off. And nothing dries in these rooms. Doing any activity, you get hot and sweaty outside, and wet clothes and towels are still wet in the room the next day. The pool is nice, but too small and crowded when the hotel is busy. The bar is nice, and the bartender was great, but including a mandatory 18% tip on drinks at a bar is just outrageous. I shouldn't have to tip $5 for a guy to spend 30 seconds making me two drinks. Apparently this hotel isn't paying their staff enough. I will say that the cleaning people did a great job on our room. It was nice to have service every day, which a lot of hotels don't provide anymore. DO NOT get a room on the front of the hotel facing Duval St. It's just ridiculous how noisy it is in the room at night - you won't be able to get any sleep. Overall the location of the hotel is great if you prefer being in the downtown area...for that, it's excellent. I also appreciated the free hotel parking. But I would not stay here again.

The bartender! GERMAN IS THE BEST! He was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming! The drinks were absolutely amazing! We went back to the hotel early to hang out at the bar with the bartender! The hotel itself is great and the pool bar has an awesome view of Duval! Definitely recommend 10/10

It is listed as the highest star hotel on the island. So obviously I walked in with high expectations. The lobby is nice and eye catching. The location is good too. It is on Duval street which is the main drag and has all the shops and good for walking. The main issue I had was the rooms. We got our room and walked in to this musty smelling room with wet carpets. The room was very small. It was the size of a king bed and a little space on each side. I have been to hotels in Manhattan with small rooms. This room made me feel like that. Small and no room to move. Bathroom is tight. You can barely open and close the door. We went down and asked for a different room that was not so musty smelling. We did get another room, but it was the same size and same issue. Given that we had only two days there, it was not worth the hassle to change. I am providing the information and the 3 stars to set the expectation. The hotel marketing and the charge, set your expectations of similar facilities. This is really not at par with other hotels in Florida, but may be for Key West. I have no base of comparison against other hotels in the Keys, but for sure, next time around would try another place.

Great room and service. Spacious room with plenty of walk-around space. Had no trouble getting around with my walker (broke my leg!) Bed was super comfortable with memory foam and down duvet cover. Large TV, clock radio with iPhone hookup, beautiful half-circle pool with lounging chairs and a bar. And so many touristy things to do! The staff and front desk clerks are amazing!! They were very attentive to our needs, made sure we always had what we needed and always did everything with a smile! I would like to personally thank Annette for going above and beyond in helping us with a reservation conflict we had. She was very personable, professional and so very kind!! The only cons I have for the room, not the hotel, is that we were never able to actually get hot water in the shower and there was no microwave. Other than that… excellent place to stay!

Great friendly service. The staff was on top of everything. If we asked for things we needed. We were accommodated. They always made sure guests had water . You could get bottled water whenever you wanted it. The was a mini fridge in room. The hotel itself is beautiful inside. I didn’t know it was haunted until a crew member on our sunset cruise told me. We stayed 6 days. I was happy with our accommodations. I’ll always remember the place. I would stay there again. It was a great location.

Location, service and comfort exceeded our expectations. This was a first visit to Key West and we picked the right place for our home base. Emily was working the concierge desk most of our stay and right from check-in, her recommendations were spot on. The room was comfortable and clean, with consistent service for replenishing towels and toiletries. I only wish there were more reliable electrical outlets in the room. It’s a beautiful historic hotel, so more charging options will likely only happen through accessories. Lesson learned. I would be remiss if I didn’t also recognize Alex, who served us in the dining area: gold standard for hospitality. Period! While we only enjoyed breakfast at the property, it was undoubtedly one of the best meals during our entire visit. Kudos! Really, really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

We stayed approximately a week and absolutely loved the staff and property grounds. Thank you so much for a great experience! All the staff were so kind and attentive to our requests and needs. The location is beautiful and sits in a perfect location on Duval street. Would happily stay when I go back. Recommend taking advantage of the fabulous pool and amenities available.

We had never been to Key West and LaConcha was the best place to stay for first timers. In the center of everything. It is a late night city so it can be loud on the street but we were on the second floor and slept just fine. The staff is amazing!! Lisa at the concierge desk was awesome, helpful and full of all the best kept secrets. The front desk staff was super friendly, we worked with Annette a few times and she was incredibly friendly and helpful. They have cold waters on the lobby to grab as you go out on adventures and that was very much appreciated. It is a historic hotel and the rooms are a little smaller than a typical hotel but you will have so much to do you won't be in the room very long. Thank you for an incredible stay! Highly recommend!

Our stay was phenomenal! This is the most perfect location in Key West. We didn't have to drive anywhere our entire stay. Within walking distance of anything you could possibly want. There are so many restaurants, bars, ice cream and sweet shops, retail shops, and museums. It's also a stop for the trolley (huge plus if you are looking to see ALL of Key west). The rooms were immaculate. The pool was incredible (especially after a long day of museums and tours). The front desk was even more amazing. Gonzalo checked us out and even gave our 4 year old a surprise present when we checked out (the Key lime cookies were a huge hit)! Absolutely phenomenal service from Gonzalo and all front desk. We will absolutely be back!

We were staying in town on Christmas Eve and there were no rooms available at the local Inns. The irony was not lost on us.. We did not know where we were going stay until we spoke to 2 lovely ladies at your front desk. Karla from Nicaragua and Gulnur from Tajikistan. Both assisted us in a very professional manner. they both displayed fantastic attitudes and helped us get a very nice room on short notice. I wish to say that Karla went out of her way to make us feel welcomed in the hotel by offering us extra blankets and water as well as following up with a friendly text to make sure that we were having a good time while we were out having dinner. I can tell you I have stayed in a lot of hotels and I have never gotten such fantastic service. Please keep these ladies on your staff and if you can promote them you will not go wrong! Thank you Oscar D. Room 554 Dec 24 2021

We stayed at a different hotel for two nights, but switched to Crowne Plaza for the rest of our stay in Key West and it didn’t disappoint. The room we got was very spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. This hotel is in the middle of the Duval stretch so it was very convenient and walking distance to all the places we wanted to go. You could hear street noise from our room, but it wasn’t that bad and didn’t affect our sleep. I docked one star as the washroom was very tiny in comparison to the size of the room. In addition, the tiles in the shower were a little slippery and both the shower door and washroom door opened in the same direction. Kudos to Julia and Annette for being so pleasant in greeting us every time we walked by the front desk, and was able to accommodate a late check out. Highly recommend this hotel if saying in Key West.

Not only was our room opened by staff but they also left the door propped opened unattended. Imagine you are a 28 yr old lady and you go upstairs to see you hotel door propped open and the bed completely disheveled - that's what my girlfriend experienced. It was unbelievably frightening and worrisome being that all of our belongings could have ended up going missing on our vacation. Upon telling the manager, he basically did not feel empathetic but eventually gave us another room because I insisted that we do not feel safe which for some reason he could not comprehend how my partner felt coming back to the room. Not to mention that whoever entered our room without permissions could have damaged property and MY credit card would have been charged! Again, not even considered when telling the hotel manager. Well, they gave us a new room and a breakfast voucher, which I had already bought two breakfast vouchers. yet he did not take the time to check the file and know that I already purchased them, so he gave us two drink vouchers for our "inconvenience" ....because putting our safety and our personal belongings in jeopardy was just an inconvenience. Next morning, we go to hit the town and check out the sights to then return to the hotel to enjoy breakfast. Upon going back to our room this time.... our keys simply did not work, as if they deactivated the key or checked us out before our designated checkout time. When I call the front desk to. obviously frustrated as this is the second time all of our belongings were jeopardized, the front desk agent told me not to cause a fuss and it isn't worth it to be upset. They had us wait in the hallway until their engineering department came up to reactivate our keys. He played very confused about how it could have happened. as if the battery needed to be changed in the lock. But, why then does the SAME KEY unlock the door after he reactivated right in front of us... well, it's because the battery is fine and the key was too - they deactivated our keys early for no reason. I used well earned credit points for this stay and felt that I was powerless in their care and this hotel not only was incompetent but also lacked grace and hospitality. They could not admit where they made huge mistakes and were not fixing the issue simply kicking the can. I made a claim with my credit card company because this trip was made through them. Unbelievable!

Location is wonderful but the room is way too small for price. We paid close to $800 for one of our nights with room price and fees. The bathroom was so small you could not shut the door while using toilet. The bed was wonderful, but my husband and I could not walk I. The room at same time it was so small. Customer service has declined GREATLY since we were there in 2018. No valet and luggage assistance. You need to go to front desk whenever you want ice

First, I’ll say that the hotel is beautiful, our room was huge, and we had a very nice large bathroom. The location is fantastic, and compared to most places on the island, this is one of the nicest to stay at. I only had two issues with the hotel. 1) No robes. I’d think with the price of this room, you’d include robes, but that’s not a huge deal. 2) My biggest complaint was that our room was NEVER cleaned/made up when we got back to the room around 4:00. Every day, we’d have to chase down housekeeping and wait in the lobby while they did our room. This is unacceptable, especially, when you’ve been out all day, and you want to come back and rest or shower/get ready for dinner. Waiting an hour to have the room made up is a huge waste of valuable vacation time. If I was spending $100 a night, I wouldn’t complain, but with prices at $600-$800 per night, I’d like to have my room made up before the evening each day.
