I had a beautiful time there. The staff was awesome. The room was a little small. I didn't come here to stay in a room the price was $109 a night. I was within walking distance from everything. I asked other people what they were paying, and they paid $250 a night, and they didn't have a complimentary breakfast like we had at a BNB. got Belgian waffle fruit cups, muffins, eggs, yogurt, and bagels..

We ALWAYS stay at The Garden House when we visit Key West! Sammy is THE BEST host ever. We are within walking distance of everywhere we want to go. Room is always clean and cool, breakfast is always good, pool is my favorite!

Sammy is amazing!! Super attentive and a lot of fun. I felt really safe there as I was traveling solo for the night. Room was perfect for what I needed. Hotel is in walking distance of everything- perfect location. I really appreciate the cold cucumber and lemon water always available! I would definitely stay again.

What a great place. The owner is amazing and right there to talk and give Key West tips. We could walk to all the things we wanted to do. Ignore all the negative comments about small rooms. Just read his website it is accurate. Yes the rooms are small but are you going to Key West to sit in a room. You will not find a better host at a B&B. We absolutely loved our stay and it will probably be an annual escape. It was fabulous.

You’re paying for the location, which is perfect. Easy to walk to everything you could want in Key West. The outside of the place is very cute and the potted plants in the courtyard give it a very fun cozy feel. That said, I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of our room. Every surface felt grimy (including the floors) and the shower grout was covered in mildew. Pretty gross. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and towels were clean. The breakfast was of a lower standard than I typically expect from a B&B.

Amazing staff. This man made the mood for me and my husband. This is important to get started. Very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean. A cozy swimming pool with hydromassage came in handy for relaxation. The location of the hotel is very convenient.

I have been to Key West five times and this is easily the best bed and breakfast I have stayed at! Sammy Miami and Katie are the best hosts. Sammy made us multiple drinks throughout the weekend and even gave us his parking space when there was an issue with ours! He also had the best recommendations for local restaurants. AND the breakfast parfaits and waffles were delicious. Would highly recommend The Garden House to anyone!

Booked this hotel last minute because we needed to stay the night in Key West before our flight the next day. Booking was super easy and quick. The Staff was helpful and courteous! This is the cutest little B&B with beautiful plants and foliage, ambrosial smells from all the Jasmine, it's adorably decorated, has nice clean rooms, and tasty breakfasts! We took advantage of the clothing optional pool which was a very comfortable temperature and private! Super easy walk to Duval St. and Mallory Square! Can't wait to come back to Key West and book this charming B&B again!

Looking for a place to stay in Key West isn’t easy. There are lots of options to pick from. We wanted to be close enough to walk to Sloppy Joy’s as our trip to Key West was mostly to see a band we like called Steal The Sky. On another visit we stayed in the southeast corner of Key West but needed to take a bus or taxis to town. The Garden House is located right in town so everything is within walking distance. We were a little nervous as it was called cozy. It is cozy but in all the right senses of the word. Our room had a king size bed, small but nice bathroom and just outside was a rooftop deck with lots of chairs. I liked that we were on the second floor giving a bit more privacy. We didn’t plan to spend much time in the room but wanted a clean and comfortable room, which it was. Downstairs is the pool, deck and breakfast area. Breakfast is served from 8 to 10 with coffee starting at 7:30. The pictures tell the story. For us it was a 5 Star inn. There are a few off street parking spots for $20 a day. This made it easier and safer for our visit. I think we would have found street parking but didn’t want to worry about finding a spot. Like everyplace in Key West the roosters will wake you up. We always travel with ear plugs. When eating downstairs the roosters want food. Be careful as they will bite when taking the food from your hand. If you don’t feed them they will not bother you. Can’t wait for our next visit here.

Key West is nothing without having spent your time at The fabulous Garden House. Sammy (Manager), personally greeted me at the front, and directed me to my parking spot. The sidewalk parking is insane, so that was perfect that it was there for me when I arrived. I arrived early and Sammy welcomed me to check-in early, and was also given a tour of the property and my key to my room. I had never experienced a hotel so clean as this B&B property. All hotels should have this king/queen for a day vibe which I received at The Garden House. I will be back again to see Sammy - Definitely a Historic Charm

Great place in walking distance to Duval St., Harbor Walk, Hemingway house, and tons of fun!! Room was clean and quiet. Staff was super friendly and the belgian waffle and fruit was restaurant quality. Lovely area to relax and meet other travelers in a tropical garden setting. They also had a large hot tub open 24 hours and was super relaxing. Water pressure in shower was good and room had a small fridge. They were super dog friendly and had water bowls everywhere. Parking was on the street and free but first come-first serve. Ice machine available 24/7 and communal covered dining in the garden. There was also a roof top lounge area to chill, eat, or sun bathe on. We would definitely visit here again!

Stayed for 8 nights in Feb 23, loved it. If you've never been to Key West and don't know the place, it'll be hard for me to write anything useful. Key West ain't Myrtle Beach. First, the bad: - Bed wasn't the most comfortable - No chairs in the room, had to sit on the end of the bed and it's a bit crushed. - Overall, the owners could spend a little more on paint and other maintenance, but the room itself was quite nice. And, the good: - Sammy! Sammy was a wonderful host that made our stay delightful. He brought us drinks by the pool, unadvertised perk, so make sure you tip him well. He's been there a number of years, and can provide good recommendations for dining and entertainment. - The pool is really a big, jetted "warm tub" (not hot, which is good) about 3 feet deep. Big enough for 6-8 folks to hang out comfortably, more if you're friends. - Breakfast is included. Sammy made us waffles with fresh blackberries, blueberries, rasberries and whipped cream, yum! He doesn't work breakfast often, but the other staff is great too. - Location is awesome. You're two blocks from Duval and two blocks from Conch Republic at Elizabeth and Eaton. Very easy walk on less crowded streets. We've stayed at more expensive and "nicer" places, but never enjoyed the stay this much. THANK YOU SAMMY!

Was in Key West for 2 nights to see Jimmy Buffett on my 55th birthday. We have been to KW many, many, many times and loved The Garden House! It is located in our favorite part of town. Sammy greeted us upon arrival and graciously checked us in early to our room. He provided a tour of the grounds before we set off to do our normal KW bar and food hopping. The king room we had had plenty of space for 2 nights and was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast and coffee great and convenient! Sammy gets this up to a 5-star rating as he is a part of the experience of staying at The Garden House! The pool is great and Sammy was always ready to make us a drink! Part of the reason we will be coming back for short stays is Sammy and his great personality. The whole experience staying in this quaint B&B and manager Sammy is like old key west and a fun time!

Quaint, comfortable, clean. Easy walking distance to everything. Quiet, apart from some folks who came back to the pool area around 11pm after enjoying Duval. Parking $20 a night extra, WELL worth it. Small pool, but a lovely spot to float any time throughout the day. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Would absolutely return again!

Excellent location within walking distance of Duval Street and many amazing restaurants! Incredible service. My husband and I were just relaxing by the pool and Sammy Miami (one of the owners) came and offered to make us cocktails on the house. Later that night we ran into him while at a bar and he bought us shots!! Super friendly dude who brings the energy and hospitality of Key West. My only question…is Sammy Miami’s full name Samuel Miamuel?? I may never know the truth behind this enigmatic man

My experience far exceeded my expectations. This is truly an extremely classy hotel, whoever owns or designed this getaway should be applauded !! The manner in which it is manicured and maintained deserves 5 STARS !!! No question about it. !! The rooms, grounds, pool, wine room and overall atmosphere are of the highest quality to the smallest details. Being on my fourth passport, I consider myself a world traveler both domestically and abroad and have acquired the ability to recognize minor to significant details about a hotel organization, clearly this establishment deserves these comments, as well as, the effort of myself to make additional time and applaud, The Gardens Hotel, in Old Town Key West. If you plan to visit Key West in the near future believe me, it’s worth your time to enjoy this truly wonderful & extraordinary experience The Gardens Hotel. !!!!

We love this place, nice comfy bed, clean room, and a great pool, etc. We just got back from a nice relaxing vacation, Sammy was really nice and friendly. I love how he makes you feel like family as well. Also, I'm very happy that my dog could stay with me in my room. I can't wait to go back in 2 months to stay here again. I highly recommend staying with Garden House if you want to visit Key West.

We are a couple from Spain, and we planned to be in Miami 8 day (First Week of Nov 22), being the last 2 nights in Key West in this nice Hotel: The Garden House. Unfortunately, 1 day before our road trip to Key west, there was a Huracan warning in Miami (Nicole). Despite we were out of the possible period of cancellation of the booking, Kevin, the Manager of this hotel understood perfectly our situation. He thought in our security and in our safety and he accepted to refund the money. We are so thankful to this hotel for their kindness and so sad for not being able to go there and enjoy this charm hotel. Be sure that if we have the opportunity to come back to Miami, we will stay at this nice hotel with these good people. Many thanks

We've had one bad stay in 2 years of visiting Key West (a resort) but this place was up with the best. Sammy's as mad a box of frogs and the perfect host, taking care of anything we needed. John's a star, loves a chat and has plenty of tales to share. The hotel is in the perfect spot for walking around the town. The room we had (top floor Queen) was tight but workable for a couple of days and nicely cleaned and presented. *Keep the AC on when out as it can get a little damp. Definitely a place we'd go back to.

We had a lovely one night stay in #4. Clean, comfortable room which was exactly what we were looking for! The innkeeper was extremely kind and helpful. He made us a cocktail after we were parked and checked in. His canine helper was incredibly precious, as well. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed in #2 for three nights of poor sleep due to the lights shining into the room from the windows and door. The window coverings are poor quality- curtains would help to block the light. Sammy did change one of the lights after the first night after emailing him…it really didn’t change much. Also, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The towel rack, window and remote was broken in the room. I get Key West charm but for $400/night a little more attention to the room quality would go a long way. Location is great and laid back setting. Easy check-in and limited off street parking for $20/day.

When you think 'garden' house you think flowering plants and fragrant scents. The plants at this place were wilted, brown and hadn't been trimmed in months. Our 'host(ess)' was friendly enough, but the room (#1) was 11x11 ft at best. Could barely move around. There is no indoor, climate-controlled gathering area on the premises, the outdoor 'courtyard' is small as is the pool. The breakfast is store-bought packaged fare, except for the waffles, which were very good. Lots of noise from other guests made it difficult to sleep. Little ambience. Centrally located though. Would never stay there again.

It was amazing!!! Super cozy & the beds were beyond comfortable. Everyone was super friendly, making you feel right at home. We booked last min. They even called to make sure we knew exactly how to get in after hours. It was all just a great experience. We will be staying here every key west trip from here on out. Loved it!!

Very cozy and welcoming bed and breakfast located near the heart of Downtown Key West. About 4 blocks from Duval St and only 1 block from the wharf. What really made this place shine was the service. The manager Sammie was incredibly welcoming and resourceful. Breakfast waffles were also delicious. Only downside is the size of the rooms. Somewhat small bathrooms and showers. Overall a very pleasant experience and would recommend.

Sami Miami is a cool cat. Do t pass on this place. Good vibes and fun people. A very relaxing spot off the beaten path but close to Duval St…we will definitely stay here again.

Excellent location, so close to all the restaurants and bars off Duval street. Management is very helpful and makes you feel like the place is your home. Sammy was amazing to be around, always making drinks for the guests and good for laughs. Cute little pool in back, very private place. Fair price on rooms, will definitely be back in the future.

We had such a wonderful stay in November at The Garden House. We went for a family vacation with my MIL and her husband. We had a total of 6 of us that flew in from TX. Sammye was the best host and the B&B is a charming little place. He was there to greet us and emailed us all the info we needed ahead of time. He offered up great recommendations to check out. It is located in a very central location to many attractions and restaurants/bars. Walking distance or a short distance in an Uber to everything! It was clean and breakfast was great....Sammye makes killer waffles and yogurt parfaits! We will definitely be staying again when we return on our next trip.

We love this place- the location is so convenient to downtown to see the Sun set or head out to Duval St. The rooms are comfy. Sammy is a great host, very attentive and happy to help.

Staff was very friendly. Our room was small but clean and tidy. The location is very convenient for walking to the waterfront, marina's, Duval street and many restaurants and bars while still being tucked away in quite spot. The spa was very nice aswell as the out door seating areas. I highly recommend if you are looking for a nice quaint, quiet, convenient and more private feeling place to stay while visiting keywest.

Second time back. Both time were greeted by the warm and funny Sammi Miami. He made our stay enjoyable . Great location and cute nice warm pool to enjoy all year round. Rooms are better than most bed and breakfast I have stayed at here in Key West. It’s going to be our place to stay next time we are here — which is often.
