We stayed at the Dewey House at the Southern Most Beach Resort. Very nice spot on a little plot of ocean front. The staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was okay. Fresh fruit and pastries are set out and they offer a chef prepared special. The specials seldom appealed to me. I did try the French Toast. It reminded me of what Iā€™d prepare at home. Nothing special. The ocean view room we had did offer a partial view of the ocean. There was a nice little patio with two chairs. About half of our view was obstructed by the exhaust equipment on the roof of their beach restaurant. In fairness I need to check to see if our room was listed with an obstructed view. It does cost extra. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to stay not too far from the action then I recommend the Dewey House. If you are looking for expansive ocean views and a large beach area you may want to look else where.

This is part of the southernmost resort hotel. The room was ok. We thought the room was overpriced. Walls are thin. You had to make sure the door closed or it would not. Service was quick when we had a need. We would stay at the resort again, just not this room.

Get what you pay for and we were very pleased with the quality and services here. Room was very nicely renovated but the balcony area was dated with painted lattice. They go to great lengths to keep the place immaculate. There is a manager on site everyday to see if you need anything. First time I've seen embossed toilet paper, though they only do it on the first day of our stay. The food was amazing and helped offset the phenomenal price tag. Thanks southernmost!

The La Mer & Dewey houses are completely phenomenal! I recently stayed with my husband for our wedding and honeymoon. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for our special trip including checking in on us several times throughout the day of the wedding! Our wedding was offsite, so really was going the extra mile! They provided extra amenities where they could such as giving us breakfast to go when leaving for a snorkel trip and champagne to celebrate the occasion. The innkeepers were very knowledgeable of the area and welcoming, always available when needed. We left giving them hugs so appreciative of everything! The beds are large and comfortable. Rooms are very clean, great decor, and excellent views, whether it be the ocean or the gardens! The housekeeping staff was excellent tidying up the room daily. Breakfast and afternoon snacks were served daily on the oceanfront patio. Very well prepared and a lot to choose from. Extra things such as having cold infused water available all day and a facet to wash your feet as soon as leaving the beach are great examples of the extras touches to be enjoyed here! The houses were very private and quiet, requiring the use of keys to enter the grounds of the house. We very much appreciated this extra step of preventing outside traffic! The beach was only steps away from the houses, including chair, table, umbrella, and towel service. The staff here were also great, setting you up in the spot you requested. The beach cafe is also right on the beach including a walk up bar and ability to order food to eat on the beach versus inside. This was a huge convienance during the trip! The only draw back for us was the price however we decided to splurge due to the nature of the trip. We left saying it was worth every penny and wished we would have stayed longer! Seriously cannot say enough good things! We will be back!!

We stayed here for a week and hopefully the service has gotten better since then. The place is really nice and in a great location, but the service was horrible and could have cost us a lot of extra money. Also, for the price, parking should be free, they charged us extra for it the day we arrived. When we got to our room we noticed they put a wine bar in the room. Before we poured any of it we asked the front desk if this is included in the price of the room, we stayed in the Le Mer Dewey House, and she told us "Oh, yes, that's included, that's why we put it in there". Good thing we didn't drink it, because we later found out it wasn't. We had them remove it and put a microwave in. All, in all, the place is really nice and we would go back, but the front desk should be more knowledgeable about their product/service.

We had a beautiful room with patio access to the pool. Only downside was the music from this area when it was dark. Overall, nice hotel and good service.

The hotel was the best you could probably get in Key West. It still has that old weathered feel to it. The shower was awesome yellow tile, the best part of the room was a dehumidifier. Thank you!!!

My wife and I were greeted upon walking through the door by Tracy, who manages the property. The room was immaculate and the view was outstanding. The breakfasts and afternoon snacks were truly wonderful. The entire staff was professional and courteous. Tracy was very helpful when I asked where to find the best hogfish. She recommended Cafe Sole and I wasn't disappointed. We will definitely be returning.

Somewhat under appreciated gem in Key West. I prefer this over many surrounding properties. It isn't "Little Palm" or "Sunset" but very nice for what it is. Far from hustle & bustle, so if you aren't looking for a more relaxed experience search elsewhere.

Very frustrating in these tiny rooms. The closets have a bar so low that all of your clothes will hang and drag on the Floor, And only 2' across for space really poor design. You will live out of a suitcase for your entire stay because there are no dressers or tables with drawer space but they do have a huge chair and Ottoman and a useless desk. Service is excellent. The pool by the water is very milky and had a oil slick on the top of it. I mentioned it to the manager on duty and he didn't seem to know what was going on. They need to fire the pool company that services it There weren't that many people in the pool for it to look like that We were there for 4 days and it didn't change We did not swim because of that . The pool is not that large they should have been able to take care of it no problem. Next time I will definitely stay somewhere else

After spending only the first night here, I say this place is perfection. Blown away by hospitality and professionalism. The entire southernmost estate is beautiful and well kept. The only complaint I see happening is having to leave. Highly recommend anyone to stay at the Dewey house as it is the epitome of how a b&b is to be run.
