Excellent location on the beach. Beautiful villas and Bernardo provided an excellent service. We may host a wedding here.

Sublime Samana, is an elegantly designed, minimalist oasis and the very best kept secret in the Dominican Republic. Go there for the big, clean, cool rooms and a beach that falls off into tall palm trees and calm but not quiet, kayak friendly, aquamarine waters. Stay there for caring, good humored intelligent service and a very accomplished kitchen – the wet guac and grilled octopus being stand outs. If you love the one your with, the romantic dinner on the edge of the ocean is Sublime🤣 If you are looking, you should probably look to the Wyndham next door. For adventure, Las Terrenas is rough and ready mix of local arts and French and Italian nomads (I don’t know why). Next time we’ll drive because Sublime is so remote, its better by car! Sublime is way better than resorts in Punta Cana that are 3x the price and Samana is heaven on this earth. If there was a 6th star I’d click on it 💥💥💥💥💥💥

Remarkable place! Blocked a casita for a family of 7, including a toddler and it did not disappoint! We all had an amazing time, whether it was at the beach, the pool, spa, jacuzzi, hanging out in the house, going out in the town to explore stores and restaurants, or jumping on a kayak or paddle boarding, everyone had something to enjoy! It was an absolute pleasure staying here! The best past was the staff and the outstanding service they provide! The staff really makes this place extra special! Highly recommend it!

I stayed at Sublime Samana from October 5th to 9th for a wedding weekend, along with a large group. Although we didn't host the wedding celebration on-site, we used the hotel for accommodation. Despite the hotel's picturesque aesthetics, we encountered issues, especially since we arrived just after a remodeling period. The hotel seemed unprepared for such a sizable group, resulting in minor check-in problems that, while manageable, were not ideal. Breakfast service was notably slow, with many guests waiting up to 3-4 hours for their food. This was not only very difficult because people were hungry, but these delays often impacted scheduled planned events because we would never get our food on time. When we voiced our concerns, the staff attributed the delay to having only one person in the kitchen. Additionally, the water would routinely shut off in the evenings, making it impossible to shower between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am after returning from our celebratory events. Some of our guest's rooms even got flooded, including mine. Their staff size made it difficult for them to keep up with room arrangements, timely handicap assistance, and any maintenance issues. On the wedding weekend, the bride discovered the money she stored was missing. In fact, other group members reported similar losses, including my mother, who lost valuable jewelry. When we complained to the front desk, they suggested using the safe, but many of the safety deposit boxes were not functional, a fact we had already communicated upon arrival. Despite informing us that we could file a police report, we opted against it due to time constraints, as we had a flight to catch. The hotel offered no empathy or consideration. Overall, Sublime Samana did not prioritize its guests' needs, safety, or care, despite claiming to be a five-star resort. The customer service, restaurant service, and overall hotel experience did not meet expectations. The bedrooms fell short of a five-star standard, and the staff's dishonesty and thievery were disappointing. The management should be ashamed of their handling of these issues.

Sublime Samana is one of the best kept secret in the Dominican Republic. We had a hiccup with our transportation but they fixed it almost immediately, gave us credit and had the whole chef team reserve a time slot for my girls and I to make delicious yummy treats. The customer service is excellent throughout the whole process, everyone is so attentive, helpful and professional. The food was delicious and they do not just focus on what's on their menu, they cater to everyone's taste and preference. The rooms and hotel areas where clean and constantly replenished. They truly take pride on providing the best services despite the storms and bad weather we experienced. I like to think that this has become one of my favorite spots in my beautiful DR. We will definitely be coming back again! Thank you sublime for making our experience a very unique one!

Sublime Samana exceed my expectations in every way. The beach was amazing with calm water and a sandy bottom with very gradual slope. The beach is great for adults and kids. The restaurants had a good selection of choices for each meal. Everything we ordered was impeccably prepared to look good and taste wonderful. My room was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. The best part was all of the staff. Everyone we encountered madebus feel welcome and was eager to help us in any way they could.

We visit every area of the Hotel, 5 stars to them. The attention is amazing, specially of a guy called Angel that works in the beach area, his attention was super good in all the days that we stayed; he was honest, nice, and respectful. The transportation was also really good, the food was excellent, and the structure of the hotel is beautiful, like a fairy tale.

Run away ! Perfect place if you want to stay in a prison with a view and cocktails. You’ll be unable to have guests from outside. They will kick your guests out in the most disrespectful way. We wanted to have friends over for dinner, and play tennis, but they kicked them out. The price is way more than what is currently done in the area, and the service is not up to the standard they claim to have. Run away and spend a nice holiday !!

Fantastic: beautiful understated luxury. One of the best staff I have had at a hotel. Courteous, friendly, helpful. Food is very good, excellent chef. Manager of food and beverage extremely helpful. Arranged for a pizza making event for my family. 2 bedroom Casitas was splendid. We will back . We stayed 18 nights.

I stayed at Sublime Samana October 5th - 9th with a very large group for my wedding weekend. We did not host our wedding celebration on site simply used as accommodation for our group. The hotel Sublime is beautiful, it is picture perfect as far as the aesthetics. However, we arrived the day that opened up after a remodeling period. To say the least the hotel was not prepared for such a large group. During check in minor issues occurred which where manageable and not substantial to ruin our vacation. Service during breakfast was extremely slow. Many people waited about 2 hours for food to get served. When we complained to the service staff they would say "sorry its only one person in the kitchen". Besides the slowness in service, every evening the water will shut off. After a certain time the entire hotel will go with out water. Once we arrived to the hotel after our celebratory gatherings outside of the hotel a shower was necessary but impossible because the water would be off from 11:00pm - 5:00am. When I called the front desk I would get a sorry response "sorry for the inconvenience Ive gotten calls from other rooms we are trying to handle the situation". Again this was my wedding weekend so I was not trying to let anything ruin my mood or add stress as I already had a lot to deal with. However, the final inconvenience was when I noticed money I had put away was missing. Money that I remember storing to have available through out the weekend and after check out. On our check out date I received numerous calls from other parties of our group claiming they too had lost cash or important belongings. My mother who was staying with me in the presidential suite lost two very valuable pieces of jewelry. At this point I was outrage. Some of us went to the front desk to share our complaints and got the response "you should have used the safe". I then reminded them many of the safety deposit boxes were not working and many of us had informed the front desk upon arrival. They informed us we can file a police report that it would take about 2-4 Hours. We decided not to do the police report because we had to be at the airport in less than 3 hours and could not afford to also loose our flight. We where not offered any empathy or consideration. Overall, the hotel does not have their guests needs, safety and care as a priority. While they claim to be a five star resort the customer service, restaurant service and hotel care was not up to part. The bed rooms were not five star material. The staff is filled with thieves and liars. Management should be ashamed of themselves.

:This hotel is beautiful. One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Staff is friendly and helpful. I had very high expectations about this hotel since they are a member of Small Luxury Hotels. The food was mediocre. There were some issues with shower head and jacuzzi. If they improve minor details I believe they would be up to standard. A staff member stated they are shutting down for September to update. Over all very nice place.

Beautiful location, quiet with lovely staff. Nice spacious rooms with some good facilities (watersports, spa, tennis, etc). Really enjoyed our stay! Only downside was jacuzzi on the balcony - needed filling every time by staff and was always cold, kids playground needs updating, food OK but overpriced for what it is. Found better options outside the hotel.

Pure heaven. Idyllic property. Posh accommodations. Friendly helpful staff. Delicious food. Comfy beds. Modern kitchens. Spacious bath. Impeccably maintained.

It's a big deception this trip, because we've been more than 4 times before and we could find that the maintenance of the hotel is pretty bad, but not the employees I'm talking about the management. We asked to use the 2 jacuzzi we had in our roos, and both were broken, so... The food in the restaurant is very good and the service is perfect The spa is perfect, too. They were doing some handyman in the wood beds so we could find all the pool dirty and the noise was horrible. If you have to do this kind of work, maybe you have to close the hotel temporarily. The employees more than perfect

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - arrived on a Saturday- jacuzzi literally caught ON FIRE first night- staff had to spray whole thing with multiple fire extinguishers. Only lukewarm showers for 3 nights, only by WEDS did we have hot showers. The main bedroom in 3 bedroom casita had no AC and was super humid. That room had this big Frigidaire dehumidifier in it upon arrival which speaks to the fact that room had a problem and smelled dank. Despite the other 2 bedrooms and living room having cold perfect AC, they told me the main bedroom lack of AC and humidity was “normal it’s the Caribbean”. Maintenance man then showed up and agreed not functional and needed to fill tank with refrigerant. Additional irritants- remote controls for TVs had either missing or dead batteries, sink wouldn’t drain. Things are fixed when asked, but there were so many cumulative issues it really prevented relaxation. Never coming back. Also: rip- off restaurant - 280 USD for mediocre dinner for 4. It’s a shame because lovely setting, and the staff working at beach and restaurant were incredibly warm and lovely people providing high service at that level.

It was truly a beach paradise, the rooms are huge with 2 bathrooms, 2 televisions and large balconies with lounge chairs overseeing the beautiful pools, the food is Michelin-quality all the time and they even have daily specials of fresh catch of the day and barbecue, the staff is beyond helpful and extremely friendly, particularly Felix, Alexander and Augusto, who can't do enough for you. They have fun excursions available for all varieties of guest, as well as yoga and tennis on site. If you're looking to recharge, get away from the noise, and immerse yourself in nature, absolutely come here.

I give this Hotel 5 stars!!! The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and attentive! My stay included breakfast, which I must say was very tasty. The hotel has a nice big pool with outside bar and executive beach. You will only be a 15 minute drive to center of it all Las Terrenas. If you are planning to stay here, i highly recommend this establishment.

First impressions were very positive. The calm and serenity, the beauty of the grounds... When we got into the room, we were even more amazed. Modern, clean, but also huge and very homely. The beach is spectacular, so are the pools but they remain mostly decorative. Two things brought down our initial impressions from 5 to 4 stars, taking into account that this is both a Dominican, but also a Small Leading Hotels of the World resort: - the food was really a letdown. Whilst the pumpkin hummus with steak and the fried snapper were very tasty, the squid rice was honestly insulting (no squid, too greasy and too dry). Prices are quoted tax and service free, and are way too high for DR, even for a luxury hotel given the mixed quality. There is no nearby alternative so we effectively felt trapped into paying up for something disappointing, but we found out about an app called Komida which connected us to all of Las Terrenas' local restaurants with delivery service. A relief. Breakfast was good but not great (we had better mangu everywhere else we went before). - service was on point and very kind throughout, but at checkout it was the coldest, almost rudest and most inefficient process we'd seen in a while. We called half an hour before to ask for a taxi, for its price too, and for an internal transport to the ATM, and we ended up wasting almost one hour of our day waiting for everything to actually take place once we had checked out. The reception lady didn't think it was necessary to greet us with a smile. You may argue these are details, but they are the little things that make us choose a hotel over another one. We'd certainly come back for the place, the comfort and the service, but we'd consider alternatives with a better pricing and better/more varied food options.

The Hotel was great, the Staff was really friendly at all times and helpful! Especially Felix, Pedro and Leonardo. The rooms get cleaned twice the day, which is great. If you want to eat in the Hotel other than the included Breakfast than be ready to pay a higher price, but it's very tasty! BUT the reason they only get 3 stars is because they chase away the 1 or 2 dogs that come around. All the guests love these dogs and cuddle with them and the security treat them very bad. That alone is a reason why i would not go back to this Hotel!!

Rooms, service, atmosphere, 5 stars for everything. A very quiet place to relax. I loved it so much I extended my stay another day. And the food is the best I've had on the island! Exceptional place!

🫤 I booked this hotel based on the good reviews but was quite disappointed. Las Terrenas is great but this hotel sort of ruined the experience.
