UPDATE: I filed a complaint through the BBB. Shadow Emergency Physicians stated they would be removing the account from my collections and sending me the actual medical bill I supposedly have. Joke is on me, they utilized the information so they now have my address and gave it to the collections firm they use. I finally got a letter for collections though...shady as all heck. Get a lawyer if you’re gonna fight them, as I have now done. Got a notification from my credit monitoring that I had a collection account from them. I have NEVER been here. If y’all find this on your account you NEED to report it! This is fraud! Even if I had been there, pretty sure my insurance would cover it. $800+ collections account and I NEVER received a bill or any notification I even had this account. Ridiculous! How have I never been here and I have a collection account through them?

I went to Sentara ER for a cut finger. They never told me that they use Shadow Emergency Physicians. They quack I saw was a physicians assistant who did not properly numb my hand when he stitched me up. The doctor was more painful than the actual accident. This scammer ER company billed me almost $700 to have assistant put a few sutures in my finger and did not even appear he knew what he was doing. Compare that to the doctor who charged me $40 for appointment to remove the sutures. DONT USE SENTARA, they lie to you about the charges and don't tell you about the other hidden charges. Sentara told me on the phone before I we to ER that the bill would be around $600 or $800 at the most if they did not give me financial assistance. Sentara and Shadow are thieves in disguise of medical professionals.

Too bad no stars is not an option. Provided meaningless care while in hospital. Hospital was in network. They billed an outrageous out of network charge despite having the correct insurance information. I am going on two years with their bill unresolved. Several times they put it into further review and said I would receive communication after 90 days. They would never mail any update and I would have to call months later. I finally was able to get them to speak on the phone with my insurance directly, resulting in another "90 day review". Again, no updates. I finally received a collections notice.. the only positive is that the charge was actually corrected to something reasonable. However, I never received a bill for this corrected amount!

Well, apparently this place is a big scam! I just got a bill, over $1600, one year later. Transworld Systems Inc has been calling me, every week, at times everyday for the past two months. They can't tell me the date of service or the doctor who is billing, nor does it say who's billing on their statement. I told them my daughter has "medicaid" and they said, "well, their not paying." When I called medicaid insurance, they said, "they (Shadow Emergency) never submitted the proper forms to be paid." And on and on and on. I can't believe, with all the complaints, that this "emergency service" is still in business. This is absolutely absurd!

So just heard of this company today when I got a letter from my insurance company asking did I receive the services. It was from January and this is july. I was pregnant in January and wouldn't have went to a different provider than my normal. Never heard of them before don't know where they are and they build my insurance for over $2,500. Yep a complete scam.

they deserve a 0 star rating. this company is deceitful and sent me to collections without consulting me or my insurance company.

So, I have 3 dings on my credit report from a collection agency (National Recovery Agency) for this company. The 3 dings are the same account number and the balance owed is exactly the same. I disputed the account and the company is saying it is 3 separate bills and they are supposed to mail me something. I find it hard to believe that I had been charged exactly the same amount, with the same account number 3 times. I'm not sure where to go from here but there is no way their information is correct.

These idiots hit my credit for 1888 and I never even been seen there dropped my score by 26 points overnight, I haven't been to an emergency room in years!!!!!! Might I mention I have never been to this place a day in my life!!!!!!!!

What a fraud! My insurance was covering emergency bills, and I maximized my out of pocket and deductible that year anyhow. This shadow emergency kept sending me bills of 50$ and i wheat back and forward providing them my insurance info where I’m not supposed to pay emergency bills. They sent me to collection and never contacted my insurance company! I’ve been trying to dispute this 50$ for a while and nothing really happened. This 50$ is still on my credit record and effecting my score. What a scam!

What a joke. First the idiot misses my diagnosis of meningitis and tells me I'm basically faking my headache. Ok, it's Vegas, that is understandable. I used to live there, I understand most people are fake. But then they bill my old insurance company from when I lived in Nevada 5 years prior. Even though they were given my updated address in another state and current insurance info when I checked in just like any other hospital visit in my life. Since they were sending the bills to an address in Nevada that I have not lived at for 5 years, I never received their bill and only found out about it when it was posted to my credit report as in collections. I had an 800+ credit score with all 3 Bureaus, which is now temporarily ruined while this gets billed properly to my current health insurance company. Bad doctors, even worse administration. You're going to tell me that they couldn't look in my chart and see the photo ID and insurance card I presented with at the hospital and think..."oh, maybe this is where we should bill him?". Why is it my job to make sure they have my info correct when they were given my current drivers license and insurance card at check in. Yet another reason I will never again live in Las Vegas. Everyone there is nearly brain dead. Dumbest city in America, by far.
