I had high expectations for my visit, but unfortunately, I encountered multiple issues that greatly impacted my overall experience. Firstly, the air conditioning in my room was extremely poor, with no proper airflow. It was impossible to sleep comfortably, and I spent restless nights during my stay. I brought this to the attention of the front desk staff, but no satisfactory solution was provided. Secondly, the room had a musty, unpleasant odor, and it was quite evident that it had not been properly cleaned before my arrival. The level of cleanliness was far below the standard I expected from a hotel of your reputation. In addition, I was disappointed to find that there was no toothbrush provided, an essential item that should be available to all guests. These issues significantly impacted my comfort and enjoyment during my stay at your hotel. As a valued customer, I kindly request that you take appropriate measures to address and rectify these problems, to ensure that future guests do not face similar inconveniences. Stay one night in November 2022 in Premium Room of 1 Queen Bed. The sanitation was very bad, there was very dirty sheet, many stains on it , and long hair left by the previous customer; the sewer in the bathroom was blocked, and the stagnant water after taking a shower continued until the next morning It's still there; the tissue box in the bathroom is so broken that it will fall if touched; rubbish on the floor of the elevator. The conditions of the entire hotel are very disappointing. I provided all these information to hotel manager with a lot of on-site photos to reflect the actual situation. Very bad experience.

Good hotel, by the lake side and easily connected to the main train station. Use M2 metro, with few minutes walking distance from several bus stations. There is also near by good selection of restaurants and cafes. Hotel breakfast starts at 630 till 10 which is very rich in spacious room. They are doing some renovation when I was there last time. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Today my family and I came to eat ice cream. We have not been here for a long time, but we were pleasantly surprised by the changes. Although we had to wait a bit, we were advised how long to wait, then we got a table on the terrace overlooking the lake! Very polite staff, especially Fred. The staff is really unfriendly, the overall atmosphere is cold and sad. I had to chose this hotel because we held a business meeting there starting early in the morning. For the same price you can have a much better experience elsewhere. I have been there other times for the same reason. Provided feedback and nothing seems to change. I had a chance to spend a 7 nights in such a magnificent hotel. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, you could find anything there: ham, pastry, jams, honey, all kinds of eggs you could wish that lovely restaurant staff will be able to serve you At the same time the room itself remains really neat and nicely designed, you would never think that it has been renovated, but on the contrary the rooms looks like the last peak of fashion. The most I enjoyed the reception. People are really professional and hardworking. I can clearly see that they are professionals in the hospitality industry. They helped me a lot in checking-in and creating an Accor account. Now I will be able to start my journey with the Accor family! I would recommend anyone to stay here 100/100

I will not stay at this property OR any other Movenpick in the future based upon this stay. My husband and I checked in for a few days as he had a conference nearby. The hotel was recommended. Check in took forever with all the paperwork unlike American hotel chains. The agent checking us in knew we were together. After check in, I attempted to get a late lunch in the hotel restaurant. Forget that...it was closed. They would not accommodate me. I later discovered that in Switzerland, lunch stops at 2 PM. I understand but it's a hotel not a stand alone restaurant. I went to the grocery next door and purchase a sandwich. Checking out, the agent charged us an extra fee as the room contained two people. I've never heard of such a thing. Anyway, there are much better lodging options in Lausanne. We will not be returning.

Beautiful view from the hotel rooms, if your lucky to get a higher floor. Excellent view of the lake. Great breakfast. Rooms are good enough. There might be some cracks in the sink but it’s not a big deal. Rooms are spacious. Bedding needs improvement.

Hotel was comfortable and convenient. Pillows are too soft though although there are options for us to request for different kinds of additional pillows! The real downside though was that the WiFi in our room was not working 2 out of 3 nights of our stay.

I stayed in the hotel with my family and it was not a good experience and not recommend this branch for the hotel. There is no parking for the hotel it a public parking and they give you a discounted but it not working, also there is no soundproof during our stay we have to enduer the noiesy till 11 PM and in the weekend until midnight. And the air condition is the worst the air so poor and when i call them they said we will help you and they never do thanks god I stayed only for 2 days

Wonderful short stay. Everything was excellent: food, location, room, and service. They went the extra mile and opened the breakfast buffet 15 min early to accommodate our group departure by bus early in the morning.

Not as expected, the room was too small and the furniture was old and the bed not comfortable The shower was narrow and weak stream. The parking garage was very tight and difficult to park your car although you pay 36 franc daily. They didn't not give us the room when we arrive at 2:30pm and we wait for half an hour in the lobby.

A great location if you're taking an IMD course :) also, close to the marina. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well designed. The breakfast is lavish even if a bit dull (small selection of fresh veggies and fruit). Overall, good if you need the location.

Amazing hotel, super clean, modern (think USB plus at bedside) and friendly staff. Cloudy day, but the view still awes. Lausanne is a beautiful town - and this hotel sits on the shores of Lake Geneva (Lac Lemain) with sailboats moored out front. Peaceful walks along the shores in spring bring cool air across the lac and the fragrance of blooms too numerous to count. Add in these funky trees er voila! A wonderful experience.

Stayed on 12-14 April 2023 in Movenpick Lausanne. They provide poor room service. One day they forget to replace 2 bottles of complimentary water for our room, when i called the room service to get the complimentary water, they charge us CHF11 for two bottles of water. We have to pay for their mistake? What a lousy hotel!

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Personnel was courteous & very helpful. It is located centrally and only 2 blocks from the metro station. The room was clean and very comfortable. Across the street was a fairground with live music, kids rides like a carousel etc. but our room was very quiet. We enjoyed the 10 km. walk along the waterfront

Very nice location and good breakfast with prosecco. This hotel was very busy when we were there. A popular choice for events, I suppose. Small room but well designed for comfort. If you don't want a bathtub shower, ask for a walk in shower room when you make reservations. Walking distance to Olympic museum, the marina and just hop on to the CGN to Evian, France.

Within blocks from the Ouchy-Olympique metro stop, this hotel is located right across from Lake Geneva with a few small restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The rooms are clean and large by European standards and the breakfast buffet is great. Nespresso machines with 6 capsules provided. The one minor thing is that during the summer, it’s hard to really cool down the room since their AC system is based on a water pump system from the lake. Therefore, all the rooms are relatively the same temperature and you can only deviate by 3 or so degrees.

The beds need new mattresses. I felt like I was sleeping on a hammock. I had a twin room, and both were sunk in the middle. The hotel has a great location and a delicious breakfast buffet. It is two blocks from the metro and a block from a grocery store.

Good hotel with spacious rooms and excellent breakfast. Coffee and tea making facilities were complete with a coffee maker and kettle. We find the temperature control in our room is not consistent as it’s sometimes too warm and sometimes too cold.

We were very impressed by the staff here. So customer service friendly! Great place to stay. Their restaurant is good, as well.

Poor & dirty air conditioning Extremely expensive/small/dirty parking Unprofessional staffs (especially one of beverage staff) We had to come back at hotel after check-out as we forgot a bag in the bathroom. While the manger & receptionist tried to help my husband within an hour to find out the bag. The beverage staff came to me while i park in front of hotel and said: “Madame, you know that you will get a fine if you park here (which autorise in front of hotel)”. I told him “oh sorry but I’m the guest of your hotel, my baby is crying behind & it’s 32 degrees outside”. He just didn’t care and said “I don’t know, the police will come if you’re still here”. Finally we got help from front desk for a free short parking until they found my bag. I just want to say to that guy, please bring your kindness to people around instead of react like you’re a police even you’re just a low knowledge staff

Lovely rooms , very central hotel. Hotel is opposite the lake and has lovely views from the windows. One of the few hotels that we stayed at in Switzerland that had insect screens on the windows. Wonderful fresh air without insects.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed in Switzerland as a tour manager with groups. It is located right in front of Lake Geneva. Great place to try a cruise voyage on Lake Geneva as the piers are at walking distance. The location is also closer to the Olympic Museum in Lausanne. Food, service and rooms are very nice!

Excellent stay. We had an executive suite on the top floor. Excellent view. Two great restaurants on site. I recommend both! Service is impeccable. Parking is in a municipal underground parking garage across the street, but it is easily accessible, clean, and about 20 euros a day. Hotel will give you tickets for discount on parking cost.

The location of the hotel is impeccable with the views on mountains and lake. The proximity to IMD was a huge advantage for me. Everything from service, rooms to restaurant is of the highest quality.

This is one of those places that I cannot recommend! It's a shame, but that's the way it is. It's very hard to get enthusiastic about any part of the experience. Perhaps I've ordered the wrong dishes but at those prices and from this brand one would expect more.

Reservation was made in advance but was not found in the System . So we waited for almost one hour at the Reception till we get our Room Keys . The next day the entry to the Breakfast was refused because apparently there was no Breakfast included in the Reservation . After clearing that myself with the Reception it was ok

Wonderful stay at the harbour of Lausanne! Nice, location rooms and breakfast. I am only disappointed that the hotel charges its guests 35chf for parking, while its only 8 or 18chf across the street. Also we had we wait in line outside the hotel for a drink in the hotel bar. Bad service, when I want a drink in my hotel I really don't wait to line up outside the hotel?!

I have been there for more than 30 years (first visit in May 1988) and enjoyed a total satisfaction. My last visit to the restaurant was a nightmare. The usually busy dining room was empty, the seats were dirty, both menus with dirty greasy pages… We ordered two Zürich style veal Schitzels and found in our plates a greasy supposed-to-be rösti looking like a potato patty and a bowl of a stinky, sour, overcooked mixture of mushrooms, near-to-be-rotten veal in an indescriptible sauce. We immediately asked for our bill and asked subsequently for its refund that was given out of the waiter’s pocket as the restaurant manager was not there at 1:30 pm. Bye bye MÖvenpick Lausanne now belonging to the French Accor Group.

Service at the restaurant is a desaster. Orders not well taken. Delays. Cutlery forgotten. Mistakes. Many waiters but no one professional. All trainees I guess ?! Disappointing while the plate is over chf 40.-

Great location. The larger rooms have huge balconies. The front desk is friendly but somewhat inefficient, they failed to tell us on time that they could give us free public transportation passes that also offer discounts on museum admission. Housekeeping was just bad: They haven't changed sheets throughout our 4 day stay, they haven't replenished toiletries without being prompted.

Location's great - it's near most of the things you'd want to visit in Ouchy, and the room is ok. My only complaint is the food choices during breakfast. We stayed here for three weeks and breakfast remained the same day in and day out. It would be good if they offered more variety.

Is it a coincidence both times I stayed here (3 years apart)I had cash missing? This time it wasn’t just bills, but all the way to petty coins.Of course with cash missing one can’t prove anything so I didn’t accuse anyone of anything. However if you must stay here, use the safe.

Despicable experience! In the hotel’s restaurant I had the worst experience of my entire life. Waitress disqualified for the role, extremely arrogant, uneducated and abused when talking to customers. Frustrating that the restaurant recruits such unqualified professionals. Unbelievable and unacceptable behavior. I've never had a similar experience in any restaurant in the world, and I didn't expect to have this experience in Switzerland! We had a despicable experience at this restaurant and will never return. I definitively do not recommend this restaurant!!!

Reay good hotel where we held a conference. All meals excellent, good coffee supply, ironing kit in rooms, excellent cleanliness and bathrooms. Really enjoyed it.

Beautifully located Great rooms and good service. Good breakfast. Television with plenty of channels. Managed to watch some Europa action too.

Their service was perfect. I had dessert there and the quality was also high. Just their ice cream with pistachio flavor was not very delicious. I prefer to try other taste.

We just stopped here on our way through Lausanne Ouchy for a quick lunch. We know Ouchy from Years back, before the Mövenpick was even built. We arrived at about 4pm in the afternoon, so we were really pleased to find their restaurant open. And the service was very welcoming. We both had Burgers, which with a couple of soft drinks, which came to about 80 swiss francs. Will stay at the hotel next time, hopefully.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in, in recent memory. Modern, well designed, great food and service, delightful hotel staff, beautiful, spacious rooms, great location with wonderful views.

The bed was really hard. The rest of the room was good and quiet. But for the restaurant you have to love the red wine served ice cold, like a beer. They serve all wine directly from the refrigerator. The food was very tasty but the sauce was too thin, like a soup. Beside that they forgot the wine to serve and as I requested (with the main dish already served) they also brought the starter😂

I stayed here one night for work. Rooms are okay. View on the lake is just amazing. The bed was a bit hard but acceptable. Breakfast was good and complete in my opinion.

Nice view on the lake. Good location by funiculaire and Migros. Healthy to walk by the lake. Room is small but modern and tidy. Shower is not good; pressure and cold hot issues. I burnt myself twice due to suddenly changing heat levels. Very expensive breakfast at 35 CHF so take it from Migros next door. Nice hospitality people but I will think twice before I go there again.

Nice location by the lake, close to metro, and grocery store next door. Clean room with comfortable adjustable bed and a chair. Friendly service, would come back if I was in town again.

Best hotel I’ve stayed for the holidays. This hotel was the most relaxing two days I have stayed for the holidays! I came with my family to this hotel and the first thing I realize is all the kind staff! I have never seen such kind staffs before, secondly the rooms were perfectly cleaned. Thirdly, breakfast and dinner was really delicious!!! I wanna go back and eat the food there haha. The only problem was the stains in the bed, and the weird view from our window. but it’s okay though since I had a good sleep! I would really like to come back here! Very worth it especially if you have the sea view.

With a lake front view from the lobby & restaurant and a 1 minute walk from the metro, the hotel has a really good location. It also helped that my campus (IMD) was just 5 minutes walk from the hotel so the rains didn't bother me much. The beds are comfortable and the window seat ingenious! The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is environmentally conscious - has replaced plastics with recycled paper packaging and also gives residents the option to skip cleaning when not necessary.
