The Château d'Ouchy, also known as the Castle of Ouchy, is a historic castle located on the shores of Lake Geneva in Lausanne, Switzerland. Originally built in the 12th century, the castle has undergone numerous renovations and changes throughout its long history. Today, it is a luxurious hotel that retains many of its original features, including a tower and a moat. The castle's location on the shores of Lake Geneva provides stunning views of the water and the surrounding mountains. One of the castle's most famous owners was the powerful Savoyard family, who used it as a summer residence in the 14th and 15th centuries. The castle was also the site of several important historical events, including the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne in 1564. In addition to its historical significance, the Château d'Ouchy is also known for its luxurious accommodations and amenities. The hotel offers a variety of guest rooms and suites, many of which feature stunning views of the lake. There are also several on-site restaurants, a spa, and a fitness center, making it an ideal destination for both leisure and business travelers. Overall, the Château d'Ouchy is a fascinating historical landmark and a luxurious modern hotel. Its stunning location and rich history make it a must-see destination for anyone visiting Lausanne or the surrounding area.

Great location right on the lake and next to the metro. The room was clean, nice and had eveyyou need. The hotel itself had a full bar and dining area, as well as a spa/ sauna. I definitely recommend visiting Lausanne and staying at this hotel because it is lakefront, and just a few minutes from the city center. You can take the metro from here and it's only 3-4 stops from city center.

A pleasant hotel with some rooms enjoying an unbroken view of the Lake of Geneva. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't have in-house dining on Mondays!!! As it was miserable weather, walking around searching for suitable dining for both lunch and dinner was an ordeal.

Beautiful hotel right on the lake with fantastic views. Our rooms were lovely and really comfortable. The breakfast was stunning with the view and the options you could have. We will remember this experience with great fondness. Thank you all the staff at Chateau d'Ouchy. What a great place.

Most comfy bed and pillows! Great sauna and steam room included, lots of great tea! Came in December so the outdoor pool was closed but I imagine it would be stunning in summertime. Right on Lake Geneva!

The Riviera Suite is one of the most beautiful hotel rooms I have every stayed in, and the views are spectacular (particularly at sunset). The staff were all kind and helpful. It was a really great stay. Thank you.

As a Globalist member of the Hyatt group, I've consistently enjoyed exceptional service at their hotels worldwide. However, my experience at Château d'Ouchy in Lausanne was unfortunately subpar and far from what I've come to expect from the Hyatt brand. Room: I was given a room on the topmost floor, which boasted only a tiny window and no views whatsoever. It was particularly disheartening considering my membership tier, which typically entitles me to superior accommodations. Billing Issues: The disappointment was further compounded when, despite having redeemed points for my stay, I found a full night's rate charged to my credit card upon checking out. Although the staff eventually corrected the error after a 20-minute delay, the exchange rate discrepancies resulted in a shortfall of around $10 on my refund. There was no attempt to compensate for this oversight. Service: I was taken aback by the lack of communication regarding check-out times. Being a Globalist member, I am privy to late check-out privileges. However, I received several phone calls around noon, urging me to vacate the room. The tone was unprofessional and lacked the courtesy I've become accustomed to at other Hyatt properties. I sincerely hope the Hyatt group takes note of these shortcomings and ensures that the service at Château d'Ouchy aligns with the high standards set by the brand globally.

Amazing hotel in a wonderful city. The moment you enter, you feel the luxury and comfort. All personnel is kind and helpful. The location is the best possible. We stayed in a deluxe room which was beutiful. It's a chateu in the end so they welcome you like kings and queens :)

We stayed for 1 night and it was perfect for us. We booked direct on the website, and as a gesture of appreciation, they gave us a room upgrade to a lake view room and 2 glasses of proseco. Great service! The view is stunning - direct on the lake. Excellent location.

Wasn't quite the 4-star experience I was expecting. It's still a great hotel, but had several misses. The room felt a bit dated—the sink didn't drain properly, the light switches were finicky, one of the lamps had a bad plug, and there was also a bad outlet connected to the coffee machine. Also, the towel warmer in the bathroom didn't work, although, I think that's because the heat for the building wasn't turned on, which was inconvenient because it's the middle of October. The temperature was chilly in the evening. The breakfast was tasty, however, the temperature of the hot food was cold along with the room we were seated in. That confirmed my thought about the building heating being turned off. Overall, none of these issues were massive problems; just expected better from this hotel considering its price and service level.

I loved the location and feel of this hotel. It's unique and each room has a bit of a different feel/size, but the amenities were the same. Although you aren't in the 'center' of the city or too close to the train station, there is a bus and tram line very close and it's easy to take the 4 stops to the hotel - which is easily made up with the access to walk the lake. We didn't eat at the hotel, but there were plenty of options nearby and the items we saw there looked wonderful. They were kind enough to check our luggage a day early while we went to a smaller town so that we didn't have to take everything with us and that was extremely helpful.

Our stay in this historic hotel was absolutely fantastic. We booked a superior room with a lake view since we were only staying one night and decided to splurge! We arrived at the hotel before check in time and were delighted to get upgraded to a larger room with the lake view. This was the largest and nicest room that I’ve stayed in anywhere in Europe. The main room had two windows facing the lake. There was a separate washroom (toilet and sink) and bathing room (large bath tub / separate shower stall). Bathrobes were provided along with plenty of towels. All the fixtures were high quality and in perfect condition. All beverages in the fridge were complimentary. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel is located right on Lake Geneva with great views of the lake. We walked to the Port of D’Ouchy to watch the sunset. It was nice to see many locals in addition to tourists enjoying the beauty of the port. The metro station Ouchy-Olympique is 100 m from the hotel and transport passes were provided for our stay. City sights including the Cathedral Notre Dame de Lausanne are readily accessible via the metro. In summary we had a great stay at the Chateau D’Ouchy and hope to return again.

Beautiful hotel in perfect location. Rooms were excellent except for air conditioning. Has thermostat but no matter what setting, the temperature continued to increase. Fan provided

Beautiful hotel built inside a castle. Perfect location next to Lake Geneva, dining, and less than two minute walks to metro that brings you into town or to the central station that’s can get you about anywhere in Europe.

OMG, this was one of the best places we have ever stayed! And we travel a lot. It's a gorgeous building centrally located to everything. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to stay in the tower and had views on 4 sides. Fabulous!!

We were at the bar, sat outside on a warm summer evening, had some drinks and looked at the sunset over the Geneva lake. It is located close to the promenade around the lake with beautiful views. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the service can get slow on busy evenings but that's OK when one is not in a hurry. The cocktails are quite pricey but delicious. Overall a pleasant experience.

The room was more than perfect for my week-long stay for business. The service was excellent. Every staff member was very friendly and accommodating. The location was amazing. Waterfront to Lac Léman to enjoy the view and all the events that were happening.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Fantastic location right across from the train station and in front of the ferry. You can't ask for a better spot. Beautiful breakfast on the terrace. Lovely service and room.

Superb hotel with brilliant staff. Location is great but parking limited and pricey if you're driving there. Typical Swiss prices for things (!) and who buy cigars in this day and age? Rooms were well serviced, clean and spacious; air conditioning was a bit agricultural sounding in our room, but view was great, bed comfortable and mini-bar well stocked. A minor niggle with a leaking shower screen did not detract from a pleasant stay.

Perfect location near the lake. The service is fine, nothing special. The building is pretty old as expected. The room we have has a partial lake view and it's large. The bathroom is really large comparing with the rest part of the room. The breakfast buffet is good as well and you can see the lake while sitting outside.

Wonderful hotel in a stellar location right on the lake and steps to the Olympic museum. Our room was well cooled and spacious and offered a wonderful view. The hotel itself is built around what appears to be an old Watch tower or something but all done in a classy way. It’s also right across the street from the metro which you can get from the train station. I’d stay there again for sure.

We had a weekend staycation there. Everything was perfect, from the staff to the rooms to the spa. Bonus for the restaurant, dinner was great and the breakfast was excellent. Don't miss it!

A very nice luxurious bar. We noticed the terrace in the summer time and we love castles, so we just decided to go after our hike on the lake.

Very impressed with reception who helped us get a cab to the station in 3-5 minutes when the metro was down so that we could make our train! We had a nice experience here. The lunch was great and had a businesslike atmosphere. The lobby has a very cute cocktail bar. I also loved the view and the proximity to the metro.

Great hotel if, of course, slightly on the pricy side. Very lively lounge area and nice location right at the lake. Lakeview room highly recommended, the rooms come with beautiful full length windows.

An amazing lakeside hotel, with a nice restaurant and friendly staff. Next to the subway and close to the olympic museum. Overall, a perfect stay for someone coming first time and wanting to see the signature parts of the town.

Disappointing. Way overpriced, food very mediocre and service really basic and not sufficient. Great in 2020 and 2021 but really disappointing this year. Wouldn’t go back.

Amazing hotel, extremely good bed and sheets, the reservation desk helps you with everything you need, welcome drinks, really human people. This is a place that I’ll always recommend, top 3 of the best hotel/service in my life.

The room was good in a nice building and well located to the lake and transport… Their check in is 15.00 and we arrived right on time to be told our room wouldn’t be available till 17.30…reason they advised is that they can’t control what “housekeeping” does and the hotel is busy… They offered a room upgrade but I told them I preferred to be able to check in at the agreed time and wasn’t fussed about a room upgrade..In the end despite me expressing some unhappiness they made us wait till 17.17 and have is a room upgrade that still overlooked the city not the lake. Maybe a genuine upgrade I’m not sure. Also in their outdoor lounge area we couldn’t get service for a 2nd drink…must have been 30-40 minutes and we have up and went to a local bar instead… Felt like we were invisible or something.. Also the free transport card that is issued by the hotel..- The guy in reception issued mine to me but we had ask him 3 times to issue one for my wife who was present the whole time — maybe a language difference but still not great service. I won’t stay there again.

Absolutely fantastic stay. The castle is beautifully renovated and rooms are modern, set in a beautiful waterfront location in Ouchy, Lausanne. The staff are professional and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The concierge was very nice and helped us with our itinerary. We stayed in the junior suite room on the 6th floor which was huge with scenic views of the lake. The hotel is close to the metro and bus station. Happy with our decision to book a room here for my husband's birthday.

Service level at the front desk ranges from non existent to rude. Wrong information is being given about operating hours of restaurants and check in time. On top comes the attitude of so called supervisor receptionist that clearly does not understand what the job is really about. The housekeeping personnel shouts through the hallways in the morning as if they own the place without taking care about guests that might want to enjoy a calm morning. The hotel is not ashamed to advertise the spa on their website an then tell guest at arrival that it is not available, but you can walk to another hotel and use it there! They seem to be thinking that they are some kind of special in this hotel, which I can assure you they are not. You find hotels like this every couple of meters in this region. Absolutely ridiculous what they dare to deliver there!

Me and my girlfriend we stayed here few days ago. It was only one night but we really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was on the 4th floor, with a nice view of the lake from the little window in front of our bed. Very well furnished room with all the complementary accessories you need for a nice stay and there is also a private parking just next the hotel

The hotel experience was overall very good. Nice shower, good matress and linens. Bar and restaurant for breakfast or dinner is outside right near the lake and the food is excellent. The location can't be any better. The concierge is helpful when asked. The only thing to improve on would be if servers would pay more attention to guests wanting another drink or another coffee in the morning. It's possible that they are understaffed.

My husband and I had a couple of glasses of wine in afternoon while on day-trip from Geneve to Lausanne. Good service and great people-watching on patio gazing at lake. Inside looked nice for evening bar or if a rainy day. We would come back again, gladly!
