Rooms are ok, beds are nice, and the view from the top floor balconies is beautiful !There is a problem though: the church bells. Spent a night at this hotel on a hot summer day. It was very warm in the room (no AC or fans) and impossible to sleep with closed windows. During my sleepless night I counted five different churches ringing their bells at every full hour, though with some seconds difference in when they started ringing. Some of the church bells also rang at quarter and half an hour. And Sunday morning there was a full on loud bell concert to call for the Sunday mass.....you were warned.

The Hotel Crystal is conviniently situated in the middle of Lausanne, surrounded by cafés, bars, restaurants and points of interest, so there's plenty around to explore. The hotel itself is a bit outdated, oldfashioned. The design, the colours, the interiors all seem a bit old. However, the bed was comfortable. There is no AC, at least not in my room (26). The shower is decently sized, water pressure is great. The staff at the reception was very welcoming, just like the staff during break fast. The break fast was decent, a small but fine choice of bread, cheese, cereals and fruits, as well as oranges to squeeze for fresh juice. An egg boiler is at your service as well. The view from the terrace is stunning, over entire of Lausanne. Given the price they ask for a night, I still don't feel the hotel delivers the feeling expected.

Small rooms, fits max 3 beds or double bed with one baby bed. great location in the city center. Too crowded during night because of night life around the hotel, so better take upper floors rooms. in summary, it is tiny, a bit expensive, but has a great location and it is super clean.

Stayed here two nights !! 1) 10 mins walk from Lausanne train station. Please keep in mind this 10 mins walk is up-hill and highly recommend taking uber or public transportation if you are traveling with luggage. 2 mins walk from Riponne M. Béjart metro station. 2) Plenty of restaurants and cafe near by. 3) No A/C ( I believe majority hotels do not have A/C). We had windows open and it was fine. 4) Good rooftop view 5) Easy check-in and check-out

The room was fine. Breakfast was fine. View from the terrace was great. The noise from the club across the street was absolutely unacceptable. Thursday: music blaring and people screaming until midnight. Saturday: it’s 12:30 and the music is still blasting and people shouting, and I’ve got a flight to catch in the morning. The owners need to figure out what to do about that!

Good location, budget hôtel hence you get for what you pay and clean. The only issue is the extra big and uncomfortable pillow!!! Never seen that before… hence no choice but to sleep without pillow 🥵

Excellent team, daily front desk manager is greatly hepful and open-minded ! Room, bed linen + peripheric room details are perfectly matching the quality price ratio. Street side rooms may suffer from local bars late closing disturbances.

Best hotel in town. Me and my employees enjoyed the hotel facilities and we were more than welcome. Cedric and the staff are doing an amazing job to make your stay unforgettable ! One thing is sure in the place, the client is the KING ! And it make it very special. One other great thing is that we experienced the escape game, an exciting experience and one that we will remember. If you are in town and looking for a hotel (business or travel) it's definitely the place to be. Oh, and I was forgetting the breakfast which was stunning with a lot of local & typic product. My only advice, wake up early and take time to enjoy it.

Loved the terrace in the evening😎, nice breakfast on the Terrace in the morning. A beautiful view over roof tops to the cathedral and mountain tops in the distance. Rooms are cosy. Car Parking is in a nearby parking two minutes away. Hotel is ideally situated in the center of town. Nice market on Saturdays.

A perfect Swiss Hotel. The atmosphere is comfortable and feels like family. The breakfasts are healthy, delicious, and filling. The rooms are spacious and unique. Best of all, the staff are some of the kindest and most hospitable people I have ever met. Highly recommend this place.

The rooms are great and so quiet, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast was perfect. You are truly in the central of Lausanne. We will definitely come back.

Service was outstanding, staff was incredibly helpful and genuinely interested in our wellbeing. Rooms were simple, but we didn't need anything more. Besides, coffee on the balcony with the view- priceless!

Great value and well located near the town centre. Staff were helpful. Room was clean and got water in the shower was almost instant. Mini fridge in room. Rooms look like their pictures in the listing. Comfortable and generous sized bed. Rest of room was well laid out but not a lot of space.

Very well situated in the heart of Lausanne near shops and restaurants a 20 min walk to the lake. Breakfast is great! organic and also local spreads, jams, cheeses etc ... Excellent coffee. The rooms are sufficient, mattresses super comfortable, nice shower, very clean , highly recommend.

Thank you Hotelcard for smart hotel experience . The Crystal is right at Coop City, amazing location. The owner is generous , free welcome drink and free Coffee and Tea on 5th floor . Amazing view. The room and the shower room are spacious . Neat and clean even though the design is outdated. Hair Dryer is not easy to use and takes a long time for my hair to dry . TV functions well . I have a pleasant stay .

Nobody at desk to check you in/out, a little expensive in my opinion…. But not bad.

The young asian lad working at breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Great lad and very kind. Deserves a raise.

If you want to experience the real and lively Lausanne, you'll want to stay at Hotel Crystal! The city's nicest and most central place. You have a wonderful and exceptional view of Lausanne's beautiful roofs, Lac Léman and the French Alps from the terrace, where you can eat your sumptious breakfast which consists of a delicious buffet with a large selection of Swiss cheeses, sausages, bread, homemade jams, yogurt, fruit etc. The staff is welcoming and helpful and everything has been thought of. We stayed for 4 nights, the car was safely parked nearby and we got free tickets for the efficient public transport. A wonderful experience - and we would love to come again! Highly recommended.
