Absolutely horrible experience with this hotel, one of the employees absolutely stupidly and incomprehensibly crashed our rental car, on the spot he claimed that all costs would be paid by him together with the hotel, but unexpectedly this did not happen. Now the hotel and their employee are taking their hands off the matter. No one from the hotel has been able to comment on the matter. I highly do not recommend, really bad, unprofessional, incorrect, rude behavior from the hotel. Regarding the hotel itself, it is in a bad location, there is nothing around at all. The restaurant was also disappointing. The bar although open but the bartender couldn't even make cuba libre. The rooms were more or less ok but we had a few spiders in the room. The whole outside of the hotel was covered in cobwebs and spiders. Many more interesting hotels are in Le Mans, i would avoid this hotel at all cost.

We arrived after midnight to discover that I had actually booked the room for a month later, but the man on the front desk advised that there was a room available and he was happy to amend the reservation. 10 minutes later we were in the room !!!

Bit disappointed in all honesty. Admittedly we didn’t pay much for the 2 rooms but it’s still rated as a 4 star hotel which it’s not. Staff I cannot fault. Very helpful and friendly. That was a massive plus. Breakfast….. I wouldn’t bother. Not very good and very little choice. The rooms were even worse, very poor. The toilet as wee stained to the point all they need to do is replace the seats. Both rooms the same. We also had upgraded rooms so no excuses can be made. Pebble dashed concrete wall was slightly odd. My son’s bed had hairs and little black bits all on the sheets. The pillows on the bed are square and hard, remind me of a paving slab. Most uncomfortable pillow I have ever had the pleasure of using. They didn’t even fit properly in the cases. Shower room was fine. We stayed at Orleans Novotel just before and that was exactly as I thought it should be.

Let down by another hotel we arrived to find a good clean room, good simple food, good wine and friendly service.

Overnight stay in Le Mans on our way to the south. Rooms are OK and seemed clean but small. Reception service was excellent as was the food and bar but restaurant serving staff need to improve.

The Hotel was very good value for the money, The Staff were great very helpful, Just a couple of negatives the Chicken wasn’t cooked properly was deducted from the bill we paid in cash in the morning the manager made us feel like we had not paid kept checking with the staff. The location not central but the tram stop is near the entrance.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was perfect. Our family was disappointed with the hotel. The rooms were rundown. One of the rooms smelled of cigarette. The playground area was closed for repair. The location was ok for a one-night stay on a road trip.

We have stayed in Novotel's in Paris many times, and Orleans twice, so looking forward to our night in Le Man's. On arrival, we went in but could not find reception, as it eventually turned out, the large table we passed was reception, but no one was there, and no signs to say reception. After walking into the restaurant with our cases, the staff didn't ask if we needed help. We walked out thinking we had gone through the wrong door, then went back in, and found someone at the table. We ate in the restaurant, but my wife's choice of the chicken dish was tasteless. The room was dusty, the safe the same as all I have used, didn't work, there was only 4 flavoured teas, no actual tea, coffee or sugar or milk.

Nice hotel. Gentleman who checked us in was very nice. Pool was good for the children. We stayed for 1 night and our floor had a power cut which took an hour to be fixed and ruined the evening. The staff didn't apologise for this outage and nothing was offered as a goodwill guesture. The power also went again just before we were departing and again seemed to be only the 3rd floor that was effected.

The rooms were nice, the sofa beds for the children were a little uncomfortable. Breakfast was diabolical, it was easier to list what they did have available than what they didn’t. The boys ate cereal with a fork! The hotel happily refunded the breakfast!

Whilst I agree that the hotel was a little tired, it’s stylish decor made it a really pleasant hotel. The service at the hotel was brilliant- everyone was really polite and helpful. As it was our first night in France, I was pleased that everyone spoke such great English. We were traveling with children and we thought the hotel was really well set up for families- kids menu, climbing frame, pool and an indoor area with books and activities. We love a Novotel and this was a good one

The hotel is conveniently located out of the city centre next to the ring road and is close to the race circuit by car. The reception area has been updated but the rooms are dated and need updating . It is however very good value for money and is the cheapest Novotel we have ever stayed in.

Quite a bit from the centre of town. Beside a tram which I presume goes into the centre. Hotel was basic and the breakfast staff need to keep on top of ensuring the buffet is well stocked

Lovely hotel but it seems be run by youngsters. Our room was nice and the bed was comfy. Unfortunately our car was scraped by someone in the car park. Not the hotels fault but it still upset us. The restaurant doesn't open until 7pm so we ended up eating out. It's a bit late when you've been travelling all day. Maybe 6pm would be better.

Would give zero stars if possible! A very disorganised hotel with chaotic, rude staff. Rooms are very basic and not clean .... we booked a superior room which was small, dirty and very tired. When we asked Naomi on reception if we had been allocated a superior room she rudely said we should have booked a Suite if we wanted better?? Restaurant is a circus; staff have no idea what to do resulting in long waits for food order. We were never asked if we wanted a drink and our order was only taken when the Chef noticed how long we had been waiting. Most of the items on the menu were unavailable so very limited choice. Lots of shouting and arguing between staff in the kitchen, a real shambles. The pool area is filthy and a health & safety risk. Avoid this hotel and how Novotel/Accor allow this hotel to use their name is a mystery. It is really bad.

Well, it is an old Novotel in a not really first class location. Our first room was hardly to use without risking your health, hence we got another one, but there wasser came down from the top, in the bathroom. Hence to stop room changing ganes and for night it seem to be okay. Whatever you are planning, the restaurant I would avoid in any case. It think McDonalds would be the better choice. We have quite some Novotels but this one is of the more ugly collection. No recommendation.

we had paid for our room in advance and were told on arrival that we needed to py a further 150 security deposit. We handed over the card, expecting the money to either be held, or taken and put back immediately. When I checked out I asked when our (large!) deposit would be back in and she said 2-3 weeks!! This is crazy, especially after having already paid for the room.Very upsetting to have so much money take for no reason.

Not the greatest place to stay. Fortunately we only did one night. Please be aware they cook everything in peanut oil. We travelled with a child who has a with peanut allergy and although the reception tried to help, the cook we’re just arrogant and in helpful. There was a general sweeping that everything was contaminated. Not helpful. I have 2 stars because the room was clean and reception staff helpful.

Room was comfy enough but service in the restaurant was poor waited over an hour for dinner, the buffet starter/desert area were covered in flies. We had 2 ask twice to chase up drinks and main course. Breakfast was better but maybe more staff would help with general help and keeping things stocked and clean. Would probably stay again but would eat out for the evening meal

A busy hotel nestled on the outskirts of Le Mans. Friendly receptionist on arrival in a very trendy reception area. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well maintained. The small pool area was perfect for reading a book in the sunshine - lots of families took advantage of a swim. We ate in the restaurant and had breakfast, which was a mix of sweet treats, continental meats/cheese and eggs and bacon. There is a tram stop nearby to whisk you into Le Mans and a handy supermarket a short walk along the river.

The following areas need massive noise level and control measures needed. The rooms are far too small no room even for my dog to turn around. The lack of air in the room there is no way of pinning window open to let air through dogs die in extreme heat I have spent hundreds on this trip just on keeping my dog safe in the heat she panicked and panted all night simply not good enough sorry but it's how I feel

We had a room on the second floor. It was a superior double with TV, shower, spwreate toilet, tea & coffee facilities. Room service was available and there is a bar and restaurant downstairs. All quiet and comfortable until the morning. And the doors started slamming! Worst night sleep I'd had all week and that was after staying in 9 difference hotels over a two week period! Definitely wouldn't stay here again!

Excellent hotel for families. Lovely pool with a good number of tables where you can have breakfast or dinner. Buffet breakfast can be a bit fraught in August due to number of English families taking an overnight stop here on way to port, but staff very quick to refill buffet items. Nice bar, spacious rooms with air con and helpful staff who speak English. Easy access by tram to Old Town - Plantagenet City.

What a great hotel! I used this with my 5 and 4 year old on a journey North through France. The hotel is modern and clean. The boys had a great time as there is plenty of children's entertainment in reception in the form of free computer games and building blocks. Outside was a lovely pool, outdoor games and seating area. The rooms were just perfect. I would definately use again and highly recommend!

Only stayed for a night. Looked very busy with tourists in transit across France. Spacious and reasonably clean room. Even the sofa bed was comfy. Hotel doesn't have a traditional reception desk. Only a floating concierge which was interesting. Decor in the lobby makes you feel like in an ikea store. Haven't used any of the catering. But it looked good if a little pricey.
