One of the worst hospitals I have ever been to. I never write reviews but it's shocking how bad this place is. One star is too good for them. The wait times to see doctors are atttrocious. I was was there from 3AM-9:30AM. I would just like to add, I suffered a chemical burn, and I was there for over 6 hours. Also, a lot of the staff don't know what they're doing and no one seems to care.

Absolutely A&E reception needs more train talk to patients, so rood, they are not politeness and they talk what they want. Came with my wife with doctors note and never see what is in it. The lady name called Anji. So rood and raise the voice. Doctors are best.

The worst place to get treated due to an emergency. I carried my wife on my two hands while entering the ER - blank look on their faces, no wheelchair, no help. Receptionists are acting like they hold the keys to Paradise, and you are knocking uninvited. After spending a sleepless night in the ER, they threw me out on the cold and did not let me in, although my wife's phone was in me and she didn't know what happened. Cold and ruthless staff, the complaints procedure is made to put you off from making a complaint. Oh, we were in the ER, because of a kidney stone that NHS is not dealing with in two years. I hope this paints a clear picture, as to why UK healthcare is notorious for it's ineffectiveness.

One of the worst hospitals I have ever been to. Some days the waiting time can go up to 9 hours! I have visited the Urgent Care one day with appendicitis and a doctor who could barely speak English sent me home without doing any tests. If I had not visited another hospital the worst could have happened. My advice: go to the hospital in Whitechapel, they have more prepared staff and better structure. The NHS need urgently to take action in Newham. Otherwise more and more people will suffer from a precarious, ridiculous service.

emergency department receptionist is very rude despite being with a patient who was unable to stand and talk properly on their own they refused the chaperone to go with the patient. On top of that instead of explaining that itโ€™s not allowed said the security guards will check if the chaperone is still with the patient. Chaperone found this very upsetting. Came because of health instead felt like a criminal having been told security will be on her (chaperone). This is especially upsetting as there was a bereavement in the family on the same day and the experience of talking with the receptionist caused more mental distress.

Just visited Newham General A&E. The reception was so rude,(fat Asian lady around 27 to 30 years old). at 7:30 pm she was serving from booth number four She treated me , if I was begging for some medicine on her front door. And they did not wear any name tags. Do the hospital have a manager who check on the reception staff? At least doctors and nurses they have ethics and been trained to care. Horrible lady know regards for other peoples feelings. She was arrogant and disrespectful.

One of the worst service of NHS they dont have enough staff and on duty staff is not that much trained and they even dont have common sense how to speak with a patient. It was very much horrific experience. Triage night satff midwife will just do time pass and they will say patient to wait and than they will only forget that patient is waiting upon telling them they will say wait wait and they even dont know how to behave with patient. At last they will say doctor is busy wait doctor will check but there will be no doctor at that time of emergency. Minimum they will take 3-4 hours. They even dont care that you are in pain or what. SOME STAFF WILL SAY THAT YOU BETTER GO TO A PRIVATE HOSPITAL NHS IS LIKE THIS ONLY. Even at mid night 3:10 no Patients are there iam the only one waiting since long time IF I CAN GIVE A NEGATIVE RATING I WOULD PREFER THAT

The worst hospital I have ever been too. Wait times in A&E are dreadful and are a minimum of 7 hours. I went there and so did my parents and the whole process was a shambles. Rude and unhelpful receptionists to the lack of staff and efficiency.

The worst and misserable place to get treated is with the emergency hospital. Waiting time 4 5+ hours, not kidding!, They keep calling names that doesn't show up. Even if the room is full of sick people more or less, we all waiting the same amount of time. They are payed to stay in breackfast luch and dinner all the time! Horrible service. No other way. All the time i've been waiting 4 5 hours. Rediculous! No one does anything. The headoffice should be taken off or just to the dam job properly. Change those lazy people! Paying taxes for those stupid people who doent move a finger! People who come to emergency, need to be seen ASAP, no matter if it a major or huge issue. Disgusted! GP are the same. All in one hand! People are standing up. People how need to be sitted. Kept on hall

Fourth time I'm seeing them with my miss. 99% of the staff have no knowledge higher than hooking you up on painkillers till the next maybe over 24 hours till a proper doctor comes that also has no clue about what's going on with his life not to mention your health problems. All of the staff is rude, experience-less, avoid this hospital at any cost! My misses was going in a kidney failure due to a stone and I had to carry her on my arms from the main entrance to the a&e department after a 15 min waiting time for a bloody chair. Today she had an internal bleeding and she spilled her blood all over the a&e reception (why is there even a waiting room?!? It's an emergency!!!!!) For half an hour till she spilled a blood cloth the size of her palm on the floor for someone to notice it. Please, for your own and families sake, avoid this place!

If I could give this hospital 0 stars, I would. We've waited for an ambulance for 3 hours, plus another 40 minutes in the ambulance for the handover. On top of that, we've been waiting in the emergency room for over 16 hours to get the results. No sleep for 24 hours, no food, only an extremely uncooperative nurse who doesn't care what you're going through. Truly disgusting.

The staff on the reception as a lady named Anji has no etiquette how to talk to people and how to make them comfortable to know better and itโ€™s almost 6-7 hours waiting for doctorโ€™s consultation if the patient is In dying situation or in pain. Infact, no one cares if youโ€™re screaming or having lot of pain even itโ€™s quite as 5-8 patients. Need really good staff as Having a best facility of NHS . Please provide training and skills to staff members how to treat their patients or people.

Took my 2 year old to A and E, triaged and then sent to West Wing which is a small room packed with frustrated patients who have been waiting for 5 hours plus. We were eventually offered a GP phone call after 5 hours of waiting, given a time slot of when to receive a call so went home and waited. No phone call received, typical. Whilst waiting at the West Wing, only one child had been called in to be seen compared to numerous adults.

Worse A&E experience I have ever had. Attended with my mum by Ambulance. Nurse quickly done the blood and ECG, we were told the results would take two hours but waited 4 hours no response, one grumpy man ( like he owes us money) did mumโ€™s bp check and said, dr will see us shortly but doctor is nowhere to be seen. When I asked a staff how long is the waiting, he told us very rudely โ€œjust wait thereโ€ not sure if his parents failed on him to teach mannerism. Asked the nurse about the waiting, she ironically said, I am not sure but I am going to check for you but I was not sure that she was the villain, she went to the reception to make an announcement of average waiting time 6 hours then she returned to the waiting room just to tell me that if I have heard to announcement, what a queen of compassion and empathy. I have been walking up and down and frankly speaking it is not busy at all. Staff are chatting out loud, laughing in the corridor and walking up and down. This hospital management needs to wake up and audit work and staffโ€™s performance. I am still waiting 7 hours past.

The A&E and Urgent Care Centre receptionist staff, Anjy, needs to be retrained on showing compassion and empathy. The staff treat you as they're handing out charity to the patients and doing them a favour! The Health Service is not free! It's funding by our tax money and making us feel unwelcome and a burden is despicable. If your receptionist staff cannot be empathetic, they should not be working in the health sector; please hire accordingly. Secondly, I waited for more than three hours and left without being seen. Why can't the Trust not be transparent about their wait times; please look at the North Middlesex Trust that update their A&E wait times in real time. I saw people waiting for more than four hours without being served, and most of them had musculoskeletal injuries. Why can't these cases be seen in a more efficient manner? This will reduce overall wait times, too! Please make your service better; I understand your resources are overstretched but there's so much inefficiency in your processes that, if rooted out, can vastly improve the service you provide.

Absolute rubbish and disgusting experience, long waiting times, can wait for till the end of time to be seen, won't even be seen till the end of time! Can wait beyond the ending of eternity and will not be seen. Eternity will not end and you will never be seen! So called hospital, they say a hospital serves the promise of hospitality, but this dumpster of a place is the bloody opposite!!!

Very long waiting hours. Different receptionists on multiple occasions show no respect or care to patients, besides being rude (in particular the West Wing!) Nurses & doctors are nice, however thereโ€™s lack of initiative in providing information.

I spent 13h in A&E at Newham Hospital yesterday, but I was so lucky to be seen by an angel called Dr Freddie. He is one of those professionals that go the extra mile and do everything in his power to help you. In addition, Dr Freddie is extremely kind. Later, he was joined by Dr Jack who, Like Dr Freddie, was very knowledgeable and took his job seriously. Both spent time listening attentively to the answers I provided to their investigative questions and I was never made to feel rushed. I am so grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And Dr Freddie, I will never forget you and your kindness when I needed. Your patients are lucky to cross paths with you ๐ŸŒท

Extremly long waiting times at A&E, we've been told 7 hours. Can the management not see this? Can the NHS not see this? Can the goverment not see this? How many reviews like this have been ignored by the persons supposed to take action? NHS wake up? What is the real problem money?...don't think so....shortage of staff?...seek for than!!! It's an ongoing problem for too many years allready and noone capable to resolve it....it's a NHS shame!

Was there on Sunday night, at the pediatric emergency department, we have waited for 7 hours to be seen because there was just 1 doctor for over 30 children, while about 5 nurses were sitting around and do very little, they were so rude and unkind, especially when they were dealing with worried parents asking for updates. Not to mention that the doctor completely missed the diagnosis and sent us back home with a baby that had a high fever.. Baby is now fine thanks to private clinic we took him the next day. Horrible experience!

Thought the nurses and doctors here (although clearly stretched) did a great job. Wait time was about 4 1/2 hours which I expected and was prepared for, but the overall care, skill and friendliness of the doctors and nurses was excellent and they patched my injury really well. Thank you!

Never have I ever done to such a disgusting hospital. A&E wait is about 9 hours. Everyone waiting to see a doctor is horrible. How can staff and patients all be the same? Royal London hospital is the best. Wait time is low and patients are more polite and friendly

Dr. Elizabeth Lilleanne Macleod is a total Disgraceful person. She lied that I attacked her and wrote total lies on the diagnosis report. I was pregnant and with loads of pain and she started telling me how she lost 4 babies from miscarriages. Very reassuring I must say. An Old grumpy women who has zero patience to deal with patients but instead becomes rude. If i could report this women to the police I would. I was never aggressive to her although now that I read her report I should of. Please remember this name before you go to Newham.

Itโ€™s the worst hospital you would ever want to go to. If you are in death bed you might as well stay home and die peacefully. Doctors are very kind and helpful. However the waiting time is 9 hours and 45 minutes. Some of the nurses are very kind but most are very rude. Even if you are a cater for a patient they do not allow you to stay with the patient. Very frustrating.

I would like to thank Doctor Rob for his professional attitude to patients, willingness to help and a kind heart! I can tell that it rarely happens when you can meet such doctor who also can support you and help with the medical problem. Staff at the reception are very rude! I was waiting for a few hours, and gave up! After visiting this place I felt more sick, as It was cold in waiting area and definitely less than 2 meters between people. Waiting time 4 hours is insane! Never ever again!!!! There was a woman at her late 60 who was vomiting, and I was surprised that staff left her waiting too without taken any actions. Isn't it emergency place???
