REALLY GROSS This place was, for us, disgusting. There was hair in the bed-sheets, they clearly had not been washed. We IMMEDIATELY left and asked for a refund. The owner claims in his reply that we stayed 24 hours, but in fact we left within 15 minutes of our arrival, and we have already told him this twice. The owner first said that the maid must have just not run a lint-roller over the sheets, and then said they would only give us a refund if we GAVE THEM A SIGNED, NOTARIZED CONTRACT promising to NOT leave a review, or let anyone we KNOW leave a review, on this property. Now I think I know why this place is strangely absent of negative reviews. This is the exact text of his email to us: "We would like to offer you a refund of your previous booking if you remove your combined negative google reviews and commit to not leaving any reviews after your refund has been issued. We further require your guarantee that none of your party will leave reviews on our property, nor be able to book with us again in the future. Again. We are sorry you had a bad experience, but these reviews go beyond your experience and are unethical, casting an unrealistic review on our business. If you agree to these terms, here is what would follow. 1. You remove all reviews. 2. You sign a document stating that you will no longer leave reviews on our business and you will ensure none of your party or people you know will leave reviews. You will be required to list your full name and address so that it is legally binding. You will have the document notarized. 3. Your refund will be issued. Please let us know if these terms are agreeable. Hollyhock"

We loved our stay at the Carriage House. Very clean, so many thoughtful amenities, and beautifully decorated. On-site hosts were very welcoming & Amanda was very responsive to any questions via text. The neighborhood was gorgeous & felt safe. We would absolutely stay here again the next time we are in town. Perfect for our family of 4 or even a girls trip. Ps, the Hollyhock blend of coffee made an excellent cup of coffee in the morning.

Great experience from start to finish! The Carriage House was cozy, clean, well appointed and a wonderful location. Take time to walk the neighborhood and enjoy the beautiful homes, coffee shops, bakeries, eateries and unique shops. Definitely will return and highly recommend!

Very cute place! Decided to stay overnight in Louisville last-minute on our way down to Nashville, and this place was reasonably priced, conveniently located right off 65 in a nice quiet area, and very tastefully appointed and clean. Loved the games and the book collection. 😊 Would definitely stay here again! Only suggestion for the host (which did not detract at all from our 1-night stay and I still give it 5 stars) would be to add just a few more pieces of furniture and wall decor to absorb echoing in the main space and make it feel a tiny bit more homelike/comfortable for lounging. Great place overall!

Hollyhock suite 5 was one of the best places we have stayed. Myself my husband and my 3 kids stayed for spring break and there was plenty of room for us all. The location was perfect! A block from many good restaurants and the science museum, Ali museum and the Louisville slugger museum. We never heard anyone else around us and the place had everything you need. They even supply Kcyps and a whole coffee bar. My kids begged to stay longer! The towels were actual nice big towels, not cheap ones. The beds were comfy. Great place!

Quick trip for us - perfect location in the city! Our host Amanda was very responsive and very accommodating to our unique situation with our pets. We loved her space and the beds were super comfy! We would totally stay again if we are in town again. Thank you!!

Loved it!!! Perfect for our family get together for Thanksgiving, temperature could have been warmer could not get the thermostat to go pass 74 degrees so we were very cold. Rooms were nice, comfortable beds, and the place was exceptionally clean. Would definitely stay at HollyHock Suites again just need that heat.

Location was perfect! Condo was clean, nicely equipped. We did not run into one issue. Welcome package was much appreciated.

Great location. Right in the city and walkable to stadium, museums, 4th Street, distilleries, and more. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. The condo was well stocked with coffee and pods and accoutrements. Large and plenty of towels, sheets, etc. We had a very lovely stay for a fun mom’s weekend away.

Awesome place to stay when visiting Louisville! Very unique layout that seems like a block long. Plenty of room for 3-4 groups, or a larger family. Owner pretty responsive to a few requests we had, including some snow removal - guess that’s not normal here. 😂 Street parking right behind facility, which depending on what unit you get could be right outside your door. We stayed in unit one and I’d stay here again. Only slightly negative was the main family room area was a little chilly. Huge unit but furnaces are located towards other end. Really nice bathrooms as well, one with a full bathtub. 3 of 4 bathrooms have nice walk-in showers.

We had a great time! The cleaning lady’s were helpful and very nice! Our suite was exactly how we expected it to be,, beautiful I would highly recommend Hollyhock Suites to my friends and my next trip to Louisville It will be my first choice for a place to stay!

A wonderful place to stay for our family. Accommodations were plentiful and location is top notch. Close proximity to dining shopping, and soccer fields for our stay. We’ll definitely stay again for our next visit to Louisville.

Such an adorable and spacious place to stay! We were only able to enjoy it for a few hours as we were passing thru from Minnesota to North Carolina but it was the perfect place to allow us to rest and decompress after a long day of driving! Would definitely go back and stay longer!

This was a celebration for my 40th Birthday, and the house was a perfect location. Quick walks to downtown bars, shops and restaurants. 10 adults had plenty of room and space. I definitely recommend.

Perfect location for anything downtown. Beautiful floor to ceiling windows. Upscale decor and design. Well stocked baths and kitchen. Plenty of space. Felt secure in the building. Communication with owner was quick.

This would be a great place for families. It’s in a wonderful location and the rooms are comfortable. The decor is farmhouse, modern and it was clean. The description that says breakfast provided is a little misleading. It should say that snacks and some breakfast type food is provided. The snacks are a really nice touch, but would be more accurate worded differently. Better to under promise and over deliver. As a couple, we typically only stay with Airbnb’s that have a king bed I assumed incorrectly this did which was my error. Nevertheless, it was very nice. I highly recommend for families and couples who are used to queen beds.

They don’t miss a beat! Felt like staying at a luxurious hotel but got the space of a two floor apartment! A luxury stay with a very homey feel. Would definitely stay here again.

We chose this place for the location and space for 8 adults and we're able to walk to every itinerary item easily, walking east to till Angels Envy , west to Peerless, and south to 8Up Elevated bar. We had one issue with a ceiling on our first night which was addressed immediately by the owner who kept in constant communication and provided alternate rental options if needed. We would stay here again.

Perfect location for enjoying Louisville! Convenient location for enjoying downtown by foot but also easy access to parking for locations outside the downtown area. Our favorite Airbnb rental so far. Clean, well outfitted, roomy, modern, quiet and ADORABLE! Most comfortable beds ever! Bedrooms have no windows making for a perfect nights rest.

We had a bridal shower weekend and the Hollyhock Suites on Main were perfect. The suite had plenty of room for us to gather and sleep. The staff was helpful and thoughtful. The location could not have been better. We parked at the Muhammad Ali Center and it was plenty close and reasonably priced.
