We stayed at the Louisville Bourbon Inn for a family vacation while doing the bourbon trail. We were so impressed by the house, the hosts, and the experience! It is a beautiful old home that is well maintained, updated, and clean. Jeff and Allen were so kind and easy to talk to. The breakfast was delicious! It was a wonderful experience and I will definitely return if I’m in the area again!

We stayed here as we made our first trip to Louisville! Jeff and Allen were very welcoming and gave us a tour of this beautiful home. The breakfast was amazing!! Not sure how we will survive without the amazing food!! The home is stunning! Clean, cozy, quiet and everything we could ask for and more. They are knowledgeable about the area & had some good recommendations. They had started decorating for Christmas & it was beautiful. I would high recommend staying here!!

My husband and I were fortunate to stay on the first weekend of the new owners. Jeff and Allen were so welcoming and we were greeted and made to feel at home with a quick tour of this beautiful home. The Kentucky Sunrise room was the perfect room with a great balcony. Extremely clean and well laid out. Breakfast was beautiful and delicious. The history and architecture is absolutely stunning and we loved the location. We were able to walk to the park, dinner, and the surrounding homes. By far one of the best bed and breakfast we have stayed in and will be back.

Allen warmly greeted us at the door, immediately creating a welcoming atmosphere. The mansion itself is stunning, and every aspect of our stay was carefully considered. Each space is not only inviting but also well-appointed and spotless. We chose the Grand Derby Suite and adored its spaciousness, loads of natural light, and view of the park. The attention to detail throughout the mansion is remarkable, with carefully arranged décor, fresh-cut flowers, crisp linens, and fluffy towels. Allen even cleared a path to our car doors when several inches of snow fell overnight! The breakfast served each morning was nothing short of spectacular, easily surpassing restaurant quality. The ingredients were fresh, masterfully prepared, and artfully presented. The shrimp and grits and avocado toast were especially delightful. Each morning left us eagerly anticipating what the next day would bring. In summary, we found it hard to part ways and are already looking forward to our next visit. It's clear that Allen and Jeff take immense pride in creating memorable experiences for their guests. We're already making plans to meet friends at the Bourbon Inn and have Allen and Jeff arrange a bourbon tour.

5 out of 5 does not capture of the essence of this property! From the moment you drive up to the property, you will know you made the right choice! This property is absolutely stunning and the pictures don’t do it any justice. The moment you walk into the grand foyer The Bourbon Inn feels like your home away from home! The suites are beautifully decorated with all of the personal touches. Allen, was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect! Allen is also a phenomenal cook! Breakfast was amazing and was included in our stay! His personal touches and recommendations are indescribable! There is no other place to stay in Louisville other than here!

I believed I knew what great hospitality was - And then I met Ellen and Kenneth. From the moment we arrived, it was clear I would be blown away by their kindness and their heart for service. No detail has been missed - the rooms are gorgeous, the welcome genuine and the food was delicious. The Louisville Bourbon Inn is a must stay. I loved every moment and will be back. We had our wedding there - Ellen handled all the details so we could relax and enjoy our special day to its fullest. I cannot rate the property or the experience highly enough - the pictures don't capture the true beauty of the property and the heart of the owners.

We had never stayed in such a beautiful place as the Louisville Bourbon Inn. It is an unique experience. Allen and Jeff were wonderful hosts. We booked through the Inn with Travel the Trails Tours. Rob our guide to three distilleries was excellent. Allen prepared amazing breakfasts. We sat with other guests and enjoyed conversation about the bourbon trail. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to come back with friends.

From the moment we arrived Allen and Jeff made us feel like old friends. We stayed in the Mint Julep Suite and it was amazing. Big bright windows to look over the Historic District, a big comfy king size bed, with soft bedding. Complimentary products in the bathroom was a nice touch. Breakfast each morning was delicious! Very creative dishes made from fresh ingredients. We cant wait to stay here again!

My stay with Jeff and Allen was amazing. It was my first time in Kentucky and my first time at a bed-and-breakfast. I am now forever changed. Allen‘s breakfast was amazing. The room that we stayed at was gorgeous. Jeff and Allen really do put in time and effort to make sure everyone’s stay is wonderful and relaxing. We also had a bourbon Trail tour arranged by them and I can’t say enough how great it was of an experience. if you’re not interested in the bourbon trails, just staying on this property is a great weekend getaway, the neighborhood at Saint James Court is great for an afternoon stroll. If you are considering them, this is your sign to book your stay. You won’t regret it!

This was our first bed and breakfast experience and it was amazing. Ellen was so friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the Gran Derby Suite. It was huge and very private. The Inn was immaculately clean and all the rooms were just inviting you to relax and enjoy your stay. Breakfast was as advertised and then some. The food was exactly what you would expect from a top quality chef. 5 stars

We were pleasantly surprised to arrive in time to enjoy the mansion decorated for Christmas. The hand crafted breakfast each morning was way above my expectations and started each day perfectly. Our room on the 3rd floor was nicely appointed with everything we could need for our comfort during our stay. Jeff and Allen are great hosts who were able to answer any questions or solve any issue we had during our stay. Their attentiveness to our needs during our stay is what makes the Louisville Bourbon Inn a place I would return to and recommend it to friends.

My husband and I decided to do the Kentucky Bourbon Trail the 1st week of November for his birthday? What better place to stay than the Louisville Bourbon Inn. From the moment we walked into the Inn we were treated like family. Allen and Jeff are such gracious hosts. They want you to feel like you are at home. Each day we had breakfast and it was different every day and delicious. They gave us great suggestions to go out and explore. Their decision to take over this Inn was the best thing they could ever do. My husband and I cannot wait to come back and spend time with our new friends. Oh, and a little shout out to our new four-legged friend Sophie. What a doll.

This was the 3rd and final stop on our vacation last week celebrating my husband's 50th birthday. It was honestly the best part of our trip to the bourbon trail! I cannot add much more to the reviews than what others have said, but I can say it again! Ellen was a very sweet and kind person; her son was an amazing cook! The home was beyond beautiful, the location was in Old Louisville which was great with the park across the street. The guests were a delight to interact with in the sitting areas inside and out. We had a room with a balcony, tv with all the channels, and spa tub! It was absolute luxury. I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed all the comforts of our home away from home. My husband is diabetic; Ellen had a cool Keurig to make 5 different sized coffees cold or hot. She was the most gracious and generous hostess! She had plenty of cold water in the refrigerator, drinks, candy, and snacks for you to have as desired. The breakfasts were exquisite. This was the first time we tried grits, and they were to die for...so much that I forgot to take a picture before devouring it. The French toast with a blueberry homemade compote with crème fraiche was the best meal of the entire trip! Thank you thank you for making our celebration memorable! God bless you all~

This was our first trip to Louisville and staying at this bed and breakfast was wonderful. I read the reviews before booking and they couldn’t be more accurate. The house and rooms are beautiful, clean, quiet and the service provided by Ellen was exceptional. Also, the breakfast meals are homecooked, fresh ingredients and delicious. I would recommend staying here and look forward to coming back in the future!

My family recently went to Louisville for a long weekend and stayed at the Louisville Bourbon Inn. The location is beautiful, and close to downtown and other areas we wanted to visit, making Uber an easy option. All four rooms we booked were very clean and decorated well, and there were plenty of common spaces where we could hang out. Ellen was a great host, making us feel like welcome guests but also not hovering or intruding. In addition to cooking amazing breakfasts, her son Ken treated us like old friends, making our stay here especially memorable. We will certainly plan on staying here again if we go back to Louisville in the future!

This is an amazing B&B! It's like stepping back in time walking into it's beautiful grand foyer, and is a true reflection of historic Louisville. My husband and I went for a couples week end, and Ellen was instrumental in helping us put together a custom package, very attentive to detail, and made sure we had everything we needed. Kenny's breakfasts are delicious, and together they make a fantastic family team. We will definitely be returning.

A most exceptional Inn experience. The Mansion is beautifully restored, with its fireplaces, period style light fixtures and detailed woodwork, and perfectly appointed. Ellen is a very kind and thoughtful host, the most welcoming and accommodating Innkeeper we’ve ever met. Kenny’s breakfasts are nothing short of artistry - very creative dishes with special touches and unique, subtle combinations of textures and flavors. We loved everything - even the coffee was absolutely perfect! The pancakes and French toast were favorites - very light and absolutely delicious; a real treat. Parking was also easy and appreciated after a long trip. Every superlative and all the stars are not enough. We highly recommend this beautiful Inn, located across from Louisville’s Central Park, and a short walking distance to the historic neighborhoods of St. James Court and Belgravia. Book early for Derby Day! Judy and Joseph Phillips

My wife and I and another couple came down to enjoy the Bourbon Trail. What a great place to stay. Ellen was more than accommodating. The rooms were amazing and the place was nicer than the pics. Very comfortable, wonderful rooms, great breakfast. Highly recommend to all reading this and my friends.

The Louisville Bourbon Inn is old-world charm and modern hospitality at its very best. Ellen was so easy to communicate with leading up to our stay and helped me select the room she thought we'd like best based on what we were looking for; offered us a flexible check-in time based on our arriving flight; and was overall the kindest hostess. The rooms are beautiful, so well decorated and appointed, and the Grand Derby suite's bed was AMAZING! Best three nights of sleep we've ever had. And to her add, the breakfasts prepared by Kenny can't be beat by any restaurant - it made for the most homey, comfortable experience. We'll never stay anywhere else in Louisville! Can't wait to return to the Louisville Bourbon Inn.

The rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed. The breakfasts were delicious. Our group of 6 took full advantage of the bourbon sitting room for cocktails conversations and games. Ellen's dinner recommendations were terrific and she is a delightful hostess. We would highly recommend staying here!

This B&B in Louisville, Kentucky was so wonderful. The house is in the historic district and it was perfect. We rented out the whole main house so that we could stay together as a group. The owner was very accommodating. The breakfast was amazing!! We had so much fun!! I hope they enjoyed us as much as we enjoyed them.

We stayed here for four nights for the bourbon and beyond festival. Ellen is cool and the breakfast was awesome! There are two living rooms and a nice patio to hang out in while drinking coffee or wine. The mansion is freshly painted and very clean (no ugly old grandma wallpaper) lol. We will definitely stay here again next year for the festival.

My wife and I had an exceptional stay here while visiting breweries and museums in the area. Ellen and her son are so accommodating and down to earth. This beautiful home in the historic district of Louisville is well taken care of and very clean. The breakfast is very good and it was so nice to have delicious unique dishes prepared each morning at the time we chose. We have been to a few Bed and Breakfasts over the years and this one is one of the better ones. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

I wish I could rate this 6 stars. The home is beautiful, the breakfast was amazing and fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was spotless, and fairly private in the carriage house. We'll be using The Bourbon Inn whenever we visit Louisville.

Louisville Bourbon Inn is one of the better B&B's we've stayed at. Ellen is such a gracious host; very patient and accommodating with our ever changing plans. The food was delicious and something I looked forward to every morning. We stayed in the carriage house and our room was private and comfortable. We can't wait to go back with our adult children. We booked a bourbon trail tour through Ellen and had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend!

Can't say enough about the Louisville Bourbon Inn! From the first encounter with Ellen making reservations throughout our 4 night stay was spot-on!! We felt like we were staying in the home of a dear friend. Do I need to say anything more? Breakfast was amazing, rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Louisville.

My wife and I came to Louisville for a wedding and decided to stay here instead of a standard hotel or an Airbnb. This turned out to be a great choice! The mansion and our room in it were beautiful, as were the views of the park across the street and the surrounding neighborhood. Allen was an excellent host, and he made wonderful breakfasts (and cocktails). We slept great and enjoyed just lounging around the inn mornings and evenings. Highly recommend!

We had an incredible 2-night get away at the gorgeous Bourbon Inn. If I could give it more stars, I would. Overlooking Central Park, it is beautifully decorated, the breakfast and service outstanding. Allen is an extraordinary chef, mixologist and host. Our birthday celebration could not have been better. We definitely recommend this beautiful home and hope to return!
