Excellent Lyon-local food with really good vibe, even it’s extremely busy! Staff are generally nice and supportive even many of them not speaking good English. Food is extremely good, with really reasonable price, the Scallop soufflé with lobster sauce is one of the best main dishes I ever had! Reserve in advance is 100% essential.

Just go. Yeah this ones the one. Absolutely one of our new favorite places to have a fantastic lunch or romantic dinner in Lyon. You cant beat the charm of this Bouchon. The service and staff is so friendly, helpful, and professional. The food is truly next level, it was hard for us to find something else in town that even came close. This lovely historic restaurant will absolutely see us again and again. Stay golden and real gem in Lyons crown. Gastronomic excellence.

Had a wonderful Christmas dinner of French classics. The complimentary starters of fresh bread, beans and pate (I think) were very sumptuous. The chicken breast dish was incredibly tender and the duck dish is just Frenchtastic. Most importantly, the service was so welcoming. They didn't have an English menu but the waitress not only offered to show pictures but offered her phone with Google translation. Also knew when we misordered and recommended alternatives. When I visited this restaurant, I felt like I’m in a medieval time. So old but really beautiful. It’s small but always full packed with people trying lyonnaise cuisine. We ordered something rare to find and i had this bloody sausage baked inside flaky bread. My friend had veal intestine which was really exotic but it taste really good. Not recommendable to people with sensitive appetite. This is a haven for exotic French cuisine. Find out and try this famous restaurant. I love their dessert also. It’s a busy atmosphere when we are there but the waiters are very humorous to put SMILE On our faces.

The staffs were really kind and the food was amazing! I would definitely revisit this place when I have a chance to come back to Lyon later. I was really amazed by the wonderful food and the wine they have and the fish brochet was amazing!!

Never been disappointed / so much better than tourist traps in the same street. Daily lunchtime menu is great value. If you have a bavette, ask for blue (very rare)!

Very popular Lyon local food with menu reflecting some historic lunches. Good staff, very busy even during lunch time and situated in a cool alleyway which is an apparent tourist destination. Interesting food, heart and filling but maybe go for the a la carte menu for something more modern. Would recommend, and very cool Christmas decorations. Went for dinner after a recommendation. The food was great! Had the beef and chicken for mains and the ratatouille and gazpacho for starters. Food was great! . Would def recommend this place for the food. However it took over 30mins to grab there attention for the bill. At the end I had to get up and stand at the front counter to pay for the bill. I could have left without paying and they would not have noticed. I believe they were understaffed so I can understand but it was frustrating. They lost two tables who couldn’t even place there order, they just left. But I would still recommend this place just for the food.

We had an amazing night at this lovely restaurant. The traditional food is beautiful, very rich and delicious. Generous portions and fantastic wine. Staff are very friendly and attentive despite us being typical English people knowing very little French! Thank you for a wonderful experience :)

Great Local cuisine. I just followed the recommendation (quenelle and boudin). Eating outside in the small alley was fun.

The waiters seemed stand off ish at the beginning. And I really had the feeling it was because we are tourists. (A table of Locals right next to us received their menus before we did, although they arrived several minutes after us). However, his demeanor switched once he had to come back to inform us that they were out of a dish we had ordered. The food was delightful. Each dish a hit.

Well wow. Amazing food. Phenomenal service. It is typical Lyonnais food, which is amazing but requires North Americans to be on the adventurous side.

Very nice restaurant, cozy atmosphere. I tried the snails and fried tripe. Gotta admit i liked the tripe better. This is a good stop if you want to sample french cuisine

Solid food and service. Seating in mall passage not ideal. For better seating, reserve a few days in advance. For best Bouchons, reserve weeks ahead.

Food was delicious and well presented. Waiters were kind but the manager seemed a bit arrogant but with a smile. Just keep in mind that the food takes time to get, think they’re cooking it fresh by order but that is not really explained so feel long. I’d definitely eat there again though knowing what to expect.
