Danton was our first dinning place after arrived in Lyon. Even though there wasn't any English menu but it made us more thrilled. The food was great. They were full of variety of flavours perfectly integrated together from sours, sweet, fruity, saltiness etc. We loved everything. My wife usually dislike to consume beef and fish but she surprisingly enjoy those dishes at Danton. We can feel the Chef's passion and commitment behind each dish presented to us. Danton is definitely better than many restaurants in Paris at the same price range. Overall, it was a great experience for us. Thank you Danton <3 We highly recommended for you to try this place :)

You NEED to go to this place! ///End Edit/// What a great place. Food, setting, and service were all top notch. That veal was like butter. There really isn't a bad thing to say about this place, expect I couldn't get a reservation for the next night. I understand why! I may become a regular while I'm here.

I tried many restaurants in Lyon and this one is going on my favourite list. Totally recommend. I tried the full course meal (trio) and I loved it. Also there are little appetiser and finished with little bites of desserts included, very generous. I had a great evening and meal was worth the price. The desserts weren't too sweet which was perfect for my taste.

Enjoyed a nice meal here that was quite pleasant. Unpretentious and local, this establishment serves good food just as much as it serves it with a smile. The white fish was delicious as so was the assortment of cheese and strawberry dessert. Loved it and planning to recommend this place for others to enjoy.

Wonderful dinner experience. My partner and I had the menu dégustation - 6 course tasting menu. We asked the server to pair the meal with 3 glasses of wine. The dishes were creative and and flavorful. The service was impeccable - with our server giving detailed information on the wine pairings and the various dishes. We don’t expect restaurants to speak to us in English, but we were very surprised and grateful when the server graciously was able. The service and qualify of food did not disappoint. A nice, intimate restaurant for an evening out. We will be back!

I ordered a complete set with starter, main, cheese and dessert. The staff was so friendly to introduce the dishes for me. The cheese was so full for me. But, overall it’s good to have a try.

I had a wonderful dinner at Danton … one of the best meals I’ve had in years. The menu was only in French but was I was easily able to navigate it using Google translate and with assistance from the waiter. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. I wasn’t able to try any of the desserts as they all contained nuts — however, I was brought out a mini plate of desserts to try without the allergies which I was super appreciative of. Excellent food, great prices, and in a delightful quaint venue. Will absolutely be back when I’m next in Lyon.

There was no English Menu but the server tried his best to explain what was on it. Had really nicely seasoned white asparagus and roast pork. Best food I had in France on a 2 week vacation. Reasonably priced too...

Beautifully presented dishes, with great service. We enjoyed watching the preparation of the food and the quiet, but friendly, efficiency of the staff. Michelin star quality without the pretension. Do reserve a table, as it is only a small restaurant. Thank you for a memorable meal.

One of the best dinners we’ve ever stumbled across. The staff were very accommodating given that we did not have a reservation. Best quality & value for money. It began with a wonderful amuse-bouche & champagne that started the taste buds going. The entrees/appetisers were absolutely amazing. The wine we chose was from the Côtes du Rhône Hermitage region - beyond reproach! As for the main meal/plat, I have to admit that was the best cooked fish I’ve had for a long long time. Dessert was delicious & accompanied by a fabulous dessert wine. The chef works with fantastic produce & does wonderful things with them. To top it all off, the service was beyond excellent! I would come back in a flash!
