Coffee and food are very good, and I used to come here regularly. Some staff is not nice at all. I was with a group of only five people and got charged a few items we didn’t order. As these mistakes happen, I was ready to solve the issue calmly when the cashier blamed me and my friends and refuse to amend the mistake. Sad to say that neither me or my friends will be coming back EDIT: wow, I didn't honestly expect an answer but the comment below that I was contacted in any shape of form is a blatant lie. Very disappointing!

This is a very relaxing place. We ordered banana bread and a bagel.. The food was fresh and healthy but the bagel was a bit small with not much filling. The staff are very lovely and attentive, and the drinks good too.

Delicious coffee and super friendly staff! Nice cozy vibes all around. The bagels were simple and good although a little expensive. Warm bagels are around 7 euros. But overall still a great place for breakfast or a coffee!

Yummy coffee and great variety of bagels and cakes. My bagel was delicious but it's not an inexpensive place. But the quality of the food is great and the service is friendly therefore definitely worth the visit

The staff are incredibly rude and don't care about showing their customers basic respect. We ordered coffee whilst we waited for a friend and once she arrived, we ordered three power breakfasts and asked if the coffees we ordered could be included, the waitress said this was fine. However, another waitress came with two more coffees by mistake and we clarified that the coffees we already had were the coffees included and she took them back. I have just learned that our friend was charged for these coffees that we didn't even drink because we 'didn't come all together'. This is a poor excuse to make someone pay for something that wasn't delivered, and the behaviour of the staff was sneaky and dishonest. I highly encourage people in maastricht to avoid this place if a basic standard of customer service is something they value. Needless to say, my friends and I will not be coming back here

I used to really love coming to this place. I would come alone, with my friends, with family... It was one of our top places! But over the past year or so I have consistently had negative experiences at Bagels and Beans. I've waited with placing a review to see if this happened regularly. As the other recent, lower-star reviews have described, Bagels and Beans now runs like a revolving-door, where it seems they want to get people in and out as quickly as possible, at the cost of their customer's experience. God forbid you take out a laptop or book, they will tell you that you have to leave your table to make room for other customers (even if you are consistently ordering food and drinks). They now have a designated "study table" that is in the dark, back corner of the cafe, with many chairs crammed along a table on the wall. If you come with others you will also most likely be crammed into the smallest possible table, or be told that you will have to move if a larger group comes in. Several times I've been told to move tables halfway during a meal. With regards to staff, there are many friendly people working here, but more and more often we have encountered unfriendly staff members. I'm really disappointed because me and my family loved this place, but it simply isn't what it used to be. I'm hoping this can change again in the future and I wish the management the best of luck in righting the "ship" of this branch of Bagels and Beans! 🙏🍀

Super nice study places at the big desks at the windows and the bagels are so so good!! It is usually busy but if you’re lucky you can find a place. Very kind service too!

The single use plastic container/syringe goes very much against the eco friendly vibe your store seems to go for. Also, you should bring back the chocolate croissant muffin.

I recently visited a lovely cafeteria in Maastricht that specializes in Bagels, and I had a great experience! The food was delicious, particularly the salad and cheesecake, and the matcha latte tea was wonderful. What I loved most was the ability to work on my laptop at a table facing the window, which provided a beautiful view. Overall, a fantastic spot for a casual meal or to get some work done. Highly recommended!

The staff was very nice, quick and understanding. However, I ordered a blueberry muffin which was very dry, the bread of my bagel was dry and the hot chocolate had almost 50% foam. The atmosphere was cozy but there was a leak in the ceiling so 2 tables were occupied with towels and buckets for the water.

The pictures of the food and what arrives is a little misleading (looking at you Tex Mex), but the food tastes good and the service is very good. The tex mex makes it look like you get about half an avo on your bagel, when it arrives though, you have three very thin slices of avo, and the bagel is pretty flat and sad looking. The coffee is very good and you can taste that it's not just a quick coffee, but that someone in there knows what they are doing. The staff is friendly, warm, attentive and helpful.

Visited Bagels & Beans for the lunch - it was full of guests. However, we were served very quickly. Nice choice of fancy food - vegan, interesting, and exotic combinations of ingredients in salads and bagels. Loved the drinks, both cold and hot - homemade cocktails, mushroom coffee, and golden coconut milk. The atmosphere is very friendly and pleasant, the interior is spacy and full of light. Heartily recommended.

Original food offer, mostly various presented bagles, with different bread types, garnished with salmon, tuna, ...appears to be a food place considering sustainability with an eye for biological and smart food quality. Infrastructure is basic but the service is fast and efficient. Not for romantic candlelight diners, but very effective if you are looking for smart and healthy lunches with friends and relatives.

The food & drinks are good. Especially the matcha latte. But what a service… I’ve been here several times and they always ask us to change seats and go sit somewhere else. What type of coffee bar is this if you can’t even decide where you want to sit? Unbelievable and rude

I regretted getting take away coffee. Usually takeaway coffee should go quickly but here your order will go in a same cue as those who are eating and drinking in. I had to wait for about 15 minutes for one cup of takeaway coffee!!

a lovely place to chill and study! one of the few places in Maastricht that makes actually good matcha lattes. i also tried the mushroom latte which caught my interest, the waitress said that it's coffee with herbs that give it an earthy and mushroomy taste. I loved it! there are so many unique drinks here that I'll be coming back to try. the soy milk used in the drinks was tasty too. all the servers were super sweet! 💞

I really enjoyed passing by this place. Friendly staff, easily to find and fresh food. They do have gluten free and vegan options. You have a vast choice of warm and cold bagels. The gluten bread is tasty :D

A cozy place, with great bagels, great desserts and above all, great drinks, warm or cold. The ginger cocktail is really awesome! It was really nice sheltering from the rain there, the mood is cozy and the staff very friendly. A nice stop if you're visiting Maastricht by train!

All in all a very pleasant experience! Really kind staff, a good choice of bagels, and great coffee. We’ve been there twice and it was just nice. The vegan options are more than just options - they are delicious.

Delicious bagels at a moderate price. We always enjoy coming here and choosing from a different selection of bagels. The staff is always cordial and we always have a good time. I would particularly recommend the Mushroom burger bagel and the matcha latte soya.

Nice place with nice options but one of the staff was rude today. We were a group of 6 today around 12:50 and we left 14:00 hrs. We ordered breakfast and coffee. So we were there for maximum 1.5 hrs. However the waitress who took our order asked us later “when are you leaving” and “how long will you be staying here”. It felt like she was asking us to leave directly after we finished our breakfast & drinks. We believe this was a rude thing to ask of customers regardless of how busy the place is.

Fungus + Avocado Bagel =( Last Sunday, I ordered an avocado bagel to-go, which I planned to eat during my 2.30 hr train ride. Once on the train, I noticed that the avocado was partially covered with a white/blue fungus. I was so disappointed, as I am a regular customer at Bagels & Beans... The service at the shop was great and friendly as always, but this time the food quality was terrible.

I just moved to Maastricht. My friend is a loyal customer of your restaurant. He also ordered your bagels via UberEats. So i wanted to try your food. I came to your place on 18th of September when it was not crowded at all. I took a seat in front of the window. Ordered my bagel and a cafe. One of your waitresses came in a bit and asked to take the chair next to me, where i put my bag, even though all the other ones (2 more) next to me were empty. She just picked the one i put my bag. And i asked her if she could take another one, she replied that i need to remove my bag because someone MIGHT come. The rest of the seats were completely empty. I found this very weird and did not feel respected but okay. When i was paying at the cashier, she literally told me that today they let me sit and use my computer because the restaurant was empty but if i come another time, this is not possible. It was not busy at all and she told this to me in the middle of everyone and out of nowhere when i was leaving. I mean i went there to experience your food and have a good time. I felt very disrespected and left very disappointed. Is there a time limit also? Please let your customers know about it before they come and sit. This treatment was so disturbing.

I just finished the bagels I ordered and they were illegally good. I had to call the police. 10/10 and would love to visit this place in person.
