This is the orchard of the companion of Prophet Hazrat Salman Farsi (the Persian) who was a slave of a Jew. And to set him free, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself planted 300 trees here. There is a lake of flowing water and an irrigation system. The Indian and Pakistani workers there are really hospitable, they give you tea and don't charge you any money. I bought a few dates, and they also gave me some more.

Cool and serene place! This where Rasullullah planted trees to bless them to grow faster in order for Salman Al Farsi to be able to buy his freedom.

The Garden of Salman Al Farsi is a beatiful historic site in the Blessed City of Madinah which, contains 300 date palms which were planted by The Blessed Prophet Muhammed (sal) himself to free his companion Salman Al Farsi (RA). The garden also contains a well with beautifully fresh sweet water which you can taste. You can visit the garden, taste the water and buy dates from this blessed garden. It is located a few minutes away from the Ghars Well.

Salman the Persian (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (ﷺ) to seek his counsel and his help. His master, a Jew of the Bani Quraizah, kept him so hard at work on his property south of Madinah that he had never been able to have close contact with the Muslim community. It had been out of the question for him to be at Badr or Uhud or take part in any of the lesser forays which the Prophet had led or sent out during the last four years He had asked his master what it would cost to set him free, but the price was far beyond his means. He would have to pay forty ounces of gold and plant three hundred date palms. The Prophet told him to write his master an agreement to pay the gold and plant the trees. Then he called on his Companions to help Salman with the palms, which they did, one contributing thirty palm-shoots, another twenty, and so on, until the full number had been reached. “Go dig the holes for them Salman,” said the Prophet, “and tell me when thou hast done, and mine is the hand that shall put them in.” The Companions helped Salman to prepare the ground, and the Prophet (ﷺ) planted each of the three hundred shoots, which all took root and thrived. As to the remainder of the price, a piece of gold the size of a hen’s egg had been given to the Prophet (ﷺ) from one of the mines, and he gave it to Salman, telling him to buy himself free with it. “How far will this go towards what I have to pay?” said Salman, thinking that the price had been greatly underestimated. The Prophet (ﷺ) took the gold from him and putting it in his mouth he rolled his tongue around it. Then he gave it back to Salman, saying: “Take it, and pay them the full price with it.” Salman weighed out to them forty ounces from it, and so he became a free man.

Wow what a place in the middle of Madina. The story is narrated as. Salman the Persian (رضي الله عنه) came to the Prophet (ﷺ) to seek his counsel and his help. A Serene Oasis of Spirituality and Tranquility I recently had the privilege of visiting The Garden and Masjid of Salman Al Farsi, located within the Ring of Imam Ali, and I was captivated by the sheer beauty and serenity of this place. It truly felt like an oasis of spirituality and tranquility amidst the bustling city. Upon entering the garden, I was immediately greeted by lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and beautifully manicured pathways. The meticulous attention to detail in maintaining the garden is truly commendable. It's an ideal place to escape the noise and chaos of everyday life and find solace in nature. The Masjid of Salman Al Farsi, nestled within the garden, is a masterpiece of architectural brilliance. The intricate designs and exquisite craftsmanship are a testament to the rich history and cultural heritage associated with this sacred place. As I stepped inside the mosque, I was enveloped by a sense of profound peace and spirituality. The peaceful atmosphere encourages contemplation and reflection, allowing visitors to connect with their inner selves. The staff at the garden and masjid were welcoming, knowledgeable, and eager to share the history and significance of the place. Their passion for preserving and promoting the spiritual essence of the site was evident in their interactions. They were more than happy to answer any questions and provide guidance, enhancing the overall experience. What makes this place even more special is its association with Salman Al Farsi, a revered companion of Imam Ali. Learning about their profound friendship and shared teachings added a deeper layer of appreciation for this site. It's a place where history and spirituality converge, leaving visitors with a sense of reverence and awe. I highly recommend visiting The Garden and Masjid of Salman Al Farsi Ring of Imam Ali to anyone seeking solace, spiritual enrichment, and a deeper understanding of Islamic history. Whether you are a devout Muslim or someone interested in exploring different cultures and traditions, this place will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on your heart and mind. A visit to this oasis of spirituality is a reminder of the importance of preserving our heritage and cherishing the wisdom of the past. It is a true gem that deserves recognition and appreciation.

The place is open, but unfortunately you cant call it a garden, no maintenance and no grass touching your knees. Nothing to see there. Water is salty and it feels like deserted.
