Probably the BEST place to experience Modern Kaiseki in Tokyo. Bread and butter, such a simple concept but presented in the most surprising way. Cooked the bread in front of us. 😳

We visited Narisawa when they did their pop up in Singapore, with Mandala Club. It was an extremely unique experience, especially when you see the same sake bottles, and special ingredients, that's uniquely kept for Narisawa in Japan, show up in another country. Throughout the entire night, we were extremely well taken care of by Chef Narisawa, GM Leo (son of chef), and their entire team. Super patient, extremely friendly staff. The experiential journey that the Narisawa team put us through, on both the food, but also the drinks experience, was quite out of this world. Simple ingredients, drawing out the fine quality of the crops and the proteins. What's unique are the items that are sourced specially just for Narisawa. Outside of Japan, they're one of the holders of the Dom Perignon collaborations, beyond the few other sake houses that create flavors and special bottling, just for chef. All the access to these special experiences, is what you end up paying for - the top notch divine dining experience as part of being the top 50 restaurants globally.

(Translated by Google) It is NARISAWA in the world. It is a regular in the world ranking 50. I've only been there 4 times. This is because I cannot make a reservation over the phone. Application starts on the 1st of 2 months ago. There are many busy talks, and when they are connected, they are full! It's like that. However, you can also make reservations on the Internet, so there are days when it is vacant, especially for lunch. Please try it. Cooking is only a fixed course. It will be about 30,000 per person. The dishes are carefully prepared with carefully selected ingredients. In the past, all waiters were in suits, but about nine years ago, they have become more casual. It is a beautiful glass-walled detached building. At the end of the dish, the chef will go around each table. Feel free to take pictures. It's delicious. Everyone feels happy. The toilets are unisex and there are two on the left and right. It's beautiful. I revisited in 202009. There was one course and it was 150,000 for 3 people. The food will be more expensive if you order a series of wine or tea, but we recommend ordering as it matches.

Best lunch of my life. The food presentation will take your breath away. Complex flavors, attention to details, best ingredients. It was an experience and magical time from start to finish. Even the menu itself is something you want to keep Highly recommend to visit, you will not regret the price

NARISAWA is one of the best tasting menus I’ve EVER had. The food is exceptional and memorable - having both classic flavors as well as some unique touches that all work incredibly well together. The sake/wine pairing was outstanding with some exclusive selections. We went to many fine-dining establishments during our 3 weeks in Japan and NARISAWA will be one we recommend highly to any foodie. I can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Tokyo!

This is one of the best menus I ever had. Attention to details is very impressive. The wine & sake pairing was perfect, as it really enhanced all dishes. As a plus, Chef Narisawa came out from the kitchen to greet customers, which I thought was very nice.

This is truly an experience! From the start, there is a theme and it flows through to it's use of ingredients to the pairing of the food and wines, to the overall experience you have. It's a journey they painstakingly make to let you understand their concept. Service is impeccable of course and food is tasty! The decoration of the dishes are in itself a piece of art! No wonder they are one of the top 50 restaurants in the World. Impressive.

This Michelin two stars Japanese restaurant provides an exclusive fine dining experience with its modern, innovative take on local cuisine. I tried their tasting menu and it was refined, with good ingredients but most importantly, everything were beautifully plated. The Narisawa team was extremely knowledgeable and tentative, they provided guests with the best professional services.

(Translated by Google) I was impressed! First of all, open the door when you find the entrance while walking around, and guide you to the back table separated by the automatic door. The kitchen in the back also has an automatic glass door so that you can see the inside of the kitchen in a glimpse of the movement of people. I feel like 6 half-course dishes, but I wonder if there were 11. I was very satisfied with my stomach! Was it really a half course? The paper explaining the menu is full of humor, Each polite explanation and background. Is Japan's land 70% forest? ? Please tell me. The bread baked in the stone kiln at 200 degrees from the fermentation is really delicious right in front of you! I got two (^ ^) I would like to explain each one in a series of emotions, but MVP is a dish of shrimp, tomato and arugula. The sauce and vegetables were intertwined with the shrimp prawns and they were married 😭 The rest is dessert! I think there were strawberries, warm tomatoes, milk ice cream, olive oil, salt, and what's more, like pepper. Warm and cold, sweet and salty, and oil doesn't stop the spoon again! ! Lunch 2nd half course including tax + service charge, drink, and cake was added, so around 30,000? Chef Narisawa came to greet me and I had a very friendly and warm atmosphere with an aura! (^^) As expected, it is a top-level restaurant in the world. We had a great time and had a great time (^^) It was a treat 😆 (Original)

The presentation is good. Soacing between tables and lighting are good. I was amazed by the green bread baked from raw. Pairing of Sake is ok but I felt a bell curve. Best and complex ones came with the 5th or 6th dish. I especially liked the squid and lotus root. Use of lemon juice in appetizers was at right amount. Katsuo katsu was lovely Chardonnay colour. Did not like the sautée with the lobster.

Went in 2016, it was an incredible experience, amazing food and the sake pairing..... it was so good we still talk about it. I see people complaining about the wine pairing, if you are in Japan, what are you doing drinking wine? Would you ask for sake in Paris? Then….. came back in 2023, the menu has cleared change, it’s french\ Japanese fusión now, not as good as before, maybe it works better for the locals, the food was ok, but not remarkable for the $500 Christmas’s menu. I still give it 5 stars but I’m not inclined to come back.

Reserved this restaurant several months prior to our Japan trip, and the anticipation was absolutely justified. The entire dining experience was meticulously crafted, though it was a tad disappointing not to sample the ash and forest floor dish on this occasion. Nevertheless, we delighted in the Bread of the Forest paired with homemade butter, which proved to be exceptional. In my opinion, the Kobe beef might be more enjoyable when pan-fried or grilled without any sauce. However, every dish was impeccably presented, and the flavors of each component harmonized seamlessly. Eagerly anticipating the opportunity to explore a different menu on our next visit!

Narisawa, located in Aoyama, is renowned for its innovative approach and harmony with nature in its culinary creations. The restaurant emphasizes the use of sustainable ingredients to craft dishes that reflect the essence of Japan's seasons. The interior is sophisticated, offering a serene atmosphere for dining. I go here every year. During my visit, what stood out the most was Chef Yoshihiro Narisawa's dedication to maximizing the natural flavors of the ingredients. Each dish was not only visually stunning but also rich in taste. The service was exceptionally professional, with detailed explanations about the ingredients and dishes that enriched the dining experience. Narisawa is an ideal destination for special occasions or celebrations, attracting gourmets from all over the world. While the pricing is on the higher side, it is undoubtedly worth it. This restaurant offers an unforgettable experience that any food enthusiast should seek out at least once.

Incredible experience from start to finish. Meal incredible. Service incredible. I can see why Narisawa is ranked so highly worldwide. We came for a weekday lunch and it was fully reserved. Service is so good, nice touches from start to finish and it really feels like a world class experience. I tried the 9 tea pairing and I felt it really enhanced the flavour of the dishes. They were cold tea pairings fyi. Now on to the food. The plating and artistic creativity is stunning. Not only that, the food is full of flavour and a real treat to experience. My favourite was the persimmon dessert. I was and still am blown away by the experience. Narisawa himself did come out to greet every table and take pictures if asked! He seems like a humble man. Overall highly recommended and would repeat.

Extremely impressed by our dining experience here. The staff is very efficient and professional. They collaborate and coordinate well in particular. The variety and creativity of the courses was phenomenal. The kobe beef was excellent and the dishes were beautifully presented. One unique experience was they had bread dough cooking under a candle during your meal and then placed in another hot bowl. Thus near the last few dishes, you could eat it with "moss" butter. We would definitely visit again.

A michelin starred restaurant that pioneered the Japanese farm to table movement. The atmosphere is intimate and welcoming, this despite my being underdressed following a day of sight seeing. I had the tasting menu with 8 savory and 2 dessert courses. Each dish was cleverly presented and flavorful. The signature bread is baked in a hot stone bowl at the tableside with butter the appearance of moss. It was as good as promised. My favorite courses were shrimp with salmon roe and noodles and the melon dessert. The tea pairing was quite nice. Everything was good quality though, at 2 hours, the service felt rushed. My meal came to $360. Ok for a special occassion but 3 times the price of the michelin starred restaurant I visited last week - Kabi - which was just as good.

This marked our 3rd visit to the 2-Michelin Star, NARISAWA in Tokyo. It was such an honor to meet up with Chef Yoshihiro Narisawa once again. To us, he is just the most humble and down to earth Chef that we have ever met. He always greeted us with respect and kindness. His food was absolutely majestic, showcasing some of the finest gastronomic flair in the world. A meal at NARISAWA is always considered as a journey across Japan with premium ingredients landed from all over the country. This is something that we have always found special. It is never just a meal here. Each dish has a clear story behind it and as each course surfaced, the story progressed simultaneously. No matter how many times we have visited this place, we always find it truly unforgettable!

Wanted to love dining here as Narisawa is a true legend and had been looking forward to this for months, but it just comes up short on what is expected for a restaurant of this caliber and price point in 2023. Impeccable service, stunning and creative presentations, innovative ideas, but one of the many "world top xxx" restaurants that has lost the core of "make delicious food" then focus on everything else. A few excellent courses, but more than 1 fell flat. Unfortunately just not worth the price of admission for the iteration I had. Will be interested to see what changes post 20 yr remodel. Sake/wine pairing was "very good". 4.3/5. Most of the Sake's are curated specifically for the restaurant and are paired beautifully. The Japanese Chardonnay being produced for the restaurant simply doesn't hold up.

Be prepared to spend multiple hours enjoying an eclectic 15 course meal here. The philosophy at NARISAWA has remained unchanged and is beautifully explained and embellished course after course, but be expected to pay for it. Although some courses were extremely delicious, others fell short of their eye-catching presentation, which knocks a star off considering how expensive the course is. That being said the experience was overwhelmingly positive, both in terms of service and food.

Eating at Narisawa in Tokyo was an unforgettable experience. This 2 Michelin-starred restaurant lives up to its reputation, offering a culinary journey that is both innovative and deeply rooted in Japanese traditions. The quality of the ingredients and the creativity of Chef Narisawa are evident in every dish, making it clear why this establishment has earned its stars. While the price point is high, it’s justified by the exceptional dining experience and the level of craftsmanship on display. For those who appreciate fine dining and are willing to invest in it, Narisawa is highly recommended. It’s a must-visit for any food enthusiast looking to explore the heights of Tokyo’s culinary scene.

Bilingual staff, amazing food, great wine collection make this a perfect setting for a business meal or a gathering of friends. They do accommodate vegetarian option requests and this has made Narisawa my go to restaurant in Tokyo. Please also do get to the restaurant in time as they have very strict policy to shut by 8pm.

The rock oyster-likeness was counteracted, and the consciousness turned toward Koiwa. Kanagawa spiny lobster If I dare to say, this is by far the best Ise lobster I have ever eaten. It feels like eating an abstract painting. Paints, paper, and even picture frames. Kanagawa conger eel Mie, with new burdock foam sauce and chips. I ate this kind of conger eel seasoning for the first time. pigeon I chose Kobe beef (charcoal 2008), pigeon or pork, so I chose pigeon. With the theme of life and death, the visuals are a little grotesque. As with the design, you can feel the bloody smell even if you eat it. Is it more like eating art as it is rather than cooking? It's burned, but it even makes you feel like you're eating a living pigeon. Wakayama Umeboshi Ome gelato and red jelly. The difference in temperature and the visual impact are amazing. Fukushima white peach This is a well-balanced dish that looks and tastes good. Okinawa pineapple It is in the process of containing the Narisawa logo. After-meal drinks are fresh mint from Aichi prefecture. It is also the birthplace of the chef. Bread and butter were delicious in a normal sense. And redthroat seaperch. However, regardless of the taste, if you look back at the photos later, they all look like wonderful dishes. I wonder if this is NARISAWA in the world, as if the pursuit of taste had finally stopped. There were some menus that I thought were unpleasant when I was eating, but when I wrote a review after letting them rest for a while, I felt strangely wanting to try again. This is the most difficult shop to evaluate. Among the famous stores, I felt that the repeat rate of customers was low. But I think it's worth a visit. 4.0 The menu is a fusion of European and Asian cuisine.

(Translated by Google) It was a wonderful content that seems reasonable even if the bill exceeds 70,000 yen for two people. I ate "soil" at a restaurant for the first time in my life. I will not forget it. At the end of my life, I want to conclude my last supper with a full course of NARISAWA It is a highly creative French restaurant that makes you think like that.

Superbly creative seasonal menu. They give you a small booklet showing where your food came from - mountains to sea. The dining room is far more beautiful in person. The staff is kind and considerate. Each course offers perfect execution and fantastic flavour. I loved every bit.

The food quality and service was excellent. Especially the bread baked at the table! This is to be expected of a michellin star. We had the tasting menu which was well crafted. More transparency on the wine cost per glass would have been helpful - tip to those going: bottles of the house wine are much better value.

A dining experience not to be missed. Well heeled travelers will definitely want to visit the spectacular Narisawa in Tokyo. The 14 course meal is one sensational pallet extravaganza after the next..several of the dishes were the best seafood dishes I ever had, top with the best Kobe beef all over Japan. This menu with change seasonally, but you can be sure, whatever the selections, that your taste buds and other senses will be delighted.

The food takes you on a journey that is the reason it makes this place so special. Every dish is better than the last, the service was incredible and the chef made it a priority to visit each table. Having been in Japan for two weeks, this might be the meal I never forget.

Lived up to it’s not insubstantial praise. One of the best meals we’ve had in a while. Standouts were the caviar dish, local wine and bread. Very well done. Chef also stopped by each table. Great experience. Would love to come back and try the wine list.

The best restaurant in Japan. Exceptional service and extraordinary food. Chef Narisawa creates delicious works of art and every course has an extreme WOW-factor. His creations are not only visually appealing, but excites all of your senses. Definitely worth the wait. The bread of the forest was phenomenal as was the Japanese Yam, saga with caviar, as was everything else on the menu! Also, the wine pairing was spot on.👌🏻 The restaurant will be the first thing on our list when we revisit Tokyo.

Amazing experience as to be expected in such a world renowned restaurant. The food and paired drinks were all I could have hoped for, and the head chef met with us and showed us around the kitchen. We’ve been fortunate enough to dine at a number of Michelin restaurants globally (Japan, New York, Italy, Austria), and Narisawa is definitely one of the more memorable ones. Service was polite but still warm and friendly, all the staff spoke excellent English, and we were treated to a menu that truly showcased Chef Narisawa’s ingenuity. Described as “innovative Satoyama cuisine, Chef Narisawa does a good job taking you through a culinary journey — the first dish, Narisawa’s signature “Satoyama Scenery” is a beautiful interpretation of a forest on a plate. The most delicious raisin bread I’ve ever tasted was baked right in front of us, table side. Other highlights included the double-smoked Spanish mackerel infused with cherry blossom smoke, amberjack ceviche, and of course, charcoal grilled Kobe beef. The desserts also did not disappoint — loved the flavour of dill oil with Japanese melon! Halfway through dinner service, Chef personally thanked us for dining there, and graciously took a photo with us. It was a little tricky making the reservation (phone only, on the 1st of each month). In fact, I dialled over 200 times before I finally connected with someone, but it was well worth it! We absolutely loved our experience at Narisawa!
