The hotel is decent, but definitely the staff should be better trained. Everyone from from the receptionists, throughout the waiters and up until the spa staff are unaware of the concept that people staying at the hotel are paying their salaries and should not give them attitude and make them feel unwanted or intruding. We changed 2 bungalows, which were far far away from the 5 star experience, but at the end for additional charge we ended up in a great room in the main building. I suggest booking rooms in the main building since they look renovated. I am giving a great grade for cleanliness, because the hotel is definitely maintained appropriately. So 5/5 for housekeeping. The mini-bar is poor. Food is ok, but there is still what can be improved. There were no nuts, nor fresh juices (except breakfast). This is the only 5 star hotel in which we were rejected packed food to go, for a trip and we were told to get napkins and wrap sandwiches ourselves. The spa is a big one, but there is a lot to be improved as well (from the receptionist’s attitude, to the massages). Another thing is that we had to pay everything in advance and there is no option to charge the service to the room and pay at the end. As a whole we had a really nice vacation, so I recommend this hotel as it seems it’s the best in Hammamet.

Disappointing. A pity because with a bit of thought, could be excellent. Staff great. Rooms good but tired, with poor plumbing, leaks, and broken fittings. Reported, no change. Pools are very good, as is the beach. Shame staff cannot empty bins which are often overflowing. Also, only hotel I have stayed at where beach sunbeds not cleaned or tidied up. Food disappointing. Breakfast fine. Lunch ok, but in BBQ restaurant, same cooking utensils used for raw and cooked food, and for different foodstuffs. Also need to check as chicken often raw inside. Dinner not very good. Food often cold. Management clearly aware as they provide a microwave for guests to heat up food. As I said, could easily be a lot better. Definitely not up to Steigenberger standards

Rooms look amazing and spacious, the food is cold and always the same every day. The location is very remote with nothing to do. The staff are rude and the beach is very dirty, watch where you step especially barefoot as you could cut yourself on glass

Spent a weekend with my mom there, everything was amazing, the staff were super nice always welcoming, making jokes, they payed attention to all the details and the rooms were just super pretty. The location is perfect, few minutes away from both cities, two large pools, beach front with a very cool seaside. The food was also super tasty. They also had a spa, and another two inside pools, one was with sea water.

Read this before considering choosing this hotel for your holiday. I can conclude now that was the worst holiday I had in the past 5 years. 1. The hotel as many others said is NOT 5 stars under any standards. Is maximum 3 stars hotel with indulgence. 2. Insects, ants and flies are everywhere in this resort. Especially if you're offered a bungalow get ready to sleep with them every night. 3. The food is very basic and almost the same everyday (exception is the dinner) 4. The entertainment team is so bored. 5. The hotel is located in a isolated area so if you decide to go out of it, take a deep breath before. You better have a look on Google maps eventually to understand what I'm saying. 6. You can't sleep at night until 3pm because of the night club located on the beach near the hotel. If you're a party fan you may like this but if not get ready to moan about the situation for the rest of you staying. 7. The most important thing and the last. Get ready to have diarrhea eventually 2 days of bad stomach. You have high chances to get it because of the contaminated water/food or who know what you will find in the resort and you won't know. And the good part in all this is that the reception won't give you any solution for this issue. The nearest pharmacy is in the central Hammamet which is 20 mins away by taxi. That's the solution provided by the hotel when I complained about the situation. And wasn't just me. I heard discussions from other people about this. So consider this as as part of the holiday. I know for sure the hotel will denny my complain in comments but I wished not to be necessary to write this comment if they were more helpful at the moment when the problem has been reported. Good luck to everyone in order to make a good decision. At the end is your time health and money.

This is definitely not a 5 star hotel. It maybe was a luxurious 5 stars back in the days, unfortunately it is not now. Positives: the staff, they're all very friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and clean. Easy access to pools and beach. Negatives: The bathrooms need updating and other areas in the hotel. There are only two pools and one very small kids pool, don't think it should be called a kids pool. It is also far out from the main areas in the hotel. The playground is outdated and very sad. It is not open all day, only during certain hours. This should be specified properly on all booking sites and the hotel website as I have a child and the reason why I booked this was because many left good reviews about the kids club. Which also needs a major face lift. The beach is dirty, it is not cleaned. There are cigarettes buds, plastic and other rubbish everywhere. People run for sunbeds early in the morning to put their towels on sunbeds which is very annoying as they leave their towels the whole day and don't use the beds. There is no waiter around the beach to take orders, that's what you usually get at a 5 star hotel. Instead you have to walk all the way back to the beach cafe to get yourself a drink or bottle of water. The music needs to be a bit more chill during the day. This is not a beach club in Ibiza. Management needs to take a bit of control of the storm of 700 people pushing each other during lunch and dinner. My goodness, they act as if food is going to run out. It's a very stressful event, specially when you're with a baby. Definitely not a luxurious 5 star hotel.

This hotel is 3/4-star, not 5, as claimed. I am a regular guest at Steigenberger in Germany, and this one is way below the standard one would expect from this organization. I gave it a 2-star review only for two reasons the natural beauty of the sea and soft golden sandy beach plus the excellent service from ONLY a handful of staff members. Otherwise, it is worthy of just 2! Below are implications the hotel must address and for future guests to consider: Rooms are old, many aspects not functioning and simple things like cotton buds, shower cap not provided ( literally like 2-star standard) Some staff are rude, abrupt, and pass lewd comments Beach service minimum and bothersome vendors trying to sell their goods forcefully The food is hit-and-miss. Apart from the fresh salads and fruit, all meat is either overcooked, and you have to chew it like gum or dry like cardboard. Beware any single woman going - from security to servers; the remarks and attitudes will make women highly uncomfortable.

Maybe not the newest design or built hotel however it has exceptionally good staff, plenty of space, and a friendly atmosphere resulting in a very welcome stay. Highly recommend for great service, value for money and simply brilliant staff. We will miss you all. My ‘top tip’ would be to leave a dollar 💵 poking out from your place mat with every meal and the service gets even better!!

I stayed for a weekend and everything was perfect to me: clean and very nice room, very friendly, professional and smiling staff, really good food and multiple options for everyone, services at the pool and the beach are great, high but discrete security, and on top of it, an amazing experience at the thalasso center, thanks to the people working there, their kindness and flexibility. I loved every detail of this hotel. I noticed how all the indoor plants are natural and how they water them daily (new and fresh flowers in the room everyday). The staff is so friendly and thoughtful... everyone I met made me feel special (how they remember details about our preferences and wishes..) This is with no doubts a 5-star hotel to which I will come back for sure!

Great beach, beautiful sea. Rooms are clean and big, food is diverse and plenty. Wi-fi not great, not terrible. Would be awesome if the bars served fresh juices. Carpet on the hallway could use some deep cleaning. Overall, a good choice.

Our rooms keys kept deactivated , The safe had to be change twice after calling receptionist a thousand times , receptionist was rude even pool table was out of service( broke 😡😡) other than that great swimming pool, great location, good team in the coffee bar, great animation, food was OK. Overall it was a great experience but definitely doesn't deserve 5 stars *****

This hotel is about a 2 minute walk away from the sand and another 2 minutes to get to the sea, it has 3 pools that I have found so far 2 outside and an indoor pool. It's a bigger hotel than I'm used to. But went all inclusive for this trip. Even at the start of November it's busy and a fair few kids around. The restaurants always seem busy but there has always been food. So far I haven't seen an empty spot. That being said there always seems to be a long line for the hot drinks and the omelettes in the morning. The staff seem friendly and the hotel maids well the one I had seem to go out of her way to help including that love heart towel. For a single gent.

To be honest this hotel is no 5star. Whatever you need you are being told in 10minutes and at the end it doesnt happen.Just say we cannot fix it.We annonced the rooms to be close like 3months before and also get it confirmed 2times by mail.when we came it was like we asked for the first time. A small investment in changing old furniture or toilet seats which already are loosing color would be nice. The food is o.k 3star.If you use students as stuff than youbhave to live with critics since they overcook everything that is possible.all meat burned or half raw. Also if you charge the rooms so much give the kitchen a hogher budget for the food. Bad cleaning of rooms.Even you put the request our sheets were not changed for 2weeks.The only positive thing is the animation team.

Everything was great except for the cleaning lady taking and not replacing my covers and bedding, causing me to be sick for 4/7 days. Highly recommend you TRAIN your cleaning staff better - health is no joke! SERVICE WAS PERFECT WITH ALL WAITERS!

Honestly, my husband and I are pretty picky guest with quite high requirements in regards of the facilities, cleanliness, services, staff (attitude), environment, security etc. and the most important – sophistication, comfort, food, and tranquility. And we must say, this hotel offered one of the best, hassle free, experiences we had in a long time. So, if you are tired person, looking for an European standards matching quality, 5-star experience with just right amount of (but not too overburdening) attention, always helpful and respectful staff ready to go an extra mile, classical music quietly complementing your dining or pool experience, lovely and respectful animation team (if you choose to engage, otherwise invisible, loved it) and selection of classy activities like morning yoga at the beach, as well as Wifi available in all areas including the beach - this is the right place to escape your daily routine and recharge.

2nd time here so must tick all boxes, service, food, rooms and staff all excellent, so good we actually bought friends with us this time and they are very impressed. We are having lunch at the beach restaurant at this moment, great choice of food and lovely service. only one complaint.... the music and entertainment so very loud!!! Very uncomfortable, even on the beach its intrusive.

Just back from staying at this hotel for 2weeks, can't say enough about how friendly all the staff are including the animation team who do a fantastic job. Bar staff, waiters, cleaner's, spa center you all do an incredible job couldn't fault any of it, good value for money keep up the good work will definitely come back and Bach Bach keep mingling x x x

Staff are fantastic and helpful. Food - plenty of variety. Hotel cleaned every day in cluding bedrooms and main areas.we Pool bar staff excellent as is the beach bar. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in a bungalow, very spacious, clean, AC working, large bathroom and balcony. Huge variety of food, snacks, cocktails. The beach bar guys could be more focused, they seem like not present or bored. However, the reception and all the other workers are top, smiling, helpful and make you feel like at home. The sea has a little unpleasant entry and can be a little wild but it is ok. Animation team makes a great job! Only thing we hated were the flies disturbing our relax over the pool areas and do not go to the a la carte restaurant, it is a joke. Otherwise, we can only recommend the resort. Almost perfect!

A fabulous hotel & immaculate gardens, fabulous location on the beach. Pool areas good & no shortage of sunbeds. Dining room busy, but well organised & looked after by your waiter. A lovely week & just what we needed, but hotel too big for us.

I was there for two of weeks. This hotel is a disgrace .My holiday was a nightmare from start until the end. Everything is dirty around, food is uneatable, it is not fresh, smell very bad, and is cooking very unhealthy, with a lot of oil..Actually, I have upset my stomach and I was at bed taking tablets for 3 days. The hotel is very noisy, playing loud music all day long until 11pm except on Tuesday. Beach is very dirty , full of local people which are very annoying. If you don't want to destroy this year your summer holiday stay away from this resort!

We have just spent a wonderful 2 weeks here at Steigenberger Marhaba Thalasso Hotel. Our room was huge and comfortable and the housekeeping team were great and everything was spotless. There was a great choice of food in the buffet and the waiting staff were attentive and lovely. There were lots of activities provided by the animation team which you could choose to join in or not depending what you feel like doing. There were lots of sunbeds and we spent time between the pool, the salt water pool and the beach. We have had a lovely time and would definitely return.

White Sandy Beach, Crystal Clear Sea, like the Maldives with a better atmosphere ⛱️ night parties with a good vibes. If you are Tunisian living abroad and crave for Tunisian culinary, this is the right place for you. The chef is amazing, I ate all what my heart wished for. Workers are all very kind, friendly and helpful. Rooms are very spacious, beautifully designed, and very clean. Bed and pillows very comfortable; my son said bed is so comfy that I could not wake up 😁😁 Thanks everyone for making our vacation memorable. I will recommend to everyone this place 👍👍👍

Great hotel as far as an all-inclusive type. This was our first attempt with an all-inclusive, this experience left us happy but not completely satisfied. I personally believe that the food was not always great, unfortunately it was always the Tunisian food that was not as tasty as it should be, I tried some dishes in some restaurants outside the hotel and the food was amazing! That I believe is not great, as one may want to try some good local food, that may leave some customers unhappy with Tunisian cuisine which is absolutely not the case. Except for this little comment, I feel good recommending the Steigenberger Marhaba Thalasso for your next holiday. I believe this place is really safe, good quality and very child friendly, all the staff is amazing, very happy and exceptionally welcoming. I enjoyed my stay a lot! Thank you!

Overall service was excellent. The checking was seamless. The room was spacious clean and more than expected. The pools were sparkling clean. The beach was clean. The restaurant had so much choice for all three meals. I didn't book the Al a carte restaurants as there was no need with the choice. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive and would try to accommodate any requests. The lobby area including the bar was spotlessly clean. The staff went out of the way to help. The entertainment team entertained in the lobby area in the evenings and were very friendly. The spa was extremely clean. I made multiple bookings.

First ever experience in an all-inclusive Hotel and the Marhaba Thalasso did not disappoint. The room we stayed at was super spacious, with great view over the pool and the sea. There were some minor issues with the window that did not close properly (if you pull you could open it) and one of the side lamps was not functioning but aside from these minor inconveniences the room was 10/10. :) Every memeber of the staff was polite and kind and always greeted us with a smile. True, there could be some improvement on the service at the restaurant but just cause there was always 1 poor guy only running around for like 30 tables. The hotel was super clean, which is appreciated. The massages at the spa are an absolute MUST, 10/10 also there. Absolutely amazing and relaxing. Loved it. Loved also the indoor pool eventhough is rather small. All in all a very positive experience! I am not giving a 5/5 on the overall as I personally would have loved to see more tasty food at the main restaurant especially for the Tunisian Corner. I was expecting that at least to be packed with spices and flavours and to me that was not delivered. On the other hand, you have every day plenty of choices for every taste so I guess that's good.

Hotel area is nice and beach was clean (it was cleaned with tractor what cleaned sand from rubbish). More staff should be employed to quaratante cleaniness and hygine in general hotel (to clean windows with robots would be more effective than human-cleaned windows). Of course there is lot of clients in hotel and its hard to clean after every child, teenager.... Food was very exotic and delicious, but cocktail card should have more variation. Cleaning lady in room was very careful and cleaned it every day (there are some ants in rooms- you should accept them and dont bring sweet things in room). I generally got what I was expecting from hotel.

The hotel needs renovation. I will give a few examples that can be quickly corrected. The parasols for the sun loungers were rusty. The soap dish in my room was torn off. The tiles in the footwashing fountain are broken. The room needs to be washed: the bathroom is yellow, the seams are rusty. all the lamps, the curtains are stained. There are also stains on the towels. Gray toilet paper. The dishes are poorly washed: pay attention to the glasses and soup plates. And you need to clean the sand on the beach - it's all in cigarette butts. Food: please improve the variety of fruits. Watermelon and melon quickly get bored. And unfortunately the food was very monotonous. First, the sausages were grilled. then stewed in a roast. then baked in pizza. In fact, there are not many products. And every day there was +- the same buffet, with a large abundance of fast food. I liked it when they served crabs, mussels and brought cherries. The entertainment was good! Entertainment team well done

Great girls holiday heare in May 23. Staff very helpful. We celebrated 2 birthdays. Restaurant staff made it special. Flowers on the table and birthday cake. Food is good, great selection at every meal time. Also has a vegan section. We were all inclusive. Rooms are a good size with a balcony. Clean towels daily. Has entertainment in the evening. The hotel has its own beach which has beautiful golden sand. There is a staff member to look after you. There is a bar just before you go onto the beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel

I want to stay at your hotel but have some questions first please sorry to write here as I could not find any other ways to get in contact. 1) Do you have an iron in the room? or can I pay deposit at reception and get one? 2) Do you have Indian food like curry in your buffet style restaurant? 3) Are there any restaurant's close by doing Indian food/curry? 4) I want to stay in the a room on top floor with a good view with 2 adults and 2 kids aged 4 and 7, is this available in October 2023 5) Can I get unlimited water bottles from the bar? 6) What attractions are there to do? 7) Is there a bazaar nearby outside of hotel? 8) Is there a kids playground at your hotel? 9) do you have an indoor pool? 9) Is everything open in November for tourists? 10) what attractions are there to go to for tourists? 11) what are you breakfast, lunch, dinner times and snack times? 12) Do you have a lift?

It is a nice hotel. But requires alot of focus on overall service, especially room service. It has a nice beach front and 2 swimming pools that is great for all visitors and kids. My final thoughts considering it is rated as 5 star hotel. They could yave done much better. Overall it looks like 4 star hotel compared to others in different countries like GCC

The service at the hotel was excellent. The animation team were fantastic and the activities and the entertainment very fabulous. Very well done to Mario, NoNo and Aldo, who made my holiday exciting and fun. The bar & restaurant staff provided outstanding service. I have been at the hotel a few times and i have never been disappointed. Would highly recommend!!!
