Loved this hotel, the staff were so welcoming, always helpful, quick and attentive to all their guests. The rooms were clean and kept cool with air conditioning. Entertainment was great, food was delicious every single night. Easy access to a very clean and beautiful beach and plenty of water sports activities with once again super helpful and friendly staff who came out within 10 seconds when my sister got lost while we were jet skiing. The hotel have their own horses and stables which you can ride along the beach too. Loads of activities during the day too like yoga, archery and other sports. Just a perfect holiday really. The only thing is, there's not much to do outside the hotel in the evenings. A big thank you to ALL the staff at Phenicia Hotel! ♥️

just spent 4 weeks at the Phenicia , the hotel and people are wonderful , the food is terrible , I had diarrehoea for the last week of my stay so ate nothing and spent the evenings in my room with stomach cramps and squits. My wife has it now on the day we returned. Nearly every one we spoke to had either got it or had it. The food was extremely poor and low grade do not believe some of these sugar coated reviews there is not a vast selection of delicious treats there is a dire choice of low grade rubbish

Great staff, very helpful and friendly. This hotel is in bad need of updating. The bedrooms & bathrooms are not up to 5* standard. Damp and ants in bathroom. Would not recommend as not disabled friendly. Needed to be moved to a room with walk in shower as most rooms have a shower in the bath. Arrived on a Friday and was moved on the Monday. This was to a room which was down two flights of stairs, no lift. No direct lift to dining room. Breakfast on ground floor but lunch and evening meal meant walking up or down stairs. No rails to get in pool so not suitable for disabled people. Beautiful beach and very clean, but long walk for disabled unless in a wheelchair. Long walk back from beach with no drink stations after 5pm, as beach bar closes at 5pm. Not possible to get a drink until you are back in main hotel. No water put in fridge, needed to ask for water on the way back to room every day. Overall, good hotel for cost, but not for disabled or wheelchair users. In need of complete refurbishment.

Having read wonderful reviews of this hotel we thought we would book a week away here. On arrival my first thought was this is grim! My opinion didn't change much over the week. The rooms are very dated and not very nice. The cleaning wasn't great, the floor was dirty all week and the room was dusty. The aircon didn't really work, it was pretty warm! The bathroom was disgusting, the hairdryer was a waste of space it didn't work. Without proper aircon it would be too warm to use anyway. The resort itself looks good, it needs a bit of effort to get it cleaned and in good order. The sunloungers are filthy grubby and old. The food, breakfast is the same everyday. There are flies everywhere, no effort is made to stop the flies being on the food. Lunch is either main dining canteen or BBQ. The BBQ is great but it's the same everyday. Evening meal, you have to select a time you want food, 18 30 or 20 30. I don't like holidays on a schedule, its really annoying that you have to turn up at these times or not be allowed food. The main canteen is grubby, table clothes and coverings are old and worn. The food wasn't great, cold and the same taste. You get some brown meat or some white meat all taste the same. We didn't manage to try the onsite Chinese which is an extra charge. Unfortunately my partner got a bad case of food poisoning from the lunch BBQ. There are lots of cats around the site, they are very friendly, help them out with some water and a little food. And a tickle of course. Overall awful, choose a different country.

Spent a week here...the hotel itself is great, well kept and clean. The area around it tho is sadly not. The food is okay, but if spending two weeks I feel it could become a bit of the same old same old. Keys are the door are well not great, a few times we had to go down to rescan it to let us in the room. Are room was clean and tidy, and large enough, we had two large single beds pushed together to make a double which we did laugh at, not sure if that was in all rooms, but the cleaners did a good cleaning up, plenty of storage and the TV had a few English speaking channels. The pools are great, although again I wish the bars would serve up better size cups for drinks, their small coffee cup size, so take your own travel cups and the staff will fill up (a trick we found out but too late). The bars is where you get your water. Don't have ice cubes. The outside area is clean and nice with the trees etc, plenty of beds and room around the pools. The beach is brilliant the sea is nice, salty but warm, but there are plenty of jellyfish in the water, but that's down to the time of the year we read up on, again rubbish washes up on the beach sadly too. And we spent some time getting rid of a lot that watched up which needs doing big time along the whole beach. The hotel could do better with plastic use too, the soda is all bottles that are poured Infront of you, yet all bars have the machines, the ice cream spoons are those tiny plastic ones also, just to much plastic. Did not do much of the entertainment so can't comment on that but we did watch the fire show on the beach....get a seat early and it was okay and fireworks after was nothing special, but it was a good way to end the night. Staff are great friendly and helpful, Mohammed who hands out the blue beds by the pool works his socks off. We would go back here again, but wish the Tunisian government would clean up the country the litter is awful from the airport to the hotel and plenty of buildings are empty or not even finished or broken down. First impressions go a long way.

We spent 7 days at this hotel, but we wish we could spend all our life there! Definitely will return once again later, we won’t choose any other hotel in the country only Phenicia! The staff is brilliant extremely friendly and helpful everywhere in the hotel top to bottom. The spa section was so good and very cheap. The entertainment team was magnificent seriously they made our every day memorable! The kitchen and all the food they serve is so good and various and if we missed one there is another one. The waiter’s are always looking after you once you finished your drink there’s another coming feel’s like you have an infinity cup 😄 Best regards! “Justin” 😅🤣

Fairly nice big hotel. Lovely beach with plenty of sunbeds. Pool areas nice and large. Sunbeds are "reserved" with towels before official times. Food is varied a very good. Evening meal is split into 2 sittings. 6:30 - 7:30pm. 8:00 - 9:00pm. You are allocated a table which you keep for the whole of your stay. Breakfast and lunch has no restrictions.

We just wanted a relaxing, all inclusive, beachfront holiday where we can enjoy time together, sun, beach and cold beer. Phenicia Hotel was a great choice as they fulfilled all our expectations by being great host from start to end. Phenicia hotel have beautiful and private sandy beach with beach bar, really nice pool and it's area with a bar. Servis is fantastic and people are very friendly. Food is so tasty and a good variety everyday. Just bathroom cleanness wasn't great and should be approved. But honestly we couldn't asked for better holiday. 😊

This is probably the best hotel we have visited. The rooms are good, considering that they are only used for sleeping at night. The animation team makes the best impression. They are all young, energetic people who know how to entertain people. Alina, Yosra, Amir are very cool, funny and with a great sense of humor, the whole team is amazing. All in all the hotel staff are amazing and always ready to help. Not to forget the massage therapists who are also professionals and give incredible massages. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend unforgettable moments. We will definitely come back here again.

Ace, love the people love the place the food. Power adapters need to have a hole for the earth pin that sticks out of the wall socket, take some cash to tip the staff, it makes for a more pleasent stay. Big thumbs up.

First ever trip as a family of 3. It was indeed an amazing, wonderful, unforgettable time well-spent together. Special mention to Anis Hajji who made our stay extra special. Thank you so much for every single thing that you’ve done for us. It was highly appreciated. We can’t thank you enough for the warmest welcome, super fun activities, sumptuous dining experience, vibrant ambiance, cozy VIP room with the best view, and worry-free stay. The best holiday trip so far 💜 All staff, from housekeeping, reception, cleaners, chef/waiters, especially the ANIMATION TEAM, were super polite and friendly, very energetic, artistic, talented and will make you feel like a family. Highly recommended!!!

Staff really make this place/holiday amazing! Although it's annoying being asked by them to review them good on everything when they don't need to worry as they all do a fab job anyway, the food wasn't great unfortunately even for people who eat most things, everything else was brilliant and it's a lovely hotel with a beach close by, I'd recommend it for a nice week away 🌞

Just returned and what a fabulous stay. The staff couldn’t do enough to help from cleaners to waiters (especially billy). The food was great particularly in the Chinese restaurant. For the little time we spent in the room our rooms were great and provided us with everything we needed. The beach and pools were gorgeous and overall is a brilliant hotel and I will definitely be returning:).

This hotel is fantastic, it's laid out well, is on the most fantastic beach, lovely, very well maintained gardens. You have a main pool where all the animation staff are, or a quiet adults only pool. The staff are superb, nothing is too much trouble for them, they work so hard to make sure you're having a great time. The animation team has lots of different things you can do, from darts to zumba. Pool foam parties, fire shows, circus acts, and mini shows in the reception area. They make you feel so welcome. The waiters at meal time are brilliant. They just look after you so well. Special mention to Billy, who took care of us during our stay. The bar staff make sure you have your drinks, remember what you were drinking before, and as soon as your glass is empty, another is there for you. If you visit here, you must seek out Ali who sorts out boat trips, you won't be disappointed in them. Had a fantastic holiday here, and I can't wait to return.

Nice space. Expecting better experience with food, not the best. But the place is very family friendly, lots of activities and friendly team members. There was a few experiences of people asking for money or gifts (staff) but not a rule at all. Most was polite and understood we were there to have fun not to get them stuff. In regards to the food, was repetitive, basic food was not done properly, or burnt. The worst pizza ever. Breakfast missed a lot of breakfast stuff, had salad instead. Deserts were awful, you could get buy with fruit and ice-cream. But became representative. Not variety of fruits either. Orange and watermelon everyday. The speciality restaurant is a bad one.not worthy at all, doesn't waste your time and money.

Worse experience ever! Extremely poor hotel condition. not recommending at all! Poor bedrooms condition, dirty, smelly carpets, bathrooms dirty and very low maintenance level. Breakfast room/area super dirty, food on the floor. Myself and my partner couldn't eat, as we felt sick after walking in to the restaurant ( if I could call this restaurant ). On the arrival day after staying few hrs, I realised how bad condition of the hotel is and I requested check out and full refund. Even I have written confirmation, hotel Lied to me as it will be bank transfer by Nation Bank of Tunisia and it will take up to 4- 6 months. I am emailing sales manager weekly and no response. Unprofessional. The only positive I can say was a junior staff and lady at reservation and duty manager on that day. Other management unprofessional with no care towards guest. Do not book this hotel!

What a fantastic holiday we had. The hotel had all the required facilities and the staff were both caring and supportive. The heated pool was my favourite and I spent many a happy hour swimming into the Spa Section within the building and back out into the strong sunshine. Most excellent. The grounds are well tended with grass, trees and shrubs to meander through into the beach area and down to the sea. Bar service was dutiful and kindly. The Tunisian staff were welcoming and friendly, we felt like family within minutes of our arrival. On talking with other customers we found that many of them have been returning to The Phenicia Hotel for many years and we are looking to return with Lynn's mum later in the year. Any complaints? No. Suggestions? Yes two: 1. The hotel is undergoing a refurb and our room was great, but in need of a lick of paint. No issue really, as that is in progress. 2. Tunisian food is delicious and the restaurant should concentrate on offering more of their local dishes rather than try and cater for European tastes.

1st time visitors and we had 2 weeks of pure bliss. Decent weather coupled with A fantastic hotel what more could we ask for?. The rooms were clean with huge beds, Complete with a fridge which was great for the bottles of water needed throughout the night. Food was hot with a huge selection, there was something for every taste. (So any complaints about food not being adequate are false). All staff within the hotel were kind and considerate, they couldn't do enough for you. And finally the entertainment crew, they were the best we have seen in a long while and we have been to various countries. They weren't pushy with the daily activities they had going on, again polite and considerate. When it came to the evening entertainment they put on they threw themselves into every show they put on. We would happily recommend this hotel to anyone, and would certainly Return.

Everything is adequate. Food and service is second to none. Plenty of super fresh dishes cooked in front of you and fantastic selection of salad items. Billy is a great waiter! The white wine is Tunisian and surprisingly good. Rooms are functional but a little Spartan/ battered. The pools are lovely and the sea was fantastic to swim in. I have been for a few walks around the outside and everyone I met polite and friendly. I would come here again 100% Very good value in my opinion for some guaranteed sun.

Rooms dated, food repetitive & areas not as clean as they should be! Most staff work hard & really nice! People saying this is 4/5 stars are delusional & clearly haven’t a clue! Beech is fabulous though. Would I come back….no unfortunately.

I visited Phenicia back in July. We had a good time. The staff and entertainment are really amazing.Hard working stuff and we all should tip them well because they deserve it. I wish we could have stayed longer. My son loved it. We will come back.

Excellent hotel had a fab 2 week stay rooms kept extremely clean, plenty of food variety my only disappointment is that for my evening salad there were no cold meats, we had fancy things but nothing plain and not everyone wants hot food. There were plenty of cold meats at breakfast and omelettes, these would have been great occasionally at night. This is a tiny thing, the front desk were great and really helpful, the bar staff cheerful, the pool and beach men great and the hotel in general was kept spotless, yes some things are dated and need updating, but as it's the 1st year of operating after Covid shut down I think they did marvelously and I will be back and will recommend.

Lovely hotel and staff, great animation team, you can tell they love the job they do, there's some quality shows on a few evenings, they also play bingo and have tombola. Plenty of fun to be had around the pool. Nice pools in lovely surroundings and the beach is nice, also have dining area for bbq during the days My main gripe is that there is no ATM in the hotel which is quite an inconvenience, and service is slow at the pool bar and there is no table service and if you are not sat in bar area you will only be given a thimble worth of beer or juice, I saw, some people take their own big plastic cups, from home or bought from hotel shop (presumably) which is a good idea but you shouldn't have to, service else where especially in dining areas at meal times are excellent,

Very good food! Beautiful and clean beach close to the hotel. Very nice and helpful staff. Rooms cleaned everyday, but they need a bit of refreshment, but I compensate for the rest 😉 The best animators in the world !!! I will come back for them ❤️ They are fantastic ❤️ I would highly recommend this hotel, I will definitely be back ❤️

Food was very good and the kitchen staffs are very friendly. That make us come for the second time with kids. Entertainment here is amazing, thanks to the team for your great job. Like the heated swimming pool. Gym here is non existent, please update them. Bathroom got flooded on day one. Need new seals. Could have a hose for the toilet. Other than this all went really well. My friend will be coming next month with his family.
