It was a surprising experience in a four-star, newly renovated hotel suite to sit on the chaise by the beautiful window to enjoy the view and feel little bites on my ankle. Three in a row. What I came to learn is the signature bed bug bite. I was bit worried about it that night, but it wasn't until the next morning that my husband had a bite on his ear, that we figured we should report it. Luckily, we kept all of our bags on the shelves near the washroom rather than bringing them near the beds or the chairs. Perhaps the most surprising of all was the reaction we received from the hotel. In the morning, we informed them at the front desk, switched rooms and left for the day. As the day went on, we received a phone call saying they had inspected the room and found nothing. Upon our return there were three little chocolate biscuits on our desk to apologize. Expecting further accountability to come upon check-out, we gave it a few more days. Still no satisfactory answer or apology. We're simply shocked at this level of service from this calibre of hotel chain. The hotel stay was decent (I suppose, if you don't love pools or room service) after the room switch, but the measures we have needed to take to prevent bringing the bugs into our home has been scary. Some honeymoon. 😕 Avoid room #2816.

Stayed at multiple different Marriott chains in Montreal so expectations were high, and Marriott Chateau Champlain did not disappoint! Hotel is newly renovated, lobby and room were both modern and clean. Housekeeper was very welcoming and made us feel like home. Platinum elite benefits were slightly disappointing as hot breakfast was not available, M club was closed and there weren't any upgrades available. There was a strike going on during our stay, which made us feel uneasy going in and out of the hotel. Despite all of above, we thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay and will definitely be back when we're in town again! Special shoutout to Wendy and the housekeeping team for going above and beyond, assisting us with shipping back items we accidentally left behind. A+ for service!

Best location in Montreal!!! From our hotel you could take an elevator down to the Metro station!! We were literally across the street from the Bell Center. I recommend the concierge level. The lounge was always stocked and had excellent options. The staff was amazing!! Everyone was so incredibly helpful and extremely nice. The room was perfection. The beds were extremely firm something my family didn’t love but I’m sure there’s travelers who love it. The room set up was designed for travelers who love to put things away. The room was immaculate and we were provided with many amenities. The water pressure in the shower was incredible. The shower had so many options too. The toilet was magical…lots of buttons and gadgets. The bathroom lighting was great just wished they had a light up magnifying mirror that swiveled for makeup. The pool was closed with no date of when it would be opened. I’m glad I didn’t know that booking because that might of changed our minds. I’m so glad we did stay here. The parking is under the hotel with a quick elevator and a short walk to the lobby. Parking daily is pricey but it’s a city… kind of expected. When we come back this is the only place I can imagine staying.

It has changed quite a bit since I last came here! A lot of renovations have occurred. The rooms have been upgraded nicely The elevators are all controlled based on the floor you are going too. Which was great as I could ride the elevator alone. The service was great. Only thing which wasn’t so convenient was getting to the self parking garage from the hotel. It was a full process of walking stairs and 2 elevators. First time I got lost as there were not enough adequate signs from the garage to the hotel. Overall a great hotel!

The room was bright and spacious, and had a good view. However, upon arriving my boyfriend and I found a giant toenail on the floor just outside of the bathroom that we had to clean up. Our towels weren’t replaced the next day and when we asked the cleaning lady for more she said there were none. Yet, we called the front desk and had 4 brought up to us. How do you not have any towels in a 4 star hotel? Then, the next day, she repeated the same behaviour and didn’t replace our towels! It sounds like she didn’t want to do her job because she also didn’t replace our ice bags, we had to ask the lobby for those too, and she didn’t wipe down any of the counters that had a tiny bit of drink spillage. I expected a lot more for spending over $1000 this weekend. Otherwise the staff at the lobby were lovely and the check in was fast/painless. The location was ideal as well.

Very beautiful hotel . Sauna was available 24/7. There is a high end restaurant. Also a good breakfast buffet in the morning. Walkable to everywhere. Parking: there is a parking on site which was easy to find and drive and a valet service. Parking costs extra of course. My room had shower only, not a bathtub. I think a bathtub would be nice.

Beautiful hotel. The view of the city is ecstatic from the 24th floor!!! We are usually very picky borderline germaphobe and this hotel is newly renovated, rooms are very clean, modern, offers carpet free room. Shower offers great spa-like jet pressure. Even though we went during the pandemic and newly announced curfew, we enjoyed our stay during New Year’s Eve. The room was beyond our expectations to enjoy our little celebration. The only comment I would bring is the HVAC system is loud. I would recommend any tourists and locals to stay at this hotel. Awesome location in the heart of downtown Montreal.

This is everything you could expect a modern Marriott to be. Every little detail in the room is carefully considered and of high quality. The room was quiet and surprisingly large for a downtown hotel. The bed and pillows were excellent. The location is exceptional for so many things, notably the train station and the metro.

Great hotel, fabulous service! The location is perfect downtown, it's directly connected to Montreal underground, walking distance to Bell Center, restaurants, museums, subway... It means during winter time you can walk straight from your room to pretty much anywhere downtown without having to step a foot outside! Rooms are modern and very clean, you can feel they were recently renovated, and the large windows offer amazing views of Montreal city center! Few people will notice, but they have a world class elevators system, very efficient with insanely short wait time! Spacious and modern fitness area, great equipment, and even a sauna! The M Lounge is worth a try, they have Chef prepared appetizers from 5 to 7pm! Also large selection available for breakfast and great service.

Hospitality was top notch. I went for a staycation and got my friends birthday in Montreal. We booked this hotel and it turned out to be the best. Rooms - are little compact however it was neat and clean. I love the washroom fixture and the shower cubical but there was no bathtub unfortunately. Service - 10/10 as I wanted to organize few things in the room for my friends birthday as a surprise and the staff were all in to help. Also I want to mention about Daniel the doorman who was the sweetest person that I encountered in the hotel and was very humble. Thank you for giving us a memorable experience. 😇

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at in every way. If you like interior design, you’ll especially love this place. Also their breakfast at the M Lounge is a proper breakfast. Felt taken care of the entire experience. And the sheets were so soft. Loved every second. I’ve also been to Montreal at least ten times and never had a bad experience so standard has been good, but this was my favorite stay.

Clean and friendly! Everyone we spoke with at the front desk was super nice. Concierge was very helpful in guiding us to a dinner spot. Housekeeping was on point. Our room was on the 32nd floor with a view looking towards the river-beautiful!!! Only issue was we couldn’t get the room to go below 72 degrees Fahrenheit so it was always a bit warm. But it’s winter so it was tolerable. Absolutely would stay here again. M Club was very nice! M Clubs are a new concept for Marriott-they’re moving them to lobby levels so they can be larger. However, travelers should keep in mind that the elite membership tiers are super bloated right now because of Covid, so most lounges, like this one, are more crowded than in the last. Therefore, the staff is always one step behind with refreshing items. Plus people are always trying to take advantage of anything ‘free’ so staff is always working to crack down on that, like asking for your name and room number before you’re allowed in. I personally totally get it. But others don’t and that can be a ‘turn off’.

This is a nice hotel, the room I was in room 2015 which was nice, spacious, modern and clean, with a great powerful shower, great coffee making machine and lots of space to hand my clothes. The chaise longue was a nice feature to relax on and enjoy the views of the city and the gym at this hotel is amazing, it’s truly better than some fitness group gyms. The downside is that the windows are not doubled glazed and even though I was on the 20’s floor I could hear the street noise (see video) and without soft closes on the doors, it’s annoying when the people in rooms around close their doors (see video). Overall the service was great and I had a very pleasant stay. Rob recommends: try a higher floor maybe you can’t hear the street from there

Rooms were great, newly updated. Service fast and pleasant. Parking would be tricky for any taller or longer vehicles. Elevators were fast and efficient. Terrace was nice. Walkable to downtown and old town. Only challenge is accommodating around the weather and detours due to construction. It’s not the the “middle” of any area, but walkable for sure.

The room was small and bathroom is cramped. But the view from the room is beautiful. The lobby area is nice. The breakfast at the concierge is good but not enough selection with the hot food. I wished oatmeal was served. Lots of cold food such as prosciutto, salmon, cheese and more. Also lots of pastries and great selection with beverages.

My Dad and I were on a bucket list trip and stayed here a couple nights. We had a hard time navigating the Parking garage to get up to the hotel, and even once we got there we had to use stairs, lugging my luggage this way wasn't convenient at all and frustrating after the 9 hour drive. Once we checked in everything else was smooth. The bar was fantastic for a late night drink. The shops and Hockey rink we wanted to go to were all within walking distance. The room is spacious and had everything we needed. They don't provide daily housekeeping right now, that's OK but some fresh towels would've been nice. The staff was nice and helpful and thankfully spoke English very well as we don't speak any French.

We checked in today and so far so good. Very professional staff willing to assist and answer questions, even on the phone when I called a day ahead. Walking distance to MANY restaurants and shops, metro is just below for easy access to other attractions. Hotel is just recently updated, beautiful modern decor in lobby, bar and rooms. Also took a peek at the terrace bar and gym and we are very pleased with both. Will post again when our stay has ended but we are very happy with everything here so far!

We spent an exorbitant amount of money for two rooms during the 1st week of July. For a hotel of this size, the check in lines are insane. There are only 2 counters and it took forever. We arrived 415 PM and were told that one of our rooms was still not ready and that they would call us when it was. So we piled into the other room and waited. 1 hour later no call and no keys. So we decided to explore the surroundings instead of wasting time. Another 2 hrs and no call and no key. Had to stay in the long check in line again another 30 min to just get the key. The rooms were clean but very small and the phone buttons didn't work so couldn't reach the concierge directly. No room slippers and room service never delivered them till we called 2 times. Paid 45 dollars CA per day for valet parking and each time there was a new scratch on the car. When we complained about an actual ding they refused to acknowledge the same and kept giving me numbers to call none of whom answered my call. We will NOT ever be staying here again....

We had a great stay. Location is excellent for downtown, Bell centre, old montreal, etc. The hotel itself is nice and rooms have been updated with a modern look to them. Bed was comfortable but best part was the shower. It's large and has amazing water pressure and control system with rain, water fall, jets, etc. The bathroom is missing hooks and towel bars to hang up your towel and I wish there was an extra bar of soap for the shower. What we didn't like: The M lounge should be open by now for eligible bonvoy members. Stayed here last summer and they said it would open in a few months. Almost all covid restrictions have been lifted. Why not open the lounge. There is still no room service. That's ridiculous. The breakfast service in the restaurant is very slow and perhaps they are understaffed. It took way too long to get our order in and it took a while to get the food too. There aren't a lot of good options very closeby to eat breakfast when it's freezing outside or we would have gone elsewhere.

last week it was awful to live in this hotel. They didn’t have heat for three days. It was -5 outside. We had to wear many layers when we in the room. As a platinum member, When we checked in, they didn’t even mention this problem otherwise we would change a hotel. We feel got trapped. After we spoke to the reception, they said sorry and that’s it. Plus we have preference on the file that we prefer a room not beside the elevator however they arrange us a room right beside elevator. I don’t think this is a good way to be treated as a platinum member.

I loved staying here the service was great, the room was very clean and nice. The view was spectacular and the archway windows were definitely a selling point. The location is unbelievable and was able to walk to more than half of my destinations. My only complaint is the towels smelled very strong from bleach. Otherwise I really loved staying here and would definitely recommend'

By far one of the best stays in Montreal. It is in the perfect location where you are away from the noise but with easy access to everything. the reception and service were immaculate..beds are super comfortable and the view is awesome. You could just go here for the shower.. I think i took a 2 hour bath as it felt like being in a waterfall . Hight recommend it.

Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed by the management and resolution team at this hotel. I sent two emails to two front desk managers about an unpleasant incident I had during my stay which I will also leave below. "During one of the late evenings of my stay, I was waiting for my roommate in the lobby finish parking the car. I was sitting in a quiet area by the elevators where I hoped to be easily found as her phone had died. There was a man in the lobby and a group of loud women farther by the dining/breakfast area. The security approached me (and only me) and immediately asked as he stood over me if I had a room at the hotel. I told him that I did and was waiting for someone; also if he needed to see my keys for verification. His response was, "I trust you.!" And further leaned in towards me and said, "I'm just doing my job!!" and walked off. The interaction was extremely unpleasant and bizarre to me. How can someone not even start with a greeting and then ask if I'm staying at the property? Out of everyone else, why was I the only approached? Why did he find the need to stand over me and come into my personal space in an intimating manner? His response and behavior was quite unprofessional which prompted me to send this email. I am extremely dissatisfied with how I was treated as a guest by this man at this hotel." It has been exactly a month since I wrote this email to the managers as well as Marriott corporate and no one has returned a resolved apology. I've been a titanium member for two years now and I am rethinking my loyalty to the Marriott brand.

Stayed here just for one night, amazing location, nice rooms, loved the terrace, beautiful hotel. Would definitely like to have more breakfast options. My only complaint was that the receptionist that gave us the key for our room was not as nice as everyone else and had us waiting for a couple minutes after saying: I’m trying really hard to find you a room, which doesn’t make sense to me because I booked my room 5 months in advance, so that comment after waiting for a while made us feel like we might not be able to get a room, not the best thing to say to a customer at arrival. Once she gave us the key she didn’t share any information whatsoever about the hotel, breakfast, wifi, like all the other receptionist were doing with other customers, apart from this everything else was exceptional.

This hotel is well situated within a 15-minute walk to anywhere. Parking garage right next to hotel, and you do not need to use the hotel valet service. The service was excellent, and the staff is super friendly and professional. The elevator is very modern and fast. The room was well designed and the shower out of this world. The staff at Club M was professional and helpful. This will be the only hotel we will stay in Montreal.

Remember to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. This site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the best in this area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you won't be disappointed. Great, clean rooms, nice floors in the rooms, not carpet so very clean. The shower is the high point for sure. Tons of pressure and volume, multiple heads. There's a fridge and safe, and changing area. It's about an hour walk to old Montreal, but the metro is right underneath the hotel and accessible by elevator.

The worst hotel experience ever…we were put in a connecting room. The connecting door was unlocked both ways, giving us access to the other unknown guest’s room and vice-versa. By the way the guest were not present at the time. In disbelief we notified the Manager right away, she came to our room and acted very nonchalantly about the issue dismissive of the huge security breach. Needless to say this escalated the situation since we were travelling with our young kids. She was telling us to calm down as we tried to convey the danger she was putting us in. We had to demand another room but we didn’t even get to that point as the manager completely mishandled the situation. She was unapologetic and clueless to say the least. This was a 2 hrs nightmare of an ordeal, we ended up leaving. Be aware, the parking is not part of the hotel and every time you leave you have to pay again. For you and your family‘s safety avoid this hotel at all cost.

Great location. Access underground mall, restaurants and metro station right from hotel. No need to go outside braving the heat, cold or rain. I love it. Bike rental station is right in front of the hotel. Great views from the room. M lounge serves good food.

This hotel was a bad experience. It started with Front Desk guy telling me I have an upgrade and got a worse room then my colleagues. Then HVAC didn’t work and it was 25+ outside, it was so hot and stuffy, so they had to come and replace the motor etc. and take everything apart. Went to tell the front desk guy and in the middle of talking to me, he left to go talk to someone else, ignored us and didn’t make note of it or help. The Club Lounge, save your money, not worth $60/day. It is the same stuff everyday cheese, some cold meats, barely any food and only 1 hot item like mini spring rolls. However, the staff in housekeeping, club lounge and waitress in restaurant were the best! They went out of their way and extremely friendly. Front desk could learn from them. Gave it a 3 star because the rooms were really nice and the staff that were mentioned. All in all, I would not stay there again.

Nice hotel in a great location, very convenient to the Bonaventure Metro station...BUT there is one big issue: the air conditioning is TERRIBLE. Despite setting the thermostat to 20, our room never got below 24 degrees celsius, which is too warm to sleep comfortably for me. I would advise against staying here during the summer months if you require a cool room to sleep. I called the front desk to inquire, and after some back and forth they admitted that the A/C is a frequent issue there. I expect more from a hotel where I'm paying $400/night

One of the best hotels in Montreal, especially for the price point. Updated, very clean, friendly staff, great location, beautiful views. I stayed in both a 2 bed and king bed room during my stay, both were spacious and very comfortable. I felt very safe and cared for here. I have stayed at some very nice hotels but something about this one was just exceptional. Could be because I spent so long looking through all the outdated, small and just ugly rooms that all the other Montreal hotels have. I had booked at The Fairmont and The Ritz Carlton before reading reviews and looking at photos, then was about to book the Four Seasons before I found this one for under half the price! I actually ended up extending my stay I loved it so much and will be back.

Excellent stay at this Marriott. From the first greeting at the entrance to the goodbye, everyone was on their game. This is the type of service you would find at a higher tier. The room was very comfortable and a lounger that I actually used. The bedding and bed were smooth and soft. And the room was quiet except for the A/C which is not very loud. The view was incredible from the 22nd floor. The coffee machine didn't really work and the ice machine (23rd floor didn't give much ice), but nothing to be upset about. It was a short walk to St. Catherine's, the metro, and arena, but still felt very quiet.

From the front desk, concierge, housekeeping and doormen, the service and quality is impeccable. I will make a point of staying here again on my next visit to Montreal. Big shoutout to Ian and Mamadou and all of the desk service during my stay. The breakfast buffet selection is extensive and everything is prepared perfectly and served at the proper temperature. The fruit was fresh and sweet, and they even had fresh passion fruit. The chateau really made my stay quite special. Here is the view from my room…

This location truly shines with its proximity to everything you might need. It's strategically positioned in the heart of the city, granting you easy access to a plethora of attractions, dining options, and entertainment. Whether you're a tourist exploring the city's vibrant offerings or a local looking for convenience, this place has it all. While the parking options nearby can be a bit on the expensive side, a cost-saving tip is to explore the neighboring areas where you can find several more affordable parking spots if you don't plan on frequently moving your vehicle. However, if the convenience of in-and-out parking privileges is a priority for you, then the Marriott stands as an excellent choice. They provide a solution that ensures your vehicle is just a call away, saving you time and hassle. One aspect to consider is the challenge of picking up your luggage at the door. It can be a bit of a hassle as many vehicles tend to park in this area without considering the flow of traffic. This can sometimes impede the smooth departures of others. However, the courteous staff and security measures in place aim to mitigate these issues.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Worth it for the price. The lobby smells great and looks very high class. Lots of space to relax. The rooms very very modern and clean. I love how the hotel gives you free water. This small gesture goes a long way which is why I am giving a 5 stars. It bugs me how other hotels charges you for water! The location isn’t bad either. Around 5 min walk to shops and restaurants. Only suggestion to give is to fix the tv chrome cast. I tried a few times to connect my phone to the tv and even called for support, but still couldn’t get it connected. Overall, I will recommend this hotel!

An amazing experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. The room was spacious, clean, and had a beautiful view of the city. The hotel amenities were top-notch, with the delicious on-site restaurant. The location was also perfect, with easy access to Gare Central and the city. Overall, I highly recommend the Chateau Champlain for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

My two-night stay at this Montreal hotel in November was a delight. The room featured modern amenities, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The central location allowed easy exploration of the city's attractions, while the panoramic views from my window showcased Montreal's fall beauty. The on-site dining options provided a delicious taste of the local culinary scene, specifically the M club. A memorable and convenient stay, perfect for future visits.

The hotel and the room were nice, well located but they charged us $100+ for the buffet that was included with our room and won't cancel this charge. I'll go elsewhere next time. EDIT: After submitting my negative review, a representative from Marriott reached out to me. In response, I contacted them and they promptly initiated a service request on my behalf. Consequently, I received a refund. While the resolution was satisfactory, it's unfortunate that the initial experience necessitated such action. Raising from 1 to 4 stars.

Great location, beautiful park view, great museums and exhibits that are easily accessible from the Metro with my family. We stayed during a very busy time of year, just before new years day. Maybe that is why the elevators took so long. We had to wait for the second and sometimes the third elevator because the first few times, the elevator car would be too full for anyone else to get on. One star off for the elevators.

Located in the heart of the city, next to a subway station, easy to access from all around it, this hotel since it’s recent renovation is absolutely AMAZING!! They’ve updated so much such as the rooms, the lobby, the restaurant and many more things! From the outside, it doesn’t look that good but stepping inside and you’ll be amazed. The staff is truly friendly, they try to help you as much as they could. Despite the covid, they are giving their 100% I think to stay on track. Food is great and the atmosphere is absolutely enjoyable since they’re applying all the précaution to avoid any covid cases. I’ll definitely be back once I’m back in the city!

Very good location, cleanliness and service but the rooms feel more like a 3 stars hotel : towels very old and thin, cups for coffee/tea are in cartoon! Nespresso machine obviously not descaled since a long time, shampoo/conditioner/body put in bulk bottles in the wall (like in minimalist budget hotels), no vanity kit, etc. So the 4 stars are for checking the amnesties boxes (gym, restaurant, etc.) not for the rooms.

Service is questionable. When I checked out there I left my bags in the bag check room. When I came to ask front desk to retrieve them the gentleman working was suspecting me of not being a hotel guest. Also told me, "look for your bag". Was kind of rude. Also my post card I had asked them to mail out still hasn't arrived yet and its been almost a month. Rooms were nice and recently rennovated.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Marriott Chateau Champlain. The newly renovated rooms are great, the location is perfect, every staff member we interacted with was very helpful. I’d like to clear up the parking issues in the previous reviews. The parking is operated by a separate entity. Take a ticket when you enter the garage, hotel designated parking is on level S5, there is an elevator that goes directly to the hotel, keep the ticket and pay by credit card at the gate when exiting parking.

Gorgeous hotel, they really outdid themselves with the renovation. Everything was perfect. If you can, I'd suggest requesting for a room on the upper levels as the city view is incredible. Also, the staff is very kind and helpful - I will definitely be staying here again in the future!

What a gem! Newly renovated hotel in the heart of downtown by the Bell Centre. Front desk staff were really friendly and helpful. View in the room we got was unreal on the 26th floor. The shower was everything! Loved all the features and setting the shower head had, felt like I was at a 5 star hotel. Can’t wait to come back.

The hotel is fully renovated! Great new interior design (bye bye to reds and yellows!) rooms looks so modern, aired and elegant! Bathroom brand new too and super modern! Also loved the M Club! Great space, comfortable, great option for breakfast and afternoon drinks. The restaurant is also great! Staff goes beyond and above to details and service! Loved!

Beat hotel I stayed at in a long time. Clean, friendly staff, and best location. It's literally close to everything. You do need to rent a car or barely need Uber unless you plan on leave the downtown. You won't regret staying here, trust me.

This hotel has been completely remodeled. Every aspect was considered making this a must stay. I'm a Hilton rewards member and chose to stay here instead during travel. The GYM will blow your mind if your into those things. It's the biggest gym I have been at with all state of the art machines.

Great experience. I stay 150 nights a year for business so I have a lot to compare. This hotel was super clean. Updated room was modern and so comfortable. Bed was firm and comfortable. Staff was super courteous. Hats off to the general manager

Beautiful rooms and great views of the city. Service and professionalism from the local team trumped some older finishes in the ballroom area and elevators from parking to lobby. Rooms were well appointed - very functional. Highly recommend.

Had a great 3 night stay here. The hotel has been recently renovated. Everything from the lobby, gym, rooms were beautiful. The staff were great too, and service was quick. I will keep this as a 5 star but I do wish there was in and off parking privileges for guests.

Marriott Review We loved every aspect of it. The hotel has been recently renovated, and looks very nice. We had the city view from the 26th floor which was fantastic. The service and daily cleaning was spotless. Extra toiletries always available in the room as we were a family of four and usually have to ask for more toiletries but everything was generously refilled daily. I drink a lot of coffee in a day and the Nespresso capsules were fully replaced every day. I loved the fact that with a new renovation, there is no carpet in the room and the bath tubs are replaced with rainfall showers. The fitness room was spacious and fully equipped with all brand new equipments. The staff were all great. We mainly dealt with Peter who was there every morning. Very professional and helpful. A 5 minutes walk to St. Catherine shopping stretch and a 15-20 walk to old port. The weather was lovely so we enjoyed our daily walks. The price was also very reasonable for the quality. We definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again ourselves when in Montreal.

Very nice place in the Downtown area. It's a bit south of the main tourist areas, but still well located. Friendly staff at the front desk. The room is spotless and very well appointed. We have a view of the river from the 28th floor. Their is a parking garage under the hotel.

Good hotel, very clean. Great location to watch the game or take a walk to Old Montreal. One major problem is parking. They do not have hotel parking and you need to park at paid parking spots near by which means you need to pay every time you leave the parking area, there are no in and out privileges throughout the day. Also the parking spots that are walking distance from the hotel will not fit a pickup truck or anything close to that size.

The renovations, of course, helped out the hotel. Everything was fine and this hotel is a 4 for sure. Even though the hotel appeared to be quite empty, as we stayed there Friday-Sunday but we have not seen a single person in the lobby. Yet, the management decided to put all of the little number of guests on the same floor. The staff was nice but they always managed to fulfill our requests for towels/toiletries wrong, even though they were submitted thru the app. Overall, it’s in a very good location and it was a good value for the money.

This was the highlight of our stay in Montreal. A great hotel. It is still being renovated, so you will see a mix of old and new things. But the new is oh so new! Great rooms and a very modern feel with lots of amenities. Overall a pleasant stay.

The room had a great view and was quite nicely appointed: big, beautiful curved window overlooking the city; chic and useful would describe the rooms decor (I like the sectional sofa with over-the-lap desk). The location is solid, too, with a Macca's down the road and basically every part of downtown Montreal within walking distance. The gym was nice and had a vibe reminiscent of boutique gyms. It didn't have much in the way of weights, though: only 2 45-pound free weights, for instance. Still, surprisingly well-equipped for a hotel, and it's open 24 hours. They took a night to change our sheets when we discovered blood on them - I assume this was due to a lack of overnight staff - and this aspect of my stay was disappointing. Everything else was a +, so I'd say 5/5 at a high level =)

Stayed here for 2 nights. Room is recently renovated. Lounge / breakfast is adequate. Location is excellent. Lots of elevators so you won’t have to wait getting up and down.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent four-night stay at this hotel. The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms and communal areas was impressive. The staff stood out due to their friendliness and willingness to help, making our stay even more pleasant. The hotel boasts a prime city location with a Metro station conveniently situated just beneath the premises. However, we did encounter a problem related to parking. Despite the hotel's name being prominently displayed, we were unexpectedly asked to pay upfront for the entire duration of our stay upon entering the lot. This created some confusion, especially since we had opted for the parking package. Matters were made more complicated as the parking attendant directed us back to the hotel. In the end, we had to liaise directly with the parking manager to secure a refund. Furthermore, the hotel's parking level (P5) lacks direct elevator access, requiring guests to lug their baggage up a flight of stairs. Moreover, it seemed as though the hotel was on a cost-saving mission. The room amenities like towels were not regularly replaced, necessitating explicit requests at the front desk. The quality of the toilet paper was also notably rough, resembling sandpaper. These minor inconveniences may contribute to the hotel's savings but, in our opinion, slightly detracted from the overall quality of our stay. They also placed an unexpected onus on us as guests to ensure that our needs were met, which was a bit of a letdown considering the price of our stay.

Great hotel. Good location and room condition is good. Comfy bed and great shower. One of the best shower that I ever had. One thing that made me disappointed was they did not have clean room ready round 5pm(guaranted check in time is 4pm).

Huge thanks to Pierre who made my stay a memorable one! The hotel is very clean, modern and the rooms are gorgeous. As a gold elite member I was offered an upgrade to a higher floor with an incredible view. Pierre was the one doing my check in and he was wonderful. Honestly everything about this place was great. But the best thing would definitely be the shower! Would 100% recommend to stay there.

Truly a 4 star hotel. The view of the park and cathedral was beautiful and the room and hotel was very updated and modern. I liked that there was no carpet and it was all hardwood which elevated the stay. The parking is not owned by the hotel which was inconvenient as there are no in and out privileges, which is okay since you need to pay for parking elsewhere in the city too, but still, it was a bit limiting for us. It was also a bummer that the hotel staff were striking management right outside of the hotel and blasting music at 7 am, disturbing us from our sleep. Location was a 5 min walk from the shopping district but a 30 min walk from Old Montreal.

Excellent hotel! We had a city view king room on the 24 floor, I believe. Stunning views of all the surrounding tall buildings and you can also see the bridge is lit up at night. Centrally located this hotel is within walking distance of almost anything you would need.

I had a wonderful time at the Marriott Chateau Champlain. The hotel was impeccably clean, both in-suite and in the common areas. The staff was very friendly all around. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Montreal with an amazing view of the surrounding area (at least from the room I was given.) The hotel was very quiet (except at some times in the lobby which can be expected.) One issue to be aware of is that not every floor has an ice and vending machines. Best to ask the staff about this at check-in, if important to you. In general, I'd happily stay at the hotel time and time again.

Had a lovely two night stay here in a king room. The hotel is centrally located for most of the major tourist sites in Montreal and felt brand new. The bed was luxurious and comfortable. The shower was borderline overwhelming however once the multiple water streams were figured out it was a great time. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast both mornings, which had a great spread of food though the offerings didn’t change. It is reasonably priced at $32pp. Would stay again!

Great Hotel with a fantastic location and nice rooms. M Club lounge open from 6:30 to 11 with great choice for breakfast. I had a issue at checkin with the front desk but I’m sure it’s not the norm as all the other staff were great. I will go back and i recommend this hotel

The hotel, the staff, the environment... They were all 5 stars for my family and I!! One individual that truly stood out for us was Marie-Noelle... She was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Super kind, courteous and friendly!!! Could not have asked for better service than the one that she gave us!!! Thank you so much for your amazing help and courtesy throughout our stay! We will most definitely be back! :)

The staff is friendly and the service was great. The hotel has a beautiful view of the downtown. The rooms have been renovated.Everything is brand new and is extremely luxurious. I wish to stay here on my next visits as well. The location is closer to via rail station and the metro station.

This was my favourite of 30+ hotel nights in 2022. I love the style and decoration of the room, like a chic modern version of mid-century modern. Nice separation of bathroom and storage from the sleeping area. Great sized TV, desk, side tables. Nespresso and nice tea selection in the room.

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a room. This website will compare hundreds of hotel sites and typically will have rooms much cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the best in this area. I have been staying here for years. If you choose this place you for sure won't be let down. What a great hotel! The room was clean and well organized. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The location was great! Close to everything we needed. (Walking distance to most of major attractions) Would love to come back and stay here again!

A complete redo of this establishment made it exquisitely beautiful with wonderful appointments. The elevator system was so easy, push button for your floor, an elevator opens and takes you right to it. The restaurant and bar had a great breakfast buffet in the morning and wonderful service for drinks at night. Comfortable and chic.

We love this hotel for the location! Underground parking was convenient, the park out front is a bonus, and although we didn’t use it, the gym and sauna looked awesome. The rooms had a great layout, huge windows, NO carpet which is amazing in my opinion, also came with robes and slippers, and the shower was so fancy! Always a great experience!

One of the best hotel experiences we've had, ever! Check in and out was a breeze with very friendly and helpful staff. Great location - even with all the snow, we were able to walk to where we wanted to go. Fantastic Concierge, Julianne, was beyond helpful and kind! Their personal touch to service is much appreciated. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Marriott Bonvoy membership is a bonus with all its perks!
