We had a 12 hour layover in Montreal and were very excited to see the city. My partner booked a cheap hotel on some website so we could have a place to nap between our two red eyes, leave our bags while we explore, shower, and leave. Our expectations could not have been lower for this experience. Unfortunately the locks are missing on the room doors relying just on the doorknob lock which doesn’t feel safe so we didn’t want to leave much of our luggage in the room. There was also just a general lack of cleanliness and the place smelled of cigarettes intensely so a nap was rough. We knew it was a cheap place and didn’t expect much, truly. Perhaps if you’re partying on this street and just need a place to crash it’s fine, or if you don’t have much money and you’re really desperate. But otherwise if you can afford somewhere else I would not recommend this hotel. I am giving two stars because it was not pleasant but technically nothing bad happened.

Great value for money at this place. The building seems a bit old, but the rooms are just fine and the beds are comfortable. They also have 24 hour reception. The neighborhood can be a bit noisy on the weekend (big party area) but this wasn't a problem for me. The Wifi was also good. Just FYI, since the Google Listing mentions coin-op laundry, the system they have is that you drop off your laundry and the owner returns it to you. I tried to do this, but they weren't able to accommodate since they had to much other laundry to do. Not a huge problem, but worth clarifying. Overall great value for money, I'd stay again.

Location is OK, at the far end of Ste Catherine -but that's the only positive point! Interestingly, the hotel offers companions for your nights, that crawl on your body: yes, bed bugs. I killed 3 of them on 3 different nights. It stinks. Breakfast is less than minimal.

For the price & location, right in the heart of downtown Montréal, its got its advantages. However, while I wouldn't describe it as dirty per sé, the overall cleanliness could benefit from more attentiveness on the part of the staff. Also, the rooms are small, and being a 24 hour operation, you can hear other guest's comings and goings through the walls. We heard a loud argument between two other guests coming from the hallway around 2am and it kept us from sleeping. Not ideal for children, but for adults looking to spend a night or two exploring the city, it's a decent option.

This is the worst hotel ever. When we arrived, the door was locked. We tried calling and rang the bell but nobody let us in. We waited outside with a baby and a toddler and after a while when nobody let us in, we had to book something else. When trying to get a refund, very incompetent staff was extremely rude, did not listen and hang up. This is the most unethical thing!

Traveling Canada for 5 week, this was our twelth hotel, and it is the only one we found unsuitable for human habitation. We stayed for a total of 5 minutes, and did not actually check in. There is no lift, which they say is on the booking site, but I missed that, but also it is dustingly filthy. The carpet looks like it's 70 years old, and has never been cleaned, and the whold place stinks like cigarettes. My wife would not even step off the sidewalk at the front entrance. There was homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk nearby, and vomit in several places. Upstairs at reception, there is washing and drying machines blowing wet air on me as I tried to explain my wife can not climb the stairs with her knees and hip, but the woman just shrugged her sholders. I was charged for two days and the booking company would not refune a cent, but that was better than if we stayed there. We found another hotel at Saint Hubert street which was a little more expensive, but money well spent.

Owners are very friendly, attentive and hardworking. The room and the bathroom are always very well cleaned, specially the bathroom. Excellent location in Downtown Montreal, close to the subway station, many cafes and other commercial locations, and it's a nice neighbourhood. I was there with my son and my daughter and I definitely recommend it.

We were in the top floor last year. my friend smoked so we could go out to the porch any time. We had keys to come and go at night. Nice lite breakfast in the morning . Friendly pleasant staff. We told the staff we would be back again next year. Great location.

The hotel room was good. The receptionist was friendly. As mentioned by previous reviews the floor mats had stains. But the hotel is in a very prime location. It was really amazing spending time in gay village on Saturday night. For the price it was worth. Do not go there with very high expectations. It is an average hotel but in prime location.

Can't really complain about this place. You absolutely get what you pay for. If you're looking for an inexpensive place just to lay your head at night while visiting Montreal then this one is worth considering. If close to the metro station and closish enough to old Montreal that you can walk if you're fit enough. There are a few things a place like this needs to get a good rating from me and these are 1. Working air conditioner 2. Good wifi 3. No bed bugs 4. Quiet 5. Safe 6. Working hot water The rooms are even serviced daily. This place had it all. If you're looking to save on accomodations and splurge on other areas of your trip (FOR THE PRICE YOU PAY) this is a great option

I would say that the maximum stars that I could give this hotel is 3 stars, however due to uncertainties, I could give them a total of 2 starts for now. First of all, the location of the hotel is literally close to various shops, restaurants, and bars. If you're looking for a nightlife in such a diverse community, this is the best location for you. Room is acceptable. If you just need a place to stay during your trip or if you won't care about the aesthetic of the place, and if you're looking for an OK budget, then this hotel can be good for you. They do housekeeping regularly somehow. Bedsheets somehow smells clean but looks old--our bedsheet even had cigarette holes in it. Moreover, the room can be tight that it may trigger your claustrophobia. Regarding their service, when checking in, the guy in the reception was nice. I tried to address my concern regarding a partial refund since our trip got cancelled the previous morning but he just directed us to the customer service of our third-party booking agency. Next morning, I spoke to another guy in the reception about the same concern but I got the same response as well. No big deal on this since I understand that they wouldn't want to escalate things and they would like to avoid such misunderstanding as possible. But it's nice of him to let us know that there is a designated small breakfast room beside the reception. At the end of the trip, I spoke to the customer service of the third party booking agency about the partial refund, however, they informed me that the hotel has decided not to proceed with it. Regardless of this, I still appreciate their accommodation. TLDR; 2 stars hotel. Great location. Tight rooms. Clean but old bedsheets. Their free breakfast is OK. Just regular muffins, loaf bread, and coffee, etc.
