Honest review, if this was a review only for the drinks and Atmosphere it would be a 5 star all day! They are great and friendly. The food quality is a major factor in a good restaurant review. The food presentation is nice. The quality of our food however was not good. As photo documented the wings had what appears to be freezer burn marks “white dry areas” and the texture and taste was not pleasant. Typically we would look past a single issue but the fish was going south and very fishy. We are big seafood eaters and know when fish is on the bad side. My wife ordered the fillets and the cook and seasoning was not a quality we would expect when going out to eat. I do not wish to leave negative reviews and only leave our honest opinion to help businesses grow and take advantage of this platform. Thank you

I went with a friend and we split three appetizers: the fried mushrooms with ranch, the loaded fries (cheese, bacon, green onions) and shrimp nachos! All three were very delicious and served in generous portions! We are outside in the patio area and it was very nice! The server brought me a sample of beer before ordering which I appreciated, and ended up ordering something else so good thing I tried the sample! Lol All around a good experience !

Friends in town recommended highly recommend checking out Hank's Tavern and even that didn't do it justice! I walked into a super clean and great ambience place. Not too loud, not too quiet. Comfortable seating. Friendly waitress came and got me started very quickly and the menu is on a tablet they bring and gives great, full descriptions and pictures of menu items. And about those menu items.... they have a 50/50 burger patty option....hslf beef and half... you guessed it: BACON! I got the 50/50 burger with extra crispy fries and a side of bbq sauce. So amazingly good and at a very reasonable price! I will be back!

Had a 5 day trip from metro Detroit to muskegon with the family. Meals weren't great but Hanks Tavern was our saving grace the last night there. My wife and daughter each got the surf n turf (only complaint was the lettuce was too wet), my oldest son got a custom burger he loved and I got the Hanks Orginal (pictured here) and it was so flavorful. The prices were very affordable, especially compared to other restaurants that weren't even half way good. The service was top notch and seating both inside and out seemed good. We go to Muskegon every year and Hanks will be a must go for us (as is Handsome Hobo).

I really liked it. Very comfortable. Cozy fireplace on a cold day and warm drink The Adult Grilled Cheese was delicious and the service is excellent.

Have only ordered take out but order at least once or twice a month. LoVe the hand battered mushrooms and onion rings. We normally buy a few of the boxes and share. Food is always amazing, the service in house during pick up and on the phone during ordering is always so friendly and nice.

Outstanding! I would highly recommend the mushrooms and onion rings to start. Hand breaded and absolutely delicious. The Memphis burger is hands down the best burger with pulled pork I've ever had. Messy (in a good way), full of flavor, and cooked to perfection.

Went to Hank's on the 13th. Our Server, Brennan, was great, as was the food. Burgers, burritos, wings, a wrap, and fries were all stellar. The only negative was the chips and cheese...there didn't appear to be that much cheese, and they were mediocre. But we will go again, and we give it a 4.5 out of 5. 👍

Our server Gigi was wonderful..friendly, made the meal more pleasant for sure! Food was great! Outdoors patio is fantastic over looks a small river....have gone the Hank's several times and will go again!

Hank’s Tavern quickly became one of our favorite local restaurants! The customer service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is very cozy and upbeat. Food and drinks were great, and having to be gluten free, I was very thankful with the variety of GF options they had on a dedicated gluten free menu. They even had a gluten free dessert—a GF chocolate lava cake—that was amazing. We will definitely be returning to Hank’s soon.

Great menu with lots of choices. Drink specials were good but maybe consider adding some local craft! Reasonable priced meals.

Food were good. Not as good as other places but it was good. Drink was okay. Would i buy it again? I don’t think so. But all in all, the service was fantastic. Lady was really friendly. Food came out really fast. This is the fastest dinner we had.

Brooke is phenomenal! Always pleasant, accurate with our orders, and always follows up to make sure our dining experience is pleasurable. One of the main reasons we dine at Hank’s. We enjoy the consistent good food and especially margarita Mondays!

I would say hank's tavern is probably one of the most consistent restaurants in west Michigan. They meet at the apex of food quality, service, and affordability. Their menu has a wide range of options, including gluten free offerings, that will cater to everyone in your party. The bar is well stocked with the essentials and they have a host of house cocktails to keep adventurous and playful drinkers alike entertained. What I particularly appreciate is that the prices are very reasonable and that I can afford to add-on/order extra on a whim without being concerned if I can afford to treat myself. Hank's is a weekly destination for us and if you haven't been there, I strongly urge you to rectify that lol.

Cute atmosphere - clean, trendy and bright. The food was pretty standard - not great, but not bad. We got the nachos, truffle Ruben, and strawberry walnut salad. The nachos were dry with a small amount of over cooked shredded cheese (would not get again), the salad was ok (the strawberries tasted frozen), the Ruben and onion rings were solid.
