    My "sterling silver" ring changed colour but People's would not even allow an exchange. AVOID THIS COMPANY at all costs. It's a shame that the company is named "peoples" when that's the last thing on their priority list. Four of my friends all planned to get engaged, and asked me how I liked my ring. I told them to never choose Peoples (this means the company will also be losing out on some amazing business). I never thought such a successful company would treat their customers this way, but it just goes to show that MONEY IS THEIR BOTTOM LINE!

    A while ago, my husband took my engagement ring to be resized after he proposed to me and he realized it was the wrong size, I knew my actual size but he did not as it was a surprise. The “lady” working there told him he should have bought the right size to begin with and that he should have brought me so that “she didn’t have to do this again in two weeks”, hope something’s been done about her ever since.

    Worst customer service. There was two ladies working today and they were both busy when I got there so I waited patiently. Then when the one lady with the short dark hair was done with her client she proceeded to help a lady who just arrived in the store knowing that I was already there and waiting as I was walking around until someone was available. Finally I was getting help and she made me feel as if I shouldn't be in the store. I even asked how much a pair of earrings were and she said "oh you don't want that they are to expensive because they are real diamonds $4000" I said ok and moved along to some cheaper ones I was buying for someone. I wanted to buy a pair for two different people so I saw a pair I liked to bought them and decided to go home and purchase the other pair elsewhere. I feel I was judged by my look which sadly is common. Don't judge a book by its cover. You don't know how much someone has to spend or is willing and if they weren't spending big or at all who cares. Everyone deserves to be treated the same. Her tone changed between her talking to me and the other clients as well as I heard the previous client say "I will go home and buy online for my granddaughter" the lady said no buy here in store. I said the same i will check the other pair online and she said "okay thats good, yeah you should do that". I can only assume she just wanted me out by her behaviour. Oh well I will take my business to the jewellers who care about their customers.

    I should have checked other reviews first I suppose! This place just plain sucks, for lack of better word. I went in to enquire about a custom wedding band to replace what I currently had, and after waiting 15+ minutes to be spoken to, I was told that although People's does produce custom wedding bands, that they are "very expensive" and then was asked bluntly if there was anything else she could help me with. Yuck. First rule of sales, never assume what a customer is looking to spend, let them tell you. I promptly went across the hall to Michael Hill and purchased two rings with the help of their amazing customer service reps.

    I purchased a pair of beautiful earrings for Christmas to give to my girlfriend from the People’s Jewellers at Markville mall. Upon my girlfriend opening them on Christmas Day, she noticed that one of the clip that held the earring to your ear had no resistance. During Boxing Day, we went to the People’s at Upper Canada Mall to get the issue resolved. We ended up waiting 25 minutes for someone to even acknowledge we were even there waiting. Finally, a lady eventually came towards us without any smile or nice greeting or even a “sorry for the long wait”. We processed to explain the issue we were having with the earring so she opened the box and picked up the earring that did not have an issue and started pushing the clip in and out repeatedly. We tried telling her 3 times that it was the wrong earring and after ignoring us 3 times she looked up at us and started yelling at us saying “why are you being rude, I’m trying to help you aren’t I?” Then she huffed and puffed and went away, leaving us amazed that we could be treated so rudely for no reason at all. She finally came back handed us a replacement for the broken one and said “better!” with extreme attitude! My girlfriend, one not for wanting confrontation and arguments, just said yes and so we left. Once we got home, my girlfriend ended up noticing that the clip that had no issue, was now broken thanks to the lady from the store. She was extremely upset! I wish I knew what this ladies name was because no customer should be talked to in this fashion. This was my first experience shopping with People’s Jewellers and if I was able to give the store a 0 out of 5 stars I would, extremely disappointed!

    Terrible experience, the woman who worked there was rude and condescending. I was also given false information in hopes that she would make a sale. Your better off to go to another location or order online. P.s. this is my second time interacting with her so it wasn't a one off

    Unbelievable customer service. If you visit this location there is a gentleman who I believe to be the manager that does not know how to treat customers. You will have your night ruined at best with his attitude. I would hate to work with such a person. Thanks to customer service online for getting me my return he so rudely told me was impossible. Brutal.

    SAVE YOUR TIME, SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE! Order got canceled for no reason! Then they held the funds for over a week. Also told me I’d be able to get the items at the sale price but told me that item is sold out and they don’t have it any more , I was buying diamond stud earrings from a jewelry store FFS!

    Amazing customer service! I purchased children’s earrings for my daughter with a unique screw backing. I went to put it on her and the back fell and I couldn’t find it anywhere as it is extremely small. I searched everywhere to find a replacement part online to order because it was my fault for loosing the item. I contacted peoples and they were extremely understanding and responsive! The manager John said that we can bring in the original earrings and he will exchange them for a complete set. I was so amazed about their customer service! I will definitely continue purchasing from them!

    Marne was very helpful paying close attention to details regarding my wedding rings. Very thorough with the sizing. I never took into consideration where they would sit on my finger. She suggested a 1/4 size down from what I thought I needed. Very happy with the service.

    Diamonds are similar or comparable where you go..be it another people jewelry location. The main difference to my experience was the service provided by Alla. She is absolutely knowledgeable, helpful, and very much customer minded. She presented multiple options to me and provided pros and cons of each that helped me to narrow down the choice and chose the one I wanted. Alla is the best.

    I love this People's.. I love my jewelry, and I can be difficult at times, but they are always patient! I also love how they remember their clients when they come back, and whenever I've had issues, it's been resolved so quickly and fast. It's my favorite jewelry spot!

    Your hours say 9pm. All week. 10pm Thurs Fri Sat. I came at 820pm. And they were very closed. I drove for a half hour to get there. Just to have to turn around to drive the half hour back.....please correct your hours... gas is expensive

    If you come to the Upper Canada Mall location, ask for Swati, a lovely lady who works there, she helped me save an extra 20% on the item I was buying and even called me to make sure I got it! I am very grateful for meeting her and can assure you that she’s got your best interests at heart. 10/10 would come again.

    Manager at this location ruined my night. Told me I would not be aloud to make a return without original receipt. I had to speak to customer service online and show him the messages before he so rudely agreed that he would do it. Never visit this location take your money to Howard jewelers or Kavar , both much better to deal with for any jewellery needs.

    Nice people,prices not to bad had a stone replaced in my ring and dam if another fell out not sure if the place the use is checking the claws ,hopefully they check them and I don't,loose another or we will have a problem,thank goodness there insured through them

    If I could rate this store a zero, I’m gladly going to do it. I was asking a bracelet I found from their website and the two associates (young guy and old lady with an accent) were a bit condescending. I get that working in customer service can be stressful, but that’s part of the job. They should train to acquire customer service skills and treat their customers properly.

    I received horrible customer service from the older blonde lady. She first gave me attitude on the phone when I asked about resizing an engagement ring set that I just received. Then when I went in and was being helped by a nice dark haired lady, she approached me and asked if I was the one who called and rolled her eyes. Once I receive my rings back I will not be visiting this location again.

    I've been in here multiple times looking for assistance. I really love the Levian jewelry collection and they only sell it at people's (to my knowledge). However, every time I walk in the staff give me NO attention. They don't ask if I need help, or even say A THING to me. They are the worst staff I've ever seen. I just walked out of there a few minutes ago. I was the ONLY customer in there with 2 staff and they didn't even give me a second of their attention. Please replace your staff at this People's location!!!

    We shopped at the upper Canada mall yesterday and had an amazing experience. The sales lady "Masuda" was so friendly and professional. I wasn't planning to purchase for sure but she made my decision making so much easier. She was not pushy or aggressive which we did find refreshing. We ended up purchasing my diamond wedding band which I love. Thanks again to her and the store manager who was friendly and helpful as well. Keep up the great service it makes a difference! !
